Went to see "Epic" over the weekend. Others than finding a parking space it was an great experience and a awesome movie!!!

Our first visit to an AMC theater in years. We went to see Mama Mia with 2 friends for my birthday. First, the "check in" was slow..... The husband's told my girlfriend & me to go ahead into the movie while they bought bought popcorn & drinks. We didn't think that our husband's would ever come into the theatet! Took over 30 minutes! Apparently, if you are a member of the AMC Movie Club, you get waited on first, regardless of how many other people are in line & how long they've been waiting. I understand the "VIP" idea BUT, when only 2 employees are working the concession, & the line of customers is growing longer, the people who have been waiting should NOT be made to wait even longer because 1 movie club member has arrived. At Harkins, the line forms, there are ALWAYS several employees at concession & the next person in line is waited on. I don't know if it's the management of this particular theater but, we will remain Harkins patrons. This experience was HORRIBLE! Our husband's missed the first half of the movie! And, no unsweetened iced tea, forcing one to order a soda or expensive bottles of water. Disappointment is an understatement. I WILL give the theater 5 stars for the seats! read more

Went here with my child on a day off. Besides the fact that it was raining and 55 degrees (which I love) it only added to the fact that it was a great day. The theater was clean and the staff was friendly as usual. Thor was a great movie and I was happy with my experience. Temp was right as well as sound during the movie. We had great seats and it wasn't that busy. I'm glad I waited out the rush and went mid week. I will return to this location most likely for the next release of the hobbit. Can't wait. read more

I am extremely unimpressed with the staff at this theatre. I purchased my tickets online for Star Wars opening weekend for an IMAX showing at 9am for myself and my son. We showed up at the theatre this morning at 8am, knowing there would be a line and we were probably the 15 and 16th people to arrive. The theatre wasn't open, so we stood outside in the cold talking with the others in line, including many families with small children. The line continued to grow towards the parking lot and quickly. At about 8:30, a staff member came out and moved us all to line up along the vacant ticket counter across the plaza from the ticket counter they usually open. Shortly after, they opened the ticket counter opposite us, and began selling tickets and letting those people walk in the door while the entire line continued to wait and stand in the cold. No one let us in, and once we realized people were skipping the line they had us formed, we all pushed forward to the theatre, where we again had to wait to use the kiosks to obtain our tickets, all the while, people who hadn't been waiting were let in before us. When I said something to the staff, they had no idea what they had done was in anyway wrong. They likely would have just let us sit out there. I was amazed that on opening weekend of such a major film, full well knowing they had people lined up, that they would mishandled this as poorly as they did. While this is the closest IMAX to my home, I will drive the extra few miles from now on to another for better service. read more

It's a movie theater but...it's an IMAX 3D theater! We went with some friends and saw Gravity here (really worth seeing this way BTW). This was the first theater/movie I remember waiting in line for but it wasn't bad. The staff were friendly and the theater is easy to get to. Since it's in a "strip mall" there are plenty of places to get food or drinks before or after the show. If I see another IMAX 3D movie, I'll definitely consider seeing it here. read more

I like it. The husband thinks the chairs aren't comfy and there isn't enough leg room compared to Harkins. I don't mind it.

My husband and I were on a date and we ordered food....we wanted for our order and the girl gave our order to some one else and even checking their receipt....we told the girl hey that was our order and she said oh I'll just make more and proceed to do something else! it's disgusting in here, DISGUSTING! just a quick pic of the drink station. not to mention i went through 6 restroom stalls before i found one that was decently clean and had toilet paper. looks like the restroom hasn't been cleaned in days, yet alone smells like poop. when i found my seat there was still left over popcorn from the last showing. obviously no one cares about this location, maybe it's the area who knows, but next time i'll rather make the drive to arrowheads amc because it's a lot cleaner and nicer read more

Outrageous prices at AMC's theater snack bars! A small popcorn and a small soda was $10.50. So what gives with that? Unreasonable prices. Granted I've not been to their snack bar for several months, but what happened here - I don't remember paying that much. My matinee admission was cheap enough, only 5 bucks. At Wildflower Bakery I had already paid less than 10 bucks for a sandwich and soda and that was good value for the money. But at AMC we're only talking theater snacks here, and small ones at that. No wonder the guy behind the counter didn't try to supersize my order. The price would have blown my mind. No complaints about the theater which seems to be clean and well maintained. But in the future I'll skip the snacks at AMC. read more

The reason I am giving 2 stars is for the recliners,thats why I go to relax an have a drink from the bar.Dont get a mix drink its a rip off, she said if I wanted top shelf I said yes.11 dollars so I waited about 10 min an went back for the same drink but not top shelf. The staff at the refreshment counter have given up all hope in life and have resigned themselves to being inept at their jobs and all aspects of their lives. Now I'm no fan of a late teen to start with, but when they look at you like you're stupid when you order an iced mocha, on the menu, then sigh when they have to make it, it makes e hate them all the more. The only complaints i have are nitpicking issues but this is the theater i go to 90% of the time because of the IMAX features. When entering its always clean, picture and sound are top-notch. The only problem i have is my favorite concession snack, the nachos, why can't they have the nachos like in Harkins where its not pre-packaged and its stuffed with sturdier, larger chips which includes 2 cheese cups already. read more

I do realize part of my problem was user error. I booked tickets for opening night of Beauty and the Beast. It was my mom's birthday and I wanted to get the reclining chairs and the food/drink service. Online it led me to believe I had gotten these accommodations but it was just regular chairs and not food service. We were disappointed and I felt bad because I wanted it to be a fun girls night for my mom. They do have an open bar where we were able to get one drink before the movie started. This theater really needs to step it up. I may just give up on AMC all together. Like other AMCs you do everything for yourself (butter your popcorn, get your soda fountain drinks, etc) yet you still pay a higher price for the concession items. Add to that the carpet in the theater is absolutely disgusting and they seem to be trying to save on their electric bill because the temperature in the theater was high. I asked them to lower it because it was warm in the theater but had to search around for an employee just to make the request. On top of the that the volume was blaring when they started the previews (searched again to ask someone to turn it down). Finally... The popcorn was far from fresh (when I finally did get an opportunity to try to enjoy it). I was tired of going in and out of the theater at that point so I just dealt with it and decided to never return to this location or possibly any other AMC.... Update: Movie got canceled because they couldn't get it to play. Had to stand in long lines to insist on getting my money back. They of course tried to say all they could do was offer gift cards but after going back and forth with them and waiting a ridiculous amount of time for them to figure out how to return my money they magically found a way to open the cash drawer and refund the full amount I had paid. read more

VERY disappointed with my recent experience here. There was a long line inside to get tickets on a Sunday afternoon with only two people at the window. Then waited in line just for cups for drinks for 15 minutes! Got into the theater as movie was starting and only seats left in the tiny auditorium (for a popular movie) were right up front. Don't waste your time and go to Harkins at Norterra. Never a bad experience there! read more

Ive gone here for years and its still a great theater to see movies. They do have 30 screens. But some of them are damn near the size of a closet. But the 4 colossus theaters they got are huge with plenty of leg room unlike some of the newer theaters. Good place to go see movies in IMAX too. Better than some of the others that offer it. The only gripe about AMC is they use to have the cheaper tickets and they use to have student discounts. But now they charge about $10 per person at night and weekends. Try to go during the week in the afternoon when its only $5 per person. read more

Very dirty and unkept. The remodel with the recliners is great. However the service of cleaning is subpar. There's trash on the carpet through all the walkways, black drink spills in the carpet, and the restroom.....would not suggest it. Not tended to. The new dyson hand dryers don't even work. Water all over the counters, trash all over the ground and every toilet stall was questionable & you end up saying forget it. read more

I usually go to amc arrowhead but this amc is also a good alternative. Love the fact that it's big and has a lot of theaters inside; moreover, it is surrounded by different food establishments. The staff are helpful as well. read more

Brutal. Horrendously understaffed. Line for regular concessions was 30+ people deep and had 1 cashier. Line for "Premier" had 5 people in line and 2 cashiers. Manager I spoke to could not have been more disinterested. Do yourself a favor and go to Harkins. read more

The bad: Loud low frequency hum on the sub-woofer in front of the screen. (120 Hz Ground loop?) "Movie" started a half hour late late. The good: Nice seats. (Although too easy to hit the recliner buttons.) I haven't been to a movie in 30 years. Decided to see Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest on a big screen. (Part of Turner Classic Movies promotion.) Now, frankly, you can buy this movie on Blu-Ray - and it's clear from what we saw at the theater that that's what they were playing for us. So, to start, the showtime was supposed to be 2:00 p.m. The movie didn't start until 2:30. When it finally started, we saw a Blu-Ray type menu and the operator Fast-Fowarded though the promotional garbage to get us to the TMC Introduction. I coulda done that at home and been on time. Once the movie started, everything was okay - except for that incessant hum coming from the sub-woofer. There were some motion artifacts from the digital conversion. Not terrible. I suppose it was unrealistic of me to expect to be watching old-fashioned film. (Hey, it's an old-fashioned movie ...) The theater was clean and the reclining seats were very nice. (Although I could have used a head rest.) This theater is set up so that no ones head will be in your way. Nice. The buttons to operate the power recliner mechanism were too easy to hit by accident. Nothing that can be done now. But I would have installed buttons that you have to pull, rather than push. If the movie had been on time and if there wasn't hum on the audio, I would give this theater 5 stars. But when I pay to watch a movie, I expect the professionals to be on time and I expect the professionals to set up a professional production. Unfortunately, this particular viewing was run by amateurs. read more

This theater is large and impressive. The shopping center it's located in is pretty nice, surrounded by places like Jamba Juice, Starbucks, and plenty of places to grab a quick bite. The staff is always pleasant and friendly, usually the guys taking your ticket inside will joke with you. The theaters themselves are all right; they can be a little dirty but I attribute this to jerk movie-watchers who make messes. I have had their popcorn once, and I'm just going to be honest here: I had to leave the movie and visit the bathroom where I had a butt explosion. It could have been what I was watching (Twilight) but another person I know got sick here too. So avoid the popcorn and you're good to go! read more

It is amazing that they spend all this money to create a better theatre. Then the prices get raised, the customer service is non existent (kiosks everywhere, but not people). Now they do not run the air conditioning, the screen in theatre 16 has an obvious blemish which causes white marks during movie playing. The smell in the theatre is of body odor due to lack of air circulation. The restrooms are clean. read more

Nice AMC here. You walk in through the doors to purchase tickets. The ticket place out in front is no longer being used, I guess. I was kind of bummed that they didn't clean the theater before our showing last night. We had to walk through an aisle of popcorn on the floor which kind of sucked. Went to watch Furious 7 in IMAX and noticed that the screen isn't as clear and bright as others I've been to. It was not THAT noticeable though. I love the plaza the AMC is in. There are a bunch of restaurants and fast food joints you can choose from. I just wished a few were open during the late showings. Definitely will be back! read more

About 10 years ago, this theater was the best one in the area. Now, there is hardly anybody there when I go, which is fine by me cause I hate crowds. Service here is decent. Food is kind of pricy, but that's any movie theater. Plus, they have BIG movie screens which I like. Parking is kind of a pain though. read more

I gave 2 stars because I love AMC reclining seats. Usually go to Desertridge and always have a great experience. This location, however, is filthy! The carpets were stained and popcorn all over early on a Saturday- before the crowds. The womens restroom did not have one clean stall and was completely out of toliet paper!
