So this theater has an upgraded Dolby digital auditorium #10, and that's just it so far. I think this was new, since uhhmmm.. 2025? But anyway it is superb and very nice with the recliner seats and heated option for lower back, but yes the Dolby digital sound is great and so is the screen. The recliner seats don't go all the way back compared like other theaters that have reclining options; but hey I think that's a good thing because in an all the way back lounge position you tend to doze off a bit easier. Now, for the other auditoriums non Dolby and still old and with the regular chair seating.. sometimes it's a hit or miss with the quality of the sound being volume and if the lighting from the projector bulb is bright enough to its standard. Because... watched the one movie Primate.. watched that but everything seemed to damn dark and just a tad bit out of focus and just recently watched Ready or Not 2, picture was fine and clear but the sound didn't feel up to its necessary volume at all. And after the movie was done and I walked to the exit, seeing patrons exit from another auditorium of another movie.. it was blasting loud and this is the hallway area near the restrooms on the left side as I was walking to the back exit where I parked my car. Yeah that's my kinda gripe with the existing auditoriums and if it can all be Dolby digital that would be great but that's probably overkill like asking for them all to be imax. But for the least maybe have another or two Dolby digital screens and upgraded speakers for the long run, but much preferred for the time being fix all projectors bulbs and anything else like upgrade the speakers or fix. This place is ok. It's the only movie theater in Manteca so the options are nil. The popcorn has gone down in quality since the last time I was here. The service is ok. The screens are still good and the sound quality is still good. They upgraded one of their screens but we haven't tried that one out yet. Maybe when the next marvel movie comes out I'll try it. My first time in this theater...Ended up watching the Michael Jackson movie here last night and was surprised there weren't recliner seats. We've been going to this theatre for years, with no issues, however, recently the last five movies we have seen, they have always been out of something, mainly the ICEE machine has been down. Coke ICEE is our favorite, all 5 times it has been out. When we talk to the manager about it, she tried to say that it was defrosting and that's why they're not working. We went again last night on 4/2026, and they were all down again, the only flare available was the blue flavour and then a sour candy flavour. Not sure how many other movie theatres there are in Manteca but AMC does the job. We've come here multiple times and we haven't had any issues at all. The employees are very helpful and always have a good attitude. Like all loving theatres, food will be a little pricey but joining Stubs insider or A-List will help a lot if you're a movie buff. This theatre has decent rewards you can earn on the app and they offer fun movies in the summer for inexpensive for the kids. But it's so dirty and not well kept it's almost not worth it. Some of the theatre's smell like moldy outhouses and don't get cleaned in between each show. There seems to be enough workers in the facility so maybe it's lack of motivation or guidance. This visit was a disaster! Our first & last time! It was so packed, we were in the popcorn line 20-25 min!!! The concession stands were FILTHY, spilled popcorn/candy everywhere, sticky soda spills etc. no ice in the soda machines. The candy that is included in the meal deals was barely stocked so not much to choose from.Then tight, small seating, NOT recliner seats. Sticky, messy floors. No table/trays. The theater was so hot! The big screen had a section where someone must've previously threw glitter up there because there was a big section that was shiny and glittery (so it naturally was what I kept focusing on). Stuck in 1999...which is odd as it seems like it's a relatively new complex. Seats are narrow and don't recline. Movie turned grainy and the screen went purple a few times. Popcorn was stale. Nachos were bland without toppings. Felt like they took all the old stuff from every other AMC before the refreshes and dumped it here. The girl at the concession counter named "Nice" completely tarnishes the experience you could have here. She is so beyond rude and unfriendly towards customers. Walks the pace of a snail, rolls her eyes, and talks to people like they are ruining her day by ordering. When we asked her what food was available her response was an eye roll and deep sigh while stating "whatever you see" and pointed to other employees making hotdogs for customers. We had a terrible experience with her and afterwards I watched a couple of her interactions with other people: also not nice. Her name is ironic for the kind of person she is to customers. Also the day that we came to AMC, they weren't selling more than half their menu which I think is pretty poor considering amc made you buy food vouchers to watch a movie they can't make money on (stranger things). I was told yesterday there was only one size for icees when that clearly wasn't true. Different clerk later asked if I wanted a smaller size when I returned later to get another. Only one flavor was available for icees.... All other flavors were essentially gone. Lots of items on your menu aren't even displayed like pretzels. Your soda machines aren't properly stocked, thus nearly all of your flavors are all considered watered down... I asked an employee for a cup holder. I was told there was none, another employee overheard and got me one. Lastly in your men's restroom, one of your stalls has no toilet paper dispenser at all. I would mark that as out of service. Used to love coming to this theater. Don't get me wrong, it gets the job done whenever I want to go to the movies and don't want to travel out of the Central Valley, but seeing all the other AMC theaters get upgraded and this one left behind kinda sucks. Over time I feel the staff has been pretty hit or miss, the seats are starting to show their age (some of them look nasty) and it's also gotten to the point where it's not super uncommon to find trash in auditoriums. Concession areas are usually 50/50 in cleanliness as well. I find myself going to other AMC locations for any of my 'must-see' movies, especially with premium formats being offered at those locations. What the theater needs is, new seats (preferably recliners or those cushiony ones you find at every other theater), an upgrade to the 'LASER' format for all auditoriums to get with the times and align itself with all the other AMC theaters in the Bay Area, and perhaps even the DOLBY premium format for at least 2-4 auditoriums. If they added these upgrades, I'd probably consider coming to Manteca mostly all the time instead of Brentwood, Mercado, NewPark, Eastridge (though I doubt it would ever pull me away from SF Metreon or Regal Dublin due to their sweet IMAX experiences. TL;DR Theater has been going downhill and needs new seats, LASER/DOLBY formats and better management/staff. read more

I have been to this theater for the past couple months the location is where I now live close to so this is all I got. Every time I come here it's sooooooooo dirty. Not once not twice but several times. But I will say the staff always has a positive attitude but the bathrooms the floor the stands messssssssyyyy. Also the theater does need an upgrade the way Manteca/Lathop surrounding cities is expanding its embarrassing at this point. AMC doesn't always make movies better, such as today's experience. I went to see the Korean film, No Other Choices, and the subtitles were off the screen and could not be read. Only kids were in charge who didn't know what masking is and could fix and restart the movie. One more reason to stay home and stream movies. This movie theater f**** sucks! came here today to see the stranger thing finale. The food stand line was nuts (as expected) stood in line for 35 mins and barely moved. The movie started playing so we left the line. we didn't want to miss the beginning of the movie. 30-45 mins go by and we thought the line would go down, nope! line was still just as long. We Went back out and Checked 2 other times during the movie. We were told from someone else in line if we purchase the Pass we can get into the members line that is way shorter. Well I spent $20 on that. Stood in line for another 20 mins and barely moved Again. During this time in line I watched multiple employees disappear/ walk in and out of the back. They had 1-2 people actually working. One Lady kept pulling people from the other line. She completely ignored our line while our guy went MIA. I watched multiple people cut the line to go up to these employees that were just doing random shit up there & were showing them there phones because they needed help with god knows what! Even though they have a customer service desk!! we ended up leaving the line AGAIN! Moral of the story. get your shit together & if you know you have more people coming in for a big finale have a better system going!! The line was NUTS the 3 hours we were there. Maybe upstaff & have more people working on these days & have more than 2 people f*** working the food stand! Didn't get to enjoy any snacks during our movie. So free $20 voucher meant nothing. We all got free $20 food vouchers that came with our tickets for the special finale. We were not able to get popcorn or anything to drink & missed some of the movie because of the Ridiculous line! I've been living here in the Lathrop area for almost 3 years. I don't usually go out to watch a movie unless it's with a friend and we meet in Stockton. So, yesterday (Thurs, 4/30) I left work an hour early to change my clothes and start my laundry before I left to find parking before the movie starts. Mind you, I've never been to this movie theater, so I don't know exactly where it's located. I got to the area, which is actually convenient because of parking situation and right next to the Bass Pro, which is a good location point to find it after getting there. So I was glad that parking was not the street parking that I am used to in the Bay Area. I'm not sure exactly what time the movie theater opens but I get there about quarter after 12 PM. There were a couple and a family group who are planning to see a movie, but they were talking amongst themselves that it's closed. So I went to check the doors which were locked and kind of peeking in through the ticket box window to see if there were any people there. Well, there were a few people which looks like they were having a meeting. One of the Asian gal with a very long hair, came up to the window and said that they open at 12:30 PM so I waited. Once 12:32 came, i'm still standing outside. There were two ladies, dressed in black, who went in, so I guess the doors were already unlocked and I didn't know it. They came back out, saying that they got their tickets and they had mentioned to the guy (behind the ticket counter inside) that I've been standing outside waiting for the theater to open for someone to sell me ticket. Come to find out the Asian gal with the very long hair did not bother to tell me to come inside and buy my ticket instead of standing outside waiting for the window to open when she told me originally that they'll be open at 12:30. So I went inside. The blonde guy behind the ticket counter had sold me one ticket was friendly and with a smile. Next, I went to the concession stand to purchase a small bag of popcorn and a bottle of Coke, which I don't usually drink, but I needed to stay awake. I asked the red dye-haired guy behind the concession stand who the manager was and told me that it was the Asian gal (with a very long hair) walking away from the area where we were. I began to tell him that she didn't even mention that I needed to go inside to purchase my tix but only told me that the doors open at 12:30. He tried to defend her bc there were auditors today. He handed me my bottle of Coke and my small bag of popcorn. I get to my seat and realized that my popcorn is cold or very slightly warm possibly because of the heating lamp that just got turned on because they just opened. Now, wouldn't you think that you would have the popcorn already started popping way before you open the doors so that people would be very happy with the overpriced hot popcorn that they had purchased? It's like having a party where you invite people, where the food and drinks are already on the tables ready for them to devour? So I don't know what kind of facility/location manager who has been trained to not oversee that part of the business. Would I come back here again? Probably not. I gave it 2 stars bc of my favorite movie, Pride and Prejudice, 20th Anniversary showing on the big screen which I never got to see when it came out. Also, to those parents who decided to bring their two toddlers to watch an adult movie ... PLEASE DON'T! It is disrespectful to those who have paid to watch this movie (or any movies for that matter) and enjoy it without any distractions. read more

We were there Monday of this week 5/12/25, 2:30 pm. We decided to get snacks. There were 6 people behind the counter. No one line in front of us we thought. They called a customer up to tell hom the ovens ere not working (or not on) so he had to change his order. Down counter to the left someone was actually helping the membership people? Not sure on that. Not one staff person opened another register or even looked at us. This thing with the mans order became the sole focus of everyone. Three people helping one customer while we waited. Finally we got the attention of someone. I managed a purchase. My friend tried but decided to pay in cash so they had to open another register. Its been years since I been here. Decided to see The Conjuring in their new Dolby theater, made the short trip from Stockton. Not one employee looked happy to be there. Stood in line at the concession in the priority line, didnt know they had a regular line. After waiting in line like 15 mins I noticed the workers were grabbing everyone out of the regular line. Leaned over the rope to ask the worker-blonde dude and asked is the line we are in actually a priority, he said yes regular people go in regular line. So we jumped over as no one was there and we were not "priority mbrs." They decided to grab everyone in the priority line. I was pretty upset and as he called us FINALLY I was like obviously the line didn't matter. Very bad customer service. Because we had so much time to kill I let it go. The theater was nice, was all brand new. The chairs back doesnt recline, just the bottom so it got uncomfortable after while. Not sure I'll return anytime soon. Lodi has a Dolby, the only difference is the sound isnt as intense. But the backs recline and the employees are nicer. Oh and it took 30 mins for our food, we ordered fries. Apparently AMC has 30 mins of previews. So if your movie says 330 start time, its 4. We arrived at 3, got to our seats at 330 and my nephew came in to his seat about 345 due to his fries. So arrive an hour early if you order food. Also the lobby wasn't tidy and only one soda machine worked. I see a lot of same complaints, maybe the theatre should do something. People spend $100+ for a movie experience. Do better and make it worth the money that is being spent. Start with better employees. Will not return due to bad customer service and the 30 min previews AMC likes to do prior to the show start time. The audio is wayyy tooo low for some on the songs played in the movie. The main vocals were barely audible, it just ruined the experience for some of us.
