Perfection! 5 stars! I want to start with how perfect the Belgian waffles are at Amberdonia! Each waffle on the menu is incredible and delicious, and most of all, I loved how creative they are! They only serve these amazing waffles on Sunday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Every Sunday, I order the same one, we have tried all of them throughout our visits, but I always go back to the birthday bash, really simple, whipped cream and sprinkles. I know there is not much to be said about whipped cream, but if you haven't tried this whipped cream, the texture and flavor are perfect, and I can't get enough. I don't know what it is, but everything they make is amazing; the pizza is like no other in this area. I'm not a pizza fan; it's the same old white noise around here. The quality of ingredients is top-notch. Even the decor is awesome; they have dried wheat used in the flour for the pizza crust along the service area. You can tell a lot of thought and time went into this place and knowing it makes it much more appreciated. The service is remarkable, and everyone is so friendly and nice, which makes it enjoyable to sit and relax. You won't find another bakery like this around the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area; the prices are reasonable, knowing you are paying for quality over quantity. read more

If you want traditional Italian pizza, Amberdonia is where you'll find it. Wood fired oven in the back creates perfectly cooked crust. Toppings are traditional Italian fare including salami, prosciutto and roasted peppers. Pizza is very light and can be eaten by one person, so don't underestimate your orders. Baked goods are very good as well. There is no seating, take out only. The location is tucked back inside the Fashion Mall in Dickson City, so I hope they do enough business to stay afloat. It would be a shame to see such a hidden gem have to close their doors due to a lack of business. read more

Holy Moley this place is great! I flew into Kingston and lucked up on this place! I saw a lot of pizzeria places on the yelp mat, but this one is legit! I ordered the Romeo and Juliet pizza and it was so good! Simple ingredients without being greasy or too much. I parked behind the bank around the corner to grab a quick bite. Wood fired pizza and then for dessert there are tons of options awaiting in their beautiful pastry cases! I got a half of dozen pastries... One cream puff, one strawberry shortcake, one chocolate cream puff, one French eclair, one tiramisu and a lemon cream. They were OK, the cream in all of them tasted the same. The apple tart was OK, the apples needed to be cooked a bit longer. read more

My wife was wanting some fruit tarts and so we went to their old address, they were closed down, then we found the newer address on our smart phones so off we went...you walk in and your eyes are bombarded with all kinds of magical pastry delights...YUM! Then we discovered they have a wood fired oven for Pizza! we order several pastry treats and sat down for their Americana Pizza! What a great pie! Light crust perfectly cooked with pepperoni, Mozzarella, Parmigiana, looked like stewed tomatoes but not a sauce like most common pies, Then you add Olive oil and Basil! I absolutely love Amberdonia! First of all the staff is amazing always so kind and sweet. The salads and the pizza make it a great place for lunch. If you haven't been there on Saturday or Sunday mornings for the waffles yet strongly suggest you give it a try. I am in New Yorker raised on Italian pastries from Arthur Avenue... Their pastry are the closest I've come to New York since I've moved here. And the cupcakes are fabulous.. my favorite is the cannoli. read more

This is an amazing little local place of the main drag. While I have never had their pizza whenever the wife and I want great coffee and dessert we go here. They have case and full of fresh handmade desserts of all types. I have had everything from plain old cookies to German Chocolate muffins to small fruit cheesecakes and it has all been tasty! There are quite a few different types of coffee there however I normally just stick with coffee flavored coffee so you're on your own there sorry about that. Pizza is good but I do normally need to ask for an extra couple seconds.. I don't like a soggy floppy slice. So the sauce seems to soak in it a little too much, but it is very good. Decent typical pricing. For the pizza. NOW, for the bakery, it is extremely expensive I think. Is it good? Yea, but not the best, sometimes it's fresher than other times. That's the other thing, inconsistent with freshness, I've had great experiences and them good experiences. Never bad though, ok. That's why I give 4 stars. read more

It was my husbands birthday and I wanted to get him something from the bakery. When I stopped, the guy outside said they were closed. I did not know he was an owner so I asked if he knew of another bakery that was open in the area. He asked what I was looking for and told me he would help me. I walked in and was amazed at the selection that I had a difficult time making a selection. I walked out with 4 different cupcakes. I absolutely adore this place! Such a special place hidden away in the residential area of Kingston. The decor inside and the "treehouse" vibes are calming and an enjoyable environment to relax. The pizza is delicious and different from other pizza produced in the area. The baked goods and coffee is another great touch, I always want to try a new baked good when I come into the cafe. In June 2015 I called this bakery based on Yelp reviews to do a birthday cake for my moms big 85th birthday. I asked specifically for very little icing and the cake I picked up could hardly be cut due to do soooo much icing ! Disappointed after the large family dinner I called to let them know. If I was a local ... I wouldn't go back. The woman I spoke to apologized and said I could come in anytime and get another complimentary cake. I explained to her I live in FL and am only in the area a few times a year but she reiterated her offer would stand regardless Fast forward to March 2016. I had to come into town unexpectedly to help my mom relocate and the entire family was in town again ... We were celebrating both my brother and sisters bdays that had just recently passed. I didn't order in advance since I just flew in but took my mom to get her hair done at Viewmont Mall and stopped in not expecting much. As expected, the kids working there didn't know anything about it but they called someone ? Owner? Baker? She said she remembered the situation and I could select a cake from case. It was smaller than what we ordered in June and not personalized, but without advance ordering and almost a year later .. I was impressed!
