Got a couple free tickets via ATOM to watch Young Washington on July 4. Should have trusted the critics reviews instead of the audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes... Parking was easy, and the theatre didn't look too busy around 1pm. Concession was expensive as you would have expected. I was a bit disappointed that Screen 1 didn't have reclining seats, just traditional seats. It was a smaller and older auditorium, but still clean. AC was good. Not sure if it's the standard now or just this movie, but for a 1:15pm showing, the movie didn't actually start until 1:45pm; a full 30 minutes of previews and advertisements before that! read more

Went to see The Odyssey (directed by Christopher Nolan) on 8/9/26 in IMAX with Laser at this theatre since it was the only one that still had tickets to see the same day. Screen 14 has one entry & one set of stairs only. It def doesn't make me feel super safe, even if there is an emergency exit door in the front. The first thing you realize when you step into the room is the smell... like old dirty carpets. The seats felt like them too!! The seats were uncomfortable & literally 90 degrees, no recline whatsoever. I could feel the sleeves of the person sitting next to me kind of close, & I'm on the slender side. Usually I bring a blanket when I watch movies in the theatre because it gets cold. No, I wish I wore tanks & shorts inside. It was already pretty warm before the movie started, & when it ended, I was sweating like I was in a sauna, & I run cold! It was so hot that it felt cooler outside, & it was a +80°F day with a breeze. It's as if the theatre is being cheap with using AC! The side lights were still slightly on when the movie started as well. Sometimes the volume was so loud I had to plug my ears. The popcorn was kinda stale. The bathrooms were outdated & unkempt. The one bright side is they have the kind of soda machines that have a lot of options to pick flavors, even if one of them wasn't working. The movie theaters is nice. Good set up. The thing I really like is we can buy the tickets and food online so that when we get there we don't have to stand in line. The popcorn and icee were good. Movie theater popcorn is just so good especially with extra butter. The one complaint I have is the seats are worn down and even some are torn. This was in theaters 10. It's hard to sit through a two hour movie with the seats worn down like that. We ended up seeing Michael Jackson movie and I was shifting in the seat throughout because of the seats. It was my first time visiting this theater to watch a popular Chinese animated movie, All Wishes Come True. My first impression was that the theater was quite small and old-fashioned. I really did not like the seats, which were traditional fixed seats instead of the reclining seats that have become common in modern theaters. Since movies nowadays often last at least two hours, most theaters in the Bay Area have upgraded their seating to provide a more comfortable experience for audiences. Sitting here for such a long movie was quite uncomfortable. After about 2.5 hours, my back and neck felt very stiff and sore. Other than the seating, however, the movie itself was enjoyable, and the picture and sound quality were both good. Overall, I had a decent experience, but I hope the theater will consider upgrading its seats in the future. read more

A solid movie theater experience! This was my go-to movie theater growing up, and I'm so glad that it's still a great experience years later. I visited on a weekday evening to watch Zootopia 2, and I forgot how fun it was to come to the movies. The interior is spacious and has arcade games near the entrance, perfect for kids. There is a whole concessions section, with plenty of snacks and drinks. The building has two sides of movie theaters, with a couple IMAX options. The actual movie theater feels very classic: rows of comfy chairs and a wide, detailed screen. This tends to be a pretty busy theater, which enhances the overall movie experience. Movie theaters have changed a lot since Covid, which was around the last time I went to one. The seats are recliners. And not nasty, busted recliners, but legit lazy boy chairs which are pretty awesome. Sound is better. I didn't eat there so I couldn't speak to the food, but there's an amazing steakhouse nearby if that's your thing. Anyway I was very pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed my (late) evening here. Would recommend. read more

Did you know you can go in for just popcorn? I recently discovered that they do a popcorn to go bag and had to check it out. Everyone was super friendly. Easy process to just pop in and hit the concession stand. They give a big bottle of butter to go with the popcorn. It may not seem like a lot, but it really goes a long way. We're halfway through the popcorn and maybe only 1/8 of the butter has been used. It's a fun treat for movie night at home! read more

My wife is a teacher and she's on her last week of summer break. We put our son in daycare this week so we could do cool stuff without our toddler this week. We decided to see a movie today and booked seats for the fantastic four at this AMC theater since it is relatively close to our daycare. The seats in theater 8 DO NOT RECLINE! Super frustrating. Generally AMC has a pretty good hold on their theaters. However, once upon a time ago Saratoga used to be good now it's barely skirting by with a D+. This theater needs a face list, fresh paint, newer carpet, it needs a sprinkle of hope and magic to bring it back to it's former glory. It definitely needs some help. AMC Saratoga 14 is located in El Paseo de Saratoga plaza, where they have plenty of parking. They offer IMAX, so certain screens are huge and have plenty of seats. Though, they are stadium seating and not the recliners. Unfortunately, I find them uncomfortable to sit in because all the padding had worn out. They do sell alcohol inside. So you can bring your beer and watch your movie. Three soda machines with multitude of popular brands to choose from. Also a icee machine. My friends and I saw Marvel's newest movie, Captain America: A Brave New World. read more

Don't go if you don't need to or just drive somewhere else! Seats were uncomfortable, there was no ac, and the minute you enter the room it smelled. It was not worth the money I spent. Its a good location, with plenty of parking. They also have a bar, so you can grab an adult beverage to enjoy while watching your movie. They have a new experience called XL at AMC. So, the screen is bigger, but, same worn out seats. Pretty dingy & some torn. That was disappointing. I much prefer Mercado & Eastridge. read more

I wouldn't recommend this theater. Old, dated seats and the auditoriums do not have ac. I don't think I've ever been in a theater that wasn't cold. It was very hot and uncomfortable to enjoy a movie. There were theatre goers who brought their own fans and seat covers. So this definitely was not a one off type occurrence of the AC not being on or not working. It's unfortunate for the price we pay for tickets that we can't have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. read more

Went to see Spiderman. The movie was great but the theatre was in terrible condition. The lights didn't actually turn off until 10 minutes into the actual screening. Overall the worst experience I've had for a movie. The seats were the most uncomfortable and outdated seats made to man. Not to mention that the pricing for said seats was 50 bucks for 2 (yes it was in 3D) however that does not excuse the fact for that price; the seats should at least be least decent. The arm rests were broken and there's absolutely no room. The food was truthfully bad. Like how do you mess up popcorn it's the simplest thing to make. Now no hate to the workers especially since they do the best they can and work with what they got but. The pricing for sitting in those seats is actually inexcusable. The lights in the theater also barely dim so you still got some form of light sourced in. Thought AMC's were supposed to be "top tier" cinema/ theaters; what a joke. I have to count on two hands how many times the workers have set off the fire alarm and stopped the movie to evacuate the building.
