As an adult, I keep track of my appointments and dont want to be infantilized. If you don't confirm an appointment by the time they want, they will cancel your slot and make you an 'anytime appointment'. I understand needing a schedule, but I really dont like threats. Additionally, they just didn't show up for an appointment they pestered me about and when i contacted them at 6pm, i got an 'oopsie' reply from a third party person who said i'd be contacted by the office. That was several months ago so.... All in all I just didn't appreciate how I was treated.

I called A Wildlife Pro DFW after having another company tell me I had to spend thousands of dollars to replace my insulation and all sorts of stuff. Aaron came out the very next day to take a look at my property. He told me that there was nearly no damage to my attic, just a few holes around the roof line of my house. He put these little doors on the holes so that the squirrels could leave but not get back in. Within a week, he came back and fixed up the holes. He was able to do this while I was at work, which was really convenient. This work cost less than I expected and the animals were out quickly. all the staff which I talked to were nice and very knowledgeable. I like that they're construction focused and humane to animals instead of exterminator service. There have been no more critters in my attic, driving my dogs insane with their squirrely sounds.

He did a thorough assessment, gave us a couple of options that were financially reasonable and we were happy! Turns out it was a bird, and he sealed all of the entry points in our home at a fraction of the costs. Chris was fair, on-time and professional. We are moving in about a month and I plan on using him to do some preventive work on our new home. Don't waste your time with the other companies...you won't be disappointed! Simply phenomenal!

According to him, they "recently closed their Texas offices". Or something. Said it would take "a week to ten days" before someone could come out. That's crap customer service, crap website management, and crap response time no matter what state you're in. If you can't get a wild animal out of someone's house before ten days, then you're not a wildlife control company or even an actual business with a service to offer. You're idiots who have a deceptive website for no good reason.

I reached out to Rodent Retreat specifically because they are a local veteran-owned business, not a franchise. The whole team was amazing. I was able to schedule an inspection right away, and the gentleman who came explained different options to humanely remove the raccoon and prevent any other critters (including field mice and roof rats) from getting to the house. Based on the services I selected, they came back several times to repair the eaves, seal up possible points of entry on the roof and around the foundation, set rodent traps in the attic and garage, and sanitize the attic. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly and polite, communication was exceptional, and pricing is very reasonable, especially given the high quality of service. They really went above and beyond. I highly recommend Rodent Retreat!

Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

We were given a long report with pictures and recommendations which we submitted to our builder for warranty repair. Paul cut no corners and we plan on referring him to our neighbors who needs the first inspection and/or their 11 month.

Would be -5 stars if possible! Note: David discounts services if you show him that you write positive reviews for his company and like him on Facebook. Don't be fooled by all these rave reviews!!!! I know at least three families that have had HORRIBLE experiences with David from Ambush! He is a scary, threatening, uncontrollable guy that has the temper of a psycho. I cancelled service on him because he was rude, abrasive and unapologetically racist (not because of his capability killing pests). He went BALLISTIC both over the phone and by text message and made threatening comments. He turns things around and blames the customer for all his problems. Says he has an entomology degree and that helps his ability to fight pests. Yes, he good at pest control but so are 100s of other competitors. He also makes comments about how he is a good Christian that attends church on Sundays (somehow being a religious man doesn't fit with the way he treats others.) He also has a couple of other businesses that he peddles around town including Christmas Light Installation. He is a SCARY NIGHTMARE!! read more

Ambush has handled pest control for my parents for over 15 years. When I moved into my new home, I contacted them right away. We signed a yearly contract and have been thrilled with the service. The owner of the company (who provides the service himself) shows up on time and is prepared to handle any issues. He is responsive and communicative when I've contacted him with questions. Each time our home was serviced, he explained little things we could do to minimize ants, spiders, snakes, etc. We live in a more rural area and many neighbors have had significant pest issues, but we have not because of Ambush's vast knowledge and follow through. Ambush Pest Management is the best company I have ever used for pest control, and I have used several over the past 25 years. The owner does all of the services himself and he really knows his business. The few times I have had an issue between quarterly services, he promptly returned and addressed the issue. We use Ambush for our quarterly pest control, termite control, exclusion services (to keep critters out of our attic space) and a mosquito misting system. Randomly called this company to treat a bird mite problem and WOW. I was able to very quickly get a consultation and accurate assessment of the situation. David takes the time to fully discuss what needs to be done and the best way to do it. He kept a small problem from turning into a huge disaster. He also took the time completely go over the whole house top to bottom, inside and out to look for any other problems like rodents and other pests. I then called Shepherd and their price ended up being almost half of what Orkin was going to charge. They used to do monthly pest spraying for me, but I had to cut that services when I was going through a divorce and lost my job not too long after that. It had nothing to do with them. They've also come out and looked at a few possible problems that I had and gave me their opinion on how to handle the situation. If I can use a local person or local company to do work, I will do the local company over a national company any day. I'll especially use Shepherd Pest over a major company like Orkin.
