We love this store. It may be a new concept and you have to figure out how it all works, but it's worth it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Clean store, clean bathrooms and easy parking. It may not have a million items on the shelves like another store, but it has the most beautiful and fresh produce, and their weekly deli specials ( Fantastic pizzas) are tasty. The meat and seafood area is well stocked with resonable prices. We are weekly shoppers and enjoy it. read more

Fruit and vegetables are top quality. The store is clean and easy to find items. When I finally figured out how the items are scanned and how to use easy check out, it's like magic! I have now been here a half a dozen times. Every single time there's some sort of problem. The stores small, has very limited inventory is incredibly overpriced compared to other stores in the area. It's 20 to 30% higher than Safeway and 50 to 60% higher than Winco. I keep getting lured back with these incredible coupons that they put out. Today I had one for $10 off $20 worth of charcuterie and then when I went to check out, the girl refused to scan it and sent me to Customer Service. The employees here obviously hate their jobs with a passion. I know times are tough but I think I'd rather have no employees than employees that are so extremely rude. When I went to customer service to get my $10 that she refused to scan the coupon for. I got the old eye roll and it took her 10 minutes to figure out how to give me $10 back and she never did use the coupon but did keep it.......She finally just returned an item that I bought off the receipt. This place is awful - stay away, go to Whole Foods better yet just go to Winco. read more

The ambience is flawless. Similar to Starbucks Amazon has paid a lot of attention to the design with great lighting, colors and layout. This is a place you don't mind spending 30 minutes to an hour to shop unlike places like Winco, Safeway or Fred Meyer. The deli options such as pizza is great and beats Costco's pizza slice by a mile. I am giving it 3 stars however because the customer service is hit or miss. Some of the cashiers are nice but some are very deficient in the basics such as greeting the customer. I'm not asking for small talk but a simple "Hi" or "Hello" would be nice when I am up to checkout. Because my credit card for some reason doesn't work with the "Just Walk Out" technology I am forced to go to the human cashiers and its always a gamble on whether there's a nice cashier or a indifferent one. read more

Always good to have another grocer in the area. Their prices are a little higher than average, but it's kind of like a mini-Whole Foods. The pizza is great, the selection is OK, and you can do your Amazon returns here easily. I usually pick up a slice of pizza after processing a return and head out. My 2nd time there as 1st time, still exploring and like the idea to skip the line. Have had enough with line at self-checkout at Wal mart, Safeway or Winco and the limited items numbers of 10 or 15, if it is over 15 items in cart then I will have to get in line for cashier check. Love the salad bar and pizza oven, convenient and you can buy good quality pizza or salad items. Price is a little higher than other grocery stores since it is convenient and good fresh quality. $4.97 for a roasted chicken is beating other groceries around area. Costco chicken is almost same price and bigger chicken, but Amazon fresh chicken is the right size and taste better less fat for us. Wish there is a burger or Taco or Asian food bars next to salad bar. Overall, good experience and less cluster of customers waiting in line at check out. read more

I went shopping here the day after it's grind opening. You just grab a regular cart use the app on your phone for in store purchases scan it go in and start buying. They have an ok assortment not a lot of it though. They had already ran out of some things on sale. They have bananas for 15¢ each great price but they are cut no bunches. They only had spotted bananas and green bananas. A lot of the fruits is sold by the each. Not the best produce. They have pizza thin crust large slices with interesting toppings but they must have ran out of dough or something was out or not functioning properly. I asked if they were going to make more pizzas they only had 2 kinds that looked dry. They said they were not going to make anymore so they handed me a $5 off coupon and said sorry. Great rain check the whole pizza costs $9.95. The salad bar looks good, you pay by the container so pack it tight and full so you get a good deal. The bakery is scarce very basic, there is a hot is a hot bar with with pork rice chicken, corn and a lot of fried tortilla chips. Also sold by the container I did not find it appealing but others did pack it tight and full if you want it. They have a deli with meats and cheese you can have sliced along with salads. It's small and bare bones looking. They have sushi I did buy the sushi. As far a supermarket sushi it was not bad. H mart has the best supermarket sushi in the area but the fish at the Amazon Fresh is thicker and if you get it fresh made it's good supermarket sushi and a good deal $10.95 for 6 tuna or salmon at half and half. The California rolls are a bit dry basic but for about $6.50 ish not a bad price about the same as Fred Meyer's. The poke bowls looked good. The roasted chicken is $4.95 half the size of Costcos but Costco chicken has been smaller lately $4.95 is a good price. When I got my receipt a few hours later I saw that the $10 off coupon was not applied to my purchase It was scanned in by an employee, so I contacted Amazon customer service they are going to apply it. Check your receipt they were spot on with what I put in my cart. When I got item I clearly showed the cameras how many items I was taking and I put things back. They have better specials than Safeway some items cost more some less. Winco foods and Walmart cost less for everything but those store have massive amounts of people with carts heaping with groceries. They don't have a lot of stock on the shelves, it's not like Winco foods or Walmart you are not going to buy a few cases of canned vegetables and stock up. This store is like a well priced super convenience market. It's great to pick up lunch or dinner and buy things on your way home from work. It's great for a singer person that only wants 1 banana 1 orange1 apple 1 tomato. Definitely not a place to do your family's grocery shopping, but perfect for replenishing and fast. Check this place out I just went to try the pizza it was $1.99 a slice not a bad pizza better than the heavily sauced Costco pizza. This place is definitely not the place to do your grocery shopping. It's a place to pick a few deli items and to get a few things things you need on your way home. I went in to buy a gallon of milk they only had 4 gallons left all 4 whole milk. The store dose not carry a lot of one item the shelves are not deep. today was my first and last visit to the Amazon Go store in Federal Way. Very confusing upon entering, you can't just walk in, you have to have the app loaded on your phone or use a debit/card associated with your Amazon account. The offerings inside the store were very underwhelming, limited brands and variety. I was there before 9am and they had yet to start stocking the meat counter. i asked for a bit of assist upon exiting, the friendly person did try, but when i asked about the total or a receipt, she said she didn't know how any of that worked. it is over six hours since my visit and still no receipt. also no charge on my card yet, so i have NO idea how much i will be charged and no receipt to check and see if everything is copacetic or if the coupon code was applied. i called amazon, they transferred me to the Amazon Go agents, and even they do not have access to the receipt. evidently this is pushed out from the store itself. the very basics of a good business model are to let the customer know HOW MUCH they are being charged and an itemized receipt. i'll take Safeway and Winco any day over this store. even if they did have a DJ. read more

The place is very clean. There are a lot of selections. There's also Deli. I wish they have something other grocery stores don't have to be more attractive to the customers. Love the high-tech. I was able to scan my phone to go in and scan to go out. No standing in line to pay. But they also have something that's super low-tech. Someone had to guard the alcohol section. If you want to check out the alcohol, they have to check your ID. I thought since they know who I am, they should know I'm not a minor. Most of the stuff is more expensive than in a normal grocery store. So this is like a novelty to me. Not a store I would come back to on a regular basis. read more

I have been meaning to come here for a while and finally had an excuse to come last week after taking my mom to an appointment. I didn't have to do any grocery shopping because we only came here for a quick bite. Everything looked really well organized and fresh groceries wise. The store was super empty except for a few people getting lunch from the hot bar and prepared foods section like we did. The prepared food looks a lot like the ones at Whole Foods stores but the food didn't taste as good. I got a beef brisket sandwich and it was okay not great. I've finally given up on Amazon Fresh! They ALWAY pack bags of chips with 2 liter bottles of soda and guess what happens, the bags pop and the chips get crushed. Now they won't refund me for the damaged items because they are "Not Returnable". I need to find a grocery delivery place where the baggers are not total idiots. Plus the about half the delivery drivers can follow simple delivery instructions. read more

I love the Amazon Fresh stores! I've been to the one at Factoria mall and this one in Federal Way. The prices are seriously great and the Just Walk Out tech is a game changer. After shopping here, regular grocery store checkout seems more of a hassle than ever before. The quality is great and the shelves are pretty well stocked. The super low prices in the weekly circular amaze me every week - and the coupons are super generous. I can't believe the stores aren't busier! And the prepared foods are great. The pizza is awesome (I think it's the same yummy pizza at Whole Foods) and the best bargain in town. $9.99 for a huge cheese pizza. Can't beat it. If you haven't been, give it a try! And if you get the weekly circular, make sure you use the coupon (although you have to use the regular checkout). read more

This store is brand new, so there obviously will be teething pains. One of them is figuring out how to get the QR code to get into the store to begin with. This should be more obvious, but It wasn't, and there was only one person helping people bring up their code. Another employee came up to help, but it still took a few minutes to walk me through it. It seems like Amazon Go used to have a dedicated app just for the cashierless shopping, but that morphed into the Amazon Shopping app, where it is not obvious how to bring up the code. I suggest figuring out how to bring up the QR code before trying to get into the store for a smoother experience. I did find what I was looking for, but some of the shelves were nearly bare, and selection was limited. Whole Foods has a better espresso bean selection, for example. I didn't get my receipt until 2AM the next morning. It was correct, but in the meantime, I was wondering if I was going to get my stuff for free. All in all, a pretty impressive feat, and I expect to go there often when I am in the area. read more

This is a members only store. If you have an Amazon account or an Amazon Visa card, you can enter. Instead of a checkout, the cameras are monitored 24/7 and you get a bill for whatever you put in your bag and took with you. If you forgot your phone and have no card, you can also scan your palm on entry and pay at the register. They also have grocery pickup and delivery options. You can also have Amazon online orders sent for pickup at the store. If you come during meal hours, they have a hot bar, a salad bar, and an olive bar. Their grocery prices are on the high side, around the same range as Trader Joe's. But the hot bar and salad bar were quite standard, nothing special, unlike Whole Foods. They have Alexa kiosks around the store instead of staff to direct you to the right aisle. read more

I shopped on day two of their grand opening. I really love that I can use my Amazon account to scan when I enter complete my shopping and then exit. However, I will probably not be coming back. The quality of their fruits and vegetables was low, and the prices were high. For every day items, their price was far above Safeway or Walmart. The seafood was also quite a bit more expensive than H Mart and the staff is not properly trained on how to handle seafood and wrap it so that it doesn't leak. read more

I decided to give this fresh new store a try. I was shocked by the high prices! All items I usually buy were $1-2 more than Fred Meyer or other grocery stores. One example was Fiber One bars. They were priced at $5.99 per box for 5 bars. I get the same exact amount, same brand at Grocery Outlet for 99 cents. That is a $5 price difference. Diet Coke was $8 for one 12 pack. At Fred Meyer I can get 3 12 packs for $12. It seems like if an item is on "sale" then that is the normal price at a grocery store. The store was nice but due to the high prices I won't be shopping there. read more

I am a huge Amazon fan... Always a first user of new concepts and was excited about shopping at my first Amazon Fresh store. I was happy to see that I was able to start ordering online from Amazon Fresh before the store opened 2 days ago. The orders arrived on time and even though the loaves of bread looked like the may have been poorly package and arrived a bit mangled, I was very pleased with the service. Today was my first day actually shopping at the physical store. There was lots of confusion in front of the building and no employees outside directing the flow of customers. So, a huge traffic jam with people not knowing what was show and what was shopping. After entering the store, there was someone there to demonstrate the use of the app and how to use it to Pay and Go without using the checkout lines. This was the most important thing I wanted to experience. I hate lines... after I finish shopping and want to leave the store, I hate waiting in line like a captive waiting for someone to ring my purchases after I take everything out of the cart and then reload all my purchases and then pay. I watched a YouTube regarding the experience so I felt like I was fully prepared. Ok... Wrong. This store does not have automated carts so you don't see your Alexa shopping list or your running totals or items being added or subtracted from your cart. But that is ok... as long as the bill is accurate and I don't have to wait in line... I'm game! However, the store is extremely small and has little product. It does not offer anything like the assortment online. There is little to no variety. The produce looks like it has been left outside too long and the deli is not a deli... It just offers Oscar Mayer prepackage product or Hill Farms... there is nothing FRESH about this store. I found nothing interesting in prepared foods to bring home. Just the usual frozen meals and premium prices. The staff was present but very poorly trained. I stood at the door for 10 minutes waiting to enter while the greeter spent time blocking the entrance lane as he talked to a customer on the other side of the gate. I asked an employee where to find Peanut Butter and after much checking on her scanner I was directed to the back of the store in aisle 3... only to find her 5 minutes later putting it out at the front of the store in aisle 2... by the way I hope you like Skippy... that is the brand thing they have at this store. I will give it another try later... I like not waiting in lines. Wish List: It would be great if they synced to my Alexa Shopping list and just directed me thru the store. But I'm dreaming! Trained Knowledgeable Staff Engaged Employees that are not afraid to Approach Customers New Store New Concept be sure and have people or maybe a video running that explains the process... this could speed up service. read more

I came in one night because I was thirsty, and decided to see what Amazon Fresh was all about. Seems like a pretty average grocery store, a little underwhelming. Pretty cool experience, I can imagine it being convenient for some people. I think I will stray away and stick to my regular grocery store though. Especially because the night security dude is a joke!! I went to the cashier check out for my convenience, the lady rung me out, we exchanged a few words right in front of the security dude. He was sitting down distracted on his phone the whole time since I walked into the store. I started walking out of the store after I had paid, and dude had the nerve to yell at me in a condescending tone "excuse me you HAVE to pay for that". Lol excuse me? Maybe if you were doing your job and paying attention you would have known that I DID pay for it. Why would I be dumb enough to walk out of a store that has my information and my face being recorded by 100 cameras in here? Overall, wasn't the best experience. You guys need a new security guard because the one you have just sits on his ass on his phone accusing paying customers of stealing. read more
