Favorite pizza place!! I'm so happy I live nearby. It's quick to order online, then pick up 15 mins later. I love the staff- always so friendly, welcoming, and they'll even load my order into my car for me. VERY IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE: I've tried multiple Ameci's locations and they are NOT all the same. This specific location is the best out of the ones I've tried. I don't know how they do it, but the potato wedges are seasoned so well and always have the perfect crisp. The texture they managed to get is unrivaled. One of our favorite things to do is cater an entire tray when we have visitors. Our favorite pizza is one of the make-your-own with garlic, Italian sausage, red onion, mushroom, and pepperoni. Our guests didn't believe this combo is the best, so we ordered 5 other different pizzas and this was the clear winner. You'll thank me later ;) Calzones- I'm not a fan of ricotta so I'm the only one who removes this. The bread on the calzone is just to die for! I love stuffing mine with the meat lovers option. Popcorn chicken is pretty standard. This is the only place I've ever tried fried ravioli, so while it's good, I don't have anything else to compare it with. We haven't tried any of the sandwiches yet, but that's going to be next! I know they'll be just as good as everything else on the menu! read more

Almost 30 years ago, I went to Dixie Canyon elementary school in the area and they sold Ameci's pizza slices once a week for a dollar. I remember as a kid thinking it was the best pizza ever and I'd get a slice or two every week. Fast forward 30 years, I moved back to my home town and drove past Ameci's. I dropped by for nostalgic reasons and picked up a large cheese pizza. Tasted exactly the same as when I was a kid in elementary school. Made me realize that my palate was very limited and different as a 10-year old kid. I don't think it's the best tasting pizza in the world, but it's definitely a pretty good pizza for the price (they have a killer walk-in special). read more

I have been eating at various Ameci's for many years. I am always satisfied with the food and service. However, tonight's experience in ordering online compels me to warn others. Several inexcusable problems just ordering: 1. The online order (through their website, amecipk.com, followed to from Yelp) actually goes through DoorDash, but you are not made aware of this unless you happen to scroll way, way down to the bottom of the page. 2. Upon "checkout", AFTER entering payment info, they tacked on an undisclosed "service fee" of $7.44, and a similarly undisclosed "tip" of $9.50. 3. The staff at Ameci were unable to locate my order. When I finally was connected with a manager, it turns out that since I requested the order for a specific, later, delivery time, DoorDash will not present the order to the restaurant until about 20 minutes ahead of that time. He did agree to follow-up and make sure the order is canceled. After receiving an email order confirmation, I found a phone number that did allow me to cancel the order, and verify I will not me charged. read more

Well, that was the most disappointing meal I've had in a long time. The spaghetti and meatballs featured one meatball very thinly sliced. Which was not good. The spaghetti sauce was bland, I'm pretty sure it was just pizza sauce. The salad was a salad. Kind of weird spending $10 for a huge pile of lettuce but here we are. Jumbo cheese is just like NY pizza- big, cheesy goodness served with personality and class.

I have been getting my pizza from Ameci pizza in Sherman Oaks for more than 5 years. The former owner was very hands on and pleasant. When he sold his restaurant the new owners went solely online so not only can I no longer place orders by phone, but when I order online the pizza toppings are a mess. Half of the cheese and toppings slipped to one side of the pizza. This has happened twice and when I pick up my order the salesperson looks down without a "hello, welcome or a thank you" just seems to be annoyed. I'm a fan of their pizza even though it does not check all the boxes of what great pizza should be. Their toppings are good quality and the crust is pretty good insofar as it's not hand-tossed, which has ALWAYS been a prerequisite of mine. Ameci pizza has remained consistently good for a couple decades now which is an achievement. It is about a light year ahead of Dominoes which is an amalgamation of cheap ingredients. Interestingly, not all Ameci's are identical. I've always ordered from the NoHo location on Burbank Blvd/Whitsett, rather than the Woodman/Magnolia location as I find their pizzas much too spicy. This place has gone down hill significantly. I knew the Pizza was going to suck when I saw the cashier texting someone on his cell phone when I walked in. He didn't even greet me, he just handed me the pre paid pizza and kept texting whoever he was texting without so much as a hello, thank you or can I get you any crushed red pepper. It's definitely not rocket science so that should be automatic when you walk into a pizzeria. My intuition was right as the pizza sauce tasted like ragu and the cheese was spread out unevenly. I can't fault Ameci's, and tonight, the Door Dash driver did well, handed me the pizza instead of leaving it outside. ButI didn't realize until tonight that the reason the pizza isn't hot is because Door Dash doesn't use hot bags. I could tell by the texts that they picked it up quickly, delivered it quickly, but it was still cold, so sadly, this will be my last time at Ameci's unless they change their delivery method. (If I were to pick it up myself, I would have the same issue.) The pizza was delicious, but this is just one time too many. Damn. read more
