    Drink at the bar

Came for appetizers but just had drinks. Was not feeling the vibe. Maybe because it was Monday the person there serving was disconnected and not interested. We left after one drink but really wanted to try the crispy chicken and cauliflower bites. Guess we will never know.

It was my first time coming to Nyack Social and from the minute I stepped into the establishment I was greeted by the staff and two of the owners. The aesthetic of the restaurant / lounge is very satisfying and you can see the difference between the bar area and dining room. The layout of the place is very easy to navigate through and you can tell a lot of TLC was put into the place when observing the fine details. Our server was phenomenal, she attended to our every need and offered insight when asked, she definitely made that personal connection with us throughout her interactions. We ordered an assortment of appetizers, entrees and drinks. The Vietnamese Wings were made to perfection to the point where you couldn't put them down and wanted more. The fried calamari with shrimp was simply divine and had a unique taste that indicated there was thought put into the seasoning used for them. The marinated skirt steak had a sweet tang to it that left you wanting one more bite, you could tell the chef was dedicated when developing his flavor selection. The fried yucca was fried to perfection and the yucca themselves had a feel that the yucca was hand picked just for the meal, I was at a loss of words when I initially tried them. The crab and lobster empanadas were so tasteful that we had to order another round for the table. The steak sandwich was paired perfectly with the ciabatta bread. It is truly difficult to find places with such fine cuisine that encompasses so many tastes within the area but Nyack Social crossed all the boxes starting from the table service to the details and precision in their finely curated meals.

Matt and Marris make you feel like part of their family the moment you walk in, and it is ABSOLUTELY genuine! Their passion is clear. The menu is thoughtfully curated, highlighting both creativity and quality ingredients. Every time I eat there, I find myself smiling; the concerns of the day or week float away. The care and detail in everything presented to the diner are so thoughtful. The drinks deserve just as much praise and are beautifully crafted. If you're lucky enough to visit on a night when Izzy is behind the bar, consider yourself fortunate. He's not only a "DJ" of cocktails, but warm, friendly, and fun to be around. Honestly, sitting at the bar is just as good as, if not better than, a seat in the dining room. We travel from Manhattan just to come here, and Hudson House never disappoints. It's the kind of place you find yourself returning to again and again, and recommending to everyone you know.

We all know how much Ketile One is pour the extra ounce. And when you bring the wine caraf, fill it to 5he top. As the apps came, I noticed there was no bread, so I asked for some. Someone in our party, told me there was a 4 charge for bread. I was getting a pasta dish, so I wanted it anyway. Needless to say bread never came, but it was on the bill. They removed the charge. I guess I'm just getting cheap in my old age. For 375 can't I get a decent pour and a piece of bread

We've driven past Don Chicken plenty of times saying, "We have to try this," and on a Friday night we finally made it our date night. The spot itself is simple, with plenty of parking, and fully focused on serving must-try Korean fried chicken. I walked in ready to order one of everything, but the cashier quickly realized I was new and helped narrow it down to chicken, dumplings, and an order of fries. Let me be clear, if you're picturing small buffalo-style wings from a local wing spot, reset your expectations. These were full-size wings. We ordered them plain and soy-glazed, and both were excellent. The dumplings, also soy-glazed, were just as good. From the first bite, the crunch and flavor hit immediately. It wakes up your senses and makes you realize this isn't just chicken. You can taste the care that goes into the prep, and it absolutely shows. Despite being busy, the service was friendly and attentive, which always makes the experience better. When we finished eating, it looked like we barely made a dent, plenty of leftovers that were happily enjoyed by the family later at home. If I could change one thing, it would be having a beer to pair with the meal, but that's a minor detail. This is a quality spot and an easy go-to for Korean fried chicken in the Hudson Valley. 5/5 stars.

I love that the owner took creative liberty to have Korean-imported exclusive flavors (both of which I ordered). This exclusivity makes this place unique. I love that the owner cares about the quality and remains knowledgeable about healthy techniques to maintain high-standard food quality. The fries alone are delicious with or without the cheese snowing seasoning. The cheese snowing has a unique subtle sweetness and faint sharp cheese taste, which is impressively yummy. The onion rings have a perfect crunch and great buttery earthy flavor. The purring seasoning is not too cheesy, has a faint nutty, sweet flavor that pairs with the parsley. Okay, enough about the food, haha, the service is stunning compared to some restaurants I've been to. The owner is polite, humble, genuine, knowledgeable, friendly, positive, and has a radiant energy that leaves you feeling happy. I loved the conversation we exchanged. The owner even retains that energy with every customer that enters, which was truly impressive. The above and beyond nature combined with strict food quality standards and care is amazing. So food and service are stellar. What about the ambiance? The energy is a calm, peaceful, positive environment where you are allowed to enjoy your meal in serenity even with a TV on. Overall, this restaurant well earned all 5 stars, and if I could rate above 5 stars, I would! Thank you for a delightful meal and remarkable experience.
