We came here last Saturday to watch Spider-Man. When we arrived after driving a half hour or so we realized we forgot our masks. When we entered with pre paid tickets, we were told we could buy masks for $1 each. They're running a complete racket with that, the chincy masks provided are the ones you can buy maybe a 100 pack for $10, they're marked up about 900%. They're also the same ones any other business you give your money to gives you for free if you happen to forget your mask. We went in the theatre and sat in our seats, I came out to get slurpee & popcorn but the line had honestly what felt like 200 people in it. You then were offered to pay the AMC club membership for $17.50 for a full year which allows you to go in a separate line for snacks. The place has to be less than 5 years old from the looks of the building, but on the inside they take care of it like they could careless. The trash bins were overflowing with garbage prior to entering the theater, and even worse 2.5 hours later when we got out. Zero pride in how this place was upkept, & taking total advantage of paying customers after they walk in (I paid $60 bones for 4 tickets) I won't be returning, inexcusable customer service. read more

We were there Monday of this week 5/12/25, 2:30 pm. We decided to get snacks. There were 6 people behind the counter. No one line in front of us we thought. They called a customer up to tell hom the ovens ere not working (or not on) so he had to change his order. Down counter to the left someone was actually helping the membership people? Not sure on that. Not one staff person opened another register or even looked at us. This thing with the mans order became the sole focus of everyone. Three people helping one customer while we waited. Finally we got the attention of someone. I managed a purchase. My friend tried but decided to pay in cash so they had to open another register. You guys really need to get your act together. read more

This theatre's lineup just keeps getting worse and worse. Mainstream movies that aren't gore and horror just completely left off. They also let a lot of bad behavior go without intervening which makes the experience even worse. read more

Its been years since I been here. Decided to see The Conjuring in their new Dolby theater, made the short trip from Stockton. Not one employee looked happy to be there. Stood in line at the concession in the priority line, didnt know they had a regular line. After waiting in line like 15 mins I noticed the workers were grabbing everyone out of the regular line. Leaned over the rope to ask the worker-blonde dude and asked is the line we are in actually a priority, he said yes regular people go in regular line. So we jumped over as no one was there and we were not "priority mbrs." They decided to grab everyone in the priority line. I was pretty upset and as he called us FINALLY I was like obviously the line didn't matter. Very bad customer service. Because we had so much time to kill I let it go. The theater was nice, was all brand new. The chairs back doesnt recline, just the bottom so it got uncomfortable after while. Not sure I'll return anytime soon. Lodi has a Dolby, the only difference is the sound isnt as intense. But the backs recline and the employees are nicer. Oh and it took 30 mins for our food, we ordered fries. Apparently AMC has 30 mins of previews. So if your movie says 330 start time, its 4. We arrived at 3, got to our seats at 330 and my nephew came in to his seat about 345 due to his fries. So arrive an hour early if you order food. Also the lobby wasn't tidy and only one soda machine worked. I see a lot of same complaints, maybe the theatre should do something. People spend $100+ for a movie experience. Do better and make it worth the money that is being spent. Start with better employees. Will not return due to bad customer service and the 30 min previews AMC likes to do prior to the show start time. I dont want to spend an extra hour standing in line and watching previews at a theater. read more

It's been a long time since I've been to a movie theater that has a bar. I don't drink much, but a frozen Margarita with a salty rim and a movie sounds pretty darn relaxing. We've been here several times and it has always been clean and well staffed. The accommodations are great with comfortable seating and a great selection of snacks and drinks. I love the beautiful duck pond out front where you can chill while waiting for friends. So glad we've got an AMC theater in town. read more

This is the dirtiest theater I've ever seen in my life. The seats look like all sorts of things may have happened here but nasty things! Ugh! I'm never going back. The lobby and bathroom was fine- I just don't get it! Dont go! If you do- get to the theater when the lights is on- thank me later. They need to replace all the seats in this theater or steam clean everything ands shut down for a deep clean. read more

The audio is wayyy tooo low for some on the songs played in the movie. The main vocals were barely audible, it just ruined the experience for some of us. All you could hear were background vocals and the instrumental. Would not recommend going to this theater for films only premiering for one night. read more

We started to go back to the theaters. AMC is doing a fantastic job with keeping everything clean. When you order your tickets online, you have the option to pre-order your food. You don't have to but, it is a nice feature. Everyone there has a smile and makes you feel welcomed. Since I am a A-Lister, there is my own line to go through for food/sodas, which is very convenient. Then there is a small bar with all the beer and liquor you desire Also, another perk of being an A-Lister, is that you get one free ticket 3x a week. Love it! Be forewarned: if you make a lot of noise and someone complains, a security officer will escort you out. Kind of funny to see. Don't be afraid to go back to the movies. It is clean and safe. I don't have any pictures of the inside, but I do have pictures of the ducks that swim around in the pond next to the theaters. read more

My boyfriend decided that he wanted to try this theater so we came to see despicable me 4 here. The common area of the theater was fairly clean when we arrived. We went to order snacks. I asked if anyone could help me at the bar. The worker said she wasn't sure if anyone could help me and just left it at that. I was eventually able to find a worker (the manager) who was able to help me. However it was about $17 for a glass of Josh wine. The theater itself has cloth seats that are fairly old/dirty. I made sure not to lay my head back during the movie. Also, doesn't have recliners. My boyfriend agreed that he doesn't want to come back. read more

I usually have a pretty nice time at this theater. No real complaints on my end! It's rare I go to the theaters but when I do, I come here. Good snack selection, service is friendly. Occasionally a little dirty but that's nothing out of the ordinary for a theater. read more

The theater near our house is horrible. It's 1.5 miles. Usually we go to riverbank or Tracy and avoid manteca theater. I think we see a movie here every 1.5-3 years. So with that said it's been a long month and my wife wanted to go to a movie so we went to Manteca after work because I was too tired to go. Keep In mind I will pay higher prices to avoid this theater. Seats are dirt and uncomfortable and the staff we have seen is lazy and angry youth and embody the jokes we make about this generation. I ordered a hot dog and as in wrapped it it looked really old. They told us it was over 2hrs old. I'll skip the interaction but the young lady is ill equipped to take care of herself and dude. The mental iq to breath and work here is amazing. If you have to come but be cautious it's a lame experience with a staff that will disappoint. Give them time to find there name and thoughts. read more

My son, nephew and I went to watch F1 a few weeks ago. It was a late show around 930pm or so. Movie was great but we needed more popcorn around 20 mins into the movie. I went for my refill and the 2 workers kept working like they didn't see me. They kept cleaning up and I finally asked one of them if I could get a refill. He hardly spared me a glance and said to ask the other guy. The other guy told me they were out and continued to ignore me. I was dismissed. If you are going to promise your patrons the best experience ever before every movie screening and cannot even have the popcorn machine going, that is pretty darn sad! Oh yeah soda machines are usually out of ice too. And yes it matters because I hardly eat popcorn or drink soda and the movies is the one place I look forward to it. Do better please. read more

Regular theater no bells or whistles regular seats close together not much leg room sitting next to each other watching a movie for a couple hours. This theater is not usually crowded each time we visit here we go to this theater only if our regular movie theater is full Parking lot is shared with other businesses but we usually get a spot close to the entrance easy to walk in buy tickets or scan your phone if you purchased online or with app which is how I normally purchase my tickets Concession stand is right as you walk in usually not to many people in line when we arrive they have all your usual snacks and drinks popcorn sodas candy pizza etc prices are the same as every other theater triple what you would pay at the store Again the seats are standard do not recline no tray or seat warmers but it is a theater that is not usually crowded which is nice when you want to enjoy a movie without the crowds or noise from a packed theater we see a movie at least once a month here read more

I came to watch the new Mario movie and was highly disappointed in the amenities of this theater. At first glance, it is fairly new and spacious. The ease of buying tickets with Fandango and scanning in was nice. Upon entering the theater and after paying to watch the movie in 3D, I walked into a normal sized room with horrible seating and a dark screen. I did expect it to be larger with all the bells and whistles. This place has old, crusted, and busted seats that do not recline. They are so close together that you're literally touching the person next to you and forced to stay upright in the most awful position ever. Good luck if you are a rather large person or want to spread out. The quality of the movie was off since it was dark at certain points. This made it hard to see. I'm not sure if the brightness was turned down....? Regarding the cleanliness of the place, I was shocked to see it so dirty. The bathroom was not well kept and the lobby was full of garbage and food on the floor. Based off the other reviews, this has been the condition of the theater for years. I'm not going to return and will remain a fan of Regal. At least they know how to give folks a higher quality movie experience. Sorry, AMC. read more

Not sure anymore seems like they have no management , only 1 butter dispenser working sometimes 3 or 2 no salt shakers also we always order our food and drinks ahead and it's always not ready normally 15 minutes later we get service under staffed not as clean as it used to be, we love going there but it's getting worse and normally I don't comment about anything but it's time we said something especially when we spend $60 plus just for the 2 of us please help on theses issues. read more

So I went here and watched wicked sing-along because there was none near me so I drove one hour to come over here and when I got there, the service was fine. We got our popcorn and drinks and then we went into the theater now when I walked into the theater, the seats were very very weirdly laid out, now, I usually don't care about that type of thing so I took it with a grain of salt then when watching the advertisements the screen cut out to static then I was like OK it's whatever it's just an advertisement, but we were watching the movie and I saw that the projector was projecting on the sides of the walls as well so they obviously didn't set up the projection right which I didn't care about that much but also the quality was not that good at all The sound was fine though. Then watching through the movie, the projector cut out again and we saw static again for like a minute or two and missed a big part of the movie. Older movie theater, but only one in Manteca. It's in desperate need of renovations and more staffing during opening weekend/weekdays of movies. The seats are old cloth which require reupholstering. It's fairly cool inside, so good for warmer days. Parking is not great due to Bass Pro and Red Robin. read more

What a shame at what has become of our local AMC Theaters here in Manteca. I was there with family Sunday 4/9/23. It can only be described, simply as a pigsty. The food was being prepared in pure filth. The soda machines were broken and the ones that worked were out of soda. The bathrooms were just gross. Also, would not provide extra bags/boxes to share popcorn. And the employees had bad attitudes with the General Manager leading the pack. She could care less when these issues were brought to her attention. Buyers Beware! Wait for the movie to come out on your favorite streaming service! read more

I prefer to do this drive to visit this movie theater versus our in town options. This past visit here was extremely busy. But luckily we purchased our tickets online with reservations for seatings. So it was just a scan and go check in process. I can say that the floors and seats looked clean as far as no food or drinks laying around. I'm just not sure how much sanitizing they do of the seats and rails. They have more of a rocking style chair versus reclining here. We did experience one soda machine that only gave out drinks and no ice, and the one next to it gave out ice but no drinks. And one of the concession CC pads bit working. Every single time my friends want to meet for a movie here I try to protest, and unfortunately have been dragged here about three times within the past two years. This opened around 2008? 2009? Nothing on the inside has really been updated. They added a bar that's hardly ever open. The seats have never been changed, they're uncomfortable and dirty. The entire theater is dirty and kinda smells funny. Staff is high key "meh". It makes me sad because I typically love AMC theaters, but this is the worst one. I wanted to help this place (idk why) and tried to get in contact with the general manager to see if they would be interested in having cosplayers come to opening weekends and volunteer (no payment expected) to dress up and take pictures with kids, but was totally ignored. Last movie I went to here was Deadpool and Wolverine, and there was a toddler running around the entire movie (inside the theater). Not exactly how I want to experience an R rated movie. Please save your money and drive a little further to Riverbank or Modesto AMC needs a huge facelift and new management, someone who actually cares and takes pride in their business! read more

Came down from Stockton to dee Belfast, a story of "The Troubles" between the religious factions of Northern Ireland. Easy parking on street with many different restaurants in the shopping center locale. The theater itself is clean and well appointed with multiple s. Tickets can be bought online thru AMC with advance seat seat selection. I am a bit gearing impaired so the sound system could have been louder. All in all a pleasant afternoon. read more

Bro, AMC just ruined my Wakanda Forever experience. I went to watch it tonight and that in 3D. I felt like someone was doing a prank, brightness was so low that some scenes I couldn't even see any faces, forget about the background. 80% of the whole movie I just listened to instead of watching. If you don't believe me, watch the trailer and then go watch it in this theater in 3D. You will need super powers and if you are an ordinary person like me then you can only go to the help desk and ask them to wake up that technician who is ruining/running OR maybe they don't have a qualified guy. I've been going to AMC in Manteca for years and it has generally always been a good experience. My wife and I went last night for the first time in a year (thanks Covid) to see Fast and Furious 9 (I know it's a "junk food movie" don't judge me!). Tickets were bought online and scanned when we arrived, easy and no drama. The lobby was nicely air conditioned, which was a good sign because it was 95 degrees outside. However we were disappointed to discover that our theater (#10) was very warm and didn't have any A/C going. It wasn't too bad at first, but as the movie went on longer the theater got warmer and warmer to the point it was uncomfortably warm. We were sweating and would've killed just for a little circulating air. When the movie was over, we went back to refreshingly cool lobby, and then stepped outside to discover it was actually cooler outside than it was in the theater. I hope this isn't a new policy about "circulating air" and hope it was an isolated issue. Otherwise the luxury seating and smaller theaters in Tracy might be our new go-to. read more

I've lived in Manteca for several years and when I first moved here I was so excited to ditch Cinemark in Tracy and have a theatre so close to my house that was (supposedly) more luxury! I've had my problems with this theatre for a while but the experiences I've had in the past month or so have really highlighted why I wanted to leave this review. I saw three movies last month. Sonic the hedgehog 3, gladiator 2, and Nosferatu. I saw Sonic and nosferatu in this theatre and I saw gladiator 2 with some friends back in Tracy at Cinemark. Gladiator 2 was far and away the best movie experience I've had in a while because it wasn't at this theatre. Starting off, the ticket prices are usually around 2-5 dollars cheaper at other theaters as opposed to this one. Second, one of my friends had the rewards program at Cinemark. I always rolled my eyes at the AMC A-list offers because it didn't really seem like you got much out of it. Priority snack lines and waived ticket fees (which are already more expensive than other theaters) didn't sell me too much. At Cinemark however, not only did it get my friend waived ticket fees, his ticket was just straight up free because he got 1 free ticket per month, AND we also all got a flat 20% off all our concessions despite the fact that we did separate transitions, the bored teenager did not mind at all and scanned my friends barcode for all of us to get the extra discounts. And even if he didn't have that membership the base price for the food and drinks is wayyyyyy cheaper at Cinemark than AMC. Third, the comfort and movie watching experience was far better at Cinemark than AMC. AMC can fit way more chairs into a theatre sure but those chairs will be uncomfortable, unwashed, and made to have the exact wrong amount of leg room for people to squeeze by. This AMC also has what I would argue is one of the worst things for a movie theatre to have, screen decay and projector glitches. Several movies I've seen at AMC have had weird distortions and strange green lines or dots on the screens. I always took it to be a fluke of the film reel or digital artifacts but my showing of Nosferatu showed this was not the case! I saw the boy and the heron at this theatre when it came out and the entire time there were 5 green dots on the screen, again I mistook this as something other than the screen or projector. Then when I went to see Nosferatu we were placed in the same theatre (theatre 10, I doubt AMC is ever going to do anything about it but I'm putting it here just so you can avoid it lol) the same 5 dots were plastered on the screen! It almost ruined the movie for me because of how dark and atmospheric Nosferatu is. In extremely dark and moody scenes there were these obnoxious green dots in the background. This has never happened in any other theatre I've been to. This could easily be a case of the grass being greener on the other side but man, it felt like night and day being in the Cinemark for gladiator and being in the AMC for the other two. Save your money, go to one of the different theaters in the area read more

This health department needs to visit this theater. I wanted to order all-beef hotdog and the employee said she'll check if there's more and she seems new and she had to wait for her co worker to ask. Long story short they had a few hot dogs left on the warmer and the other employee grabbed the food thermometer in the pen holder and poked the hotdog to check the temperature and saw her shaking her head and put the thermometer back to the pen holder ‍. How unsanitary is that!!! Disgusting!!! We recently moved to Tracy and this is the closest AMC to us and it's very disappointing. read more

It's just as hot inside as it was outside. Didn't pay to watch a movie and have to sit there where everyone was sweating. Never again. I'll stick to regal theaters they keep it nice and cool. You'd figure for the price you pay for anything there they'd at least keep you in a nice cool climate. read more

Very comfortable theater with great treats to eat and drink. Especially like that you can fill/refill your own soda cups. Only drawback, sometimes the volume is too loud and they can't seem to adjust it down. We also like the patrolled parking and best of all, the beautiful duck pond! read more
