I was very excited to go indulge myself in the new Project Hail Mary. We went an hour early to have ample time to get snacks and pick our seats. The lady we bought our tickets from was causing trouble from the beginning. She gives you trouble about our payment knowing we only had cash and waiting until we pull it out to inform us about their "no cash policy". We quickly fixed the problem and payed. She told us that we would be in theatre 3. We get into the movie theatre and notice it was empty. I thought it was strange as the movie was supposed to start in 10 minutes. After an hour of waiting the movie starts. It starts by showing animated character animals. We were clearly in the wrong movie theatre even though we went to the one she told us. We missed half of the movie and had no idea what was going on. Very, very disappointing and poor performance from the employees. read more

Went to watch a movie as I had a voucher which had been sitting in my purse for a while. Bad Boys: Ride or Die was my choice. Went at the start time after parking in the private lot. They have EV chargers in their lot. Asked the attendant if I could still get a ticket and he said yes. I selected my seat and he told me that there was no one in the screening room yet. Yay for me. I grabbed some water from the beverage machine and headed in. I sat in the row I chose but in the middle seat. I did watch the whole movie by myself and it was amazing. Except for the part when they previewed Smile 2 and there were weird noises in the screening room afterwards. Or I might have imagined it :) but it was fabulous to relax and laugh out loud and not worry about people being bothered by me. Used the restroom after and it was decent. Will be going back for another movie night. read more

After all this incompetence my movie had already started and i wanted food still, i then waited 10 minutes for service. Do better! read more

It's clean movie theater! My kids love coming here as they have an arcade!!! The loss is on my end due to costs and claw machines ca get pricey. The theater has plenty of stalls on the bathroom-- they food selection is what you would expect. Overall good neighborhood theater read more

Visited this location to meet a friend and her kiddos for the movie Wish. We purchased our tickets online so we didn't have to wait in line to pay. They had friendly service at the concession area and the theaters were clean. We enjoyed the movie and this location is very convenient with lots of parking. Only note is that the restrooms really need more attention. It was not very clean and out of soap in a few dispensers. I try to tell staff when this happens but there really wasn't anyone around except at the concession area. read more

The stench was terrible in theater #4. Smelled like a rank, muggy mix between grease and vomit. The seats were gross and worn out, spills and stains on the floor, the screen was off and only the audio was playing. Sat there for 15 minutes while they turned the projector back on and had missed all the trailers. When the screen was turned back on, it was way too dim and dark. And there was talking and whispering during the movie as well. Not a good experience. read more

Bought A-list for my girlfriend who left me 3 days after purchasing. I canceled and then was charged $46. After contacting their customer service, they would not help me out and refund the charges when i never used them. Will never go back to AMC. read more

After 2 years of not going to the Movies because of Covid, I was ready to take my family of 4 back to the theater. I was appalled at the lack of cleanliness in the theater. I would have though with all stores being on heightened alert with sanitation this location would have been trying to make people want to come back, but they just lost a customer for life. That and the $100 price tag for a family of 4 to see Sing 2 and get 3 drinks and a pop corn, is just unacceptable. The movie was supposed to start at 7:00 PM but did not start until 7:25 due to all the adds before the movie. Ladies and gentleman, you are witnessing the death of a business. Covid put AMC profits in negative territory and on life support. You would think the management team at this location would be fighting to make it a good experience but no. I give this location 2 more years and predict they close their doors for good in 2023. read more

Pretty clean imo with good service with a couple "big" theaters for prime movies. Downside is no dolby, imax, or recliners. Just plain digital theatres. Also one time the movie sound was very quiet, but got it turned up after a bit. Just weird that the sound volume would be low if its the same showing over and over. But usually the movie experience is all good. Would definitely be huge if they remodeled the theaters to new seats, speakers, projectors etc. read more

Decided to see Cocaine Bear at the AMC Castle Rock 12 the other day. Service at the concession stand was slow, unorganized and the cashier seemed miserable. The theater was dirty with trash from the last showing still in the seats. This location also seems very dated, with old school seating that looked dirty and dingy and was not very comfortable (no recliners here folks). read more

I went online to purchase tickets for a show that starts in three hours and looks empty. The tickets came to $15.78, but they then tried to introduce a $3.98 "convenience fee." That is more than 25%. I buy things online all the time with no additional fee - I am in fact saving them the hassle and expense of having to pay staff to sell me the ticket at the theater (so from my perspective the convenience is on their side - they know that the ticket is already sold and it is easier for them to process.) TicketMaster might think it can charge crazy fees for 'convenience' that accounts to a monopoly. I do not see that AMC can manage the same. Be good to your clients and don't try to rip them off with added and misnamed fees. read more

This theatre has always been good to us - clean, nice employees, always seems organized...BUT good lord the concessions are ridiculous at this point! Last weekend we spent $90 (I'm not joking) for 2 small popcorns, 2 nachos, 2 ICEES and 1 pretzel bite. And come on AMC Castle Rock, maybe you can put some of that budget towards Reclining Chairs..the seats you have now feel as comfy as folding chairs on Bingo night. read more

I went in there today to pre-purchase tickets for Frozen 2 for several people. The General Manager Samantha (and another manager-Isaac) were SO very helpful! They went above and beyond to help me! They truly made my experience there today 5star! I will definitely be back, and will bring friends too! Great job guys! You really made me feel valued and important. Also, they let me know of some super great group deals they do! So if you want to take a bunch of people to the movies....like over 75, they have some really good deals on tickets, as well as renting our entire theaters for a great price! 'Manager' Joshua just loudly pulled my family out of the AMC Castle Rock theatre that his employee instructed us to go to, AFTER showing him our paid tickets. Completely embarrassing situation that was handled poorly by staff. Joshua was extremely rude to us and should not be in Customer Service. read more

I've seen 3 movies at this theater mainly because it is one of the closest ones to where I live. It is an average theater but everytime I come here something has left me disappointed and opting to drive further to chose a different theater with assigned seating. The one thing I like about this theater is that they have one of those Coke machienes that allow you to pick various drink types and get your own refills. The first two times I went were on weekend evenings and the lines were long. If you don't get there early enough it is hard to find a decent seat. If you want to get concessions and you aren't early or don't have people saving you a seat you will likley have a bad seat. That is unless you decide to spend extra money for their elite "Stubs" membership but people are starting to figure that out now. The last time I went, I picked a movie really late on a Saturday night to hopefully avoid the crowds (past 10pm). That avoided the lines and I finally thought I was going to have a nice relaxing experience but then my wife found a hole in the middle of the screen (theater 9) and once I noticed it it kinda bothered me throughout the entire movie. If the staff weren't so nice and polite I might have rated this theater lower. read more

Moved to The Meadows May '16. As a family, and on date nights, we have been to dozens of movies here. The last 3 movies we've been to have resulted in the following: 01/07: Jumanji. Showed up at start time with 3 of us. Had to leave because there were no seats. In fairness, AMC refunded us. 01/13: The Post. My wife and I were sitting in the front row of the upper seats. 90% of the seats in front tier were empty. A family of 3 felt they needed to squeeze in between my wife (I was on the aisle) and another couple 3 seats down. This family showed up after the movie had started. 01/27: Darkest Hour. In the lower section of the theatre a squabble happened between 2 couples. One couple already preoccupying the aisle and seat #2. Another couple came in during previews and tried to sit beside them. The couple already posted in the seats made it clear the seats were taken because she "had her hand on the chair". The couple who were looking for seats chirped back but could not hear that. Common denominator ... this theatre NEEDS reserved seating...soon!!! You're not keeping up with the growth of Castle Rock. Not to mention improvement of seats and cleanliness of restrooms but one thing at a time. read more

Worst experience at a movie theater! From the start of walking into a dirty concession area (granted it was a weekend). There was popcorn everywhere and the floors were sticky! We got a large popcorn combo and drink. It came to $28! In getting the receipt we noticed they charged us for a popcorn tin?!? He had accidentally charged us for something he was looking up a price for? Collectors tin we did not order or get! Then we went to get butter and ice. One side was completely out if ice and so we went to the opposite side. When we got to our seat, that was the old hard theater seats(we have bern spoiled with recliners at other theater), we noticed popcorn smelled strange. Later that night we knew why as we took turns being sick in restroom. We called to warn the theater. The person I spoke with simply said they were sorry and would look into it. The other part of our group that did not eat butter were fine. We will not be back. Would rather take the time to drive to another theater. Too bad, we were so excited to have them open in Castle Rock! read more

Definitely the dirtiest theater I've ever been in. The kids working here spent all of 5 minutes cleaning up after the last movie and not much was done. Would have been a much better experience if I wasn't worried about what I was stepping or sitting on. read more

Good AMC for a small town vibe. They have some cheap morning matinee ticket prices, which I personally liked quite a bit. Also $5 Ticket Tuesdays! The theater itself and restrooms are quite clean when I have been there. The staff are majority of younger employees, who did seem quite friendly and helpful when approached. (At least this town is actually giving high schoolers their first job experience!) Which is an "A+." Just taking a lower rating only due to the company not realizing this area of Castle Rock is growing. (It worked perfectly when this was a small town, but soon enough it's going to be considered a city) AMC does need to renovate this theater. read more

BY FAR THE BEST EXPERIENCE IVE HAD AT AMC THEATER 12! HERE'S WHY! I went to go see top gun for the 5th time and this was by far the best service we have ever had. A very nice young employee named Ainsley made our experience so much better and more professional than any of our past visits. I was very impressed by the kindness she showed us, and her work etiquette. She was so sweet, kind, and helped create a much better movie experience. We went last night. This theater is so disgusting! It's Extremely dirty! One of the dirtiest I've been to. The seats are filthy and broken. The floor was sticky and full of other peoples trash. They did not clean the theater before the next showing. Also, we bought a bag of popcorn, it was only 3/4 full. Half the bag was popcorn crumbs. Went to get a drink... no ice in the soda machine. Went to see Frozen II on Black Friday with our granddaughter. They did not have enough staff for the business on that day. We waited in line for popcorn and drinks, while waiting the helper behind the counter kept saying "this is the busiest day of the year for us" and I thought why are there not more employees then? The floors were completely filthy and the counter tops were disgusting with spilled fluids and food. The bathrooms were a mess. The seating was okay once we got in. They play the sound way to loud, our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter kept plugging her ears because the movie trailers noise was too loud. She did enjoy the movie once it played. read more
