Yesterday we purchased 2020 Kia Soul from this dealership. Mark and his partner were very responsive and great to deal with. When we arrived car was in good condition and clean. It had some water damage on the glass but we didn't mind it. They offered the car at a great price and the transaction was smooth. Prior to this visit we saw 2 other dealerships and their cars were in terrible condition so we walked away. They tried to give us 12% rate with 830 credit scores. These guys used Credit Union and offered 6.5% and our payment is $100 less then what the other dealerships offered. I always pay attention to how the office looks. Tried to bait and switch me with another car. Business owners are comfortable with lying to my face when the 'mistake' was caught. Dishonest and/or disorganized business that wasted my time. I worked with the owner on the first day, and then when I came back, the owner's brother was there when the deception took place. The owner's brother tried to tell me that his own brother was 'the new guy' who had made a mistake. So he would sell out his own brother when a customer gets upset when they found out they had been tricked. That is the level of honesty of these business owners. Almost got ripped off! AVOID this place - unethical and scummy business practices. Predatory. Tried to hide severe damage on AutoCheck and CarFax. I was shopping for a used car and found a used 2014 Miata with low miles at AMC Auto Sales Inc through cars.com The salesman (owner?) Mark was friendly through email, and the price was within market value, but a decent deal. I was almost set on purchasing this car as it had all the options I was looking for. Mind you I live 2 hours away from this dealership and was planning on driving down today to look at the car before purchase. When I asked for the CarFax as their website states "Free CarFax and Autocheck" the salesman sent me the AutoCheck instead. Only it never arrived to my inbox, after asking again, he pasted a version of the AutoCheck into an email and sent it, assuring me to check my spam folder. Everything on the Autocheck showed it was 100% clean, maintenance performed, no damage, no accidents. It looked perfect. At the bottom of the page was a summary of the vehicle history, but I noticed something odd... between the years 2013 and 2018, there was NO history at all. No registration, no service, nothing. What could explain this 5 year gap? Because he wouldn't send me the CarFax, I figured if I'm about to spend almost 25k on this car I might as well pay $40 to just be sure. Sure enough, CarFax had ALL the missing vehicle history in the AutoCheck Mark sent me. SEVERE damage listed in big letters at the top of my screen. Never in my life have I been so glad to have been proven wrong. Mark never mentioned any of this, in fact, it seems like he hid it from me intentionally. I like to believe I would have uncovered it as I was planning on having the vehicle inspected prior to purchase, but when I asked Mark when he was planning on telling me about the damage I got no reply. I cannot recommend anyone shop at this business. Mark could have sent me the CarFax, but instead he sent me the AutoCheck which conveniently was missing 5 years of records information. Unfortunately, someone with less scrutiny will probably get preyed on by these tactics. I've attached photos of the AutoCheck Mark sent me as proof, as well as the CarFax I ran. Please beware. Had Mark stated the car had damage and was repaired, I may have been open to buying it. The slimyness of hiding it turned me off forever. Scam Bought a 2015 Mini Cooper from them 2.5 years ago for about 12k and now (2021) I am trying to sell it back to them. They were friendly like before initially over SMS but once I shared the VIN number they plain ignored me. I took it to Serramonte Lexus and they offered a boooo 3k, which totally threw me off. I stand by my previous review, but I have to share how exceptional they really are. When I bought my Audi, one of the headlights were going out. So, I took it to Audi Palo Alto to handle it under the warranty after the purchase- which they did, but the headlights were two different colors after. Annoying... To make a long story short, Audi PA refused to fix the other claiming the car had hood and fender damage. I just about LOL'ed myself on the spot with a "do I look like I was born yesterday" look and left irritated. I guess a couple of barely noticeable touch ups around the headlight qualify as accident damage to them. My bf called Nima who said they'd take care of the bulb the next morning which was Saturday. Perfect. I brought my A5 across the Dumbarton, and they changed out the bulb to match. I met Mark, the owner, who was super nice and solicitous to making things right. I bought my first car there yesterday, 2013 Ford Fusion. This is the only dealer I visited and I felt really lucky to have met such a good dealer at first time. The condition of the car was as described on the website. I first found the car available on cargurus.com. I felt satisfied with the history and the design of it. As a used car, it has clean title and I especially like the interior design. Most IMPORTANT IS THAT it offers a really good price compared with other dealers. At first I even thought the car must not as good as it should be with such a price. But when I visited on site, except some unexpected scratches, later buffered by dealer, the driving experience is quite good and I knew that the dealer had done the car inspection and changed the break pad and break rotor as recommended by the auto care who did the inspection. All the employees are very nice. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK and RECOMMEND Sam who helped me with all the paper works and explained to me very clear on all questions I asked. He explained the function and how to operate the car very patiently. He is very PROFESSIONAL and he said he has been working here for ten years. ONE THING I would like to HIGHLIGHT is that this dealer is a DMV agent and they will do all the work on behalf of customers to DMV, which means you save a lot of time! Especially I know that you need to wait for several hours in the line. Found AMC Auto Sales due to an extremely fair-priced Passat in inventory. On a hunch I checked their inventory and found a fully loaded Jetta for an unbelievable price. Surely there must have been something wrong with the vehicle to be listed so far below KBB value. I called the next morning and was told there was an error when listing the Jetta, as there was a base model in the same color as well and they had accidentally switched the prices. Mark said he would honor the listed price. So naturally I dropped everything and made my way over the Fremont. The car was exactly as described and pictured. It drove flawlessly and every option worked as expected. The outside of the car was near perfect, with only a small, mostly fixed dent at the bottom of one of the doors. Mark and his brother Sam honored the extremely undervalued deal and I walked out still in disbelief. They were extremely forthcoming with every step of the purchasing process. I was trying my hardest not to write a review. But after multiple mishaps with this dealership, I decided to share my experience with everyone. I bought an SUV with this company at the end of March 2017. I was told by the sales representative Nima, that the carpets for the car, the center console tray, and the little black covers for the suv would be mailed to me. Not only did Nima sell me the SUV, he also promoted his Bimmer business while I sat and waited for the paperwork for my purchase to be done with. Anyhow, I waited over 2 weeks and didn't receive anything so we called the dealership and was told that they would send them. Never got them. We called again the following weekend and was told that they have it ready and to pick it up. We made our way out there after stopping in Livermore for a Veteran appointment, but the parts they had were not parts to match the SUV and the carpets were not the right ones. So we left empty handed. On April 3rd, 2017 at 11:52am, Alex (I guess the owner) called and left me a voicemail telling me that they had the parts and that I can come pick them up. I told Alex that Nima told me they would be mailed to me because I live over an hour away and that he (Alex) himself then told me that he would mail them. Up until now I have not receive my parts. I also received my registration paperwork in the mail a few weeks ago. The tags on my SUV was expired since January 2017. I finally made it to my local DMV and was told that the tags were paid up to date and that the dealership only paid the $15 transfer fee. When I asked the DMV person, they told me the dealership should've given me my registration along with the stickers/tags since it was already paid for but because I needed a new tag, I had to pay the $20 fee for new tags. When I purchased this SUV, Nima told me to leave the paper plates on until DMV sends me all the paperwork and plates. Well, the same day I purchased the SUV I took the paper plates off. And what do you know, the plates were underneath those dealership paper plates. I knew some thing was fishy, but I gave this business the benefit of the doubt that they wouldn't rip customers off. Unfortunately I was wrong. In the end, I lost $20 for tags that this business ripped me off. I never received the little covers for my car, no center console tray, and no carpets. Which all means I'll have to buy them myself. I wouldn't recommend this place to any family or friends, unless they were desperate to find a car, and are willing to look for additional parts, and maybe paying additional DMV fees. read more

I've been shopping for a car and I'm still undecided whether to purchase a new one from a dealership or used one from a private party. I always assumed that used cars from dealers would be priced at a hefty premium (retail). That's until I came across AMC Auto in Fremont. They advertised a 2005 Scion tc with low miles (29K) for $10,888. I spoke to both Sam and Mark before driving over there and found them to be pleasant and straightforward. Over the phone, I specifically inquired about the condition of the body, and Mark said, "Well, it is a four-year old vehicle so there are some marks. But when I got over there and examined the Scion closely, there was only one tiny scratch (an eighth of an inch at most) on the rear bumper that most people wouldn't even notice. Mark handed me the keys and let me test-drive the vehicle solo. When I returned, he wasn't pushy in any way. He was willing to negotiate even after I informed him that I may want to charge the full price on my credit card in order to earn reward points. I couldn't find any other online review on AMC Auto in Fremont, but most of the feedback on other used and new car dealers were horrible or outright scary. I would definitely recommend Mark and Sam at AMC Auto if you're looking for a good deal (they carry a variety of makes and models) and trustworthy sales people. I purchased a 2010 Saab 9-3 from Nima at the beginning of April. He was great, with no pressure tactics at all! He let me test drive it by myself, worked with me on the price, and found me an incredible financing rate that was better than my own bank. I requested that they replace a turn signal cover that was missing and Nima said he would. True to his word, he ordered the part and replaced it, and even fixed a seat lever that wasn't working that I noticed a week after buying the car. When I brought the car in Nima was off, but I got great service from Alex and Sam who gave me a loaner car while they had the work done.They also fully detailed my car when I brought it back in for the work. I drove from San Francisco to test drive a 2011 bmw 328i coupe they had on their website. Before coming down he said the two owners on the carfax was actually the original lease holders followed by the dealer. After arriving one member of the dealership informed me that "his guys" had made an alteration to the car since they had taken the photos and uploaded them. Then in person the car clearly had several modifications. I asked them if they had made these modifications and why the pictures showed a different car. Another guy said "my brother was mistaken" the photos on the website were for a completely different car and the 2nd owner (who they admit was not themselves) was the one who made all of the modifications and only owned it for a month. i was looking through craigslist for a used SUV and came across an ad for a Ford Escape. Turned out it was posted by AMC auto sales. While i preferred buying a used car directly from owners, i took a chance and called to schedule a test drive. Couldn't be more pleasantly surprised - Sam and Mark made the buying experience a truly satisfying one. Quickly went over the car, gave me the keys and had me drive off the lot to test drive. Got back, worked with Sam on the numbers and he came through with a good set of numbers. Being a used car i was expecting to see some minor scratches on the car which in my mind was not show stopper for buying the car. After we concluded the deal, Sam offered me to leave th car so they could touch up the paint and clean it up a bit. I gladly left it, they not only worked on the scratches but they also sent it to the mechanic for a final inspection . they were straight with me and i never got the sense that i was being BS'ed and in fact got the sense that they were in it for repeat business by giving great customer service. The salesman said he didn't sell modified cars.. Took it to my mechanic and there was a TON of mods. I maintain all of my cars. I'm always up to date on all of my services.. 4 months later, this happened. This place will sell you a POS, knowing its a huge POS, give you the best deal and once you drive off its your problem. My overall experience at AMC Auto Sales was really good. I began my search for a Infiniti G37 Sedan in black about 2 weeks ago, I searched craigslist and all the used car dealerships for it. I found one at AMC auto and it seemed too good to be true so I had to check it out when I passed by their location. Initially, I walked in and asked about the car maybe after 30 seconds talking they asked if I wanted to check it out and instantly gave me the keys to check it out by myself without them hovering over your shoulders so that was nice. Many other dealerships have salesmen all over you waiting to pitch their sale, but thats not the case at AMC they really do treat you with utmost respect. I left the dealership wanting the car badly, but I had to be smart and shop around. Few days later I was really decided to get the car from them so I started to apply for loans at local credit union. I emailed them about the car and they answered every question promptly. Finally, I filled out the application form online on their website to see if they can give me a better deal since the best APR I could qualify for was 15%. The next day I came in to discuss the terms and rates and the day after that I took the car home. Keep in mind that my process was prolonged because of my situation, but if you have your funds ready and find something at their lot I'm sure you can be out of their office in 2 hours or so. The lot isnt big, but if you take a look at what they have they are mostly high-end luxury cars so that made me feel comfortable with the car. Sam (finance guy) was really helpful in person and Mark (internet lead guy) were both really helpful. The day of when I got my car sent it off to get smog checked and detailed the car. They took care of me that day and also my other future needs. This is my first time buying a car from a dealership but not my first time around dealership or used car dealership. AMC made it a great experience and comfortable one. They also provided free carfax to me so that alone saved me $ not to mention the discount he gave my mom for coming down from Roseville to help me finance the car. Other reviews may be an isolated event as my car is in pristine condition! It also only had 15k miles so that helps the cause. Last but not the least, price! The price of my car was so good that it reflected the price of a car that has double the mileage so they are definitely competitive when it comes to pricing, although they arent as flexible with negotiations, but they do try and give you the best APR you can find! It is places like these that give used car dealerships a terrible reputation. I went the other day and test drove a vehicle I was very interested in. I left that afternoon and said I would be in touch soon. One of the salesmen said that I could call and put a deposit down to reserve the car so it wouldn't be sold. I then called back just two hours later and spoke to the only other salesperson in the place about wanting to put a deposit down to get it the next day. He told me that I didn't need to put a deposit down and that I could come the next day when they opened to purchase the car. I asked him if he needed to take my phone number just in case and he said that he had it on his phone record and he would call me if anything changed. The next morning I drove an hour to get a cashiers check and show up in time only to find that they had sold that previous night. They told me they lost my phone number. I am floored that they would be so completely flakey and unethical. This place is totally shady so be aware that these people will screw you to make a sale. read more
