This theater is definitely on the older side and the seats could use a bit of an upgrade. They were fairly comfortable but not as plushy as other new movie theaters! I love the size and cleanliness of the theater and the employees were all friendly and easy to interact with. They also have more premium theaters such as Dolby and IMAX. In the regular theaters, the sound and picture quality is very good. I love how they play a lot of indie movies as well. It's very easy to get here with the T being right across the street! There are also ample restaurants and coffee shops nearby for before or after a show!

Second visit to this theatre. I love how large each theatre is, makes the viewing experience feel epic; as the screen is huge no matter where you sit. The theatre itself seems to be staffed by a skeleton crew. At least it seemed this way during my visit, just one person to check you in and one person at concessions. Lines moved quickly despite this. I have a list and saw two movies during my visit. The employee would not let me check in for both at the same time. Meaning I had to see my first movie, leave my snacks at the concession stand, and then hurry to take an elevator to the lobby to check in. The down escalator was not working and you had to either take the elevator or walk down the emergency stairs. I do really enjoy this theatre. It's grand in scale and very quiet.

An old school theater in Boston. Has fun nostalgic decor and all your wants and needs from a theater. Due to it being more original, there's no recliner seats just fyi...at least the specific theater I was in. They have concessions, popcorn was good! Would come back here for the vibes and when in the area.

Been here many times and will continue coming. The location is perfect being in a walking distance from both the Green and Red T lines stops. The massive size of the building is an experience in itself and you'll see some pretty astonishing views up there.

Anyone got some binoculars I can borrow?

Plush rocker seats= too cheap to upgrade to recliners Laser at AMC = smallest screen possible. Smallest size soda and popcorn = $20 The movies used to be fun. Edit during movie: it's been great listening to the movie next door while trying to watch a more quiet film in my theater

Nice AMC movie theaters in Boston! Nice staff and they have there entire menu for food. The prices are the same as all the other AMC's theaters I have been too (pretty penny for popcorn and a soda). Still recommend if you love the movies. (:

This is your typical movie theater in a big city. It was a rainy Sunday after a brunch at the Friendly Toast. We were looking for something fun to do indoors and wanted to check out Shang-Chi. This must have been the main thing to do on a Sunday because the theater was packed. I was not initially prepared to be in a packed theater with people but I went ahead anyways. By the end of the movie, I realized how much I missed seeing great blockbuster hits on opening weekend with a great crowd reaction. The movie aside the overall experience was great. I enjoyed the kiosks present on the first floor to let you purchase your own ticket. Shang-Chi had an option to watch with Mandarin subtitles which I did not realize. I was confused at first but it didn't bother me. The concession line was long so I skipped it to make it to the movie in time. Overall, great option to watch a movie in Boston. The only thing that would make this better would be reclining seats.

I was here last May to catch a matinee showing of Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I purchased my ticket on the mobile app, but the movie theater lobby was not opened until about 30 minutes before the start of the movie. The movie theater was pretty clean, but the seats were the older, smaller, non-reclining seats. I might be a bit spoiled, but I almost expect every AMC movie theater to have those big, comfy, lounging recliners. The picture and sound quality was good. The restrooms were kept pretty clean.

Seats stink, food, drinking area have strong smell of urine. Can't understand how this kind of place still in business.

I love this theatre. Great events (such as screenings and Q&As with filmmakers), classic movies…read morethat for some of us would've never been able to see on the big screen. The staff have always been friendly and the food is good and has always been fresh. They also have a membership program, where for a flat rate you can see as many movies as you like (*special engagements not included). Fully worth it. Especially if you're someone who enjoys the art of filmmaking beyond the revolving door of "Dwayne The Rock Johnson jumps out of an explosion" movies that first run theatres consistently play. Lots of classics, as well as modern movies. Definitely my favorite theatre in the city.

Local indie cinema playing a pretty neat selection of films - check out their event calendar, they…read moredo a rotation of films. My friend and I went to see the matinee showing of An American Tail: Fievel Goes West on an original 35mm borrowed by RISD (which I thought was pretty cool). Forgive the blasphemy but the theater does give off high school auditorium vibes: I wish there was a bit more of an incline for the seats further back and the seats themselves are not super comfortable. There is a balcony, however, that I might check out next time. Convenient location with lots of great restaurants around for a pre-/post-show meal or drink. Parking is tricky but only if you're coming from the direction of JFK Street (avoid if possible). Use Mt Auburn Street instead - more parking options and a lot less traffic. 2-hr meter options only and the ticketing is aggressive. If you're here for a movie and a show, definitely recommend moving your car at some point to avoid a ticket.
