This theater has recently been revamped, and has nice leather reclining seats but some smaller theaters have uncomfortable upright ones. Dine-in is available in many theaters, but apparently it doesn't mean they'll come and take your order if it's a small theater without specifically calling them. Items I have ordered have been good, but if you're thirsty, don't wait. If you like movies, the A-list seems like a good deal. Also, the parking situation around the theater is horrid (come early) and the sidewalks to and from the theater are so uneven you could literally break a leg or your neck. At night, the sidewalk lights are not maintained (4 directly by the parking lot are out at last count), which is a huge safety concern for me. read more

Fun story - only a few of the theaters have food service, and it's not super easy to tell which ahead of time (it says on the marquee at the ticket counter). We were planning to eat here but ended up in a theater without food service. Then the concession line went all the way to the doors and took half an hour to get through - luckily we got there at 8:15 for an 8:40 movie so we only missed half the trailer while waiting for popcorn :\ Then I had to wait on the pizza my husband ordered and someone who had been behind me in line took my pizza and I had to wait extra long - since their idea of calling out orders is "Who had a pepperoni pizza?" sigh... The theater itself was fine - it's stadium seating obviously, but people walking along the front area still got in the way of the screen, and even people in front of us stretching with their arms up (but seriously, who does that??). We were about halfway up. The bathroom was a mess though, with about half the stalls either out of order or out of toilet paper. A soap dispenser was literally ripped from the wall and laying on the sink, and someone slapped an official AMC sanctioned sticker on it that said, "Houston, we have a problem!" You can't just put that sticker on something and say, well... that's probably good enough. -_- This was the closest theater showing the movie we wanted to see, but I've been to better theaters with dining service and certainly better theaters without. I'd rather drive out to Dallas for Alamo Drafthouse or just go to the nearby Cinemarks that deal with this place. read more

Do not be fooled by the "dine-in" title. This is a normal movie theater that allows the people sitting around you to have food delivered to their seat during the movie. The WHOLE movie. Paid good money to watch a movie in IMAX only to have to deal with the smell of buffalo chicken and the sound of crunchy nacho chips and people asking for ranch very loudly. The isles are much too small to be walking back and forth during the movie. Could not count the number of times I had to move to allow someone to walk through or readjust because someone ran into the back of my seat. The seats in the IMAX theater are wildly uncomfortable as well. They are deceiving at first because they are very padded, but they have two positions: straight up, and slightly leaned back with a bonus leg workout. I would rather sit in an airplane seat to watch a movie than those wretched red chairs again. I would love to find out if all of the theaters have the same chairs at this location, but I unfortunately will not be stopping by to find out. Hate leaving a review like this but I am very disappointed and wanted to warn others. Don't waste your money, wait until the movie is available on a streaming service or try a different theater. read more

Cleaner than most. Movie started on time. Sound and picture were good. Had a restaurant where you could order and take to your seat, but it's pricey! Came on Saturday for a matinee. Only one line open for concessions and the line was huge but only took about 20 min to get thru so i made it on time for the movie and didn't miss anything. Recommend! read more

TERRIBLE. Came in to see Spider-Man with my family and we knew in order to get food, you have to order it ahead of time for them to bring it to your seat. Why did our food not come out until the last 30 mins of the film? On top of that, why was was our food cold? Never doing it again. read more

It's been awhile since I've been to this theater. It's further out from where we live but it was the closest theater for the movie my bf wanted to see. Came here in the afternoon. Parking sucks because they (I'm assuming grapevine mills) offer valet in that area so most of the parking on the side of the theater is blocked off. The valet line was ridiculously long. We drove around for awhile before we found parking (thank goodness previews run long) The chairs here do not recline. I guess they have dine in option but I don't know if it's offered at a certain time and for certain shows. We just got popcorn and a drink. They don't offer any special seasonings like other theaters do. read more

I went to the AMC theatre in Grapevine to preorder tickets, they told me I could not enter without throwing out my water. I said I just wanted to order tickets for a later time of the day. When I returned, I had an empty water bottle. They would not allow me to keep the empty water bottle. Then when I asked for a free water at the counter, they refused to give me tap water. It was only 110 degrees today. So I was forced to purchase the $5.99 water bottle. No seats recline or updates on this theatre. As we were leaving, I walked in the restroom and a toilet overflowed and there were 3 employees mopping up. It wouldn't have been a problem, but there were male and female employees and I feel that even Walmart does a good job posting a sign that says visit another restroom while this one is being serviced. I prefer Moviehouse & Eatery in Flowermound, but I wanted to see Rocketman, and AMC Grapevine had the best time option for us. We were first to arrive for dine-in but last to have order taken, even after pressing button a few times. Finally server, who marinated in his nauseating cologne, took our order while previews were still running. We were 45 minutes into the movie and still no food. It was so irritating seeing people, who came in after us, get their food. We pressed button, nothing. So with previews and about 45 minutes of movie running time, it took almost an hour to get our food. When it finally arrived, it was so disappointing! I ordered the mac & cheese with bacon, and it was cold! I was not happy. I love cold mac & cheese, said no one ever! When we expressed our dissatisfaction with how long it took, they took half off the bill, so that was good. Also, the place just felt a bit worn and gross. Arm rest was sticky, and my chair was making offensive noises, yes like fart sounds when I moved! It was funny, yet not. I couldn't move until loud previews started. True story! read more

But since the baby will be here before you know it, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice grown up movie experience at the new dine and watch portion of the grapevine mills mall AMC. However, I almost had a heart attack when B came back to the car and said he paid $30 for two movie tickets. WHAT?!?! We hadn't even ordered popcorn yet......I was leery. But once the guy pointed us the the left side of the building, I knew I was in for a sweet treat. Although I can't take part in libations at this particular moment in life, the bar looked appeasing as we passed it. Nice little chairs and tables, flat screens with the game on....it was nice! I was like....ok, but still....where do we go for popcorn? Then we got escorted to our seats that B picked out when he purchased them. Nice corner leather recliners!! I was like : say what say huh?? This is fancy schmancy! The waiter was super nice...she took her time getting everyone's order, and she always showed up with refill. Not that you needed one, but having a fresh drink is always nice. When they bring you your drinks, they bring out a little cup of carmel popcorn, just enough to get you wanting more. The food was delish! B had BBQ quesadillas, and I had the Bistro Chicken Mac and Cheese, which was enough to feed a small army. Once dinner is over, she brings you a small heated towel to wipe your hands, which blew my mind lol! I didn't have to miss a part of my movie to go to the washroom! That was very nice! And as we were leaving....they gave us a chocolate mint and wished us a happy night. This may not seem worth the money to spend, and I wouldn't on a regular basis. However, if you want a nice experience and a romantic evening with your boo, then this is the way to go for a nice alternative to the movie tavern or a cheaper theatre. I've been coming to this theater for some time now and it feels five different theaters in one. You can tell that certain rooms have undergone remodeling while others might be original to when it was first built. There is a really nice Dolby theater with seats that recline. There is a wing of the theater that offers in-moving dining options, and some of the seating is more worn that others. On the other wing of the theater are standard seats. Essentially, your experience depends entirely on which theater you end up in. The food is pretty good. The servers are usually all very nice. I've never had any issues. read more

This is my least favorite of all the local theatres. The movie prices are great but they stick it to you on the refreshment prices that makes it the most expensive theatre. The popcorn is absolutely the worst ever...I looked up the nutrition of it and they still use the worst fats possible an it leaves a greasy after taste....I have never had fresh popcorn here and try to avoid this theatre. AMC grapevine falsely advertises as a "dine in" theater. They are not. Only a few of the 30 theaters have tables for dining and NONE HAVE IN THEATER SERVICE. Don't go if you want a dine in experience. I don't know how they are allowed to falsely advertise as they do. read more

Great idea.. a movie theatre where you can go and you have to be 21 and over to get it!? YES,PLEASE! They have huge red lazy boys to sit in, you can order from a menu appetizers,desserts and drinks and more, and get served just as if you were at a restaurant. It's nice to just get away and in a theatre to be without loud teenagers, I'm all for it. We have gone twice to see a few different movies. Now that we live farther away any chance I get back out there in Grapevine I bet it will be to see a movie too! You have to go one day, it's was way more enjoyable then the regular theatres! read more

It is clean, comfy seats that are not well worn, fast and helpful service. I love how the condiments (ketchup, salt and pepper) are already located on the seats. I dislike how the menus are left on the table even after you place your order. It kind of gets in the way especially when your food comes. I can definitely see how it will become more of an obstruction when the theater has a full house because you can't just place it on the table adjacent to you. Came here for a matinee of Taken 3 (which was a pretty good movie). I would suggest parking in the parking lot that is not shared with The Children's Place parking lot. I parked on the parking lot shared with The Children's Place and I found it was a longer walk to the entrance/ticket counter of AMC Grapevine Mills 30 than if you park in the parking lot on the other side. I found it difficult to book a Cinema Suite/Dine-In Theater and choose my seat with Fandango. With Fandango, I only had the option to purchase a ticket but it did not specify what type of ticket I purchased and it did not prompt me to choose my seat. I was able to do it through their website directly though. I was caught between the carne asada tacos and the hamburger. I ended up choosing the bacon burger which was really good! Much better and more enjoyable than the burger sold at Studio Movie Grill. But I did not care for this theater's steak fries. It was just regular, thick cut, steak fries, that didn't have much seasoning. I ordered the Caribbean Cooler and the Forbidden Fruit (limited edition cocktail). The Caribbean Cooler was ok. Of the two I purchased, I liked this better but I wouldn't order it again. The ice waters it down but even if you get past the ice, it tastes like juice. Not a strong drink. The Forbidden Fruit sounded better on paper than it actually tasted. It was heavy on the cranberry but the combination of the Ciroc Peach Vodka, cranberry juice and sweet moscato seemed more like cranberry juice and grenadine. I wasn't a fan of this drink. Perhaps if they swapped the cranberry juice for orange juice instead, it may fare better. read more

This is the worst movie theater in Texas. Wet floors, food on floors and seats, and the staff seem to hate their job.

So call me spoiled from the Amazing service and delicious food I get from Movie House & Eatery in Keller, but AMC Dine In Grapevine seemed to be the complete opposite. Where do I start? Ok, from the beginning. When we get seated, no one comes to greet us after 15 minutes, so I press the red service button. It takes another 15 minutes for them to see what I needed. I place our order for food and drinks and although the bring the popcorn and drinks out in a timely manner, it takes another 45 minutes before our food came out. Then, towards the end of the movie, they bring out the check. Well, it's kind of hard to sign off on the check and provide a tip, WITH NO PEN. I then press the button again and request a pen. Can you believe I didn't receive the pen until the movie was practically over. The reason this theater gets 3 stars is do to the nice bar and the fact that I can order food and drinks while enjoying the movie. However, what's the point if I'm not getting quality service for the same price as Moviehouse & Eatery in Keller. read more

Dinner AND movie?! Yes please! Great theater and the food was surprisingly GOOD! The problem we had was when we purchased tickets at the kiosk. The computer doesn't list what movies are playing in the dine-in side. Luckily they said we can order order at the bar and take it in the theater. So we did. All 5 of us. The food came out pretty quick! I had the fire burger and it came with fries. It was really good! I was used to the stuff they served at Studio Movie Grill, so the quality caught me off guard. The venue that offers a LOT more movie selection that isn't available elsewhere and is clean. I will def drive all the way here to visit this theater. If you are wanting the dine-in theater, RSVP early. read more

This location has dine-in theatres as well as regular ones. I am only reviewing the regular one. Once I experience the dine-in, my review may be subject to change. I found nothing spectacular about my visit. The seats were semi-uncomfortable and the popcorn was stale. Also, parking is shared with the hundreds of thousands of people who are shopping at the adjacent outlet mall, so parking is scarce and the area is very congested and crowded. We had to park very far from the theatre and ended up almost being late to the movie as a result. read more

We went for the first time tonight. The service was decent. The burger I ordered was great however the brisket mac and cheese my wife ordered was nothing but fatty pieces with no meat on them. It was disgusting and she didn't eat it. The seats were comfy. Great movie experience! The leather recliners are very comfy and as far as the food goes, it ranges from typical bar foods (mozzarella sticks, wings) to salads and fish and chips. They even have a kids menu! The selection for adult beverages is also very good ranging from wine, margaritas, martinis, and beer. Definitely worth a try! read more

What a poor experience. First time going back to the movies in a long time and every aspect of the visit was terrible. The theater was so loud from the neighboring theater that it made our movie suck. We came because of the dine in experience. Well... they don't do the dine in experience. You have to walk through the theatre back to the front to order. 45 minutes later we received our food from a girl with THE WORST Attitude. She pretty much threw the food at me. I said thank you as she throws it down in front of me and she just walks away. Then to spend over $50 and cold (ice cold) food is not acceptable. Just terrible experience all around. The AMC Dine-In theater was a decent experience. The leather chair was comfortable, and, while the craft beer selection was limited, I was able to enjoy a Deep Ellum IPA during the movie. I had a hard time finding something on the menu that I was interested in eating. There was lots that sounded good, but the nutritional information scared me away. The nachos were 1640 calories, and that's before you add any protein! I understand that you come to a dinner theater to indulge, but there were very few options under 1000 calories. I settled for the "Artisan Pepperoni Flatbread" (710 calories). It wasn't bad, but tasted more like a frozen pizza from the freezer aisle than anything I would call "artisan." There are many options these days if you want food and drinks during your movie - what was once a specialty market is becoming commoditized. The AMC Dine-In is the epitome of that, but it's still an improvement over non-beer movie theaters. read more

I'm from Massachusetts & don't have any Fork & Screen Cinemas anywhere near me, so I had to try this place out & it was amazing! I went for the Cinema Suites cause go big or go home right? Well I couldn't have been more happy with my choice. The food was so tasty, like it could have been on the menu of any stand alone restaurant & held it's own! I had the buffalo wings & tenderloin tips, I skipped breakfast & I was hungry ok, don't judge me! lol Anyway, both had awesome flavors that really popped & the prices were on par with most sit down restaurants, so it's like having dinner & a movie at your local Applebee's only better, with a full recliner like you're sitting in your own living room! I would recommend getting there early, like 15 minutes or so before your movie is scheduled to start, that way you'll have enough time to read the menu & place your order with your waiter before the lights dim & the previews start. Also, a weekday matinee was only $10 for this type of experience which I found to be a pretty sweet deal if you have a day off & wanna do lunch. It's a great way to kick back after some shopping in this huge mall & get out of the Summer heat for a couple of hours too! Cinema Suites is only for people 21 & over, so leave the kids at home or let them see a different movie. It's pretty cool if you don't wanna deal with kids & just have a grown ups day or night out. They even have a full bar inside the theater entrance which your waiter can bring you adult beverages from to enjoy during your movie. Not too many theaters I know have that option! All in all it was a great experience & if I had any near where I lived I would go often. If I am ever back in the Grapevine/Dallas area though I will absolutely be going back to this one & I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun & unique time at the movies! read more

I like this theater! As mentioned in another review, I'm very partial to movie theaters because I'm in love with Look Cinemas . I know you're probably thinking iPIC is much better, but Look Cinemas is closer to me , so I tend to go there more often . But i digress... This is a great location , however you may have to drive around the parking lot several times to find a place to park . I actually suffered through this , but I finally found one! A little walk doesn't hurt sometimes ..besides I had on flats that day :) The location is very clean and well presented . I love the decor! When you walk in you will see a nice bar set up. My friend and I waited to order drinks once we got seated. There was also lots of seating to chill out ,especially if you are waiting on people. There is assigned seating , which is always good . We found out seats, which are red leather-like seats , which do not really recline like I like, but that's cool. We didn't order our food that day, we ordered drinks. Drinks were pretty stiff, at least mine was . Order a double whiskey and coke :) So, unfortunately on this particular night , a poor lady passed out in her seat during the first 30 minutes of the movie , so everyone was a bit startled . They turned the lights on and stopped the movie of course to make sure the she was ok. It was pretty scary because the lady was not responding for a while , and her daughter kept calling her name and she wouldn't respond . The paramedics were called and they were there within 5 minutes it seems ! The lady finally woke up, and they were able to get her on a stretcher and to the emergency room. Thank God! Service was ok. We asked for a split check and it didn't happen. However, they were so kind to pass out free passes to everyone for the delay. That gets mad points from me ! The movie wasn't all that great (Lucy), but overall great experience! read more

Time for an update! My wife and I were back to the Cinema Suites to see part 2 of "The Hobbit". It was New Years Day and we wanted to relax, watch a movie in the Suites plush recliners. The recliners are so comfortable! We were also both hungry and were looking forward to a nice meal. Carolyn, our server took excellent care of us throughout the movie. Service was friendly and prompt and we have no complaints. Let's talk about the food. The food this trip around wan't up to par. I don't know what was going on but it was a total disappointment. The pizza was listed and thin and crisp, it wasn't. Thyr crust was doughy and thick. My wife's Buffalo Chicken Tenders were not chicken breast meat but "pressed" chicken formed like a strip. We had high hope for the popcorn. It too wasn't up to what we've come to expect at the concession stand. Most of the kernels were broken like they'd been scooped from the bottom of the popper. The concessions were not a good value with a $42 tab! We love AMC and the "Stub Hub" rewards program and will continue to frequent AMC theaters but not the Cinema Suites, at least for a while now. read more

Seats are uncomfortable , straight back with no inclination . I'm 6'0 and my knees touch the front seats and there is no one sitting in front of me . Then 20 more minutes to bring our drinks and by the time the movie was 80% over we finally received our food. This was a terrible service!!! We won't be back!!! UPDATE 2019: So they got new chairs which should be a good thing and the dobly room is all new and nice at first glance. But... Who is running this company? These are the most frustrating and uncomfortable seats I've ever had to sit in compared to EVERY other dine in theater. They are so awful I cancelled my A-List and refuse to return. It's just sad that this much money was spent and wasted. AMC needs to have better quality control because A-List is awesome and the best but what good is it if you can't go to the theater add relax and enjoy the movie?! BTW Nashville also got these 'new' horrible seats... Alamo, movie House, studio movie grill, iPic, heck even Cinemark has better seats. read more

Long over due for this review. As in another Yelper, this was likely my best movie experience. The Mrs. and I were in Dallas while the little one stayed home with the grandparents. Figured we should catch up on the movies. Found this place using Google search and decided to try it out. Can't remember how much exactly, but it was pricey. We would soon find out why. We walk in and its like walking in to the first class section of a 747. All huge lazy boy recliners, separated into pods of 2 chairs each with a dim lamp in between and call buttons for the waiters. When you're seated a waiter promptly welcomes you and takes your drink and food orders. We were given real utensils and a cloth napkin too! Food was OK. It was more like bar food here, maybe comparable to Dave n Busters. Still it was pretty awesome how you get to sit back and actually enjoy a movie. Snack prices are inflated - but that's expected. I'm sure you can't sneak in popcorn from economy class though. Try it. You might make yourself look cheap to your date. Fortunately I've been married for 7 years so I don't need to impress! Haha I wish they would expand this format to other cities. Service was excellent here. Try it, you won't regret it. read more
