June 6, 2026 and a group of us attended the fourth annual downtown Campbell car show. Let me start by saying the solo bartender, and solo waitress were doing their best. It is a shame that the owner/manager, whomever that may be, staffed today with just two people!! The date of this car show was announced many many months ago and the event is well attended!! There is/was absolutely no excuse for not having adequate staff!! We walked in for lunch and they were many open tables, but it took quite some time to get menus and even longer to get beverage orders taken. When the beverages arrived, we were short one/one was missing. The Reuben sandwich was very salty and the chicken sandwich under-seasoned. The other sandwich and burger were nothing special. When it came time to leave one party at our table, had to go find the waitress and ask for our bill/check. As a group we debated about not even leaving a tip, but ultimately decided that it was not the waitress nor bartender's fault but management's fault for having a skeleton crew working on an extremely busy event day. read more

I came here with my friend a few days ago, and the customer service was absolutely horrible. After we found a table, no one came to take our order, even after we got up and went to the bar ourselves. When I finally tried to order, the older female server I spoke to acted like I was bothering her. She saw me trying to get her attention and seemed like she was trying to avoid helping me instead of simply letting me speak. When I ordered a side of pasta, I mistakenly heard her say "what side" instead of "what sauce." When she had to repeat herself, she used a very irritated tone and continued trying to walk away while I was still talking. It felt extremely rude and dismissive. Only a few minutes into our meal, she brought us the bill, which made the entire dinner feel rushed. We felt pressured to pay, pack up, and leave quickly instead of being able to enjoy our meal. I came here with friends during a night out in downtown Campbell, and it was sooo hard to get any of the bartenders' attention to order a drink. Luckily, another guy at the bar, not part of my group, intervened, and when someone finally came to take his order, he directed them to help me first, which was so nice of him, and he didn't have to do that. I got a vodka redbull, and it was pretty standard and priced about average. Other than that, the music was super loud, and I could barely hear my friends when I rejoined them. When the waiter finally came over, she complained that we hadn't ordered through her. When she brought our food, she looked visibly unhappy and walked away quickly without giving us a chance to order more drinks. Later, she removed our unfinished food without asking, even though we were still eating. She completely ignored us afterward. When we asked for the check, she suddenly seemed very happy -- which made the whole experience feel even more unprofessional. The service from one of the older (shorter) ladies always puts a damper on the experience. she's consistently in a bad mood and acts like serving customers is a burden. The drinks are strong, so you generally get your money's worth, but if you ask for a drink to be remade because it tastes off, she gets visibly annoyed, which makes the experience uncomfortable. read more

The staff in its entirety spoke a dozen words to me, half of which were telling me that its open seating and asking if I want the bill. Meanwhile they were having a regular gossip fest at the end of the bar. Music was off for a pub, food was off for a pub, drinks were off for a pub, dirty dishes were piled next to me at the bar nd not addressed for the entirety of my stay, a single drink and a flavorless plate of bangers and mash was $40, and the staff was willfully inattentive. I had to organize a work happy hour and reached out to Katie Blooms. They don't have a menu online and sometimes when I would try to call them I would have to call multiple times to get through to confirm our reservation. The day we had our event planned for, it was pouring, so it worked out for us because the bar was mostly empty except for us. I was able to easily open up a bar tab and order appetizers for the team. The service here is really awful. You look around the tables and no one has any food. I'll start from the beginning. I came in and sat down on a couch near the front. I asked if I had to wait to be seated or just sit anywhere and she said sit anywhere. I said OK. I had my computer and so I asked her for the Internet password which she gave me. She did not offer me a menu or anything else. I let her go and figured she would return to ask me if I wanted to order anything or at least get a drink but she did not. I waved her down and she ignored me. I went up to the bar about 20 minutes later and I said may I have the menu and a glass of water with lemon. She handed me the menu at the bar. I read the menu at my table. I waited about ten minutes and she went to the back so as soon as I saw her, I walked to the bar and was greeted by a look of irritation. I told her I was ready to order. She nodded and said OK what would you like. I told her I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich, a side of mashed potatoes, and a glass of water with lemon. After another 10 minutes, she brought me a glass of water. By this time we're about an hour and 10 in and I still don't have any food. Finally, she brings my food and water with no lemon. I went back up to the bar and asked her for the lemon, the check, and a to go box. I had to get it in a to go box because I didn't have time to eat it there at that point. At this point, I felt exasperated and annoyed. Instead of it being an enjoyable evening out, I felt on edge, desperate, and anxious. I sat and waited another 15 minutes before I asked again for the to go box and check. I followed her to the register and grabbed my things. I could not wait to leave. Oh and lastly.....I am a black woman. I could easily pin this on racism but I actually do not think it was about the color of my skin. When I looked around the restaurant, most of the guests were indeed white, but 7 out of 8 tables of folks did not have any food, and I saw them continuously looking around for help. While I was waiting for my to go box and check, I watched a couple of men walk in and wait for about 10 minutes to even be greeted. I also read other reviews. Some were good but the ones that were bad were quoting issues similar to mine. If you want to go to a restaurant that has decent ambience and okay food, but literally zero customer service, go here. You will likely will be ignored and do a lot of self service and walking back and forth to stalk the waitress. Personally... It's a no thank you for me. read more

Sooo..... let's talk about favoritism. I've been going to this bar for several years as i am a local (I'm 26). Im having a great night with my friends as it is one of my friends last week in town in which they are in town since they are moving out of town (1/18/2026). This is the day also the 49ers played in the playoffs and lost terribly. I, after spending several hours at the bar, had to use the restroom to which a guy was in the bathroom and talking an immense of talk on the game. I spoke up and said "the 49ners stinked and did not play well". Keep in mind he was in the bathroom line long before me. This guy continues to talk bad about me in particular. He goes to the back of the line to talk to others and i use the bathroom for its purpose. He continues to talk bad about me while I'm peeing and after washing my hands. I speak up to say, "hey, don't listen to this guy as he has been in this bathroom before me and is being weird". Meanwhile, i done my business, washed my hands and was ready to leave all while he, was in the bathroom before me. I am leaving and he grabs my collar and threatens, "don't ever say that about me... insult, insult, insult" something along that lines while grabbing my collar. He lets go and I'm walking away, however, security comes up to me after and grabs me. I ask why? They say, "'we know that guy and you need to leave", even after i explain the case of what happened. They still order me to leave insinuating they know the guy and it doesn't matter what I say, we trust what the creepy bathroom guy says while pushing and shoving me out!!! Wow... glad to know this bar will protect someone who lies and camps out in the restroom before someone whose comes in for years and is a local because they "know" the other person... This clearly seemed like favoritism to me and as this is one of my local bars I've always gone too, i was shocked to experience this. Never will be going here again and for others reading this beware as the security will choose others over you, even if they are liars. read more

It never seems very busy which probably was why it was personally overlooked it all those times. The service isn't bad by any means, a bit relaxed but that's alright. I had no idea that there was a place like Katie Blooms in Campbell. I was used to the crowd at Cardiff which typically is a little older and plays primarily house music (nothing wrong with that btw). Walking into Katie Blooms, seeing the place packed and hearing newer music was a nice change of pace. It's not a bar I'd expect amazing cocktails from but you can for sure get yourself a call drink and I'm sure it'll get the job done. Hot dog man is stationed right outside the venue and there is also a outdoor patio if you need some air at any point. It was a quick stop and I didn't spend too much time here but I think it's worth checking out. read more

Katie blooms is one of my favorite spots in downtown Campbell. It has a nice outdoor area that is super dog friendly, and it's a great corner for general people and car watching on those warm afternoon/evenings. During the pandemic they shut down shop for what feels like a year and completely remolded the interior. It's still a toss up for me, I really liked the neighborhood Irish bar feel of the original interior. I get why they updated it though, to compete with the Santana Row like establishments and attract a more $ crowd. They have an okay happy hour and food selection. Don't expect anything earth shattering, but it will minimally hit the spot for you, I like their wings too (without sauce) as well. Beer and alcohol selection is pretty ample as you can expect from an Irish pub. Friday and Saturday nights here can get pretty nuts - it'll be really busy and challenging to get drinks or a spot to sit/hang. The negative is they tend to be understaffed. Their current staff is friendly and courteous every time. That said I know they are generally understaffed and it shows as you can wait a while from your moment of ordering drink, getting drink, reorder, bill etc. I try to just order my drink immediately on sit down to save time. read more

I haven't got my food yet but I'm writing to say horrible service. I'm sitting outside with my small dog and I've already placed my order, but the server has not come outside in 10 minutes to check in on my and my little dog. It's a hot day and my dog and myself had not been offered water. It's not even busy inside. She has at most 2 tables with couples at each and 1 person at the bar. One would think that since it's a hot day that she would offer water. Even if we had water she probably wouldn't come and fill it in a timely matter. Update after 40 minutes past....Extremely Horrible service. I came with my son 2 months back during the weekend and the gentlemen that served us came out often to check in on us. It's a Tuesday and the waitress is horrible. I'm wanting to order a glass of wine before I leave but she has not come out to check in. I'm certainly not returning here. Came here on a Thursday evening and the weather was perfect! The outdoor seating is amazing for a date or a small group of people. The indoor is nice and modern. I used to come here for dinner and lunch. They have a nice beer selection and they have decent food. However, after my most recent experience last Friday, I'll probably rarely come back. The owner, Jason, and some short, nosey, old waitress completely tainted this place to the point that I don't want to give them anymore of my money. My 3 friends and I (2 guys and 2 girls) came here last Friday. They immediately waived the two guys in without checking their ID's but insisted on checking ours. My female friend is a traveling nurse from Illinois with a temporary ID printed on paper but still with the bar code so it's scannable. Everything was fine until the nosey, old waitress offers her unsolicited opinion and says "that's a fake". Stick to what you know sweetie and just drop the drinks off at the table. Leave the hard thinking to the security guards. The security guards said it was fine because it scanned and was clearly her in the picture. However, the dumbass waitress insisted it was fake so the owner agreed with her instead of listening the his security guards. Nosey waitress and the owner must have a gross thing going on for him to listen so blindly to her. The owner proceeded to be aggressive and treat my friend completely disrespectfully. Even after I pointed this out, he said "this is how I talk", "I'm the owner, write whatever you want about me". So ladies, if you're looking for some unapologetic, misogynist to scream at you, look no further. Honestly, they did us a favor by not letting us in. The bar was packed full of college kids or horny, old, fat people. I've been a customer for over 20 years at this place and it's always been what it is, sometimes it's great and sometimes less than so, but it's always worth going to with great food, good enough service to be satisfied, a great bar and nice ambiance. I always see it as a great place to get friend's together over loud music and drinks and that makes it great. Last night me and my girlfriend decided to have a beer after a meal at a nearby restaurant as we were both pleased to see it opened and actually semi-busy for these covid-19 times. We were greeted by a nice enough hostess, sat at a freshly cleaned table outside and enjoyed our beers. We asked another, older woman if she would turn the heater on for us and without really answering, she just sort of nodded and walked away. She never came back, nor obliged our request. The bartender brought us our drinks and was super cool and chill and I asked him if he would turn the heater on and he did so without an issue.. I don't know his name but he has light brown hair, taller and is very nice. After having a round, we called it a night and the same bartender closed us out. He did so promptly, thanked us for coming, and I signed the check and that was that. Well, as we were having our last few sips, the hostess (not the one that sat us) that we asked about turning on the heater, grabbed our signed tab, opened it, and looked at me with a scoff and said "You know...you're supposed to have food on on THIS." (pointing sternly at the ticket like a high school principal). "It's mandated!", she said with the biggest effing attitude one could muster, seemingly out of nowhere. She walked away mid sentence. My gf and I looked at each other with a "WTF" look and left. Now look, if food was mandated, no problem! I would have zero issues ordering something. But somebody should have told us, but no one did. I firmly understand that these times are stressful for everyone as hours our at a minimum for food service workers, and stuff is changing day by day - so it's stressful. I totally understand this. None of that changes the fact that this sort of approach is straight up wrong, rude, and isn't becoming even at a McDonald's, let alone a joint in DT Campbell. Everyone at this establishment was so nice, that this hostesses approach stood out like a sore thumb. I will be back and be glad to do so, but I am going to avoid this hostess at all costs and I suggest management give her whatever training is needed to get it right. read more

Patty's day and my bf's bday: we got sat and had to wait 30 MINUTES to be helped, when tables around us were being sat, waited on and served. There was an older lady there, leilah I think her name was, that we called over 4 times.. but instead of her coming to offer us at least water, she chose to bus tables! She even stood by the bar, looking around for people to help instead of asking us if we were ready to order, which we were. After asking many workers for help, and them asking her to take out order.. one of the bar keepers had to come to the rescue. 45 minutes later. When we leave, we pay our tab with the bus boy... and this old bitch asks if we paid, we said "yes, we took care of it with Edwin"... she has the AUDACITY to ask Edwin if we even paid our tab!
