First time I've been to the movies since Covid. Haven't been to this theater in maybe 5 years? I saw someone complain about the parking. I guess because I've been here a few times I knew to park in Stop & Shop parking lot. Not a big deal at all. We saw West Side Story at 3:15pm. Anything before 4pm is 30% off. I never went to the movies often because I always thought it was really expensive. Well $10 a ticket felt like a bargain. I guess because of inflation? I don't think 5 years ago, that was a bargain. Within walking distance to plenty of awesome restaurants. It has comfy red leather reclining seats. More importantly the cup holder in between can be lifted up in case you're there with your significant other. I think they have discount Tuesdays but tix for Sunday late afternoon were $23 and change for 2 adults. It was quiet as it was Easter Sunday. Will be back on another weekend for true test. read more

Last night saw the movie Glass in theater one. Second time I was at this theater in a few months. Last time I went had to put paper in my ear so it would not rupture my ear drum. This time thinking it may have just been that movie that day, same Thing happened again. They do not have the sound at an appropriate decibel, way to high and I think it caused permanent damage. Wish I knew someone wasn't going to check my tickets..I wouldn't have purchased one! I literally could've just walked in and sat down in any theater. As someone else stated, there is an EXTREME lack of customer service. Went to the concession stand and waited for one of the four people standing behind the counter to acknowledge my presence, and was ignored. So I said screw it and ended up going back downstairs a little later when their conversations ended to get some popcorn. Myself and my individual came to watch a matinee movie "Missing Link" The staff Sam Amanda and Victor (manager)is not energetic, friendly nor knowledgeable. Staff and management is quick to say no to a question before searching or asking for further assistance. The bathrooms smell terrible I had to go to three stalls to find one with tissue. There is a very tiny parking lot which was already full by the time we arrived. We had to circle the neighborhood for parking, even on a Sunday afternoon. Our movie was sold out & so we opted to go to another theater. I will never come back here because of its location & lack of parking. I should have expected that from Huntington though. I love this theater! Since they redid the theater, this is my favorite place to watch a film. You can book ahead of time on fandango and pick your seats (which are recliners!) it is so comfortable and luxurious. You can't beat the location either, head to dinner before the movie or go to the movies and go out for a drink after. read more

I would rate this location "completely serviceable." I am giving it four stars out of five due to my personal biases for this theater. I will explain more in-depth in my review: AMC Loews Shore 8 is an 8-screen movie theater located in the beautiful Huntington Village, Huntington NY. Owned and operated by AMC, you will find all the typical AMC Movie Theater amenities located at AMC Loews Shore 8. I will review these amenities more in-depth in my review: AMC Loews Shore 8 was 'recently' renovated to include modern chain theater mainstays like recliner seats, massive soda selection, and a more modern aesthetic. HOWEVER, it feels like AMC Loews Shore 8 just missed out on the most modern update of AMC theaters. Perhaps it is because this one is smaller and less important than other AMC theaters that needed upgrades, or perhaps the owner of the AMC Loews Shore 8 angered the CEO of AMC Theaters and did not receive the full, modern upgrade. I am sure one of these is probably the reason why. If you take a look at upgraded AMC theaters, you will see a much more polished, much more high-tech looking theater. The seats...more or less the same. However the BIG self-serve ticket booths, the sushi at the snack stand, some other stuff. AMC dolls up a lot of the other bigger theaters. AMC Loews Shore 8 seems to have an aesthetic in-between the past, less fancy versions of movie theaters and the current style of movie theaters. Not to say that's a bad thing, but it is disappointing. This is your typical theater experience. This theater shows the average gamut of big releases and slightly smaller big releases. The prices for food are insanely expensive. Matiness are only around $10.something, so if you do want to go try to go early. The best part about this theater is how not crowded it is. Even before it switched to reserved seating, I could go to a big movie on a Friday evening and get a good seat. That is COMPLETELY unheard of at other big chain theaters. So I do enjoy that aspect of this theater. Why am I giving this four stars rather than three? Well I live close to this theater, and I enjoy the atmosphere of the town that surrounds it. read more

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Ordered a ticket online to an R rated movie and when waking in the movie the woman questioned me but let me in. Keep in mind I am 18 about to turn 19. Then a man comes in and asks for my ticket and id. I had left my id at home thinking I wouldn't need it because tickets were bought online. The man then tells me to leave and didn't get a refund. Currently here and extremely disappointed. The four teenagers that are currently working seem to have no concept of customer service. The young lady bragged to her friend about shutting down concession an hour early and the popcorn that we paid $10 for is cold and stale. Your soda machine is also out of syrups for nearly all your sodas and the kids you have working here only seem concerned about getting out of work early instead of making sure what your customers are paying for is worth the money. Without a doubt the worst AMC on Long Island August 29th viewing of Operation Finale 9:00 pm Lights could not be turned down low until 20 minutes into the movie. The digital projection was poor as an 8 year old LCD. Entire row of seats in section C from in in 1 position and could not be adjusted . Movie theater is managed poorly and a degrace to AMC and to the patrons. View any movie at any AMC other than Huntington. She verbally abused me and singled me out from my friends. She told me that I had to leave when I was just trying to show my ticket. This theater is terrible and disgusting. I give 2 stars because they have good seats.. but I came here for a movie at night and was locked out of the theatre and had to wait outside in the cold- only to be questioned if I even had tickets.... thank goodness I bought in advance..... they didn't let us buy popcorn, candy, or even a drink. Hopefully if you choose this theatre you are fully equipped with your own popcorn and drinks..... The popcorn at this location is always on point, but some of the auditoriums have poor sound. The music in the movie will be too loud, yet you can barely make out the words that the actors are saying when there is no music in the scene. Someone needs to fix the audio ASAP. It's quite unfortunate that I have to post this review but I'm incredibly disappointed in the service I received this past week. I went with my girlfriend to go see the new Spiderman movie, we received some AMC gift cards for the holidays and wanted to use them towards signing up for Stubs- Alist. First of all, the advertising in the theater is quite misleading as it states "you can see an associate to sign up after the movie" When I spoke to the associate at the theater I was advised the only way to sign up is online. That is false advertising. I attempted to navigate the app and found there is no way to pay by gift card for A-list. I went back to to the associate and asked why this option isn't available? His response was that the app is most likely in the process of updating. I said no big deal and figured I'd call customer service the next day and sign up over the phone. I called customer service and after speaking to two representatives and a manager and holding several times I was told AMC doesn't accept gift cards as a method of payment towards A-list and they dont even understand why. Truly dissatisfied with the AMC brand and I will be sure to let all my friends and family know. read more

Most of this theater is upstairs. The only bathrooms are on the ground floor. If you leave to use a bathroom you miss half the movie traveling to and from the bathroom. How in the world did someone design this theater without a bathroom upstairs is a wonder! read more

We have been going to this theatre for years, however lately we have not been able to get decent seats. Ever since they re-did the seating, yes the seats are comfortable, we can never seem to get a good seat. They reduced the amount of seating by over 50%. So what's the point of having a comfortable seat if you are in the front row 2 feet from the screen? Also the management seems to have gotten very rude lately. My two friends and I bought tickets PRIOR to the showing of Get Out on this past Tuesday night. We had plans for dinner before, so we ended up at the front door of the theater around 8:50, 15 minutes after showtime. There were two other people who had ALSO bought tickets prior to the showing but waiting outside, so I asked what was happening. They told me the doors were locked and the multitude of employees walking around right inside the doors were ignoring them. I began to knock on the door and we continued to be ignored. One employee even walked past us while yelling "were closed you're not coming in sorry". It wasn't until one employee came to the door and said that they weren't letting ANYONE in unless they bought their tickets already. We ALL already bought our tickets. No one bothered to ask. We FINALLY were allowed into the theater to enjoy our movie, which we ended up getting to prior to opening credits. Word of advice: next time ask the customers trying to get in if they already have tickets BEFORE completely ignoring them. read more
