Ok so it's MY fault i lost my phone but when i call and ask if anything has been turned in and i'm told no.... not at all and that they've checked lost and found but then i track it down to their very location and do a random pop up with PROOF in hand that they in fact have my phone and BOOM my phone conveniently shows up in lost and found.... i don't knowwww suspicious!!! I Took my kids to see Onward (a Disney Pixar movie) a couple of months ago when theatres were still open. AMC somehow decided it would be ok to show a Dove commercial of a woman with her shirt completely off who had a double mastectomy. Mind you, I'm a huge advocate for breast cancer awareness but this took it way too far. My kids couldn't understand what they saw and had a lot of questions to say the least. There are so many platforms and opportunities for Dove and AMC to promote causes but to show a top less woman with traumatic scars on her chest, during the credits of a family movie, is absolutely absurd and irresponsible. AMC Marina Pacifica 12 - Movie night! Yesterday - Cinema Near Me - Long Beach, California

So I've been to this AMC many times. Yesterday 11/14/17 was a "strange" encounter for us. We bought 2 tickets for Daddys home 2 at 4:20 theatre 6. As we walked towards theatre 6, on top it states thor? SO I went to the concession stand (line for the tickets were extra long) and asked the employee if we were in the right theatre. Our tickets print put and states "Daddys Home 2 10:30 am" so i asked the employee about the tickets and how on the bottom even states what time we bought the ticket "3:50pm" he said it was fine. I sat down in the assign seat. Sure enough 2 women came up to me and asked me to get off their seats. I'm now agitated and went back to the employee who states it was "ok" and another employee took over the situation. She apologize and realized the employee at the window sold me the wrong ticket. So she voided the whole thing and gave us another ticket. Firstly, I'm more upset that they didn't fix this the first time rather than having to be kicked off my seats which i showed up 30 mins ahead for. And secondly, the employee in the front window should have started figuring out he's been selling wrong tickets and let others employees know to be on the look out. I apparently didn't wanna go to management because the woman who helped me went up to management for approval before giving me another movie ticket and he didn't say much and walked away.... So please train your employee. read more

AMC Marina Pacifica 12 - Cinema Near Me - Long Beach, California

They didn't test the last Jedi in all theaters before premiere night- namely, not in our theater. They had us wait for an hour past the time the show was supposed to start, on top of the time we already waited from getting to our seats early. Every 20 min or so an employee would come in and swear up and down that the show would go on, they just had to figure out a technical difficulty. The manager finally came in and announced that they were cancelling our showing (the very first of the night) and refunding us. To add insult to injury, the other theaters that weren't initially working did get up and running, and the showing of TLJ on after ours was still scheduled to go on. Yeah, they gave us a free pass and refunded the tickets. But that doesn't even compare to the crushing disappointment of thinking you're seeing the first show on opening night after two years of buildup. It's now 8 PM opening night and TLJ is almost sold out everywhere- we will be lucky to even see it this weekend. Thanks for shitting all over what should have been a special and exciting night for a bunch of Star Wars fans, AMC!!!!!!!! read more

Been coming to this theater for years. Once another theater across town went the luxury route, I stopped coming here as often. I was happy to learn that AMC Marina had also upgraded their seats to luxury recliners, so I gave it another go. Concessions have improved, and being a Stubs member still pays off. However, there are still shortcomings. While the seats recline, my feet were touching the railing at full recline. God forbid someone needed to walk past me to reach their seat. I'd have to retract my legs back into my body, or at least return my seat to the full upright position. An inconvenience in either case. Worst of all though, was the screen. They took the good time and effort to improve the seats, but the screen was incredibly grainy. So much so, that whenever I noticed it, it took me right out of the moment, I was so focused on the blurriness. This was in auditorium 10. Perhaps this was a one-off, but I had a similar experience in auditorium 2, once upon a time. I want to like this theater since it's close by and usually convenient. But if the movie doesn't look good, then the rest of the amenities don't matter much. read more

Out of the three AMCs in the area this one works well, especially if you are looking to do more than just watch a movie. The location within a town center that includes a Barnes and Noble, Chipotle, and other food and shopping establishments means you can arrive early and wander aimlessly while waiting for your movie. Being an A-lister means I frequent movies regularly, but I am surprised by the movie choices that the Marina AMC chooses. It's rare you will find movies of a more diverse nature, perhaps because of the area? Ultimately, a good experience overall with hard working employees and of course those comfy red recliners. read more

Love this theater! I usually drive up to the Regal at the Towne Center despite being much closer to this theater. I went a few years back and it just seemed really small and outdated. Went last night for the first two installments of Harry Potter and had such a great time. Love the recliner seats -- makes a serious difference in the movie-going experience. Yay for reclining chairs!!!! we mostly come to this AMC because it has reclining chairs, it makes it so much more comfortable and cozy. The only thing I dislike if you turn sideways and your butt hits the button, that button is so sensitive that it easily moves your seat lol just watch out for that because it will happen. Even though this theater is located inside a shopping center and the parking lot is big, it can be difficult to find parking especially during the weekend or in a Friday night. Do not underestimate the parking. It also is pretty cool because there is a Barnes and noble and a Starbucks inside, Buffalo Wild Wings, ulta, in and out and Lucille's really close to it. It's much more convenient if you get hungry or just want to shop. don't forget to order your tickets online to make it much easier on yourself. read more

I don't know why there are so many haters on Yelp against this theater, seriously. I love this theater and it has been recently remolded to to have the awesome luxury/reclining seats. We haven't been to the movies in forever, and I didn't even know about the remodel until we looked online to see what was playing. I thought it was weird that you had to reserve seats, and I came to the conclusion that they must have done something there. Low and behold, we arrived to see that they now have the nice reclining seats. Besides the awesome seating this theater is so laid back, it is not very big but that is why I find it so charming. The staff is nice, and they don't get all crazy with you if you bring in your coffee from the Starbucks next door or candy from the sweet shop. Yes as some people have stated the parking situation here is not the greatest, but to be honest maybe they shouldn't be so lazy and just park a bit farther away where there is plenty of parking (Near the Best Buy). Also, it is in a great spot to do Dinner & a Movie, lots of great dining spots (make reservations though, or you will be at the In-N-Out like I was this past weekend). I've been to this theatre many times over the years, but this last time was annoying. While watching Anabelle: Creation someone turned the lights on and off twice during the well scene of the movie, wth guys!? It ruined what was leading up to being a good scary scene of the movie. I asked about it and was told that the manager asked the employees and "no one touched the lights." It was a good movie, but the lights going on and off was really distracting. Also, they didn't turn off the lights until the last preview before the movie. The new seats were quite comfortable, with the reclining, but my partner hated them because she couldn't touch the ground with her feet. We didn't really like how we had to reserve seats when buying tickets, but that won't change anytime soon. Looks like they will have a bar set up for alcoholic beverages. Love the Coke Freestyle machine and the icee machine that was self serve as well. read more

I love the location of this theatre. When I used to live in Belmont Shore, I would always come here to catch a movie - definitely biking/running distance from the Shore. There are plenty of show times and I've never not been able to watch a movie due to it being sold out. I love the reclining chairs - so comfy! I've had some negative customer service experiences here before - such as assigning wrong seats (since you pick your seats and they become assigned to you). So, be sure to check what is printed on your ticket before entering the theater, since you may need to go back to exchange the ticket. In addition, parking is kind of a pain here, so be prepared to come a little early before show time to ensure that you can get a parking spot. read more

Finally got a seat at the 4:20 pm show, of Rouge One in the redesign recliner theaters at AMC Pacifica location. Halfway through the show we had to leave because two guys in the seats next to ours couldn't keep thier hands off of each other's crotches. Personally, what men do in the privacy of thier own homes is none of my business, what they choose to do in a public place like a movie theater where families go for entertainment is inappropriate! Although AMC refunded our tickets, we left the theater disgusted. What should have happened in my opinion is management should have asked the lover boys to leave and go play with themselves elsewhere like in a private space not a movie theater on a Saturday afternoon. My father and I went to Marina Pacifica to see Glass at 930 and were denied entry. My father and I had 4 AMC Gold Tickets. We saw "The Favorite" two weeks ago using the first two. Today we went to see "Glass" at 930 AM and were denied entry. We were told our tickets were old and would have to pay in cash. Not only did we not get to see the movie we wasted our time driving there. The AMC Gold Tickets do not have a date requirement on them and we were never informed that they could expire. It appears they changed the policy after selling the tickets. NOTICE TO THEATER: THEATER SEATING UNSAFE In addition when we attended the movie "The Favorite" the theater seating was NOT SAFE! My fathers seat stuck in the feet upright position. From that position the back of the chair pushes back whereby when stuck in that position an elderly or disabled person can be injured when trying to exit the seat. My fathers seat was stuck in that position with the legs fully extended and he could have been injured exiting the seat. His seat would work intermittently being stuck in the leg extended position for over seven minutes two times. In addition my chair would occasionally stick for a minute and a woman who was sitting to the chair to my right could not get her incline to work at all. THESE CHAIRS STICK AND WHEN FULLY INCLINED CAN CAUSE INJURY TO THOSE SEATED IN THEM SINCE THEY ARE DIFFICULT TO EXIT WHEN FULLY INCLINED. Went to the marina amc and it reminded me why i stopped going to the movies when i can just stream it, but my daughter really wanted to go to the movies. $55 for three tix, $30 for stale popcorn a candy bag and one drink, workers all look depressed, movies are late to be shown - hm hm hm shoulda saved my self $80 and streamed it at home. I really like this theater! The reviews should be better! Make sure to get here AT LEAST 20 minutes before your movie because they have been almost sold out every time I come. If you want a good seat I would say at least 30 minutes early or so. There are stores close by to walk around while you wait for your movie. Barnes and noble.. Starbucks... Nordstrom rack. They have wonderful RECLINING seats.... a full bar. They have sodas and you can get REFILLS! So cool! It is $14.50 for a ticket if you buy them at the theater. This is located right off of PCH and has a bunch of shops and restaurants surrounding AMC. Parking can be tricky if it is a busy weekend evening. So give yourself enough time! I suggest buying tickets online. They do it by seats here and if you want to sit next to all your friends and guarantee good spots, buying online is a better option. Especially since it is a pretty popular spot, when there's popular movies that has just come out, it will definitely get busy. Their movie theatres are reaaallly small. I'm not sure if it was just the one I went into but there was not like a few divided sections. It was sort of just one room. IMO tickets are pretty expensive at this location. Overall I'm use to paying $5/6 for a movie ticket. But then again AMC theatre does have very nice seats and lounge all the way back. But if you do want to save a few bucks I suggest a matinee show over an evening one. read more

I love this theater everyone is so nice but today they went above and beyond. I somehow lost my sunglasses during a movie the other night and when I called to see if anyone had turned them in, hoping against hope and spoke with Jasmine who not only took the time to look through everything but continued to look after my call. 20min later she actually called me back had gone through all the lost and found and located my glasses. Its so rare for people to go out of their way these days so I just wanted to say Thank you Jasmine!! read more

5 stars all thanks to Rebecca! They have an amazing employee who really went above and beyond! I went there to see Life and after the movie, I couldn't find my phone. My boyfriend and I were searching in between the cracks of the seat to no avail. She saw us struggling and not only offered to help but literally dived into the seat-searching left and right for my phone! I told her t was okay and that I probably lost it elsewhere but she was determined to find it, saying that most phones get lost in the cracks. She even let me use her phone to call mine. 5-10 minutes later it was found and back in my hands. We need more employees like Rebecca who are very personable, friendly, and go above and beyond! 5 stars Oh and the movie theater is very nice too and has the best popcorn ;) read more

Recently this theater was renovated with reclining seats. That's about the only good thing about this amc location. First off the parking is pretty awful. It's shared with other stores that bring in a ton of traffic so always come a bit early to find parking. The theater is actually not that small. It is actually decided into two buildings. Both with about 8 screen rooms. The rooms themselves are pretty tiny. I would say they fit about 60 people tops. The screens are not as big as you would find at most theaters. And I feel like the sound system isn't very good either. I think the only plus side to this location is that it is never packed. Out of the three times I have come here, I have never been in s sold out room. I'd figure it will change soon once more people discover they have reclining seats now. Just watched Beauty & the Beast. It would have been a great movie and experience had the people around me knew how to behave in a theater. This lady and her two kids were so obnoxious and noisy, it was hard to concentrate on the show. Her kids were old enough (around 8-11) to know how to not be a distraction. Her daughter kept complaining and getting up. As the show started, a couple came in and apparently she took their seats. When she told her kids to move, they started getting loud and obnoxious. Had they sat in their selected seats, they could have avoided disrupting other paid customers such as myself. Looks like my money went down the drain & I have to spend more money just to be able to watch what I paid. read more

So I normally love coming here but about two weeks ago I was treated very rube by a lady who accused me and my mom of sitting in her seat and her husbands seat, AMC accidentally charged me and her family for the same seating. When her, her husband and her daughter walked into the theater I explained to them that me and my mother also paid for for the same seats that she and her family got online. I paid for mine at the window but she didn't believe me. I got up to speak with a manager and she followed me out side demanding that I give up our seats and I was a liar. When the manager and he saw how the lady was speaking to me he let her and when I wasn't letting her disrespect me he threaten to put me out. I was a paying costumer just like her and I didn't deserve to be treated like that. It's not my fault it was a mix up with the seating. That really messed up the movie for me and I don't know when I'll be returning. read more
