Chris is a very nice young man who is honest and non-threatening. I was having a chronic problem with squirrels in my attic and had had another person come start the process of removing them. That man set up a one way entry and then never came back. Of course the squirrels found another entry and we had to start all over. Someone on my Nextdoor app recommended the pest control service that Chris contracts with. So I call them up and was soon meeting with Chris. I was pleasantly surprised at how Chris listened to my concerns, made a thorough inspection, and then developed a plan. I never did feel like he was after a quick sale or saw me as an easy target for taking advantage of, as some service people do. He is an expert in this field, very knowledgeable about all kinds of small animals and rodents and what part of the area/state they choose to take up residence. We were hearing noises in our attic for several nights so I called our regular exterminator service. They came out and set a rat trap. That night we heard a lot more noise in the attic and I was sure the trap had caught a rat. In the morning there was a bad odor in the house. I again called our exterminator but when they went to the attic they could not find the trap or rat. After spending a half hour looking they recommended we get in touch with Lone Star Animal Removal Services. Chris showed up two hours later. He asked a lot of questions and provided a lot of information. He then went into the attic and found the dead rat in the trap within five minutes. The trapped rat had run while trapped before dying. Chris examined the outside of our house and found several possible entry points. He installed several sheet metal slabs and painted them to match our house and trim color. Chris with Lonstar was awesome. We had our family's large dog pass after 13 great years. It happened while we were out of town and our daughter was there alone taking care of her and found her at 6:00am. We found Lonstar online and called from out of town at 6:15am. I don't have enough good things to say about these guys. Chris and Mike are awesome. They aren't your typical creepy rodent guys where I would feel the need to have mace in my hand while they were in my home. I was quoted my offsprings college education by another company to get rid of our furry, unwelcome house guests. Panicked, I got another two quotes. Mike's quote was a fraction of the previous ones with the same scope of work involved. However, he did use a stern voice with me for not calling him first. (We had used his services before for a termite problem and I didn't know they handled infestations of the rodent variety as well.) I learned my lesson. They do. We were not sure what we were dealing with, but they inspected my property for entry points and made a plan to figure out and catch whatever it was getting into my attic. Oh my gosh! These guys are absolutely great!! Chris is very professional and respectable!! For a day, I was calling all over the place looking for someone to remove a dead animal from my driveway. A Starling family had established itself in a vent. We contacted Chris at Lone Star Animal Removal as soon as the chicks were fledged. He came within two days, checked the vent, and the attic. He placed a replacement vent cover with a grill that latched shut, and caulked around to keep moisture out. However, the next day, we found that the latch had been opened and we heard some chirping.
