This is the closed AMC and we visit frequently since we have had Alister for over 10 years. This theater is located in the always business Tustin District in the center next to the water fountain. The staff here are always super chill and the rooms are always clean and tidy before every show. They are super chill so yes you can bring your water bottle/snacks in, they literally don't care. They have all the premium formats at this location from IMAX laser, Dolby, Prime, Real 3D, and digital standard. They do have showings with open captions too for certains movies. You can also get the close caption CaptiView device from the service desk if you need subtitles. Its a device that sits in the cupholder that has closed captions or audio descriptions. Its great for those friends/parents where English isn't a first language so they can read the dialogue since accents are hard to understand for them. The seats are comfortable with fully recliners in all auditoriums and heat/cooling recliners in some of them. The restrooms are always super clean and the snack bar is on point too with fresh popcorn always. The best deals are the Tue/Wed 50% off nights for matinee showing too for those without AList! Ever since my boyfriend became an A-lister, we've frequented the Tustin AMC the most and it has never let us down. Workers are always friendly and the theaters are cleaner than others. Movies are shown on time (aka 20 min after listed showtime) and display and sound quality is amazing. Seats recline and we've never had issues. Restrooms are always clean too. This review is mainly for the new popcorn chicken. Delicious *for movie theater food*. We never ate at movie theaters because the food tasted like school lunch but this popcorn chicken was at least one step above that :) It only comes in maybe a total of 20 small thumbpad sized bites so be warned. You will not get full from one box. We finished the popcorn chicken within 5 minutes of sitting down, and that's with us eating slowly. Still a good choice if we're not feeling actual popcorn! Came with the team for team bonding to watch Devil Wears Prada 2. Rentef the theater for a private screening and it was a lot of fun. When the tea is made up of 1/3 gay guys and 1/3 girls, the 1/3 straight men get to suffer. :-) There were 14 of us so the snack order took a bit. The. I've started. It we asked the. To rewind and restart and they gladly obliged, the. Even toon a few pictures of us at the theater. Follow the sign to where the big AMG logo is and Park near it, it's the closets to the theater. We came to watch The Odyssey in IMAX today and the sound of the IMAX surround sounds were perfectly loud for this movie. The recliner seats were very comfortable and includes a seat warmer. The food was delicious and pricey. They even had a bar here with lots of drink selections. The employees were friendly here but when we were leaving, the trash cans were over filled. That was the only concern but this is a great theater. I will definitely come back again soon read more

$16 SERVICE FEE to place your ticket order ONLINE?? That's INSANE!!!! Like times weren't tough enough with everything being so expensive, this theater has the audacity to charge people who just want to get their family out of the house this fee. We did this online to not only make the process of getting my entire family into the movies easier so that the family don't have to wait in line and my elderly grandma doesn't have to wait in line, but it also makes it convenient for the staff to not have to deal with checking people in as well. It's just a slap in the face to the consumer. This process should be convenient for the families but also for the company to make it easier for everyone yet they charge an ENTIRE EXTRA TICKET PRICE to do so. read more

Excellent, close free parking/easy entry/concessions (service was great) moves quickly regardless of membership status/excellent signage/unlike the other theater, this AMC had clean, floors that aren't sticky! Legit closed the theater on my best friends birthday and he's an A lister. Not only that but to resolve all the refunds they only had one person refunding at a time while everyone else was either sent home or was cleaning. They said it was because of a fire alarm not a fire like what there was no firefighters anywhere and no alarm going off when I got there. Do better. read more

This theater takes the words "just sit back, relax, and enjoy" into literal context. Reclining seats with plenty of feet room, spacious seating, and yummy snacks. All you need to do is literally sit back, relax, and enjoy the movie. Hubbie and I came to watch "Marty Supreme" today (amazing movie by the way!), and had a great experience. We ordered our tickets online, got to choose our seats in advance, and they even offered a discount! I was a bit hungry so we ordered large popcorn, chicken tenders, and a large coke. Everything came out around $25, which is not bad. What's even better was that their chicken tenders were delicious! It took a bit of time to prepare, but they were cooked so well. Inside the theater, everything was clean and the room temperature was perfect. What I really loved was the spacious seats they offered. I could comfortably excuse myself outside without worrying about bothering those around me. I will definitely choose to come back to this theater. Do save yourself some time to find parking, as The District can get busy at times. Other than that, sit back, relax, and enjoy your movie! read more

Nestled in the Tustin District area, this theatre has a great entrance presentation. There are kiosk set up to purchase tickets, choose seats, and pre-order snacks. The have a rewards system on their app to use. Very clean and well lit areas. Easy to find your particular theatre number. Restrooms located on both ends of the theatre. Seat rows are elevated for easy viewing versus looking over someone's head. Heated recliner seating. The arm rests need some re-upholstery as they are all pretty worn (see picture). ADA seating also available. Overall, a nice theatre. Good sound and picture quality. read more

4+ This AMC location is pretty large with 14 screens and is located in a Tustin shopping center with nice eateries and a large Whole Foods across the way. The area and theater is pretty clean and easy to get to. Folks are friendly and the concessions are pretty standard when it comes to AMCs. Popcorn was delish as usual. Came here and watched 'Friendship' in 5/2025 which is a quirky, black comedy comedy, so there wasn't a lot of effects, etc. or basically it's a movie where you don't need all the bells and whistles that modern movie theaters tend to offer. The theater was comfortable and more than enough for this movie going experience. Definitely a great location and if I was in the area, I would definitely check out movies to watch at this location and am curious to utilize their more premium theater options for movies that would suit that experience. read more

This is a good sized theater with comfortable reclining seats that have a heating feature. The staff is always nice and helpful. One thing is they don't seem to clean up in between screenings. Last time I was here to see The Materialists (interesting movie, more serious than it advertised, Pedro Pascal is daddy) and there was popcorn all over the floor. Overall a great place for movies, but improvementa can be made on cleanliness. read more

This is easily one of the best AMCs in OC if you're looking to watch a movie in a premium format. The chairs could use an update, but overall it's a solid theater in a nice outdoor shopping center. Parking can get a little tricky when it's busy, so plan ahead. I watched Tron: Ares in Dolby, and I was in awe. The experience stuck with me so much that I ended up signing up for AMC A-List just so I could go back and watch it again in 3D IMAX. The IMAX screen here is noticeably larger than the one at AMC Orange. I saw Tron in 3D IMAX at Orange, but Tustin definitely had the better experience -- the screen just feels so immersive. And with Dolby, the sound and motion effects made every moment feel larger than life (yes, the seats shake -- in the best way). (84/100) read more

So after a few years of living away from the Irvine area, but still in the OC area this is my GO TO theater! The chairs are still working well! They are heated and fully recline (in the generic theaters not the Dolby or specialty theaters) The staff is AMAZING and friendly. We enjoy conversing with them when we get a chance and they truly want to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. The amount of movies playing here is usually a good variety for the size of the theater and they still manage to keep it pretty clean! 10/10 come here!! :D read more

This amc tustin at the district is my go to spot to watch movies. I love the recliner chairs, reserve seating helps so much. the screen are big, good sound system with the dolby and there's even imax here. the staff here are friendly, lots of parking, nice area to shop, eat, drinks before the movie. The concession stands has a variety of food and drinks also. I love how you can get your own drinks/refill, they even have a slushee machine. overall i really enjoy this movie theatre. read more

3.5 Stars! Man, I have been holding back on this review. I have such strong feelings and nostalgia that made it tough to give it a fair rating. I will try to rate this movie theater as location and share thoughts AMC as a chain. The Good. My goodness. AMC A List is legit! Book up to 4 movies per week and all movie formats and fees included for around $28/month. I am not sponsored but I wish I was. I told all my friends about it and none of them signed up... Haha. I spent this summer signing up for the minimum 3 months and it was a fun road and it's bitter sweet that I had to cancel it. I love love love the fact that AMC has Coke Cola. Seriously, cough Regal Blah! If anyone every asks me if Pepsi is okay as a substitute, slapping them in the face Will Smith style plus the owner and manager too. It should be allowed. The fact that AMC pays a few cents more for Coke over Pepsi means that they appreciate their customers. I know I should not drink soda but when I do I enjoy the 100 flavor combo Coke machine. Parking is plentyful. My favorite format is Dobly Digital. IMAX is not true IMAX and Prime has great sound but the recliners don't go back all the way down. Overall sound and picture quality is amazing in almost every theater and the stadium seating meaning your view is not blocked by the people in front. However, don't sit too far back if you are an old fart with worsening vision. The higher up the farther you are from the screen. The staff members in Tustin are super chill and most times the ticket person stands and walks up to greet me when I enter. Amazing service give everyone a raise if the manager is reading this review. The Bad. I remember AMC being the premier experience back in the day. Their slogan is literally "We Make Movies Better". The feels I get is actually what Nicole Kidman describes before each movie starts. AMC as a whole has become an average experience while Regal has been finding ways to improve the in theater experience (not counting perks and Pepsi). Experience is everything. It has to be worth driving to see a movie rather than streaming the movie or renting digitally. The Tustin AMC was so much when it was new. The bathroom really feel like it's cleaned once a week or month. It has the same smells like the pee content of a average sideway in DTLA or SF. The popcorn is fresh about 1/5 times. Most of the time it tastes premade or they need to make more because they barely have enough. Given the record profits AMC had in summer 2025, I guess they are doing well. The Ugly This really grinds my gears. The small things are what bring my rating down from perfection. The little things that are rundown or bad quality that are never addressed. The bathroom never feeling clean and the one soap dispenser that works while the others don't. The prison quality toilet paper and all the other cut backs we know are in place to turn a profit for AMC stock holders. It is very noticeable the more often you visit. Especially for Alist members. This is Tustin. I repeat. AMC Tustin is not Irvine. Not to sound like Karen but the difference is noticeable. I am not a fan of the AMC Barranca in Irvine. However, the seats are newer at that location even though the theater is older than when dollars costed a dollar, comfie seats make the experience more than the picture and sound at times. The seats in Tustin are a roll of the dice. Prime seats only go down about 2/3 of the way and the touch buttons semi work. Also, back to the not Irvine. Some teenagers or dogs or other creatures love to chew and rip up the armrest to the point that the leather is gone. It's so annoying most are in the middle seats. I know why a lot of people pick the edge seats now. If you are an Alister, I highly recommend you come when the lights are on and find the best seats without ripped armrest. AMC stop being cheap and fit your seats! Lastly, the Air conditioner during the summer was a joke. I want it to be so cold that every Karen complains to the manager. Let me explain. Some people have some serious BO. I used to bring a sweater in case the theater is cold, most of the time I wish I wore shorts. I think they turn up the temp in empty movie theaters but sometimes in pack showings too. I went a lot during the summer and maybe 25% of the time my experience was cold. The BO and sweat smell was horrible on some patrons especially when I happened to get popcorn. Blah. I lost my appetite. The people on the other side of me literally held their shirts over their noses. Solution everyone take a shower jeeze!!! And AMC crank the AC day and night stop cutting cost. This is my top movie location. It is an over great experience, but I will have to go elsewhere for true IMAX. read more

Went to watch the WORLD CUP INAUGURATION GAME MEXICO VS SOUTH AFRICA and it was a DISASTER during the game when the Screen turned off when South Africa had a free kick to score. Total inconsideration on part of the girl usher that refused to give free passes only to the other theater that had the same problem. She said since no one complained from my theater she couldn't give us free passes, but she had me right in-front telling her about the problem and other people in my theater telling her the same thing. She had a hand full of passes and acted like they were coming out of her pocket. It's the money that came out my pocket to watch the game in its entirety without interruptions and AMC TUSTIN FAILED!!!! RUDE YOUNG STAFF THAT POWER TRIP. I WILL NEVER COME BACK. Saw the Odyssey on Friday 7/17 in Dolby theater. There is a giant plastic rattle sound from the speaker on the right side of the theater. I sat in the G row and it was really was quite annoying and sorta ruined parts of the movie. Not sure if people complained in person over the weekend but needs to be looked at. I wouldn't see a movie in Dolby till that's fixed. read more

I have an AMC pass and recently visited this theater to watch How to Train Your Dragon, the live action version. While selecting my seats via the app, I noticed and was surprised at how many theater screen selections there are! I think there's like IMAX and larger extended screens, and 4Ds, etc. The theater itself had really interesting reclining seats that go almost all the way back to the point where you're almost laying down/backwards! The food selection here is like all the others, but it seems like they charge for every little addon now, aka it's about $1 for a side of jalapenos. Theaters were clean, seats were well maintained, and overall experience was good! There's also plenty of parking here towards the back and front of the theater. read more

The chairs are all scratched up and half the time my seat warmer is broken. It really needs some TLC! Please replace your seats! It needs attention! Went to the theater for the first time, saw Minions and Monsters, everything about our experience was amazing, a great time was had by all. The concession workers were fast, friendly, very accommodating, wanting to make sure we enjoyed our treats, the popcorn was fresh and warm. The theater was so nice, welcoming and clean. There's enough restrooms at both ends of the theater that were nice and clean. Had an issue with the chair, the recliner and heater weren't working, the worker was able to fix the issue before the movie started. He was kind and friendly. I will be returning ! read more

This is my 3rd AMC visit ever after switching from Regal. I was recommended to go here because it was the "nicer" AMC. While I did enjoy the heated portion of the recliner, the recliners themselves are small and extremely creaky. If this is the nicest AMC in Orange County, I will be switching back to regal as their popcorn buckets are bigger and their recliners seats are bigger and more comfortable. I just saw though that the employees here were VERY nice!! read more

The usual go to theater for me. Spacious with reclining seats (most of the regular seating even have a feature to make the seat warm) in each auditorium and certain releases in prime and imax! Parking can be a bit of a pain especially in peak times like Friday night. Definitely sign up for the A-List membership if you watch a movie more than once a month! read more

The theaters are in good condition, and the Dolby/Laser equipment provides a nice experience. The restrooms are also big and clean, and the staff is usually nice and quick. The downside is that it can be hard to find parking in the District, which isn't the theater's fault. But you'll want to factor in time to park. read more

After realizing that I left my wallet behind in the theater after finishing a movie, I drove 20 minutes back to the theater. I let the guy checking tickets know and asked if they might have found it. He said they didn't find anything left behind during my screening. I asked if the next showing had already started and if I could go check myself. He lied and insisted that the movie had already started. I asked if he was sure and if maybe the previews were still showing. He confirmed that the movie already started and I would have to come back in the morning. This is my regular AMC and we all know there are 20-25 minutes of previews. He finally said he would see if a manager could go and check. Thankfully, the manager was able to escort me directly to the seat where I found my wallet and left. She was nice about it but I don't understand the guys problem in making it a big deal in the first place. Of course the movie wasn't even close to starting. read more

Came here expecting a cinematic experience... left feeling like I just watched Netflix in a fancier chair with more germs. The popcorn? Fire. The seats? Kinda comfy but suspiciously sticky. The staff? Sweet but clearly over it like me trying to parent after 8 PM. And can someone explain why the soda machine always looks like it just survived a toddler riot? I understand that Covid really hurt the movie and entertainment industry. All of us have had to compromise in some ways, but it should not effect the quality of the movie experience. This theater lacks management. From my observation yesterday, this theater is run by the employees who do a minimum amount of work and the signs are everywhere. The theater is dirty and deteriorating before your eyes. The seats have rips in them and the bathroom had trash on the floor. The attendance is less than a quarter of what I remember prior to Covid. The employee who takes your ticket was reading a book. When I exited the theater, an employee stood there with a broom and dustpan and looked at me. I told him the bathroom was a mess with unflushed toilets and trash on the floor. He just smiled at me. The sound was very loud, the quality of the experience was okay. The movie was excellent. I really hope the management trains their employees how to clean. read more

Theater is starting to show some wear and tear but overall still have comfortable recliner seating and discount Tuesdays and Wednesdays so it is still my go to theater in this area. I love this theater! It's a nice size, not tiny and not huge, and it's surrounded by a ton of shops and restaurants. Also if you go with a senior citizen, they wont feel like they have to walk a mile just to get to the seats. Some of the theaters are on the small side, but all of them have reclining heated seats. And every aisle has sufficient room for others to walk by, even when the seats are reclined all the way. I always look forward to turning on my heated seats, even on a hot summer day, cuz that's when the AC is on blast, and I can get a bit chilly inside. It's super easy to reserve your seats ahead of time too. I use Atom tickets, which doesn't have all the fees that the other movie ticket sites have. There's also good food, snacks, and gelato served in the theater. Love the fountain out front as well. It's pretty much an overall perfect theater. read more

The Tustin and Woodbridge AMC Theaters are our go to theaters. This location has more screens and movie options plus tons of restaurants and quick serve spots in the plaza. Compared to the Woodbridge theater, I like how the rows aren't so close together, so there is less distraction from the rows in front of and behind you. I also like how these seats recline more than Woodbridge's seats. The location needs some attention with the upkeep. Some of the seats are really cracked and flaky, some do not having working heaters. My biggest complaint here is with the restrooms, which are usually dirty or out of order. read more

We were in Theater 5 over this past weekend. We went to see the new Insidious movie. That was a total bust by the way. Skip that one until it's included on a streaming service. The movie was disappointing. The seating was equally disappointing. Chairs were messed up and ripped. And the chairs are not big enough for a full-sized adult. I have curves and a voluptuous bottom half. I couldn't sit comfortably in the chairs without my side curves overflowing to the sides. The seating was so small that my thighs and sides pressed up against the buttons for the chair controls. Super annoying because my chair was hard to move, and the seat heater kept turning on when I wasn't intentionally pressing it. My thighs were rubbing up against the button and kept turning it on during the movie. My seat would be on-fire, and I would have to stand up to turn it off again. And try to sit in the chair so that it wouldn't rub and turn on the heater. This was so frustrating. Thiccc girl problems, I guess. We most likely won't be back to this theater. read more

Great cinema and wonderful food options. Been coming to this branch of amc for many years and have an amc stubs membership. However I came in and stood to scan my tickets however two employees of amc saw me and person with me yet literally walked away. I called to them .. confused .. lots of people yet no one wanted to scan our tickets two employees walked passed us , saw us .. no one in the greeting area .. just us abandoned Awkward interaction and no greeting .. they saw us but didn't care to scan our tickets we stood for a while and nothing happened . This is my favorite go-to theater in the OC out of all the AMC's. It's always clean and the theater seating is all reclining which I love. Plenty of parking surrounds the theater and there are places to eat around as well but AMC does offer a small selection of finger foods as well as their delicious popcorn. Saw a movie in Dolby and it was a great experience. The employee scanning tickets was pleasant to interact with and the concession line went by quickly. I was able to order a popcorn, drink, and make it to my seat in time for my movie within 10 mins. The auditorium was clean and there wasn't any signs of trash on the ground like some other theaters may have. I would definitely come back to watch a movie especially since there's so much parking at The District and other restaurants to dine at before or after a movie. read more
