New pizzeria alert. The food is amazing. Been here twice and tried 4 different types of slices. I can't decide what I like best. The service is excellent and the choices are great. What a great addition to the plaza since the closing of the former pizzeria restaurant that was here.

    Grandma Sicilian Pie

Calamari: fantastic crunchy, flavorful, included the leggy bits and lemon was on the side (thanks!) Grandma pie: awful. Crust too thick and rubbery and soggy at the same time. Greasy (I've never had grease drip from a grandma slice) basil? It was green but there was no basil flavor...I even isolated the basil and chewed on it a while...no basil. The sauce is fine. The onions lacked flavor too they were just....there. Had high hopes but it's definitely not a spot for grandma pie

Chicken cutlet parm was tasty and a good size. The fried calamari was also well prepared and a good portion.

While the pizza is good, it wouldn't be something I'd specially make the trek out for. I do like their Cheese Pie ($19.50), which had a crispy and thin crust. This was simple, but good. We also ordered the Garbage Pie ($28.50), which had various toppings as in the name. This one didn't quite have any flavor that stood out, but gave more sustenance. We also got an order of the Fried Calamari ($16), which were lightly coated and fried nicely. I did enjoy these as an appetizer, which is great for sharing. Overall, it's a solid place that lives more on nostalgia. The place does get busy though. They also have a small parking lot, but we were also able to find street parking on a Sunday afternoon.

It has a casual vibe, but still feels like a proper restaurant, which makes it perfect for anything from a quick bite to a relaxed sit down meal. It's a small spot, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine in. I've tried their signature coal oven pizza, chicken parmigiana, penne vodka, and the flatbread. Everything was absolutely delicious. You can also order drinks, not just soda or juice, which adds to the overall experience. Street parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it. I was so caught up with enjoying the food that I barely took any photos, and that just says it all. I'll definitely be back and add more pictures next time.

Many cultures around the Mediterranean have different forms of chickpea fritters and/or…read morechickpea-filled sandwiches. There's of course falafel to the east, garantita in Algeria, and panisse in France (or socca in a similar vein). Sicilian panelle is Italy's counterpart, and the version at Ungaro is an excellent example of it. The panelle comes served with a healthy serving of ricotta on a seeded bun. It has a relatively mild, filling flavor that lets you fully enjoy the chickpea fritters themselves. They also have a potato croquette sandwich on the menu - a distant cousin of the Vada pav I plan to try next time. The half vodka pizza we tried was good, with high-quality mozzarella and a decadent sauce. The pie itself had a nice chewiness to it - if I had any suggestions, perhaps next time they could go a bit easier on the quantity of the sauce.

I told him, "brother's." he smiled, nodded, and said "they're good." He was right. It's a nice place, nothing fancy, they do have a nice dining area. The people are friendly. I decided to get a margherita slice, and I saw these little balls. I asked what they were, and he said "potato croquettes." they came in an order of three. I got my food and I took it back to my hotel. It was amazing. The slice, the dough was perfectly thin, not tough at all, it was a very good quality cheese, I could definitely taste the basil, and the sauce underneath was amazing. The croquettes, they were not over breaded or over fried, they were very tender. The potato inside was creamy and delicious, and they came with an amazing marinara for dipping. This wasn't just your normal tomato sauce. This marinara had a deep rich flavor that went perfect with the croquettes. The price was extremely reasonable for what I got. They are cash only, but they do have ATM at the entrance to the store. I'm a fan. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I will be back. Thank you.

The pan pizza was soggy in the center, tough throughout most of the slices, and not crispy except, mercifully, at the edges. It was loaded with mozzarella but didn't have nearly enough tomato sauce to cut through the fat. The buffalo chicken pizza had a tough, mealy undercarriage, with dry chicken and not enough sauce. My order was delayed by about 10 minutes, taking over an hour to arrive even though I live nearby. It definitely wasn't worth the $74 I paid post-tip. Can't speak to the ambiance since it was a delivery.
