The theatre is relatively nice and have some of the most comfortable electonic adjusting chairs in their main Dolby theatres. With over 100+ speakers, it makes for some of the more immersive experiences, nearly comparable to the Chinese Theatre and El Capitan! There's alot of places to eat around there before movietime so that's convenient. There also isn't any parking that you need to pay for when you go to the plaza so that's great too. Pretty solid theatre with impressive main stages that kind of make more not want to turn back to normal theatres haha. The only downside that stops me from giving full stars is the service...as well as the cleanliness of the place. The gentleman that rung us up on our popcorn and drink was so obviously ready to get off shift and curt when we asked for a consession box for the large popcorn we were going to split to put butter in. Said he couldn't do 'anything' about it, until a fellow co worker brought some a minute later. Yeah, not the most polite way to give a concession box. The condiment station was also a haphazard mess, with ketchup, popcorn, soggy jalapenos, strewn everywhere! Just one person could've taken a few minutes to clean the mess: and the mess was still there when we left after midnight! Popcorn was on the floor, everywhere. I had also the pleasant experience of finding an empty tequila bottle in the restroom stall bathroom. But really those are easy fixes, so I'd go again, if it were a movie in those expensive nice Dolby theatres! read more

I'm glad to see AMC has adopted a single line for the snack bar because lines make me anxious and I always feel like I got in the slowest one. Unfortunately I don't have my Stubs cards with me so I can't wait in the premier fast line, and have to wait in the much longer standard line. And although it is a single line, that doesn't help when there's only a single cashier open for this line. I bet they open another window, but only after I've given up (that's my luck with lines). I recommend bringing your physical stubs card, or they told me the phone app will also work to get you into the short line. read more

One of the good theaters to go to in the Burbank area. The rooms for the movies are laid out in a circle and they have a new bar area located to the left once you enter. Had our Stubs Rewards card, so we got to cut the line per se, but the guy who helped us didn't see enthusiastic to help us. So minus a star for that. We ended up getting the bbq chicken flatbread and their new 1.5 lb pretzel with a large drink. Our theater wasn't ready yet, so we walked around trying to find a bench nearby, but there were none! So we ended up sitting on the floor to eat our food. The flatbread was great and no joke the pretzel was as big as my face. It was soft, but didn't have as much salt to my liking so next time gonna ask for more hehe We literally were let in to the theater room about 20 minutes before preview start and had assigned seating. Right before the movie started there was an attendant kicking people out who weren't seated in the right spot and didn't have a ticket to see the movie that was being shown either. To me the NEW & improved AMC 16 along Palm Ave was a surprise as I tend to avoid it having gone to high school nearby many moons ago. Back then it was just outdated and past its prime. I like the updated version much better. Buy your tickets and select your seats at ground level. Take the escalator up to the theaters. Show your ticket. Huge snack bar and drink selections are right in front of you as you enter. Dolby theater are to your right. And all the other theaters are to the left and right. The updated decor is nice. Restrooms were clean. We went on a weekday afternoon so maybe that's why it was so chill. I would never attempt on a weekend. Night or day. Just too chaotic. I deducted one star because we went when it was raining and there is no shielding yourselves from the elements while waiting in line to buy movie tickets. You are totally exposed to the rain and if you just walked over from the nearest underground parking lot without an umbrella (like us) then you're in for a soaking. Couple that with people taking their time on which seats to choose, you may get wet. Other than that, it was a pleasant movie going experience. read more

Wow this is by far the worst theater I've ever been to in my life. Don't get me wrong, Being an AMC Stubs member, I've been VERY happy with the other AMC theaters such as Century City and Universal City Walk, which I why I was super surprised at how much I disliked AMC Burbank. The first thing I noticed when I walked in, is that the line for the concession stand looked like the line for space mountain at Disneyland, zigzagging about 6 times and not moving whatsoever. There were only two people working and they couldn't serve anyone bc they were too busy getting yelled at for incorrect orders. One guy said he had waited 20 min for pizza bites, another woman cussing at the other concession worker, and my girlfriend having to wait 10 min for popcorn AFTER ordering it. In addition, it was horrendously FILTHY. Popcorn and trash all over the floors. Probably bc every trash can was overflowing like it hadn't been taken out for the last two hours, and I'm telling you, every trash can. Next we get into the theater, they are very behind with the other AMC upgrades. Their chairs obviously didn't recline but were also about the same size and comfort as spirit airlines seats. For AMC being the most reputable movie theater aside from maybe Arclight, Pacific and Ipic... I expected a high standard of movie going experience. I don't understand how workers could walk by the overflowing trash cans and not take 2 min to take it out, it's beyond me. Almost seemed like half the workers took the night off. Take a look at the pictures attached, gross. I would give this theater ZERO stars if Yelp allowed it. There are enough AMC theaters in LA to never have to go to this one, don't go, trust me. read more

I don't think I've ever left a bad review even in the worst of places but please be warned this theatre is absolutely FILTHY. I mean DISGUSTING. The seats are literally blackened with dirt and grime. Cup holders are sticky and coated in dirt. This is not the fault of the employees but neglect on a CORPORATE level. There is no way employees could clean these seats properly because it's not their job and it would require professional deep cleaning. AMC just needs to gut the theatres and install new seating at this point because the ones they have are truly beyond repair. AMC as a whole should really be ashamed this is what they're offering customers considering their pricing. If the website had a clear way to complain to corporate I would be there instead of here. read more

First off this AMC is amazing and beautiful. Going up the escalator to these giant doors. The art work the smells the look was amazing. Definitely one of the most beautiful looking AMC around. The staff was friendly and courteous. The seat are comfy and the screen is huge. Great job AMC for making our experience magical. Not my theatre of choice but this is where they have free advanced movie screenings! That's the only time you'll find me here =) They have IMAX so that's a plus. The theatre doesn't smell funky like the Montebello AMC...yuck! There's plenty of parking in the structures. The bathrooms are fairly clean and well maintained. My only complaint would be the waiting area for the movie screenings...it's so damn narrow! You can barely fit 2 skinny people side by side and there's a constant influx of people passing through... But hey, if you want to watch a free movie, this is what you have to endure =) For those that are claustrophobic, Avoid! Hmm, I wonder if they forms lines here for regular paid screenings. This is a great movie venue. There are 2 IMAX screens. and one of them is a Super-IMAX, extra big. This place shows all of the regular fare, nothing artsy or unexpected. But still, its worth it for the great seats, sound, and screens. It also recently gutted its silly game-room, a throw back to the 90s, and replaced it with a bar, following in the footsteps of the Archlight. The cashier asked his manager a question on how to enter something on the kiosk and the manager denied us the sale because the hot dog would take too long to make, even though we said we would wait for it. I just don't see the issue, from a business perspective ... wouldn't you want the sale? Denying because its an inconvenience is crazy. Average theater with free parking. The IMAX theatres are by far the nicest, but there are only 2 of them. The other theaters are OK, but could possibly use some renovation. Not a bad place if you live in the area and want to catch a movie at a reasonable price. Be prepared to overpay for popcorn and snacks, if that is your thing, but also keep in mind that is par for the course. Always great to watch a big blockbuster on the big screen, so going to AMC is as fine as any other choice Just don't expect the luxurious settings that an iPic provides or the reservation system that the Arclight gives. read more

This location is kinda troublesome. Parking can be an issue and these lots are horrible - pretty much one way in and one way out so if you get to the end, you have to turn around. Most of the time it's not an issue, but definitely frustrating if you come during peak hours. For the size of the theatre, there's usually only one person taking tickets and the line to enter after buying is always backed up. Also, they have a line for A list members, the regular line ALWAYS moves faster as they have one person for A list and about 4 people for the big line. What's the point?! This location doesn't have the big recliners. The imax theatre has nicer seats even though it's not the big recliners. read more

Cool movie theater but the seats in Theater 15 are absolutely revolting. Seems that they are cleaned on a once-a-decade basis. Arms rests felt moist. Mysterious white stains on the seats. Just terrible. Also the paper straws. Really? Paper straws for an Icee. Bring back the red straws with the little spoon at the end. 90 corporations are responsible for 2/3 of global emissions. Celebrities and their private jets and yachts will pollute more in a single trip than I will in 10 years of driving my 2018 Honda Civic. But no, paper straws will surely save the Earth :| read more

This theater is great. It's really big so there's always a lot of options for what movie to see and when. It also has every kind of theater - 3D, Prime, IMAX, Dolby, etc. If you go to the movies a lot I really recommend getting AMC A-list because you can see a movie in any of these types of rooms at no extra cost with your membership, plus you can reserve seats before you get to the theater. There's a lot of free parking lots surrounding it which is nice and I feel is extremely rare in LA. Just be careful of the underground lot on busy nights, you can get trapped down there. If it's really crazy, your best bet is probably to continue down to the mall parking lot which never fills up. The location also makes it convenient to hang out before or after. We'll get dinner or shop at the mall before the movie sometimes, or get ice cream afterwards. read more

They never answer their phones, parking sucks, dirty floors, IMAX seats are uncomfortable, popcorn is usually stale, but i come here for every movie i see and always will. People hold Burbank high and mighty but the theater can't even match up to any of the worst places in NYC. This movie theatre makes me excited to be a patron. Everytime I come I think it's a privilege that I have my amc A-list pass. Watching movies for me is as important as a football fan watching his favorite football team. I specifically love this theatre because of the location (convenient parking), the decorations, and the staff. They have a designated parking garage for patrons that does not charge! This is hard to find in los Angeles. It's easily accessible and parking spaces are not cramped. Being in the entertainment business, I strongly value the history and artistry of the movie business. I used to work at a theater for 6 years and therefore watch movies religiously. AMC and the staff always accomadates and rarely disappoints. Everytime I go to this location I get a history check of the posters of past projects on the walls before I watch a movie. This gets me excited! My experience at this location always provides me with everything I need in a movie going experience. I am beyond thankful. read more

I was watching the end of a moving film (Banshees of Inisherin) today, and three minutes before the end, the exit doors get kicked open and three employees come traipsing in with their brooms and dustpans knocking around. If that wasn't enough, they decided to hang back at the hallway and have a full on conversation while we were trying to enjoy the movie. This seems to be a habit of other theater employees too, and it needs to stop. It destroys the experience. No discounts at the Concession stand No by-pass lines at said Concession stand No fun trivia in between the movies No Posters Lines were long but the Cashier's did their best to keep up with the amount of people were there. We went outside to the restaurants and bought real food. I still am at a wonder as to why AMC doesn't partner with someone to offer better food during this event.
