I cannot believe the poor degrading service i experienced just trying to buy a ticket. I went there on a Sunday for a early afternoon movie. This is a day and time when people like to go to the movie. They only had one cashier. So if you were a Premier member then you have a special line. Those customers walk up and get their tickets right now. We stood in that line for at least 20 minutes. It was insulting and had a definite touch of a elitist entitlement treatment. I guess they have this mentality that basically says, "Pay us to join our Premier club and you will be given better service than the person who does not choose or cannot afford to join. They will be entitled to see the movie but because they didn't join our club they only get service after our elite Premier club members." I'm sure we'll be seeing special lines in the bathroom next. This is so wrong on so many levels. Come on fellow customer's abandon this membership. It is unethical and elitist. A business operating with the theory that if you pay me dues we'll do for you. If you don't pay, then you suffer and get the second class treatment. Not OK! Please tear up those membership cards and tell management to run this business with fairness. read more

We went to go see incredibles 2 to cool down Saturday and right when we walked in it was hot. Me and some other people went to complain and they told us it was being fixed and that it should be on in about 5 to 10 min which it was not. It suck cause it was only our Theater room that the AC was busted. After the movie I went to go complain again. They were nice enough to give us a refund and put the money back on my card but guess what it's been 2 days later and still no refund read more

This is very nice and clean theater both inside and out with great customer service. But be prepared to walk a solid 4 minutes to get to your car because this area has very little parking available in the immediate area. The prices for snacks can be a bit more than one would like but in saying that they make some of the best popcorn. I also highly recommend going to one of their multiple screening events I have been to 3 of them in the past few years and they are a great experience. read more

Unfortunately this place is sub par. I generally really like AMCs. Buying your tickets at the counter can be a nightmare. There are crowds on the weekends and they have two people working. Definitely buy online. The concessions are the classic teenagers are generally depressed and apathetic. Lines galore. And it's not very clean. read more

Worst movie experience ever! By far the rudest employees and customer service i have ever recieved in my entire life. Arrived early to recieve a good seat only to be relocated right before the movie starts to an entirely new and full theater. Had to stand on the side of the theater until they could find me and my friends a seat in the very front. Did not give us a reason for relocation as there were still many seats available in the first theater. Did not even recieve even as much as an apology for the inconvienence. The projectors also fail to work as the before movie advertisements and previews were not existant. Do not even bother going to this movie theater. The facilities are very clean and nice however employees fail to display the common couretsty expected of a paying customer for an over priced movie ticket. read more

It was Saturday afternoon on November 1. I was excited and I truly wanted to like this theater. At first, I thought this place was awesome for offering free drinks, popcorn, and movies for the opening week. My friends and I came more than 2 hours early on Saturday to get free tickets to see Max Payne. We got our tickets and then figured we had time to burn before we needed to get good seats. We returned half an hour later to find out that the movie had already started. What theater starts movies over an hour and a half early??? Apparently, this one does. Apparently, management had been telling people in line that the movie would start as soon as the movie was sold out. Apparently, the ticket booth people were also telling people to go in right away. We never got the memo and neither did a good amount of people. I talked to 3 inept people in management and was told very rudely, "Well, what do you want me to do about it? You already got free popcorn and a free drink. If you still want to catch the rest of the movie, you can. There's nothing I can do. Any other week aside from opening week, I could do something for you, but not this week." Can anyone tell me what kind of theater plays a movie an hour and a half early? Why do you even bother having a schedule if you're not going to follow it? I don't care if the movie, popcorn and drink are free because that's not the point. The point is that you started a movie early without notifying everyone. Where were the signs when we waited in line? Where were the signs when we were around and in the theater? Why didn't the newspaper mention this detail? Why wasn't this announced on an intercom? Where were these management people notifying people of the change in playing times? The ones that passed by us in line asked if we wanted to see a list of what was playing and the running times. They obviously didn't communicate well to the public. So another question I ended up having and never did get an answer for was, why play the movie early? Were they planning on shutting down the theater early so everyone can go home earlier? The whole thing seemed really ludicrous to me. This was a very unprofessional business in which our customer service needs were addressed very poorly. Management ended up replaying Max Payne for us at 5:50pm when our original time was designated at 4:40pm. They only added this showing because a group of us were very angry. 7:50pm was the last showing and at one point, I was doubting that they would actually play it and screw over the people in the night show, but the fact is that they had to add one more showing because they screwed up. If they had stuck to their original schedule like any regular theater, everyone would be happy and I would want to come back to this theater because of the wonderful experience. The only good thing I can say about this theater is that the workers giving us popcorn and soda were very courteous. The people who were cleaning up were also polite. Management should take a lesson from these people who know how to do customer service right. I've been to all the theaters in Stockon, Lodi, Berkeley, the AMC and Regal in Emeryville, Metreon and AMC in San Francisco, Parkway Theatre in Oakland and El Cerrito, a random theater in San Jose and other ones in Southern California. Any of those will not disappoint. Bad customer service will keep me from returning to Kerasotes Showplace 16 ever again. read more

Where to start, where to start? My daughter and I went to see Vacation today (Sunday August 16th, 2015) for the 1:35 showing. We got to the theater ticket booth at 1:00 and stood in line for nearly 15 minutes as all of us watched helplessly as two teenagers sold tickets as if they were on Valium! Even though there was about 40 of us standing in line, one of the kids behind the glass began to socialize with someone buying a ticket and then went into this long ass dialog about buying season passes! There was absolutely no regard whatsoever for any of us getting into the theater and to or movies on time. Eventually when we did get in, then we had to stand in the popcorn line for another 25 minutes (not kidding, we clocked it). They had 7 registers and only two kids working the concession stand. This line had almost 90 people standing in it. None of us made it to our movie on time and watching the jabroney twins zombie through their less than work load was frustrating to say the least. Myself and a couple of other parents wanted to slap the crap out of the manager who just stood behind his little desk looking as if he was the flight commander on an aircraft carrier. This guy was an idiot. A real manager would have pulled the 7 employees off the floor from their lethargic sweeping duties and put them behind the counter ASAP! But no, offty goofty just walked around with his headset on pretending to look busy. My daughter and I drive in from Stockton because we can't stand the racially tense theaters in there. Read into that as you will. In Stockton, talking and texting and even speaking on the phone during a movie is common. The majority/minority of those who attend Stockton appear to lack a moral and ethical compass. We warned our civic leaders years ago, we said if you build this theater in downtown Stockton, sooner or later its going to turn into shit. God I love it when I am right. Perhaps the next time we go to the movies we will fly to Oregon. read more

I went to this theater a week ago to see the new Star Wars and the experience was a nightmare. First it was cold outside, actually 42 degrees and even though that's nothing to people who live in Minnesota or Alaska, this is the central valley California at 4 pm and the top grossing movie of all time is playing. They had one person at the ticket window and the line was 26 deep, I counted. When I finally got inside the concession stand line was just as bad with two registers active. I then found out after I paid I had to go get my own drink from a do-it-yourself all-in-one Coke machine. There was another line to wait in for that, due to only having two of them. Once it was my turn to get my own drink the cherry was out on the machine and I had to get inline again for the next do-it-yourself machine. I finally got my drink and was able to get to my seat. After tasting my "cherry Coke" it was horrible and flat and my six dollar drink that took me 15 minutes to buy and 5 minutes to make tasted like crap. Now to the really bad part. A man brought 3 extremely young girls into the movie with him from around 5-8 years old. The girls not only talked, commented on every scene,screamed, giggled and yelled, but they actually chased each other up and down the stairs. After nearly half the movie a woman near me had enough and shushed then. One of the little girls shushed the lady back and began to laugh. Finally I boiled over, stood up and turned around and told their dad to keep them quiet or leave. He must not have thought I was the joking type and kept them quiet the remaining 10 minutes of the movie. In this entire time no employee ever came to see if anyone was disturbing the movie or filming it or anything. I had to go re-watch the movie in Riverbank at the high end theater and I will never go back to AMC Manteca. Do yourself a favor, drive to Riverbank and go to Galaxy and see a movie in style! read more

I go to Manteca a lot for my kids sporting events at BLD. While I have been to the theater in the past I will never go to it again. while it is big and nice the concession line took forever as they kept helping the priority line members as I waited about 10 minutes behind literally nobody, I was next in line. Every time someone new came in that line next to me the kept helping them and I had been there for so long, it was just ridiculous, there's people had literally just walked in the door and was not like they were already in their line before I was in mine at all. I thought maybe they would just keep doing that forever but finally no new person came to their priority member line. Then the popcorn was pretty awful too. When the movie began (fantastic beasts) there were 40 minutes of previews!! It was horrible! My 10 year old started getting frustrated at the amount of previews there were. Parking scarce, always crowded, seats not comfortable, Riverbank is a better choice if your coming from that side of the valley.

This has been my favorite theater yet and I hate going to these things. This theater was comfortable, not too loud, and great screen size. Free refills is great too. The $5 buck club is worth it. The only downfall is parking since Bass Pro is right there and parking is difficult. read more

I am starting to really dislike this theater ever since AMC took ownership. First, the prices are ridiculously higher than before. Not just the admission tickets, but also the food at the concession stands. Im really annoyed at their new matinee times and the fact that there is really no matinee prices on the weekends. Especially on newly released flicks. Another stupid rule they deployed is they want 2 year olds to pay??!!?!?!? Come on! They don't even remember anything, and most will fall asleep. When I went to buy tickets, I was charged child's price for the 2 year old when we have always taken him without paying admission. I argued a bit that it was ridiculous to charge a 2 year old. So basically I had no choice but to pay, but the dumb window attendant still asked "so do you still want to buy him a ticket?" what a stupid question to asked. of course we have to buy him one, we're not going to leave a 2 year old behind. one more thing, this theater is staring to be filthier every time we go. when kerasotes ran the place, it was very well maintained. now its nothing but sticky floors from spilled coke, stains on the seats and some rooms had a foul stench. with the extra bucks they are getting from their increased prices, i would think that they would clean up the place more. i'm sorry but i think i may need to start looking for another theater to satisfy my movie cravings. AMC has the comfiest seats! I didn't realize this till I went to a few other places. My BF is very tall and this is the only theatre he can comfortably sit in. Plenty of leg room and the screens are huge. read more

I used to love taking the family to this movie theater and now they serve alcohol which I don't understand why any movie theater needs a bar. I will no longer attend this movie theater to be interpreted buy intoxicated adults that can just go to an adult location and leave our kids out of it. The AMC theater is great good seats, fast ticket booth, free refill on large soda and popcorn. The only problem is the parking lot since the movie theater is next to the Bass Pro Shop and Red robin it could take a while to get a good space but there's also parking in the back. read more

In my experience this is not a family friendly establishment. Worst experience ever. Brought my 3 kids, husband and sister to enjoy a movie. Paid more than 50 dollars for tickets and another 30 at the snack bar which was not even clean, and was told to leave because my baby whined for about a minute or two. The employee was already there waiting for a peep to kick us out in a rude manner. It was a childrens film I brought the children to watch and it was also before 5 so to not bother the older kids. And I was not the only one with children being children.... I have never had an issue like this at CineMark. Next time and every time after this CineMark will be the ones earning my weekly business. Manager Hardly which was lacking in her customer service skills refused to give a refund only wanted to give passes to return but I will not return to this establishment that is anti-children. We love going to the movies. This time our plan got damped as we were waiting in the stubs line for refreshment. We were second in line Vanessa ( employee) was helping the line as she finished helping the first person in line she looked at us and without acknowledging took the customers who came after us. This is by far our favorite movie theater. We live in Modesto but like to come to Manteca to this theater. They always have a large selection of movies and they are never crowded. The theater is clean and the seating is comfortable. The concession stand is expensive but what movie theater concession stand isn't. If you sign up for the AMC Reward card and reap the benefits sometimes it can payoff, but twice I've been very disappointed was given the the gofo passes and have been turned away because they have no seats available. The manager Michael refused to give me his last name nor accommodate other than conveniently give pre passes for next week, because they knew they were going to run into this problem , along with 20 other people behind me were given as well. I said I was going to email corporate they have no business falsely giving out so many passes if they were not going to have two showings or two nights. This is so people can pay to watch another movie rather than go home when they already made plans for the evening . He wanted to charge me to watch another movie than compensate for a ruined evening. So he also said I can arrive when they open and get tickets and come back later that evening, so now I have to inconvenience myself even more to guarantee I will be able to watch same night . A couple behind me said they came from Sonora which was the closest movie time, date for the passes what a waste for them to come down that hill over an hour drive . read more

today i took my two grandsons visiting from san diego to see "the nut job" and nutty grandma lost her car keys...................the young man sitting at the customer service desk (possibly his name was "john")?? helped me above and beyond and searched all over and luckily found them!!! he sure saved us and his whole attitude was helpful and patient while i was 'freaking out'.............great example for my little ones to see how some workers still do care and set the customer service bar high......grateful grandma in manteca read more

We arrived with a few minutes to spare before our movie and got in line for snacks. The line was so long that my husband left the line to get our seats. I went back and waited in line forever. The cashier had just been told off by the customer in front of me so I said nothing about having to wait for ten minutes to order a drink. After the movie I wanted a refill on my drink and of course the lines were super long. I asked someone behind the counter for my refill and he told me I had to wait in line and that is just the way it is. Come to find out he is a supervisor there...as the cashier refills my drink for me so I dont have to wait in line again. I was told the managers name is Daniel but he was MIA so I couldn't speak to him then. Here's a novel idea....have one dedicated line for refills. read more

This theater is in a nice location. Once inside it's a whole different story. The concession stand allows you to put your own butter and toppings on the popcorn. The whole area was filthy, butter and popcorn split all on the counters and floor. We went to watch a sneak preview of We Brought a Zoo. The theater was not cleaned from the previous movies. Popcorn and trash were under seats, on the seats, cup holders were sticky. We moved 3 times to find a clean area with no lumpy seats and sticky floors. I can only imagine the roaches coming out over night eating the leftovers they never bothered cleaning up. Yuk! We won't be back! read more
