Amazon Fresh, in the Northridge/Porter Ranch area is another of Jeff Bezoz's triumphs to provide a diverse multitude of services. The ease of going in and out, for anything you desire (if they have it), is commendable. Gone are the days of high prices, where fruits and vegetables are concerned. Meats are another story. Let us not go there. I don't know if you are aware, but a while back there was an extensive internet evaluation of potato chips, by experts, and the product from Amazon Fresh (which was hard to get due to the high demand), was voted #1. So this place has its virtues. This time, I was interested in their freshly made pizza. The grilled vegetables selection, was made fresh for me in about 10 minutes. It was huge, must have been an Xtra Large, for only $8.99. I had the choice to get it sliced into 8 or 12 pieces, I chose the latter. The pizza has a thin crust (my favorite), a no-stingy distribution of vegetables and an absence of an overdose of cheese. Actually, just the way I like it, when I am ready to forget about calories, the possibility of weight gain, and guilt. My to go pizza was prepared by Rosa, who also provided high class, behind the counter customer service. And yes, the pizza was still flavorful with taste and texture on the day of pick up and both one and two days later. read more

I am saddened to announce that as of March 13, 2026, Amazon Fresh has shuttered its doors permanently :( As mentioned in my previous review, this store wasn't perfect and had room for a lot of improvement, but it was a godsend for a quick stop, definitely beating the neighborhood liquor store or the 7-11 by a long mile for pricing and selection and ambiance, and beating Ralphs & Whole Foods on the price and the crowds. Apparently Amazon has decided that this retail business model is not profitable enough and they want to focus on grocery deliveries (where you have to pay a delivery fee or buy a monthly subscription) and to expand their Whole Foods presence. All Amazon Fresh stores are now permanently closed and some will be converted to Whole Foods. Except in Porter Ranch we already have a Whole Foods about a mile down the street at Rinaldi and Porter Ranch Drive... I hope this Amazon Fresh location does not become an abandoned haunted house (store). read more

This Amazon Fresh is very convenient. I make my Amazon returns here and pick up groceries while I'm at it. The returns process is quick. They scan the return code, slap a label onto the item, and done! It's not a huge grocery store but it has the basic items plus ready to eat items. Each day of the week has a different meal deal. For check out, there 3 options. The traditional cashier, self check out, and the one where things are scanned in the cart with instant check out. Parking is crowded, but there's always a spot if you're willing to park further out. read more

Been coming here for years normally after work arriving a little after 9PM during the week. The evening is the best time to go. No lines for Amazon returns or Amazon Fresh Grocery pick ups at time. I usually just do all this in the store rather than to wait in my car but the couple times I did it from my car it was fast. If you go like on the weekends or between 2 PM-7PM, the place is much busier (the place though isn't as busy as the one in Woodland Hills which when I've been there, was busy at all hours). I don't really shop in the store that often unless I need something last minute but I find their rates are often around the same price as Walmart believe it or not. Their pizza is gross. Don't be tempted by the deal that they have for it. Their sushi isn't bad. The people working there overall seem to range from happy and helpful to people who make zero eye contact with you and don't want to engage at all (don't really care but if you want engaged employees, this isn't the store for you). Their online prices vary from their in store prices for many items. I find that a bit strange and inconsistent. Parking lot is bad because there's so many businesses in a small shopping center. read more

Another fail for Amazon fresh, I don't know why I keep coming here. As usual they lower people in with advertised items they have no intention of actually caring for more than a day even though it's advertised for a week. This weeks example the advertised prime rib roast for about $7 or $8 a pound I've been in four times now not in stock. Was told two days ago that it would definitely be here on Tuesday. Well here I am Tuesday complete waste of time this place is a joke do not think for a second that they will have anything that they advertise that is a decent price. read more

Amazon Fresh has changed a lot since they first opened. I don't visit as frequently as I did in past bc there's many other competitors with valued offerings. Lately, Amazon has spectacular weekly promos & sales! They def do run out of sales items fast, so it can be a hit or miss depending on your timing (best to go before end of week).. I also just discovered you can get rain checks for their advertised promos, HUGE PLUS!!! Def take advantage. Their Amazon returns desk (for online purchases) is very convenient and helpful. Always a pleasant experience from entire staff at this location. Their pizza by the slice is delicious, fresh, and perfect on the go at only $1.99/slice, esp during inflationary times, LoL. I miss their fresh seafood counter bc they had wonderful selection & sales. And their fresh produce has high volume of turnover, which means demand is high.. I appreciate their fresh salsa selections, curated cheese department, and finally tried their Take & Bake pizza for the very first time. It's fun to elevate & experiment w/your Take & Bake by adding your own specialty & fresh toppings, seasonings, or sauces. Many of the staple items are pricey, as prices continue creeping up on groceries. So.. the Prime deals are wonderful to stack, along with your added savings & store coupons. The store is only crowded with foot traffic on the crazy Prime Day sales, or otherwise it's quite spacious with mostly online orders being scanned by their employees. When they added self check out, it improved the customer experience. I def wasn't interested to use their scanner shopping carts. I literally was buying groceries randomly at this location. I wanted to try it out and there was someone named Christian standing in the front by the self check out not even helping anybody just gossiping with some girl not even helping me when I asked him to open the case to get the Hennessy bottle because it's locked up And then when I checked out, he told me that he would tell someone and it would be at the register and he did not tell anybody and then I had to wait another 10 minutes for him to tell someone on the walkie-talkie and then he just went back to talking to that girl again in the front not helping anybody so I hope you guys hire better people because this is a terrible experience read more

This store charges 10% sales tax on milk. I've never seen any store charging taxes for milk. Who knows what other food things Amazon fresh is charging inappropriate/illegal taxes to. And there's never anybody answering the phone at their store . read more

8/27/25 8ish pm This store is a block away from us, it was evening and we needed eggs for the morning. Earlier that day I received the weekly email advertising "New savings now live at Amazon Fresh". At the register an item did not ring up at the advertised price. A manager was called. They didn't introduce themself (long dark hair, injection altered face, clubbing worthy makeup). No pleasantries, blank expression and they were on their phone the entire time. It wasn't to check prices as I could see the screen. "We don't match online prices." I explain that the weekly email links to the site for savings to be found "live at Amazon Fresh". They blankly repeat themself. I asked if I was boring them (clearly I was), emptied my shopping bag and wished them a good evening. All exceedingly calm (to avoid their deflecting with predictable white lady slander). I shouldn't have been shopping there. The staff now match the ethos. Good to know. I have limited my purchases from this and affiliated businesses thanks to their relationship with the orange man. I only buy from them when there's nowhere else to get an item or it's priced considerably lower than everyplace else. Now I won't go at all. Thanks for the reminder. read more

Can't believe my bf and I haven't checked this place out till yesterday! We always thought you had to have an Amazon account or something to be able to shop here but turns out you didn't! We only came by because I had to make an Amazon return that was gifted to me and unfortunately they sent me the wrong item. This place has a drop off inside so while we were there, we took a look around and they actually had a lot of cool and unique stuff! They had a food section like Whole Foods does where you just pick whatever you want and box it up. Their sushi selection actually looked really good compared to most groceries. The older woman cashier who checked our items out, told us we needed to come shop more often because we were super lost and new to everything LOL but in a nice way. They also have nice prices and we really only got some poptarts and tried the new Futuristic Coca-Cola since we were unsure of what we could buy, if anything. Definitely coming back! Very upset with this Amazon fresh. I ordered their delivery at least twice a week and for the last two months they have been out of V-8 juice. I don't know what it is about the store, but they tend to run out of things and just never restock them. How can you be out of V8juice? It's the most popular vegetable juice in the United States. I am an Amazon Prime member. I had several experiences shopping at Amazon Fresh Rinaldi location, and unfortunately, I have to say the service has been quite disappointing. The quality of fruits and vegetables is terrible. On multiple occasions, while ordering via online delivery I received mushy, overripe avocados, bananas, peaches, pears, and tomatoes, etc. It's evident that the shoppers are not selecting quality produce. If they wouldn't pick these items for themselves, why should customers have to accept them? Freshness and quality is very bad. The price gouging for online shoppers is unacceptable. I noticed concerning price discrepancies. Since the last week my family has been ordering cherries through Amazon Fresh online for $6.99 per pound, only to find the same cherries inside the store are priced $3.99 per pound or even cheaper in bags. Why is there a double price for online shoppers, not mentioning the Prime Members? The cleanliness of the store needs significant improvement. The refrigerators appeared dirty, with remnants of old products and an unpleasant rotten smell that was hard to ignore. Given that cleanliness is ignored for a grocery store, it raises concerns about their overall hygiene standards. My experiences with Amazon Fresh at Rinaldi location have been far from satisfactory. I am only reviewing their pizzas. Their pizzas are underrated. I order ahead online and then pick up. There were times in the past where this option wasn't available but I think they have fixed it now. Just picked up another supreme and cheese today. All their pizzas are 9.99, thin crust and they are huge. I personally prefer their pizza over Costco. Check them out! read more

All of the food here, especially in the produce section is indeed fresh, most of the time. I've never had a problem with bad customer service, if there is a problem, everyone working is knowledgeable enough to answer. The whole store has an easy layout and is always clean. The only issue is a hit or miss depending on the day you go, they might be very low on stock or just restocked. read more

New to the area. LOVE the Porter Ranch area. Excited to have an Amazon Fresh nearby. They advertised Prime Rib Roast for $6.99/lb Christmas week! Best deal around! I went there twice that week. None in stock either day. Two days before Christmas a woman there told me they were out and they weren't getting any more on stock for the sale. This review is for the food section. Amazons pizza used to be one of the best tasting pizzas with the best price. However, now, yes the price is still good but the pizza isn't. And the people who work in the kitchen are rude, don't pay attention to you, only talk to each other ignoring customers, constantly leaning over the food while touching everything and then the food again. I was really disappointed with an employee / client issue that I saw today . A client was in line and needed help with the app. The cashier was very dismissive and didn't help him. She took me and one other client before him while he struggled to find a way to use the app all on his own . He waited a really long Time before the cashier went to find the manager. It was really disappointing to see how people who struggle with technology are easily dismissed in an Amazon store. The manager did pop in but also didn't help. He popped in then immediately left. This really hurts to write this review as I really love Amazon, I am a Prime member and use them all the time, as well as Whole Foods from Amazon. But with the Amazon Fresh stores Amazon is really missing the mark. The stores are very nice and clean, ask Alexa's on the wall, love the fact you can scan your Prime app and shop and walk out, amazing technology. But once you get past that, the rest is a poor shopping experience. The items in the stores seem to me to be over priced compared to most other grocery stores that are all around the area. Even the basics, no reason for them to be priced that high when there are many other options to get the same items for much, much less. The staff is not very helpful, ask questions and a deer in the headlights look or a ridiculous answer. They do have very good sale prices typically week to week, but they do not manage their inventory as anything on sale is sold out right away and the answer if they will have more is I hope so or later tonight, etc. Terrible. If you see a sale, good luck, probably already sold out, don't waste your time. I went there to buy some Ribeye's they had on sale, admittedly the sale was excellent, $4.00 per pound. Should have known better to fall for it, went there at 9 am the first day of the sale, sold out of course, so I asked, they said they would have more tomorrow and would stock it that night. Great, worth the wait, I would try the next day. In my opinion, Ribeye's are the only way to go when grilling or eating them in general, so much flavor, so tender, excellent, other cuts don't compare. I digress, I decide, OK they open at 7 am I am going to go early and grab some Ribeye's and all will be right with the world, being they are typically $16 per pound, it was worth the effort. I show up before 7, 1 other couple is there and then a few more come behind me, we all are waiting for the doors to open. 7 am hits, apparently I am not the only one with this idea as we all head to the Ribeye section, get there and guess what, no Ribeye's, of course. We ask the butcher, she proceeds to tell us that the people that were just here took them all. "Hello" we are the first people in the store, no one else here before us. Ridiculous. She then goes to the back and comes back with 5 Ribeye's and says that is all they have, mind you second day into a week's long sale. Needless to say, I walked away and let the others fight over the handful they had, not worth the headache. I will not be going to Amazon Fresh again, if I do shame on me for not learning my lesson. Visited for the first time last week. I left pretty impressed. You'll need the Amazon app or Whole Foods app with the QR code installed on your phone when you check out and then it will charge your charge card automatically. I think you have to be an Amazon Prime member, not sure, but who isn't? Selection and quality of food, prices, ease of purchase, technology, location, hot food available. This innovative grocery store is exactly what I would expect from Amazon. Everything was well-organized and their carts were smart. The carts have a screen that logs into your Amazon account. With the exception of produce, and packaged goods or meats gets weighed and added to your bill simply by placing the item in the cart. It also detects when you remove an item. These carts are meant for light shopping. I enjoyed that all you have to do is walked towards the lane with the big arrow and it automatically charges your card on file with your Amazon account. Let me start by saying that I definitely have a shopping addiction problem with Amazon because they make things easy and you can find what you want and have it sent to your house in a matter of days. So, I'm a fan of Amazon, but not a fan of this concept and I think they should have worked on continuing to enhance the Whole Foods brands. The store had literally more Amazon employees than people shopping, which made it completely overcrowded in a time when you are supposed to have limited numbers in the stores. Each aisle had at least one if not three or more depending on what they were pulling for delivery. The electronic cart is unique but other than that the prices at even a Ralphs were just as reasonable. However, with too many employees and not really anything that made this store stand out as being worth my hard-earned money I am not going to recommend it was okay, but not great. read more

Dear Hubby is the grocery shopping God in our family. Oh how he quietly rolls his eyes when I compare California supermarkets to Wegmans in Upstate New York. Few come close to comparing with the equivalent of a Hallmark movie charming-hug-of-a-market feeling that I experienced at various Wegmans. Many SoCal grocery stores feel bland and uninspired to me. Enter Amazon Fresh into the fray of food shopping. Prepare for an attempt to high-tech one's way through the experience. Apparently, one major hook is smart-carts that keep track of what's placed in them. I didn't get the whole propaganda explanation of how it works, and I'm not sure I'll rush back to figure it out. My initial impressions were based on the interactions with the staff, plus the look of the place, and the merchandise offered. Staff=plentiful and friendly. Look=cold (cement floors and lots of gray in the minimalistic decor). Merchandise=many prepared options, such as freshly made soups, ready to go, plus the normal choices. The bakery section sported some variety not seen at most Ralphs / Vons / Albertsons. Not as fancy or costly as Gelsons / Bristol Farms. That would be one area I'd consider visiting again when in the area. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't rush back, as the Euro-chic aesthetic of the cavernous space isn't my preferred vibe. For my preference, it could use an HGTV make-over with some warmth added. DH thought the prices were just okay, and despite the fancy smart-carts, didn't really see the value of their hook. Also, being an Amazon Prime member doesn't do you any favors at Amazon Fresh. Go figure! read more

It's a mix bag of good deals on certain items while other stuff is definitely on the pricier side. Just gotta know what to buy. I thought it was cool that they had the scanner cart where every item you drop in is weighed/scanned. However, I think the cart is too small. Barely fits 2 small paper bags. Also, keep in mind you need to have your Amazon shopping app with account ready to go so that once you're in the market, just need to scan your QR code with the cart's camera next to the touch screen. You'll automatically be charged at the end of the visit. I checked out the salads + salsa/guac section and wasn't impressed. Some of the items didn't look fresh and were in slightly damaged packages. At least the rest of the grocery was pretty cool. The meat/seafood sections were awesome with the various selections and marinades they put them in. Gotta try those next time. The pizzas were only like $9 for a large! $1.75 for a slice! They were decent. I made a mistake and got something that had been sitting out for awhile. But the pesto chicken was good. Shoulda gotten the fresh cheese or pepperoni pizzas since they just came out of the oven. They have amazon gift items and electronics in a small area by the deli. A quick stop in to check out this new store. I arrived about 1 hour before closing and I felt like I had the place to myself. A very comfortable shopping experience started with watching several employees cleaning everything the customers may touch. The store felt spacious. It had a beautiful layout with lots of products but funny enough the shelves weren't packed deep like other markets. They had many prepared items which brought back memories of fresh n easy. Based on selection, this would be a store I stop at for certain "filler" items. Prices were great and parking was easy. read more

I love Amazon Fresh! There is a lot of unique selections I usually cannot find in regular grocery stores. This poke bowl is amazing and there is a lot of items that are cheaper than reg stores. Especially with inflation going on. The store is very neat, the atmosphere, which I noticed, is really quiet. Which is what I enjoyed. Just me and my shopping, quiet. The only downside is the lines. There is a considerably (and, not going to lie, understandably) gap in importance for fulfillment and cashiering. The wait in line was long, but does not downgrade the good experience I had. I think it furthermore encourages the use of the grab and walkout cart feature. Which I will aim to try next. read more

Fun shopping experience! I received a coupon for this newly opened grocery store a few weeks ago but hadn't able to visit until last night (a Friday) due to lines outside. Yesterday, probably because it was the day after Thanksgiving, it was pretty empty and I found a spot right in front of the door. Here's what I liked: -It's located in an outdoor strip mall with a few other businesses and a somewhat large parking lot. -The store is new, clean, and very modern with Amazon conveniences -3 different shopping carts (small, standard, and self checkout (contactless) were available Hand sanitizer was located through the store -They had a nice gift area with electronics (tablets, Kindles, Echos), books, etc. available for sale -Ready made food was available at a service counter -Prepackaged sushi was available in several assortments -Delivery is available -Staff was friendly and helpful -The produce appeared fresh -Alexa assistant stands were available -Prices were reasonable The only thing I didn't like was that a lot of items were out of stock.
