On a Tuesday, I went to see The Super Mario Galaxy Movie at Showcase Cinema de Lux Farmingdale in Aud 14. There is plenty of parking at Showcase Cinema de Lux Farmingdale. I walked in and the staff scanned my ticket. At the concessions stand, I purchased a small popcorn for $9.56. My husband got nachos. Auditorium 14 has powered, customizable fully reclining seats. The theater was clean.

However, when I finally did see the movie, the theater was filthy. We were in theater 8 and they did not clean the theater from the previous showing. There was popcorn all over the seats. The man sitting next to me had mustard in his cupholder. It was awful. During some of the trailers the sound was muffled or sounded like it was underwater so I ended up with a headache before the movie even started. Overall the ease of changing my ticket was great, but I would not be back. I have never been to a movie theater where it was not cleaned in between screenings before and I pray that will be my last.

Their popcorn is fine, definitely use the butter pumps and salt shakers to get it right. And all their soda machines are freestyle so no shortage of choice on drinks. I want to add that I've had their chicken tenders on one occasion and they are a total sleeper, like they are really good for being theater tenders and I've never heard anyone sing its praises so I will. Their fries are those good ones too with some skin on. I've also never had issue with the workers, they are actually all so nice here and very helpful. Always glad to see another movie here.

After sitting around waiting for 30 minutes, we are told "the movie isn't working and will not be shown today". But they said they will NOT be reimbursing us!!!!! The gave us movie passes. I explained to them we came from out of area and rarely go to movies and they couldn't help me. I have NEVER experienced customer service like this before. Employee was extremely rude and not helpful and I will never come back here. And we are out all this money for nothing. I wanted to update: I emailed corporate and they reimbursed me. I find it very sad that the theater could not just do this.

The popcorn was fresh (which always matters more than it should), and everything ran smoothly. Most importantly, Mikey had an awesome time at the movie, which is really what it's all about. What really stood out too was their pricing for birthday parties and events--very reasonable, especially for how easy they make the whole experience. Great spot for kids' parties--welcoming, stress-free for parents, and definitely a place we'd come back to.

Its charming, those walls carry so many memories and history! People are smiling and happy to share what brings them to this theatre! The staff are so friendly, the tickets are little pieces of paper like back in the day and the prices are unheard of. Tickets are $10 for adults $7.50 for seniors. There are combo deals like the one that cost me $10.50 tonight for a small popcorn I couldn't even finish, small drink and candy!! What???? The theatres have seats you can choose when you walk in, no assigning seats here. You can choose to sit somewhere else if say a person with a big head chooses their seat in front of you. This has happened too often and I love I have options now. There are old fashioned seats that rock. For me, I dont need to recline like I'm watching the movie in my bed! I found my new theatre! No more paying $30-40 for a night out at the movies for me anymore! I wish more businesses could turn back the clock and make us feel like what times used to be like. The remodel of the space was done to keep the theater looking like it's always did just cleaner and more comfortable. Although I thought it was a little weird that they ran out of salty snacks at the bar for a full house performance, but regardless the bartenders were so friendly and warm! Last night was my first time at The Argyle Theatre and we watched The Prince of Egypt. I've passed…read moreby for years and always wondered about the quality of their productions. So my husband surprised me with tickets because he knows how much I love Broadway shows. Some of the standouts of the night were- the singing and the use of the screens. The actors & vocalist did a great job, really no weak links, they were clear, they projected all the way up to the balcony, and they carried a strong stage presence. The stage was set up in a specific way for the entire show but the screens helped to enhance the scenes by projecting different images to suggest a change in setting, making it a lot more interesting to watch. Some songs resonated more than others, solely because of the weight of the message they possessed. Overall, very talented artists on Long Island that we enjoyed watching use their gifts to bring joy to others. It didn't have to be perfect to be of great substance. I will note that they loosely interpret biblical events throughout the show, especially toward the end, so a few scenes might make you go huh, but as artists, they truly made it their own. It's nice to offer Broadway-like shows close to home, and to support the arts within our communities.

And what is more exceptional, I purchased tickets months in advance, and due to a personal conflict - could not attend the Saturday afternoon show. So I called the theater - And they happily exchanged for tickets the next day!! My front row seats were phenomenal - just two seats over from my original seats!! The talent is amazing. Dinner and a show in Northport is a must do outing for any Broadway show aficionado!!
