I booked a regular cut and the stylist pressured me into a curly cut ($85 vs $135) despite me saying that I didn't think that would work well for my hair as my hair texture is waves/loose curls. I wouldn't have minded paying more if it was a good cut but the cut is nothing like what I requested and is an uneven mess. My hair is way shorter than I wanted and is so stressful to style. When my initial reaction to the cut was that it was very short, the stylist got upset and said I asked for a short cut (if you look at the inspiration photo you can see how much shorter mine turned out). I pointed out the uneveness and she said it was because of my hair being tighter curls on one side, which I told her wasn't the case. She also told me that I don't need products with hold after I shared that I'm struggling with finding products that give me enough hold, and said how she styled my hair was proof- as is obvious in the picture my hair was completely flat and a mess. I'm not a confrontational person so at that point I just wanted to get out of the salon. The stylist had positive reviews so my only guess is that she wasn't experienced with my hair type. I have since tried styling multiple ways including blowing out my hair and it is obvious how uneven it is; it's so embarrassing that I had to trim some of the most noticeable pieces myself. I work in a school and have had kids saying all day long "why did you cut off all your hair!" and I have to smile and pretend I chose this. I'm pretty easy going about my hair, but this has been so upsetting and stressful.

Like everyone, during the pandemic, I got used to coloring my hair at home but I stopped for a trim to freshen up for an in person conference I was attending and ended up getting color too and landed with Maria. She is fantastic. I am not a big fan of change but she gave me a fantastic haircut that freshened up my look that everyone was complementing my hair. Of course I am too lazy to style it myself like this; I am an air dry person myself. Very reasonable prices and good work.

I came in with a clear idea of what I wanted, nothing drastic, just a specific length and style that I know works for me. But the stylist flat-out refused to listen. Instead, she insisted she knew better because she's been doing this for many years and was incredibly patronizing throughout the appointment. It's incredibly disappointing to pay for a service only to be treated like your opinion doesn't matter. I ended up coming home and fixing it myself. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for a stylist who actually listens to their clients.

The receptionist, Suela was very accommodating in working with my busy schedule and was able to book me. I came in for a cut, color and blowout. I have wavy short hair so it's not very easy to achieve the pixie cut I want. Effie took his time to examine my hair. Gave me a great color, cut and blowout. His assistant Tony, was awesome as well. Guy who applied it in the past time I was there (several months ago different guy -- I think the owner) raved about how semi permanent is better than permanent and how the salon only has semi permanent die. Went today and found out the die was permanent but only when the new hairdresser applied it. He asked if I wanted to wash out my hair and I asked if it would be possible to do that. He proceeded to take me to the back to wash my hair out. When I was there I asked if there was semi permanent color and when he said no I asked if I could just do the haircut instead. The Guy said you know what he had a lot of patients (place was empty and I booked a haircut and hair die service) and perhaps I should to go back to my child. Found it extremely rude. Felt like I got kicked out of the salon. I paid for the permanent die he used and ran out of place. I won't come again. It wasn't a pleasant experience. I'm pregnant and was feeling so insecure about my appearance I saw a friend whose hair he did SO beautifully and naturally I reached out immediately at 10pm on a weeknight-- he responded promptly, answered all of my annoying questions, ordered the hair I've always wanted and got me in that week. He's absolutely lovely and an unbelievably talented artist-- I could not believe the hair and confidence I walked out with!! I emerged transformed with the most gorgeous hair and have felt 1000% better about my appearance than I ever did before pregnancy.
