Went to see Depeche Mode | M in IMAX. The theater was clean, and the concession staff were friendly and helpful, so no complaints there. Unfortunately, the "premium" IMAX audio experience just wasn't there. This is a concert film, so I didn't mind paying extra for the presentation. But everything below about 80hz was missing--no bass punch, no low-end rumble, nothing. The movie even showed bass drums visibly shaking on screen, but there was no sound to match it. I double-checked with a spectrum analyzer app just to be sure. It sounded the same in the lobby as it did in my seat. I ended up leaving early. After reading positive reviews from other parts of the country praising the "amazing sound quality," I feel like I definitely didn't get the experience I paid for. If the audio isn't fixed, I can't recommend seeing it in IMAX at this location. read more

Came for Superman in IMAX matinee. Seat H13 is BROKEN. Seats are uncomfortable and small as heck - br prepared to rub shoulders with the people next to you. Focus seems just a bit off and not vibrant - at least during the previews. The entry area is nice, although small and I can see it'd be crowded as heck for regular movie times. I can't imagine what it'll look like tonight for evening showings opening night. Just moved here - but I'm going to look for another IMAX for Fantastic Four: First Steps. read more

The website states a bar and restaurant. Neither were open nor available.The chairs are all worn out. Absolutely horrible place. The website is misleading. This needs to be updated. Went to go see Furiosa 5/24/24 in IMAX, the screen was blurry and there was horrible green/pink chromatic aberration throughout the entire film that ranged from somewhat distracting to incredibly annoying. You are the custodians of the biggest screen in central arkansas, I really wish you would make an effort for that screen to not look like shit. Most of the theaters in Little Rock have messed up, torn, reflective screens and blurry never-serviced projectors, wouldn't you like to stand out, AMC? Even though it's 30 minutes away from me, I used to go to the AMC make sure I'd have a good experience. I'm sorry, this place deserves a bad review. I remember watching Dark Knight and that memory will always be in my head. The awe I got when I walked in to the imax and seeing this huge screen. I waited an hour in line (before online reserved seating) to get the perfect seat. Now...the seats are terrible! Cracked, broken, chairs without arms, which means no cup holder. I don't care that they don't recline, but it's now completely trashy. I emailed AMC, but no response. There has been a collective of problems, and each one I've addressed with staff but it keeps happening. House lights still on while the movie is playing (The Flash), it took someone in the audience to walk out 10 mins into the movie. Lack of cleaning in restrooms and stocking up on materials. This place is suppose to be an upper scale theater. It's gone so downhill , it reminds me of the $1 theater back in the 90s in NLR. The imax theater needs some attention. I live 10 mins from it, it's the only imax in town, and I truly loved this theater. Please update and fix. read more

Seats with the best views in the imax theater are all literally falling apart. Seats slit apart at the front with chunks of foam missing and arm rests either broken or missing entirely. One of the movies audio quality was muffled. I went to guest services to let them now and they said they will "try" to fix it. But they did not offer the idea of refunds, but I decided to watch the movie so I don't waste money. I could understand some of the dialogue. When the movie was finished, it was then I was told of the refunds from guest services and I had to talk to corporate. I bit the bullet and walked out. Be careful of faulty movies and just walk out for your refund. Wasted money because of miscommunication. read more

My husband and I went to see Captain Marvel tonight. The movie was great a little more than half way through. Then the movie screen messed up and went black. For about a minute. The speakers kept popping during the movie. I will not be returning to this theater. Also, the POORLY LIT bathroom was disgusting and out of repair. read more

We paid $20 per ticket to go see Oppenheimer in IMax today, we both had never seen a movie in this theater before. Honestly we both were expecting pretty nice seats and just a generally great experience for the price we were paying. The seats in the IMax theater here are about the size of airplane seats, with little to no leg room, and you have to lean your entire body back to be able to recline at all. We were very uncomfortable for the entire 3 hour long movie. Continuing on to this, their drink machine was out and they only had water, bottled juice and chocolate milk, the water I got was only a child size. In my opinion if all you're offering from the drink fountain is water, you should be able to be given a larger size. read more

This was my first time going to an IMAX theater and all I have ever heard about an IMAX is that it was so much better than a regular theater. I took my son to see End Game and we were excited when we walked in and seen the big IMAX signs at the entrance to the theater. When we both left we were both left asking the question "Well, what was different?" I guess the rating is just disappointment that it wasn't any different than a regular theater. Surprisingly, this theater is relatively unpopular since it reopened under the AMC label back in May 2018, but that's OK with me! More seats to choose from and less distractions. I bought tickets to see Uncharted in IMAX, for the 2-24-22 7:30 pm showing. I get up today, and check the website... it says the theater is closed! When I go request a refund, the website indicates the theater is closed, and the refund process won't go any further. The website also directs users to contact support through Facebook, but when I attempt to do that, I get a message that says the page is down. So I call the 888# and I get a recording saying that AMC is unable to provide phone support!?!? What is going on??? On top of that, I drove 88 miles round trip yesterday, only to find the theater closed with no signs indicating so on the windows or on the website! If the theater was closed, why didn't the website indicate that before allowing me to buy tickets? This experience has been the most ridiculous thing I ever encountered as a moviegoer. When you buy tickets online, you have to agree to AMC'S terms and conditions. One of which states that you cannot get a refund after the posted showtime. But now because a single theater is closed, it won't allow the refund process to happen on the website? This is ridiculous! read more

Awesome theater, great comfortable seats that lean back, the IMAX 3D was super epic. The interior was crap for an IMAX theater, and the rude ticket guy must have a had a ROUGH day because he instantly killed the fun I was having. Not many decorations or theming for the theater, and the drink/food selection was subpar to a normal IMAX theater I'm use to. I'll def be back since IMAX 3D is only way to go, however they are lacking on the other departments. read more

I recently encountered a problem at the Little Rock, AR (Chenal 9) location. I was recently given a gift card to the theatre and decided to take my son to the movies. I used my gift card to purchase two tickets and was then told I had $15 remaining. I proceeded to the concessions to use the remaining $15 balance. Much to my surprise, the concession associate said something was wrong and blamed it on the slow systems. He proceeded to tell me how bad the registers were and that he couldn't wait until the new ones were installed. They tried running the card several times and one of the associates went to get the manager on duty. He walked up and swiped my card and told me there was nothing on my card. I relayed to him that the cashier said I had $15 remaining. He then took my card and disappeared. He returned to again tell me I was wrong without saying there must be a mistake or apologizing for the inconvenience. He then walked back to the ticket area with my card. I followed him to ask for my gift card back. The manager again proceeded to tell me he showed no balance and he said the card had never been used or loaded even though I told him that is how I paid for my tickets. Frankly, I was embarrassed and mad. To have the manager argue with me and suggest that I was lying by saying the card was never loaded was embarrassing to happen in front of my eight year old son. I would definitely suggest some coaching and training your associates on not discussing their displeasure of the equipment with the customer. Also, management needs some serious help in customer service training when problems arise. I'll stick with The Rave and Breckenridge Theatres moving forwards until this place can get it's act together. read more

In general, this is a good small movie theater. It has the only IMAX in Little Rock. The lines are usually short except for shows after 4:00. You need to get tickets early, especially for IMAX shows. The long line for nighttime IMAX shows seems a little ridiculous for the size of theater. Each theater is clean. The wait for popcorn can be long as there are not many employees behind the counter. Purchasing tickets could be easier if the automated ticket machine worked. Each time I try hoping it has been fixed, but no such luck. Parking is adjacent to the theater. It is not terrible but expect to walk a bit so allow a little extra time. There will be free kid movies on Tuesday afternoons during the summer (summer 2013). read more

Ok, so we just left Panera Bread on Kanis. Had waaaayyyy too much tea on free refills so I had to use the bathroom before the movie starts. ALL stalls were empty on seat covers. It smelled pissy, seats were pissy, floor was pissy. I would understand if it was opening weekend for a popular box office movie...it was 10:15AM...no opening for anything. This used to be the nicest theater in Little Rock. Seems to be having major management problems. All the credit card kiosks are gone, so if you paid in advance, you're still going to be waiting in line for the ticket window. Common areas were visibly dirty. Staff, while numerous, seemed overwhelmed by a small volume of customers. Concessions was running low on supplies and folks were waiting 10 minutes for popcorn to be ready. Unless you're seeing something on their big IMAX screen, I suggest going to Breckenridge. read more

In Little Rock most weekends (from New Orleans) to visit family getting chemo at UAMS. This has turned out to be a wonderful city with great people and lots of shopping, things to do, and it's a surprisingly vibrant and cosmopolitan city. I'd move here if I could. Now to the review: I don't normally like to single out unexceptional people, but I'll start this review with that. On arriving to watch Deepwater Horizon at 1:40, my dearly beloved and I walked up to the window to get out tickets. The guy on the other side of the glass, Joshua, looked up and turned back to counting money in the register. 20s, 10s, 5s, and finally, the 1s. Not a word, not an acknowledgement, not a " be with you in a moment". Just counting money while we stood there waiting. When he was done, he looked up and acted as though this was completely normal and asked if he could help us. He was perfunctory and handled the transaction, closing with, "enjoy the magic of the movies." Sheesh. I'd have enjoyed the magic of him acting like a human being. So to the theater, it's nice overall if a little less than spotless. The rest of the staff were very nice to us so no issues and this is not a universal thing here. We saw the Imax version of the movie and the theater was large, stadium style with wide aisles and lots of leg room. Also lots of arm room to spread out. My one complaint is that the seats tilt back pretty far which, for me, is a bit of an issue. I have lower back problems and being able to sit forward is better for me. Still though, the seats are generous and overall comfortable. I was concerned about the quality of the movie rendering because the previews were dark and unpleasant to watch. My concerns were misplaced. The previews and ads were not Imax and so the quality was poor. But the movie? Wow! The screen fills your field of vision and the audio was outstanding. And the theater was cold. I like that. My sweetie doesn't so I rubbed her arms a lot. :-) I'd go back there but I hope they take a moment to read this review and talk with their employee about hospitality and prompt guest recognition. read more

I love the nachos at this theater. Unfortunately every time I go the cheese isn't warm. It's cold. I don't want to eat nachos with lukewarm to cool cheese. There is a drawer that warms the cheese, I think it's broken. Please fix that drawer so the cheese can be warm or even hot. read more

This has to be the nastiest theater I've ever seen. I'm aware Thanksgiving night is an extremely busy night for movie goers and the employees, but this is definitely 2 days worth of filth. If I could give zero stars, I would. I've given the new remodel two tries and that's two too many--I will not be back. Things to note: they spent months remodeling, but the IMAX is still the same yucky seats it used to have, nothing new there even though they are marketing it like it's new and improved. They added a swanky looking bar area if you are inclined to pay triple to get drunk during your flick. And they added "reclining" chairs that are slightly nicer than old theater seating--but the catch here is theirs work with an electric pad and they only go back a small amount, then automatically stop. My husband and I both separately came to the conclusion that the angle the chair has your legs at is awkward at best, downright uncomfortable at worst. I much prefer the true big recliners at Breckinridge (which is my go to theater in this town). But seating is fairly trivial--let's get to the two deal breakers: 1.) the place is understaffed and downright FILTHY. The button you have to push to move your chair is greasy and disgustingly covered in fingerprints--I wanted to dip my hand in bleach after adjusting my chair (which was also full of popcorn and grease from a previous guest). My cup holder had about 1/2 inch of water in it! The bathrooms were like a lab experiment gone wrong. For such a big "newly remodeled" facility in a very upscale center and neighborhood this is UNACCEPTABLE. Gross. 2.) The theater does a weekly/daily/monthly showing for the local deaf community--with captions on. Totally commendable! BUT YOU MUST DISCLOSE THIS ONLINE WHEN YOU SELL TICKETS. I have used Fandango for YEARS and never had this issue until this theater! We bought 6 tickets for our family and did NOT want captions on, yet were given zero notice of it until we arrived for our show. The manager was polite, but blamed it on Fandango. I'm sorry--the buck starts and stops with YOUR THEATER. I can never buy tickets again if I can't trust my show won't have subtitled captions. You need to work that out with Fandango--that is not the customers burden to address. So there you have it! If you want to brave filth and possible caption roulette, head to this theater! Otherwise, hit up Breckenridge or The Tavern! read more

When I went in to speak to the general manager of the theater, he arrogantly informed me that he was the only manager unless I wanted to drive to Kansas City Missouri to speak with someone. He did not seem concerned about my financial issues in any way. As a matter of fact, Austin V alters proceeded to to ask me what he could do to make it better. There are better places in Little Rock to see movies. Please go elsewhere. AMC Chenal 9. The first self service kiosk wasn't functioning. We went to a second and inquired with an employee about how it worked. The response was, "I don't know." We managed to get our tickets and finger print clad IMAX glasses and made our way to the theater. I'm not sure what was remodeled during the extended time the theatre was closed but the IMAX theater has well worn seats, cracked upholstery on the arm rests, and reclining seats that are displaced in their mounts requiring replacement. My wife went to get a drink at the bar before our 12:30 PM movie. Apparently the bar is closed. The nearby employee reported the bar will open, "at 2:00 PM OR 4:00 PM, I don't know when it opens". The wife went into the women's restroom and reported it was filthy. Unfortunately we wasted money for a year membership to the AMC program. We won't be using it again. read more

The actual theater is comfortable. The seating is well spaced out giving you enough room to get comfortable and see the screen from any seat. The draw back to the theater is that they play the sound so loud your ears ring afterwards (I've seen several movies here in different theaters) and at some points the sound actually hurts! The other major drawback is that the popcorn sucks!! They do not have salt for your popcorn, at all! Seriously, what self respecting popcorn concession stand does not have salt?!?!? read more
