Never return any items at the return center at Amazon Fresh. They will lose your returns and then Amazon will refuse to refund you saying you didn't return it asking you to return in order to get a refund. Then they tell you they will refund you 30 days after Amazon receives your return. How will they If they have lost your return at the return center. Amazon store is ok. Very Overpriced and they don't have most of the items on your Amazon fresh delivery list. The return center is also not friendly at all. And again THEY WILL LOSE YOUR RETURNS. read more

So admittedly I've only used Amazon fresh pickup once. I had a promo code, so I thought I'd give it a try. Both my mom and I placed orders, and everything went fine. We both got texts that our curbside orders were ready for pickup, so we drove to Northridge from Santa Clarita and waited around 13 minutes. The associate came out, verified both our names, and loaded bags. Now, here is where it's partially my fault. I 100% should have verified the orders - but I didn't. We got home and only my mom's order was in the car. So what should have been a bit of savings on groceries ended up costing me since I drive back and forth for nothing. Fun shopping experience! I received a coupon for this newly opened grocery store a few weeks ago but hadn't able to visit until last night (a Friday) due to lines outside. Yesterday, probably because it was the day after Thanksgiving, it was pretty empty and I found a spot right in front of the door. Here's what I liked: -It's located in an outdoor strip mall with a few other businesses and a somewhat large parking lot. -The store is new, clean, and very modern with Amazon conveniences -3 different shopping carts (small, standard, and self checkout (contactless) were available Hand sanitizer was located through the store -They had a nice gift area with electronics (tablets, Kindles, Echos), books, etc. available for sale -Ready made food was available at a service counter -Prepackaged sushi was available in several assortments -Delivery is available -Staff was friendly and helpful -The produce appeared fresh -Alexa assistant stands were available -Prices were reasonable The only thing I didn't like was that a lot of items were out of stock. This store is SO annoying. I have tried it on and off many times and I usually leave somewhat exasperated. Here is why: 1. There are employees EVERYWHERE, but almost nobody (1 kid could) can answer any questions with a smile. Snark is free and flowing at this store. 2. They advertise items as on sale (boneless, skinless chicken breast). I asked for a rain check (because they were 'out'). "Manager" Kimberly Reyes (who could not have cared less), simply said "NO" to the rain check. No kindness, no smile, no "gee I am sorry about that", came from this woman. She told me they are "discontinuing" the item. Really? Amazon will no longer carry BSCB? Somehow I doubt that. She also told me I could not speak to the store manager, JLO...Jennifer. Apparently, those in charge cannot be bothered with the peasants. California has a "bait and switch" law that says a store cannot advertise an item, and then not honor the item and its price. 3. The employees at the front of the store are more interested in their own banter than greeting the customer for checkout. 4. The parking closest to the store is reserved for pick up customers, flex parking (whatever that is), and family parking spaces...so if you are by yourself and actually going into the store, prepare to park out by Rinaldi. There are plenty of handicap spaces, which is great. I have tried to like this store. But I am done. I went today for my first time to shop for groceries. I squatted down to look over the different salts on the lower shelf. A cart, operated by an employee, hit me and knocked me over. I understand it was an accident but I have a permanent back injury and now I'm home icing my back. The worker claimed they hit me bc I was in their blind spot. This store is clearly not a safe place to shop in person when you have multiple workers rolling heavy carts around to gather food deliveries all day long. The workers looked over worked and drained. If you have little ones then do NOT take them bc these workers are moving quick and may not see them. read more

Was a fantastic supermarket, but they recently added self checkouts. That's fine, but when I was here in a long line and they would not open another register, it is pretty irritating. Finally got a chance to shop here and enjoyed my experience. This used to be my neighborhood Whole Foods and became Amazon Fresh a few years ago but I stopped coming to the plaza since I do most of my grocery shopping at Whole Foods. Decided to try this out with the family and we were pleased with our experience. Lots of workers, very clean and well organized! A lot of good selections of different kinds of foods and drinks, including fresh foods and bakery goods. My family and I tried some of the sushi and it was delicious. Better than some grocery stores! Got treated with extreme disrespect today over trying to shop last day of sale. Amazon was out of advertised items. When I asked for rain check Albert gave me 1 for avacado,then i wanted 1 for meat and he was mildly annoyed. Then I pointed to my friend and she needed rains checks. Albert refused! He said," 1 per group"; I told him we were separate households and separate prime memberships, he mumbled something under his breath and gave her 1 for avacados. I told him she needed 1 for the meat and he said,"you're really going to test me"! he was a large imposing guy, i asked him is this the treatment he reserves for brown women;you couldn't possibly treat the white men like this?I walked over to store manager who was busy visiting with another worker the other worker tried to minimize he's behavior when we insisted he was rude really to the point of being threatening he came over and stuck is badge out and said here's my name go ahead and take it down. If my LAPD lead officer who i was giving a hello hug minutes before altercation wasn't in store I would have felt really threatened. Manager should have intervened when she was standing feet away when and he was refusing to issue my friend a rain check.She could hear there was a problem. Bottom line never in my life had such an encounter over a rain check; shouldn't have to get my blood pressure up for a common courtesy!!! We were really excited to try this place but wouldn't go again. The cart robot seemed cool but was really annoying in produce. We finally got our stuff all in and you can't use EBT with the fancy cart so we had to regular checkout anyway. Then they said you can't use EBT and pay for the rest with a card, you can only use cash. The selections sucked, they didn't have basics like sharp cheddar cheese, and some things would be a really good price but then a little thing of dip would be $9.99. It was all over the place. Be careful before you go into this store , there's one employee that I was at the register spending over $100 is very rude & attacks you with attitude , He wouldn't give his name but his African American male has a black nylon hat looking wrapped around his head has a beard & wears a long silver looking chain with blue ripped jeans. I asked for his name but wouldn't give I asked a manager his still didn't help me. This employee needs to be fired by the manager his very unprofessional & rude . I would of looked for the manager to file a complaint but I had a doctors appointment. This way of shopping can totally be the new wave of the future. Mind you, this store would be more for shoppers that are fans of technology, and NOT looking for the traditional way of having employees available and around for help. When I came in, I opted to use one of their, "smart carts." It was a pretty cool experience. As soon as I synced my cart to my amazon account, I was on my way. As soon as you place the item you want in your cart, the multiple sensors around the cart will scan the items barcode, and start adding the item to your total. Your total is available to view on a screen on the cart. If you change your mind on an item, just simply remove it from your cart, and the cart will remove it from your total. When your done shopping, you don't even have to stand in line. You push your cart through the designated lane, and waala, you're done. The total is charged to the credit card you designated on your amazon account. I really also love this store has a great sushi and poke bowl selection. Not to mention the most affordable pizza you can find. I believe a slice is around $1+ and a whole pizza is $8.99. That's even cheaper then Costco's pizza. They also have additional pizza selections other then just cheese and pepperoni. Tips: 1) This is a great way to get in and out of the store if you're shopping for a few items. Absolutely no lines this way. 2) If you are shopping for a lot of groceries, I suggest using their traditional cart. If not, you might have to use 2 or 3 smart carts and that may cause confusion on charging your total purchase. read more

A fast and easy process to come here and return your Amazon item. I stopped by this Amazon Fresh store because it's on my way home from work and I wanted to return my Amazon order ASAP. Finding parking here is easy because it's in a big lot so you won't have any issues. This store has a destinated entrance and exit so pay attention to that. The Amazon return area is on the left side, it's easy to spot out. When I went, I was able to just walk to the front and let them start scanning the barcode. At this place, you don't get a receipt like you'll do if you go to Kohl's. I would come here again to return my Amazon orders since it was easiest process for me. read more

Amazon Fresh is slowly expanding in SoCal offering good prices on a more small selection of staple items. Like the other chains, the prices are basically the same. The selection is more limited. They do have a meat, deli, bakery departments, along with pickup and returns for Amazon orders, same day grocery delivery, Amazon top selling g products, prepared food, pizza and other meals. I did find that the soda selection is much more limited when it comes to flavors. I normally will stop in the store for certain items. I still find the grocery chains to have the selection that I want. read more

My friend gave me my Instagram name, Techmama, because she knows I'm a huge fan of technology and she has a hard time with it! Well, this store is right up my alley. I really didn't know what I was expecting, it's your standard grocery store with comparable prices to other grocery stores. BUT, your cart has 6 camera sensors and you scan your Amazon code before you start. You have to enter codes for produce, but the cart weighs the items!! You shop as you normally would and everything gets scanned while you put them in the paper bags. As you leave, there is a special aisle that ends your shopping session and a receipt is emailed to you! And if you can't find an actual human for help, you can just ask Alexa!! read more

It is better now after a week of opening. We used the Amazon fresh carts which scans your amazon account and when you drop groceries into the cart, it scans and knows what you got. I don't actually like the carts cause they are quite heavy Food bar: there is a hot foods bar where they make fresh sandwich, hot meals, pizza, etc. They sell whole pizzas for about $9. I really enjoyed my shopping experience here. Might make it my new store. Pros: Having a lot of organic and conventional items, and it isn't overpriced like Whole Foods in some aspects. They have different cart sizes which is cool, depending on how much shopping you'll be doing. Their pastries (specifically a glazed donut) is super delicious and a bargain of 89 cents!! The employees are friendly and gracious. Reminds me of Whole Foods, but not as packed with customers. As an avid whole foods shopper, it is kind of organized the same way, so it's easy for me to find things. There is also a decent cheese section which I love. The parking lot is spacious and the store is kept clean. Cons: Something I don't like is the amount of employees (the people who fulfill online grocery orders) do not care about customers, they will legit run you over. Just when I was bragging about this store to my family and friends, this happens: I was on my way home today from Kaiser Porter Ranch to Northridge and decided to stop by Amazon Fresh because it's on my way but I realized I don't have my coupon so I asked the young girl up front if it's ok to get another but she said they ran out so I gave her a quizzical look and said the coupon just started today and you don't have any in-store. She suggested to ask the cashier and so that's what I did and the cashier said to check out with her and she'll credit me the coupon BUT when I was checking out, she wasn't there, maybe she went on break so I went to an available cashier and told him the situation but he wasn't able to honor it and made it sound like I was lying. Shelves have a lot of holes and many items not available. Checker last night (long hair) was so rude that I may never shop here again.
