I love this store & love that it's very close to my home. I go there in person to shop & also order groceries & other items on-line. Almost all the employees are very nice. The manager is very kind & nice as well. Friendly people work here. 1 was rude but I did not allow that to keep me from being a customer here. The store is very clean, bright & neat. I am happy for the new setup inside. It makes shopping easy. They do have clearance items on the side. Also on the regular shelves of the store. Delivery is good but the last time not so good. A pleasant place to shop & I don't need to buy 10 of the same items to get the deal. I am so tired of other stores offering a sale where you have to clip coupons or buy numerous items to get any kind of discount. The lines are pretty fast but despite my hubby & I telling them to not over pack the bags, they seem to over pack too heavy. Best place for groceries if you want it cheaper than other places as it's a great place to shop at

The soap that I wanted to use for my daughter was available for delivery by Amazon in about five days, or I could pick it up at Amazon Fresh the following day. So I chose the pickup option and my mom and I headed over to the store. But I'm from a small city in Oregon and that's where my mom lives, so she'd never seen something like an Amazon Fresh/Amazon Go store before. She works in a grocery store herself and given the novelty of being able to walk in and out without paying in a traditional way we had to wander in so she could take a look and report to her coworkers. I actually realized when I was walking around that this would be a good way for me to grocery shop without having to interact with others. I'd visited the Amazon Go store in Ogilvie several years ago, pre-pandemic, but I hadn't realized that there were more stores that had popped up (apparently besides the Norridge location there's also one in the Niles area). This one was much more extensive than the one at the Metra station, though; the size of a typical grocery. They have produce, a hot/prepared food section, and basically anything you'd expect to see in a grocery store. I saw some things that I haven't been able to find at Jewel or Mariano's, and I found a few items that I hadn't seen before. However, they don't have quite the selection of a traditional grocery. When you walk into the store, you have the option to do the cash-free shopping or traditional shopping. If you choose to do grab and go, you need to open your Amazon app to get a QR code to enter the store so they can charge you as you shop. I assume you can put things back if you pick them up, but the thing I remember from when I visited Amazon Go the first time is that you NEVER pick up items for other shoppers because it will charge your account, not theirs. If on the other hand you opt for traditional grocery you'll go through a different turnstile-type entrance to get into the store. When I was leaving, I was glad that I did choose to use the grab and go because there was a line of four or five people at the checkout station but Mom and I were able to simply walk out, since we'd been bagging items as we shopped and I had scanned my QR. I don't know if I'd go out of my way to shop here; driving 25 minutes or so to Norridge or Niles specifically for this is not really appealing. However, if I was near one of them I might make a stop here. I was here on a Sunday around noon and it was pretty dead, but I don't know if that's typical or was a fluke--or if this is still new to the area and they haven't really drawn their customers yet. read more

It has been a good run and we've had a good time, but this store is closing Sunday, February 1. (2026) We knew which items were cheaper here than at other stores so it was always worth the short trip to shop here. I love going to Amazon Fresh. Love the freshness of the food, the good prices. And the friendliness of the staff. My major complaint. I went Sunday 2 hours before closing, and when paying the salad bar, an employee was dumping food into garbage containers. How, disgusting. With homeless shelters in the area, with a retirement community 2 blks away, how can we throw away GOOD FOOD. Here is a novel idea, why not lower the price at the salad bar from $7.99 to $3.99 2 hours before closing. I look at Amazon at being a social conscious corporation. This needs improvement read more

Hey, I would like to say that I enjoyed the experience of the store in the neighborhood since the place is very clean and all of the meat and seafood are fresh and very tasty. It's much cleaner than Osco-Jewel and other stores that are older. The pricing for items are fair or on par as compared to the local stores. It is interesting to see the pricing on each fruit purchase which bring concern when I go to other stores they weigh fruit by per pound. It makes me think of what I actually pay for each item in regular stores. We have gone there several time to buy a few things and hope more people will go there to support it. We will continue to visit and buy there nice selection of frozen foods and more. It is awful weird to need to have an app to get into the store and so we just do that. The average older person who be stuck and not know what to do upon entering the store. Some of the consumer goods on everyday stuff is really good on a some items. The store is nice but way overpriced. The service was not as good as I expected it to be.

I was expecting another Whole Foods but this is anything but. Instead you'll find a large selection of products at affordable prices. Some prices are average, but if you pay attention you'll find some incredible discounts on some items. This almost seems to exist more for online shopping. You'll find more pickers fulfilling orders than you will stockers or cashiers. There are even more pickers than shoppers, so you won't have to deal with as many people vying for aisle space. There is even a hot food bar and a bakery like a standard grocery. I haven't been inside the enclosed booze section yet but I assume it's pretty much like the rest of the store, with decent prices and decent selection. We're old folks and suspicious of new technology so we refuse to try the Walk-Out shopping or whatever it is. I'm still not used to swiping the chip instead of inserting the credit card. read more

I have written several reviews on different Amazon Fresh locations in Chicagoland. The Norridge location is quite close to our house and I am there getting groceries often enough, especially when I receive coupons in the emails. I understand that a number of individuals would have something to say about their prices, stock level, and lack of variety. I can see the point. However, as a mom who may want to complete grocery shopping with my toddler son, using "Amazon Fresh" as my go-to is very convenient. I'm a prime member, so things get way easier than those who choose traditional shopping. Honestly, I don't see the reason if you still need to go through a cashier lane for checkout when shopping at Amazon Fresh. With that being said, I would recommend going somewhere else for groceries because you aren't going to fully experience the convenience factors that Amazon Fresh can provide. Produces and meats have nice presentations and are quite fresh for the most part. I get random discounts here and there for some items. If I browse the "in-store discount" on my app prior to my trip, I would know what items would get prime discounts. Nowadays they have a new technology on using the palm for checking in. I haven't checked it out, but I have my phone out constantly and it's not difficult to locate the in-store for scanning in. I recently brought my mom for grocery shopping, along with my son and my partner. She liked how wide each aisle was and didn't feel congested. My son seemed to enjoy his time when mama had to do run her errands. No crying babies= happy mommies! The prepared food department is worth to take a second look if you are looking for something to eat immediately. I have even seen travellers getting the pizza before hopping on the planes since the O'Hare International Airport is very close by. Anyways, many of us think Amazon infiltrates our daily lives in little bit much. Sure, I do agree. Nevertheless, sometimes we give a new thing a try and it doesn't hurt to make your own judgement once you have experienced it. The store doesn't seem to get a lot of business which is fine by me because I like to shop peacefully, from what I can tell it's clean and some of the employees are helpful. Walkout Shopping turned out to be a major problem and I will never use it again. It scanned other people's groceries onto my order and I was charged an extra $27! It looks like the scanner has a glitch where it is picking up UPC codes from items that are not in your cart but are in someone else's standing nearby. My mother paid in the cashier line for her groceries with her credit card while I decided on Walkout Shopping. My Walkout Shopping receipt gets emailed to me and took over 4 hours to arrive, when I checked it I saw the extra groceries on there. Two items were my mother's who had been in the line near the Walkout Shopping exit, and two more items must have belonged to the couple in front of her. Basically the store got paid twice for my mother's items, once on her credit card and again on my credit card. The flaw in the system needs to be fixed or Walkout Shopping needs to be taken out. What if a customer doesn't look at the email receipt and end up paying for other people's food? You call Amazon and end up with the worst headache you ever had, at least I did. One agent lied and said she was refunding via instant credit but never did, the second agent was nearly as useless, but the third agent who was actually from Amazon Fresh was a little better. read more

Excellent customer service by the team members, and very helpful navigating and explaining the checkout process. It was their first store opening, and the store was well stock and plenty of shopping carts for customers to use. They have plenty of organic foods, can goods, fresh vegetables, milk, cheese, seafood, meats, and plenty more. Will definitely be back to try the hot food department. I would rate this store with less than a 1 star. I have never stepped foot in this establishment or even been to the city of Chicago. I only know of this store because apparently, they are running very shady practices. My entire allotment of food stamps was used at this location within seconds. I don't understand how that could be possible since I live in Birmingham, AL and my card is still in possession. I have tried to reach out to the business to see if they answer how this could be possible but I continue to be placed on hold and finally hung up on. I would love to know how stolen stamps are being used in another at this store. read more

It is newly opened store and it is half empty either they sold out everything or they just kiss things.. idk.. it is huge, spacious place and probably will have different options to choose from but not just yet.. i was expecting more organic and grass fed options.. meat in the meat section didn't look quite fresh to be very honest, since they own Whole food I was expecting to see more options there.. stuff looked like they don't what they need to do bc most of them just walk around. Some of them were out trying to explain people how easy check out is working. I had a feeling that younger people would be more interested in Amazon self check out options.. Just walk out simply doesn't work. And generally there is a long line, despite the fact that there's rarely more than a dozen people shopping g in the store. Also stay away from the sandwiches, sushi, and hot bar. It's the sushi looks like it saw better days last week. Most items in the hot bar have congealed. The sandwiches have been out so long the meat loos like cardboard. Many of the shelves are bare and stocking of items is extremely inconsistent. Finally check expiry dates on everything. They must be burning money to keep this place open. read more

This store started out well, then progressively went down hill from their grand opening. The produce here consistently looks sad. Their hot bar always looks terrible and unkept. The store as a whole just feels derelict and depressing. I wonder how long they'll last since it's mostly empty every time I'm in there. read more

I was excited to try the new Amazon Fresh store. I loved the idea of not having to wait in line. First impression was the produce section wasn't great. A lot of the lettuce was wilted. The red peppers were slightly mushy. I had to throw both out the day after buying them. The 15 cents bananas seems to be a regular deal. After leaving I expected to be able to see my receipt right away on my phone to check for errors. After waiting a couple hours I called the store directly and I'm pretty sure I was connected to someone in India. I finally got the receipt about 6 hours later. That's not OK with me. I want to be able to check the receipt before leaving the parking lot. read more

Tried it. I'm over it. For how slow the store is I don't think the fresh meat sells quickly due to the overabundance of meat. The hot bar is usually pretty crusty looking. It seems they never add fresh food to the trays. Also this wasn't the first time where they've been out of small and medium containers for the bar food, forcing you to pay $13 for the large. Not cool, as the food goes by container size and I don't think most people realize that. I don't think the community is into the whole walking in and out deal since most ppl pay and wait in line from what I've noticed. I give them another year or two before they get bought out. I think the community would've been much better off with a Tony's, Home Depot, or Costco in place of this. Amazon fresh would be more ideal in an area with a younger crowd, such as Logan square or Wicker Park. Also, if you use the app and walk out be aware that the receipt does not show up in the Amazon app until 30 minutes later. It recently charged me for an item that I didn't purchase. I am dissatisfied again. What sense does it make to take down the food bar at 6 PM when people are looking for a place to eat at dinner time. There was a lady to greet us at the door and she was very rude, we asked her if the food bar was open so we didn't have to go back and scan our code. She rudely pointed to the door that we didn't have to scan for. I am very disappointed in this amazon fresh, it is the second time I have had had to write a review on this place. This amazon fresh was very crowded and there was only one register open when there was a lady sitting in the front doing nothing. It dreads me to go back to this amazon fresh for my quick food needs.
