This place used to be my favorite. I always park in the parking garage behind the theater, because I know I can get my parking validated. I don't want to be paying more than my movie ticket for parking. Last night I saw Deadpool, when I left I validated my pass and so did my friend. I went to drive through gate and the ticket said I owed $12!!! That's more than my movie ticket, for parking. So I went back inside and the girl said it wasn't validated and opened the machine and shoved it in to get "validated" it didn't look right to me. But oh well. Then I left to try again and of course it didn't work. So I went back in..because why am I going to pay more than a ticket price for parking? The guy at the counter was no helpful at all when I told him this is the second time I've came back for this validation not working. He was condescending, said "there isn't much I can do for you, you are just going to have to pay it....I mean if you want I can go grab my pass." And I know what you are thinking, yes he offered that...but it was in a very rude tone, why would I want to wait and walk with someone that is rude to me. I am a manager and I think he is too. The situation could have been handle differently. I just feel people need to know that if their machine messes up. (Everyone else ticket around me got validated and they parked and went to the same movie I did) they are going to have to pay $12 for parking and no one is going to be able to help them!! I'm a huge fan of AMC theaters and my Wife, daughter and I watched a movie there last night. This theater brings back memories from 23 years ago when it was a Harkins theater. The chairs are awesome and fully recline electronically. The theater is a two story theater with escalators, stairs and the obligatory elevator (Lift). This AMC like others has the new Coke machines that allow you to be your own chemist. My two gripes are, the number of rude and foul speaking college students (watch your language) and the theater doesn't provide concessions on the second floor, although they do have a couple of the awesome Coke machines upstairs. This theater is pure nostalgia for me and I love it. Mill Ave north of university was the place to be in the late 80's through 1995. read more

Our new favorite movie theatre since the one by me closed while it was being renovated to a new dine-in concept. The prices are super reasonable considering that you get to pick your seats and they recline. Much cheaper than Esplanade or iPic. Consider getting the AMC Stubs if you go often to save money and earn rewards. They validate for parking too. For food I've had the churros and chicken tenders, all delicious! read more

I love this theater! Everything is new and clean, facilities well-maintained. The actual viewing rooms are spacious and have super comfy reclining chairs. And the staff!! THEY ROCK! They're attentive and really friendly. I was banging on about a particular snack that I loved and out of nowhere someone popped up with a coupon. What great customer service! ya know, everything was perfect. the staff, the food. EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE SODA/SLUSHY MACHINE(s). What is this? McDonalds? Do you know how hard i had to press the screen to choose a drink on your machines? VERY HARD. When I go to the movies I expect the drinks to be up to par. The Sprite tasted like fruity loops & the coca cola tasted like flat pepsi. Wtf is that all about? I know drinks might not be at the top of your priorities at the Movie Theaters, but when I sit down and taste garbage dog shit coming out of my straw, it makes me not wanna come back to your place. All i'm asking is you stay on top of that. It's the little things that matter. Finally a clean movie theater ! I really hope it stays clean, somewhat quite and comfortable ! Seats are wonderful. Bathrooms were spotless . The only downfall : parking. Pretty pricey parking garage near theater.. but beats driving around forever to find something decent . But that's Tempe for yah ! Bring exact change or charge to ur credit card. $12 for two hours. Wow. My first time coming here and im wowed. My mom and I got to pick our seats. The recliners were amazing. Not to mention the leg room compared to the harkins I usually go to where you have to squeez through and over people. I saw jurassic world. Great theater and staff. Fandango wouldnt help me out when I had a blowout and couldn't make my movie on time. Got there to see Star Wars with my son and its 45 minutes into the movie and the employee said don't worry we will get you into the next one which was sweet. Seating is so comfortable that I will not go to another theater with regular seats, the recliners are awesome! No complaints! read more

I haven't been to this place in years (since they remodeled it), but a bunch of gal friends and I went on Saturday. It was awesome! They food stand had great choices and I loved how they had drink refill stations upstairs too! The seats are very comfortable and the middle arm rest goes up. It wasn't too expensive compared to other movies. I don't know if I will ever go to a movie theater that is not a luxury theater ever again. I will for sure be back. read more

Best theater in town!!! They have the recliner seats that are assigned seating. I am guilty of falling asleep in these comfy and cozy seats. Handicap seats are also really nice and reserved for people who need them. There are elevators so the facility is very accessible for everyone. The entire facility including bathrooms are super clean. Perfect location for getting dinner and beers before relaxing in a recliner and enjoying a movie. Great for date night location as well as family outings. The loyalty program, AMC Stubs card, is worth the $12 a year. Every $100 you get $10 rewards. Use the loyalty card when buying tickets on their website or App because this waives the ticketing fees. The AMC Stubs card can also be used when purchasing food and drinks at the concession stand. The selection of food and drink at the concession stand is great. The soda machines are the Coca Cola touch screen machines. Love that they have the diet soda and caffeine free drinks available! The employees are also extremely friendly and make going to the movies an even better experience!!! read more

Amc is my favorite theatre to go to because of the amazing seats that recline and great movie theaters . Today, I purchased my tickets a couple hours before getting to the theatre and did so online but unfortunately wasn't able to make it on time due to prior engagements(work). I got to the theatre maybe 20 minutes late and I'm the type of person that absolutely HATES to walk into a movie late so I friendly asked if there was other times that I can get a ticket instead of getting a refund and unfortunately the only other time that they have didn't suit me (because I had to go back to work ). The gentlemen at the desk was very nice and respectful and understood so he told me that he can give me 2 movie passes which was perfect because they had a showing at another amc that suited my needs just perfect . Right as he was about to go get the tickets his manager , a female that I'm no sure on her name because she wasn't wearing a name tag ( how professional) intruded and asked what she can help me with . I didn't say anything because I already explained myself to the gentleman so he told her and she said " we can only refund you and not give you tickets" I kindly asked for the movie tickets because I was going to go the other amc at Mesa grand anyway and didn't care about the money and she said no in the most rude fashion and repeated she can only refund me so I kindly agreed to get a refund . As she gave me a refund I left and looked at the refund ticket when I was outside and realized that it was 4 dollars less then I originally payed for it . I turned around furious but composed and walked back into the theatre and kindly asked for the rest of my refund and she told me that that simply wasn't possible because there was a convenience fee to buy the tickets online and didn't know which vendor I purchased the tickets thru , I told her I actually bought them DIRECTLY off the amc website. Again she told me there's nothing she can do in the most rudeeeee fashion I've ever SEEEENNN and I said if it was possible to give me some sort of voucher for anything to make up for it and she said she couldn't because it's not " company policy ." I asked her if she gets free vouchers and movie tickets and she said of course she does because she's employed by the company so I kindly told her that " I'm a paying customer why can't I be compensated especially after I didn't get a full refund " and she simply didn't say anything . It just really annoyed me because I was going to another theatre and didn't want to have to pay EXTRA for the same exact tickets, it's not about the money for me ; it's simply all about principle( Something she knows absolutely nothing about .) Writing reviews is not something I usually do or care to do but I was so and AM STILL SOO frustrated and irritated that I HAD to let the world know how bad I was treated by this manager . I watch at least 2-3 movies a week at amc and this put a sour taste in my mouth about continuing to go to amc, I might even start going to Harkins !!!Never ever ever ever again will I go to mill ave amc in order to watch a movie after the disrespect and lies that were said to me by the "so called" manager. read more

This is a great theater in the downtown area of Tempe. The chairs were awesome. I almost wanted to stay after the movie to take a nap. The staff was helpful and the theater was clean and inviting. The sound in the theaters was great and it made me jump at times, which is always a great sign of a good movie theater. The prices were also very fairly priced for a new release. read more

The theater was very nice and the luxury recliners were great. Saw the Real 3D version of The Jungle Book. But...the theater allowed someone to bring an infant into the theater which proceeded to cry through half the movie. I'm amazed that management would let an infant into a theater where paying guests expect a special experience. Please stop allowing people to bring infants into a theater where guests expect to have an uninterrupted experience!!!!! read more

I wish they went all the way and made it like the amc at esplanade and servers and more space between chairs. I live in east valley so this is great alternative if I can't make it to Phoenix. Saw a movie in 3D. The seats were beyond comfy as they are roomy and recline. All seats are pre-assigned and there is not a bad seat in the the theater. The sound level was perfect and the picture quality was awesome. read more

Generally I've not been an AMC fan...HOWEVER, Centerpoint changed my mind!! The seats are SO comfortable, and the location makes it easy to check out new places to eat. By far the best AMC I've been to. The pre selected seating arrangement is pretty handy although as some reviews have mentioned it can fill up fast on busy days. Extremely angry. Decided to make the 30 minute drive over here because we wanted to have the luxury of recliners. We made a date night out of it and decided to have dinner at a local pizza spot. Everything was going very well until we arrived at this theater. I forgot my ID and we were trying to watch Bad Mom's Christmas 2. We walk up to scan our tickets and they decided to card us. So first of all, my friend had her ID, but because she wasn't 21 she wasn't allowed to get me in which apparently is a thing, mind you im 21. So we stepped out to try to figure out what to do. I decided to pull up some of my information from school which had my picture, my name, and my birthday online. I go back in and ask to speak to the manager to see if they will accept this. She decided to talk to us from behind 2-3 other people and not even directly to us. She rudely tells us it has to be physical, it can't be online, but she will refund us. Look I understand I forgot my ID and that is completely my fault, but come on it's a movie why be so harsh? Anyways, luckily they refunded us, we left and I accept that this was my fault for forgetting my ID. WELL THAT'S NOT EVEN THE WORST PART! We decide to give it another shot the next night because we really wanted to see this movie. I ensure I have my ID this time. Well, we get up to scan our tickets and the employee doesn't even card us this time. Completely wasted our time the first night and I'm so incredibly angry/frustrated now. So what's the policy??? They only card when they feel like it? They ruined a night that was going perfectly well for no apparent reason. Won't bother making the drive out in the future. read more

Wow what a beautiful place. Nice comfy seating in a very cozy small theatre. There wasn't any regular seating that wasn't so close to the screen so they gave us the two handicap seat in back. The theatre wasn't full otherwise we were told to give our seats up if it was needed. No problem. We were so comfortable that we forgot we were in a theatre and snuggled right together. The only reason we would only make this a occasional special occasion is the price which was $15 a piece. We didn't want get any snack because after paying $30 we just figured it would be way to expensive. read more
