AMC We decided a Japanese movie called "Kokuho", at selected theaters and the closest one to us was the AMC theater located in the Parks Mall in Arlington, TX. We arrived and went on in to the mall, and found the theater it was on the second floor of the mall. We went upstairs and we're promptly greeted by a very pretty and very sweet young lady named Ms. Madilyn, who was very helpful, welcoming and very polite. We purchased our tickets at the counter that Ms. Madilyn, was working at and she kindly pointed us in the right direction at the auditorium Kokuho would be showed on. The theater was very large wide open and very neat and well organized, as well as the restrooms on both sides of the theater. We purchased our popcorn, drink and candy at a kiosk the only human contact, was when we got our tickets and served our goodies. I won't complain as to how expensive, everything was, but the theater was cold, the seats did not recline, nor did the have a tray table to place your popcorn, luckily the arm rests had a drink holder. This place is way to far out out of way for me to say I will be back again. Maybe if they other movies in a selected theater again. Other than this no complaints. Ms. Madilyn, made it worth the drive. Come say hello to her, and watch a movie. read more

Honestly, the Dolby 3D experience here was a highlight. We watched Avatar: Fire and Ash in Dolby 3D, and the Dolby Vision was stunning -- super immersive and crisp. Scanning online tickets was quick and easy, and concessions moved fast, which is always a win. Some seats around us looked a little sticky, but ours were fine. My only real issues were the seating layout and the walls -- the paired seats felt a bit too close to strangers, and when fully reclined, the walls blocked part of the screen, so I had to sit partially upright. Still, overall a really solid Dolby experience with just a few comfort tweaks needed. read more

Friendly staff, clean theatre, and quick easy-to-use kiosks for ordering food and beverages. The last time I went to a movie theater was in 2020, so it was nice to be back. I only ordered a large popcorn during my visit, so I can't comment on the condition of the actual theater rooms. read more

The theater itself hasn't been maintained well over the years & it clearly shows. The seats were dirty/stained. I get it's old but they need to do some deep upholstery cleaning or spend money to switch them out with something that's easier to clean. Movie quality of screen & the sound was good. Food was okay, but of course overly priced. That's anywhere you go. Hot dog - average, noting special. Popcorn - it's cool that they have more than one option for flavors, the butter station was gross/sticky but I'm sure it's hard to maintain with minimal staff. Mac n cheese bites - nice to have this as an option, these were good. Pretzel - surprisingly my favorite, soft & delicious. Staff was courteous, easy to buy tickets online & pick your seats ahead of time with decent prices. At the end of the movie one of the employees came out immediately to start cleaning, we were alarmed that he immediately started beating the chair next to us with his broom. Our only thought was there was probably a cockroach or something, eek. read more

You know, it's alright. Maybe a little better than I expected after many many years away. The theater seats are still pretty scary to look at with the lights up... The air conditioner was blasting in the lobby and hallways but our actual theater was pretty warm and a little muggy. There was a bar but they didn't have a bartender available until noon. You have to butter your own popcorn and dispense your own drink and find your own candy after paying for it all via self-checkout touchscreen. It costs about $25 for a large popcorn, large (and kinda flat) soda, and candy. We were kinda happy there was no bartender onsite, we saved money hahah. read more

Entrance to the movie was good- person inside scanned our pre-order/purchased tickets. There should be item in menu to purchase "small" size popcorn & small drink. The seating in Theatre 5 desperately needs cleaning- they were correct to warn you to check your seat before sitting. So bought four tickets with food vouchers. Food vouchers were never sent to our email and that is the only way you receive them. So lost $80 there. Then paid $70 for food and drinks so we are up to $150. To get food is so unorganized and whomever came up with this plan should seek other employment because it make ZERO sense. Had I known this place just steals money from u and is gross AF, I would have stayed home and watched this. DIRTY! I've never seen a theatre so complete dirty. It's so bad that we didn't even want to sit on the stained (questionable stains), ripped, seats. They were old, cloth seats that looked at least 3 decades old. The floor was sticky and steady and dust was everywhere. My daughter and I got a refund and left before the movie even started. Wow. Just wow. No one at the tickets booth to buy tickets and no one around tells you where you can buy tickets unless you go and ask everyone working. Ran out of popcorn. Had a long waiting line to make more. Ran out of butter. Ran out of certain drinks and slushees. Ran out of straws but they don't tell you that. And the chairs here aren't like the nice AMC chairs, but the tickets are the same price. I would not recommend coming here at all Go to another AMC or a different theater. read more

Used to love coming to this theater, but as of late it's just gone downhill. The theater seats are never clean and the staff is beyond rude unwarranted. They also never pick up the phone when you call, you have to call at least five times before anyone cares to pick up (some days they just never actually pick up) and when they do answer the phone, they're awfully rude and catty to you for no reason. If some lady named Andy picks up the phone, don't even waste your breath she's just going to be unhelpful and rude the entire time. read more

Purchased tickets 11/12/25 for upstairs handicap area for 3d theatre #1. Go to the elevator to get up with wheelchair and elevator not working. No sign, no nothing. Went to the front to ask and told yeah no it's not working. Told the manager we purchased tickets for upstairs he says yeah I have a ticket open on it will have to move you. Not acceptable. ADA requires it to work. If I wanted seats at the bottom of the theater I would have purchased them that way. Attitude was oh well ... too bad. I scheduled a school field trip with The Parks at Arlington AMC Theater. When a problem occurred, the general manager and manager did not hesitate to remedy the problem. The students had a great time watching the movie and comparing it to the novel we read, "A Wrinkle in Time." I'd like to thank both Mr. Thacker and Mr. Shoto for making our movie date possible. This place is disgusting.. Went to watch Smile 2 and expected reclining seats. Nope, worse. The seats are still from when they opened... crusty, smelly, and dirt stained seats. Cup holders looked as if they have never been cleaned in years. Gum stuck under arm rest too. Inside the actual movie room smelled like a McDonald's play pen. Absolutely disgusting. What's even worse is that AMC still charged the normal fee of around $12-$13 a ticket to sit in some nasty, smelly, probably body fluid infested dried seats. Save your money and just wait till you can rent and stream it. read more

This place is just so run down it's hard to give a good review. Whenever we visit the restrooms are always dirty or have no TP. We buy popcorn and there's no butter, the drink machines don't have half of the flavors. The cinema screens sometimes have a musky smell and last time my seat didn't heat or recline. It's just disappointing and we actually only come here for the imax because it's not worth it for a normal movie. read more

What a complete dump. I only checked in to say how bad it was. We came for the imax and this place is disgusting. The way they handle the snack line is pathetic. It's all through an ordering system that the customer uses and then goes and waits in another chaotic area while the workers yell out orders. It's the dumbest system I've ever seen and it's chaotic. The bathroom was a swamp. Disguutoilet water literally covered the floor. We will never come back. I'd rather go to the nice Dolby theatre by my house. This was a good experience for my first visit . Adult prices are very reasonable as I paid roughly $9 for an adult ticket . The theater is located above the skating rink, next to the food court and the Dicks sporting goods. Box office was empty on a Sunday but the digital box office was open to purchase tickets . The theater was noticeably clean without any debris or popcorn on the floor. Surprisingly pretty spacious from what I envisioned it being located inside the mall. Screen was clear and sound was great. I saw the Insidious movie and there was more commentary than necessary. Seats didn't recline and wasn't the most comfortable , but they were ok . This theatre is raggedy. I spent $40 on two tickets and ONE large drink for the seats to not even be recliner and the machine to be out of half of their drink options. The lighting is horrible and this is the first theatre I've ever been to where they don't have the title of the movie playing showcased on the door. This theatre is worth $7 tops. I am okay with loud laughing or cheering but when everyone is talking and having commentary the ENTIRE movie then it takes away from feeling like you are in the movie. First visit to this theater and saw Top Gun in Imax (theater 1) and my impression? GROSS. Everything in this theater was filthy. It was disturbing. We entered the theater as a staff person was exiting after "cleaning" and it was still a mess. Popcorn and food wrappers still on the seats and floors. The seats were grimy and gross. It was the kind of place I would expect to pay discount prices in, certainly not an Imax. At the snack bar, we were the only people there ordering anything and they still managed to get our order wrong. It was bizarre. And the surfaces around the drink machines were gross and in disrepair as well. The only reason for 2 stars - the few employees were did encounter were all very nice. This first impression was all we needed. We will not be back. AMC needs to look at a serious remodel of this location as it is in dire need. They also need to do a better job with signage as it was very confusing to figure out how to enter this location as there is no direct exterior entry. read more

My husband and I went to a movie here last night. Having lived in Arlington for over 25 yrs the theater was so disappointing. Dirty and unorganized, no condiments or napkins. Counters were gross! The staff were busy like ants but not working for the experience....more focused on getting you done at the counter. We spent some where around $75 on tickets & food.....the movie was awesome... but AMC needs to look closely at their theater considering the movies were packed. read more

We were surprised at the cost per ticket, higher than we are used to and the seats were not recliners. Three stars is quite right for an AMC inside of a mall. I have been to this location many times, and have only encountered issues a handful of times. Overall, this location looks okay, especially for the high volume. Inside of the theatres, nor in the common areas, have I encountered excessive wear. The concessions are well stocked, and they are a location with a decent sized bar. It is pointless to complain about price of food or tickets, as that is not going to change anytime soon, and is something to expect when attending a mainstream theater. Here are the issues I have experienced: Last night I went and saw A Simple Favor. Roughly 5 minutes before the film was over, the screen went dark and the lights came up. The place was maybe at 1/5th capacity, and my fellow patrons were getting pretty upset. In previous experienes in which a similar thing has happened, management enters and directs everyone to the front to obtain a voucher. Since this wasn't the case, everyone waited. About 30 mins actually. No one came and the next showtime just started. Later, it was determined that it was theater wide. However, when I went to leave (resigned to not finishing my film) a staff member was indiscriminately passing out the vouchers. I explained that my whole theater was sitting in and waiting. She looked disinterested. There is a urinal in the Mens room that has most literallty had an "Out of Order" sign on it since 2016. Yesterday as I was leaving, there was a pool of vomit sitting by the stairs that had been there for some time. In 2017 I attended a showing of a film at this location and the wrong film played for 30 mins, suddenly cut off, and the right film came on. Only once have I seen more than 1 cashier at the ticket booth, regardless of the time or day of the week. More than once all of the automated kiosks have been out of order, or out of paper. When school is on break it is pretty inaccessible. Moreover, I have waited in the concession line more than 40 minutes on 2 occassions. The location of this one is pretty good in my opinion, and if you park between Nordstrom and DSW you can walk through that small breezeway and be in a good position. I feel that Eastchase 9 is superior and worth the drive, or if you can get to a Movie Tavern or Alamo you will likely have a better time and experience, but for what this place is, it does the job. read more
