The employees are generally friendly, the bathrooms are clean, and did I mention that the seats are reclinable? Win-win, hello! Either the staff made a honest mistake, or are completely incompetent. Either way, it doesn't matter I was sent to the wrong theater (13 instead of 12). I paid extra to see a movie in 3D (Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grog). So I left Theater 13 when I saw that the Super Mario Brothers was playing, and found a manager who quickly fixed it, hence the three stars over a one star. I didn't want to wait until the next showing which was much later, so he just said go to another theater inside the building. He was very apologetic. What the theater needs to do is have a list of which movies are playing in what theater so there is no mix up like this again. read more

I feel there may be a cash flow issue with AMC. That and a supply chain issue are taking a toll. It cost over $100.00 for 4 tickets and snacks to see a movie. The theater was hot. They were out of cheese for hot pretzels and also syrup for non-diet drinks. Tried choking down unsalted pretzel bites without cheese was tough, but only being able to order diet drinks, which are even more unhealthy than corn syrup laden drinks, was hard. We sat in the very back row, which has a wall between that row and the next row that is too close, I couldn't put the leg rest up or stretch my legs out. If you had to get up, everyone would have to drop the leg rests to allow a person through. The movie was good, as was the sound system. read more

AMC has been around for years. With new competition on the east side of town, word quickly spread AMC might be in trouble. However, here are the reasons I keep coming back: 1. Warm faucet water in the restrooms. One might think this is minor, but on colder days, this is great. Not to mention defaulted warm tap water is more sanitary. 2. Their seats are some of the most comfortable I have experienced and the middle arm rest can be pulled up or put down. 3. They now have the option to have food ordered and delivered to your seat (with the Stubs app and $19.95 a year membership) 4. Dyson hand dryers Con: The bathrooms are not usually clean. Now, they are not as bad as a night venue on a late Saturday night, however, they could be far more cleanly. read more

The movies area pleasant surprise in this otherwise dull mall. There are over 10 theaters in the plaza and the majority of the theaters come with red leather recliner seats that extend and retract. For the prices, they are are exactly what you think a movie theater would be in regards to food. There are plenty of deals that are available so you won't pay as much though. The decor of the theaters is nice and I plan on coming back to try more of the beer and wine selection. read more

It costs a lot for movie tickets these days so I am quite fine with watching most movies on my big screen tv in the comfort of my own home, but when it's a movie that must be seen on the big screen, this is the place to go. Comfortable reclining seats, a stepped up concessions offering and even a little full bar for an enjoyable movie experience. Located inside the Centre of Tallahassee mall, this movie theater and the people it draws are probably the only reason this mall is still alive. There are several pretty good restaurant choices in the new part of the mall that make this a good dinner and a movie choice. read more

Apparently they ran out of small popcorn bag so they told us it was AMC policy that they HAD to sell us the next size up!! The better theater, IMO, in Tallahassee, especially now that there is a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance. Leather recliners, a full (but expensive) bar, discounts on tickets every Tuesdays (and other perks) for Stubs members. (Sign up. It's free.) To mitigate the seating limitations caused by the recliner upgrades, you can buy tickets and reserve your seats online. Avoid the convenience fees by signing up to be a Stubs Insider, which I believe is $15 per year. (I say "believe" because I use a MoviePass card at this theater and therefore cannot use a Stubs membership as well.) read more

This is the only theatre where I will come and see movies. Since the upgrade if the seating and vending it has made coming to the movies more enjoyable. I have to also add that they have a open bar and even featured drinks when certain movies come out. You no longer have to try to rush to the theatre to find a seat because now you can purchase your tickets ahead of time and reserve your seat upon arrival. It def makes it easier for large groups or friends or date night. As much as I love coming to the movies, even though it's sometimes expensive I have been able to subscribe to MoviePass which makes coming to the movies an adventure. read more

Great theater! The seats are extra large, reclining, and have a movable arm rest in case you want to snuggle (or don't want to snuggle) with the person next to you. They also have big cup holders to hold your drink or snack. There are a wide variety of snacks, too - nachos, pizza, popcorn, candy, and more! You could eat dinner here, although beware of movie theater prices. There is a bar, just in case you arrive a little early or want to hang out after your film, complete with a bartender and tvs that generally play sports. My recommendation is to buy your tickets in advance on the AMC website or Fandango. They sell assigned seats, so if you show up late to a popular movie, you and your sweetheart might be seated across the theater from each other. read more

However, I'm still not fully on board with choosing your seat when purchasing your ticket. Tallahassee simply is not a large enough market to implement this system. The AMC is a very nice and convenient theatre. The mall in which it is located is like a ghost town but the theatre keeps it up and going! I went to see a movie there and the tickets were pretty expensive- and the theatres are really small so you need to reserve your spots quickly! I'm going to come across as a curmudgeon here for going with a three-star, but the fact is that I see right through this ruse. My take is that folks are frequenting the cinemas less and less because they can get new release movies on their big ole screens (at home) for a fraction of what they'd pay here. We came to see Goosebumps. We were five (my wife, and three of the chirrens). How much? - $122.50 It's true. We came for the 6:15 showing of the 3D movie (we can watch first-run 3D movies in our own home-theater) and ordered 3 personal pizzas and one chicken-thingie. Add five drinks to that - and it came to $122.50 Naturally, there are fewer seats in each viewing room. The barcaloungers work now, and they recline and all, but this ruse has its days numbered. I love going to the movies. Seeing as I have over 60 check-ins here you can tell that I love AMC. For $15 a year I pay to have the Stub Premiere Members card where I earn extra points whenever I buy movie tickets or food and drinks. I have been going to this movie theater for years and have seen it change to the nice complex it has become. Leather seats in most of the rooms and with their reclining chairs as well. You can purchase tickets online ahead of time and even for those presale popular movies to guarantee your seat. No fighting or having to ask people to move over when sitting down. There is a Dolby Theater that plays hella loud movies. There is 3D and IMAX theaters as well. The concession not only has the usual popcorn and hot dogs, but now they have gourmet fancy offerings that are pretty darn tasty. If you order ahead and connect your Stubs account they will deliver your snacks to your seat if you desire. I also love that they have a full operating bar inside so I can have some wine or liquor while enjoying my movies. I have made friend with a lot of the staff here and have never had real complaints over anything. Overall it is a great place and while some movies are expensive, if you are a member you can watch movies for $5 on Tuesdays or go to a Matinee to pay less than $10 for a showing. Overall, the renovations here have made a world of difference, but I am not a huge fan of the seat choosing business. The reclining armchairs and stadium seating in every theatre makes your experience unbelievably more comfortable than anywhere else I have been. There is even a full bar for anyone interested, though quite costly (as is usual at a theatre). Yet, by allowing you to choose your seat when you purchase the tickets, 1st priority will always go to those who purchase tickets online. You will end up, as I did last night, plonked in the front row and craning your neck to see, even though I purchased the tickets hours ahead of time at the theatre. I'm going for a five star, especially when you consider how this theater used to be. I'm writing this from a fluffy red recliner waiting for Hunger Games pt 2 to start and I'm a veeeery happy camper. The theater itself hasn't changed much, but the recliners are all new and the purchasing/seating process is different. I'm assuming all theaters have big red recliners that have full reclining and foot rests. Gone are the days of praying nobody sits in front of you so you can put your feet up. Seats are coupled by twos, so you have your own arm rest on the outside and share a rest between the two chairs. When you buy your ticket, you have to pick your seat. I'm not in love with the process, it kills the incentive to arrive early and peruse the mall. We're in the back row of a smaller theater but we're close enough to see comfortably. If you're gonna come, come Sunday morning. Two tickets came to $10.30 and we're not soda/popcorn people. Cheap, comfy date! read more

My only complaint today would be that when I walked in the ladies bathroom they had toliet paper stacked in the corner on the floor. This is beyond GROSS and should be a major health violation. I am a huge fan of this theatre. My lifelong struggle has always been getting to a movie early enough to get great seats, snacks, and see the previews. I am one of those people. It will make me livid if I can't get snacks and watch the previews. Anyway, this theatre is amazing because you can select your seats ahead of time and they are reserved. Everything can be on your phone and I've been going through Fandango. I can show up a little later because I already know my seats are saved. Everyone I have talked to who works here has always been super nice. They have soooo many different snack and drink options, even a small bar. It's amazing. Also, they have twizzlers. I know there are 2 camps: twizzlers or redvines. I'm in the right one lol. All jokes aside, very happy with this theatre and will continue to come back! I've been to this AMC since I was in early high school and I have never had a bad experience. I don't remember where the first movie I've seen in here was but I absolutely love this movie theater a hold so many memories of being a kid coming here with your friends or your family and just sitting down and watching a movie. I was a bit taken back when Covid hit and we couldn't come to the movie theaters anymore and everything was now being streamed I'm not a huge fan of streaming movies and TV I'd rather go to the theater and see it because I absolutely love movies I am a movie fanatic. This AMC has changed a lot over the years because I have moved out and came back so many times and every time I do come back and always different it is a bit sad to see a Tallahassee mall closed it was actually my favorite mall in Tallahassee. I'm just glad that the AMC is still standing and doing well because I would be very sad if they want to close down like them all day but I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon but it is good that they update it and keep it new and fresh. read more

I went to this theater for the advance screening of Thor raganarok with my nephew. It was pretty good. They scanned my phone without issue, we were greeted with our lanyards, and tickets for our free large popcorns. We went to the concessions stand and it was literally in & out. We went to our seats which were a part of the newer AMC setup. Leather, reclining, comfy, and large. Our food was delivered on time and actually hot not cold as I expected it to be. The movie was two thumbs up and the overall experience made for a great night. My nephew had a blast. When I'm in town I will be sure to stop by and catch a movie at this location. read more

The upgrades from a couple years ago make this place a great place to see a movie. We love how you can order your tickets in advance and already have your seat saved for you. I feel like I can't go back to movie seats without recliners after the experience here. It's also cool that they added a bar. Everything is somewhat overpriced, as with basically every other movie theater, but my husband seems to get good deals/perks with the Stubs rewards program. Entering through the rear doors you must walk down a couple of under-construction corridors to get to the automated ticket kiosks. The touch screens were a breeze and we walked right in. The seating is BarcaLounger style and super comfy. I have been here a number of times. Each trip is different. So I took the average from them and gave it three stars. Frequently, the aisles aren't cleaned properly, bathrooms are messy with stains, and trashcans are overfilled and unemptied. Other times, aisles are clean, seats are recently wiped, and trash cans emptied. They do a good job at getting new releases and offer a variety of show times. I suggest ordering tickets at the gate to avoid the dreadful processing fees from online reservations. read more
