    Coca-Cola Freestyle machines

WOW! AMC Woodbridge has definitely turned itself around after my last visit here over a decade ago when I was a UCI student. The entire theatre underwent a full renovation, but I've never managed to have the chance to check it out, until yesterday. No longer are half the seats broken/partially-functional, they don't smell, the video isn't distorted, sound isn't weird, air isn't humid and campy. The seats here are all recliner style - plush and leathery. They sorta remind me like the first class seats on Alaska Airlines (I fly on AS a lot). Each seat is clearly labeled (to help with seat thieves), reserved seating when you book via the app, and a three-button panel that lets you recline the seat, as well as tri-level heating element. The great thing about this theater is there are only five screens/rooms. It's in a very compact space, which is a plus - if you need to go for a pee break during your movie, you don't have to run clear across the building (looking at you, AMC Orange) to relieve yourself. The restroom is just outside all five rooms. Concessions stand is also nearby the screening rooms as well, so you can get your popcorn or soda refill (they have two Coca-Cola Freestyle machines here) - as well as all the other condiments. Each of the screening rooms have a really nice seating arrangement. The rooms aren't vast and wide like AMC Orange, but more intimate/cozy. There are fewer seats - which make for a better viewing experience if you ask me - fewer people. Concessions were good as you can expect them to be for a theater. Prices were definitely higher - but there's not many food options in the plaza if you plan to stay here and watch back to back movies like I did. I picked up Movie Nachos and a soda - the nachos were great! Sign up for their AMC club to get points for your next food purchase. All staff that I ran into yesterday were super friendly - including the first guy who was wearing a AMC polo but didn't have a name tag - who offered me a paper ticket after he scanned my app and I inquired about their AMC Kiosk (they don't have one here). I usually like to save paper tickets in a scrapbook, as a collection of all the movies I see at a theater. Jordan was the other ticket taker I spoke to for the second movie I watched - and he was equally friendly and personable. Really great and friendly staff here!!! Finally, parking is awesome here. Again, comparing to my experience at AMC Orange - parking is free and you're steps from the theater entrance. AMC Orange at the Block requires you to navigate through their mall to get to the theater, but you don't have to deal with that over here at AMC Woodbridge. If you're able to deal with the limited screenings, this is definitely a great spot to grab a movie. There's a Yogurtland in the plaza for after-showing desserts - sucks that the Ruby's diner closed down though.

I came to this amc last night to see the new weapons movie! They have half off tickets every Tuesday and Wednesday, which is such a steal. I appreciate that there is a movie theater conveniently located in this area. This theater is on the smaller side, but they still have recliner and heated/ac seats, as well as a full snack bar. The workers were very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back to amc Woodbridge to see the latest new films :)

We just found this location and it has become a favorite. Very clean inside with comfortable chairs and amazing sound. The staff is awesome and you'll find the best merch as well.

This theatre is such a hidden gem. I came to watch the Accountant 2 and I now want to come watch all movies here. It is a smaller theatre but so clean and with incredibly friendly staff. Parking is right in front of the theatre and there is plenty of space. Even the bathroom was in order and the female one offered toiletries for those in need of them which was a lovely detail. The seats recline and people were respectful. They have yummy snacks available and food as well.

Comfy recliner seats and a very clean theater!

Smaller location but it's really quaint and well-maintained. The staff are friendly and do a great job keeping the place very clean and tidy. The snack selection is pretty good considering this is a bit smaller than your average AMC: fresh popcorn, pretzel bites, nachos, hot dogs and of course lots of candy. The theaters are nice as well. The refurbished seats are recliners and you can also choose various levels of heat to get nice and cozy.

I love this theater!! Staff is ultra friendly and their spirit reminds me of Disneyland! Even though it was super busy they don't try to rush you through your order and is actually helpful! The chicken tenders had a nice crunch and it never disappoints. The pretzel bites are a bit oily though and perhaps a bit too salty so that can be an improvement. The seats are comfy and the theater feels clean and comfortable. Will continue to come here if they maintain the cleanliness and friendliness!

The ambiance alone makes it feel like a whole experience, not just drinks. We tried a few of their specialty cocktails, all super well done, but the real highlight was our server John. He was amazing -- attentive, fun, and clearly knows his drinks. At one point he made us an off-menu cocktail that was STRONG (in the best way) and honestly one of my favorites of the night. And the attention to detail?? He even let me borrow his hat for photos so I could fully commit to the camping aesthetic 10/10 for the vibes. Overall: such a cute, unique spot for a night out. After a farewell dinner to/at Gulliver's Prime Ribs Of Beef, our party of six continued the evening several miles away at Stowaway for some light bites and libations. Personally, I was all about the Hawaiiana tiki culture and tried to live it every day. Founded by co-owners Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, its current home of barely three years in a former dive bar came about when they unceremoniously had to leave the original location. With its proximity to Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room and the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture, they found their footing with a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, and tropical trimmings. Would I stow myself away somewhere inside and never leave!? PURCHASE(S) Don Q Punch Bowl ($38.00): Made with Don Q's Cristal Silver, Anejo, and 151 Gold Rums, respectively, peach brandy, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, this flaming concoction was rumtastic in every way possible as the tropical juices just made it that much sweeter. There were more ice chips than I liked, but it was a fun trough to drink out of for the four of us who wanted to imbibe. Coconut Shrimp 6pc ($12.00): Breaded and flash-fried plump shrimp served with a sweet chili dipping sauce, these were tasty and perfectly paired with the Don Q cocktail I was drinking. Stowaway Fries ($17.00): Constructed with a pile of crisp golden spud sticks, rum braised pork, and topped with a hearty gravy and sunny-side up egg, this loco moco fries dish was slamming while the slightly charred juicy pork had me squealing with enjoyment. SERVICE We had reservations, so once our entire party arrived, they quickly seated us in a cool cave-live separate alcove for more privacy. Our server arrived with menus, suggestions, and glasses of water. Minutes later, we all ordered at once, and everything (drinks and food) arrived within ten minutes. Because we had another reservation inside the same bar, we informed our male server and to let us know when we were allowed to go there. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located within a strip mall, you opened the front door and walked into an island oasis as if you were a cast member on "Gilligan's Island" with thatched roof material above you, tiki statues displaced on all of the volcanic-looking walls, collections of tiki mugs past and present for purchase, a central square bar with plenty of stools, and seemingly small dark nooks and private spaces where naughty things could happen. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights barely guided you along. There were no TVs while I recalled various styles of music played in the background along with chatter and clamor of conversations in all directions. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL I had a cowabunga time at Stowaway, and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I loved tiki bars, and although this was generally out of my range, I'd make a special trip or two here. My one drink was lip-smacking good, the pupus were yummy, the prices were reasonable enough, the atmosphere was stupendous, and the service was friendly and professional. While the drinks menu was loaded with tropical cocktails, an impressive rum selection, and a decent assortment of local craft beers, the food menu was somewhat limited. And, the bar had happy hour TU-FR 4pm-6pm. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $75.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great, but unfortunately the hostess experience kept it from being a full 5-star night. I had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:35, but waited nearly 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The hostess was quite rude and told me we had lost our table because we were "late," even though I had been standing there waiting to be helped. She eventually seated us at a dirty table and the overall interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Thankfully, our server Omar completely turned the night around -- he was kind, attentive, and very helpful. The manager Dave was also amazing and made sure we were taken care of. The food and drinks were excellent. The cocktails were delicious, the hummus with warm pita was fantastic (definitely ask for extra bread!), and the melted cheese with toasted bread was a highlight. The fries were uniquely cut and perfectly cooked, and the calamari was top-notch. The view and ambiance make this a great place to relax with friends over tapas and drinks. I would come back again for the quality of the food, the beautiful setting, and the wonderful service from Omar -- but I do hope management addresses the front-host experience, as it really sets the tone for the evening.
