Bought this carton of raspberries yesterday...for 5 freaking dollars...and opened them today to find them full of mold. Overpriced and poor quality. Yes they are organic but $5 for a tiny carton is insane...especially when you can't even eat any of it. I was excited to hear they started carrying some organic produce because this place is close but I'll keep shopping elsewhere.

Great new find with attached garage. I usually hit a the one on North which 1/4 of this size. Super clean market. Will definitely shop at this one more. Able to do all grocery shopping for the week. They have everything. Good clean store. Management is friendly and able to handle my price adjustment. Plus that you can enjoy right in the store: Gelato, Soup, Tacos, PR food, Salad Bar, Fresh Squeeze Juice. Con: Only negative is mainstream products are slightly more than latin based products. Large ethnic food section, not just latin based. Amazed at all the produce and dry goods available.

This is a really big Fresh market, much bigger than regular Cermak. It is nice and clean, the prices are average, the parking lot a bit small for such a big store.

Cermak Fresh Market is a great addition to the Logan Square neighborhood. It definitely brings a much needed grocery store to the area that doesn't have the Walmart/Target feel. Finally, a grocery store that focuses on food. An added bonus here is that multiple nationalities are represented in the items sold. Aside from the given American food ingredients, that Taco Tuesday dream can be a reality as Mexican food items are represented, along with the wonderful world of Asian foods and Jamaican food items. They also have a wonderful section containing cooked meals for those lazy nights when you don't feel like cooking dinner. Oh and their bakery section!! Everything looks amazing from their enormous donuts, mini cakes, cupcakes, etc. They also have plenty of parking available, one right outside the store, and if that gets filled up, they have their own multi level parking garage. They don't have much of a liquor section as it only contains wines, but having a Binny's right across the street definitely helps out!

My husband and I are downright obsessed with this grocery store, and we've happily added it to our weekly rotation along with Target and Whole Foods. So what does Cermak Fresh Market add to the mix? AMAZING produce with amazing prices. My first time here, I felt like a kid in a candy store. They have every fruit and vegetable imaginable, and all in the brightest colors on eye-popping displays. We found tomatillos, jicama, bean sprouts and all kinds of other hard-to-find produce. Lemons and limes are frequently 10/$1 compared to the $1/each prices elsewhere. And all around in the produce section, prices still have me shouting to my husband, "is this real?!" Another great thing about this store: the Mexican food items. I've never seen a bigger display of Supremo products, and same with all the other Mexican dairy varieties, from the sour cream to the cheese. Looking for a particular flavor of Jarritos? I bet they have it here. And the candy aisle takes my husband straight back to his childhood! But warning: this isn't the place to shop for other grocery items. Bread and pantry items are consistently double the price of my normal grocery stores (Whole Foods included!) and El Milagro tortillas were 4x the prices I usually pay at Target. That produce though? It'll keep us coming back here until the end of time.

They overcharge you for items not bought, everything is old and moldy, along with a punch of rudeness. Report them to the BBB.

When it first opened, it was great to see how bright and clean it was and to see all of the incredible stacked foods and items. However, over the years it's definitely been worn down a little bit and could use a new refresh. What has been good is that they really expanded some of the seating area as well as the seafood city Grill area and the food offerings. However even this is slightly inconsistent as far as what's available when it's open, etc. It's also great that this particular location also is able to build out some of the other additional vendors like the bakery by Valerio. Again, though, I wish there was a little bit more consistency and organization throughout. Parking lot is has been quite ample except during peak times. I really wish they would open one in the suburbs as well. The only major disappointing thing was I used to carry the best Chicharron by Saint Michaels and then they absolutely abused and price gouged the bags. And eventually they stopped carrying it. I however, have gone directly to the stores to purchase.

The lobster roll was mostly bread and very little lobster. The lobster in it was very small, stringy pieces and nothing like the large chunks in their own Instagram images. I would be willing to pay more for a better sandwich with more (and better) lobster. It wasn't premium lobster in look or taste to be honest. This sandwich, in its current form, is a hard pass. Mussels were okay. A few that didn't open, but that's to be expected. I'm not sure how fresh they were since they had a bit of a fishier scent. They give you a head of garlic, a lemon, a baguette and a tub of compound butter. It's great in theory, but the butter was tasteless and I could just as easily used my own butter and other ingredients. The customer service was okay. We called ahead to make sure they had all of the elements of the mussels as part of the package and the person ringing me up still had no idea what I was talking about. In the end she made sure everything was there after I brought it up so it was fine. One other issue I had was that they just put the mussel mesh bag in my bag and they leaked mussel juice/water over everything else in the bag. Two of those things were tinned fish gifts for someone else and the cardboard was soaked in fishy smelling liquid. I know there is a new owner and I really hope he does the things he needs to improve and make this place worth it. Right now I can't see going back when there are places like Boston Fish Market that get it right.

After reviewing Google, we found out they have sashimi platter deals Wednesdays and Fridays for just $30. Given that sushi prices in Chicago are at a premium, we opted to go for this deal and make our own sushi at home. It was awesome: salmon, tuna, and around three other types of fish served on top of julienned radish. They gave pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce as well but only one of each. (I would pick up more in store, along with nori and rice vinegar if you want to make rolls). I imagine using this fish for a poke bowl would be fantastic. The platters are a first come first serve item, so be aware of this should you want to get it like we did. We honestly didn't have any issues purchasing on a Friday.

This Tony's Fresh Market location just happened to be one of the nearest to my neighborhood located on the west-side of Chicago. As for this visit, I had no issues whatsoever finding a parking spot for my vehicle. I have to admit, at first, I did not think I would find a spot until I drove to the backside of Tony's where I found a number of open spots available. Inside, the atmosphere felt very relaxed at this Tony's with a neighborhood grocery store vibe. Other than that, I must say that it was a break shopping here versus a Jewel-Osco, Pete's Fresh Market, or Mariano's. Now along with the items shelved being organized, the market is acceptably clean, and the aisles have plenty of maneuvering space in-between. I particularly searched for breakfast foods in hopes that I could find something on the lines of a box of Jimmy Dean - Croissant Egg & Cheese, but I could not. The items I took a liking to and ended up purchasing were a box of Gardein Ultimate Plant-Based Be'f & Broccoli, Lean Cuisine Cheese Ravioli, Ore-Ida Tater Tots, and a box of Frosted Grape Pop Tarts which I had never encountered before, ever! The Ore-Ida Tater Tots were a must purchase for me because as of late, I have been addicted to cooking tater tots in my air fryer as a late evening snack! I know, I know it is so bad eating tater tots late in the evening, but gosh, they are so darn good! For the most part, I enjoyed shopping at Tony's Fresh Market, but I just cannot see myself shopping here regularly due to it being out of my way. Return visits for me depend on whatever cash back offers Upside puts out involving grocery purchases. For my readers, I will leave you with this joke since I likely lost half of you with my review. I consistently experience mushy fruits and avocado that is going bad internally. I don't think they practice good storage technique. The prices are also higher than before the change in ownership and the competition. For example they sell regular and organic bananas for 79 cents and 99 cents a pound. Whole Foods sells for 69 cents and 89 cents. I'll go to Tony's in a pinch if I desperately need something because it is walking distance but usually prefer to drive elsewhere where I get better quality for the same or slightly better price.
