I saw on yelp that Uncle Tony's had great review so I thought to give it a try. It makes me sad to write a so so review but that's how the pizza was so so. Don't get me wrong the pizza was good but it just wasn't what I was expecting. Was a little bland. No wow factor. The garlic cheese bread was tasty but it was more like garlic cheese cracker. Had an amazing waiter this time for our 80th birthday celebration which made it memorable for all with lasting friendships amongst all who attended. Food is amazing with various salads, calzones, delicious pizzas, and we brought a birthday cake for all there. Lovely place taking reservations for such an event. Mediocre pizza with canned ingredients. Got a veggie pizza with half combo which had meat. Ordered a regular soft crust and got the thinnest crust you could possible imagine. Slices like tiny slivers. You could definitely tell the mushrooms were canned and most likely. I bet some of the other ingredients were from a can too. I would say it's similar to a screamin sicilian frozen pizza you would get from Ralph's except it costs $22+tax and tip. But then again better than nothing if you're really hungry. I'm sorry to be this disappointed in a pizza. I orders off yelp 2 mediums one small and came out to $77.00. I have no problem paying that much for a pizza if it was good. I ordered two medium thin crusts with extra cheese and a small thick crust. The look and presentation of the pizza was much better than the taste. There was by no means any flavor in the crust. It tasted like matza pizza to say the least. There was definitely no extra cheese on any of the pizzas in my opinion so the 2 bucks up-charge for each was pointless The delivery was good but I was a little frustrated that the grub hub app showed my order was in progress event till after the delivery which did not let me dispute the unnecessary charges for the extra cheese. Overall, I was disappointed because I had been craving pizza for 3 days and this pizza did not satisfy my cravings. This place is for someone who wants to try a "specialty" pizza place with a not so traditional crust or dough taste. The thin crust rises kind of like a croissant does with air pockets so it looks like there's a mountain of cheese compared to the crust but that's just not the case. My experience was a bit bizarre. I placed an order through Grubhub at 10:38 AM scheduled for an 11:30 AM delivery. This timing was critical because I only had a 15 minute gap in-between meetings to receive the food. Well, by 11:40 AM the food had not arrived. I called the restaurant directly and the nice gentleman that picked up apparently had no idea about my order. After sounding confused for a while and repeatedly saying my name as if he were searching for order in their system, he asked if he could put me on hold. Not a good sign. He gets back in the phone and says, "Yup. We got your order." When I asked where it was, he told me the driver wasn't there (at the store) and so he thinks it's on the way? Maybe he's almost there? Yes he phrased those statements as a questions to me. So I walk out to the parking lot to wait. I'm now late for my 11:45 AM meeting. At 11:50 AM, 20 minutes past my scheduled delivery time, a confused man looking like Uncle Tony himself drives slowly through my parking lot and yells from an older unmarked car, "Delivery???" from his driver's window. Mind you this is taking place is a business parking lot with customers around. It's a good thing I went out to wait for him, because heaven knows if he would have even texted me upon arrival, which is what the instructions said to do for my order. The food...it's ok. I got a large 3 topping pizza. It was not a bad price, at $14.19, but the crust isn't my favorite. It's thin, but floppy, not chewy and oddly smooth on the bottom. It's ok. We had some errands to run at the Victory Plaza today and decided to grab a box of pizza before heading home. I ordered a medium pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni, green bell peppers, and red onions as well as a side of small seasoned fries that come in a regular styrofoam plate. Before ordering, I asked how many slices are in a medium pizza and the cashier told me 10, so I thought it was safe to assume that it would be enough for 3 people. We were very famished once we arrived home, so we opened the box of pizza as quickly as we could along with the plate of fries. Sad to say, it was the most pathetic-looking pizza I had seen in a while. Yes, there were 10 slices, but each slice was maybe 1.5 in wide- 2 in. if we're lucky. There was barely any cheese on the pizzas and each time we took a slice, the cheese would rip off from underneath the toppings and stick the pizza next to it. As for the fries, it was completely soggy and barely had any seasoning on it. We had one slice left afterward and it wasn't because it was the most delicious pizza we had ever eaten. Two and a half of their slices are equal to one regular pizza slice. I guess I should've known something wasn't right when they first handed me a "medium" pizza box that looked more like a small one. Full transparency here, I paid $25 for a "medium pizza" that was mediocre at best and $10 for a side of limp fries. Now I understand why the place had 0 business on a Sunday afternoon. Safe to say, I won't be returning here again. The only reason it's getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the cashier was very courteous. We ordered 3 pizzas a few weeks ago. One was cheese only, two had a variety of toppings. There were almost no toppings on any of the pizzas. The mushroom and sausage pizza had the equivalent of half a single mushroom and basically no visible sausage. The other pizza had the same issue. Either the restaurant ran out of toppings, or the delivery driver ATE all the toppings and left only cheese. If that's the case, Uncle Tony needs to put a plastic sticker to seal the pizza box. I'm furious to have paid for 1 cheese and 2 sausage/veggies pizzas and basically just got 3 cheese pizzas. I will never order from here again. read more

Uncle Tony is a winner in the pizza space! Absolutely loved my spicy hawaiin pie! I love their take on Hawaiin pizza because they use hot sauce and bacon as well as the usual pineapple and bacon. We came here when this place first opened a few years ago and it was pretty good, but we never came back for whatever reason. Decided to give it a try last week. They put broccoli on my pizza instead of bacon. Which is like...the most opposite possible topping. I should have checked the box before I left, but alas. I understand mistakes happen. So I gave them a call and the girl who answered the phone's response was, "what do you want me to do?" Uhhh...I later realize she probably meant that more along the lines of, "Would you like a refund or for us to remake it?" I guess, but that phrasing and tone came off pretty rude. But she wasn't rude in person when I went back. Anyway, I asked them to remake it. I accidentally said it was supposed to be black olives. She called me back a couple minutes later and said she sent me a screenshot of my order that said bacon. Alright, well yes, you are correct. I misspoke. But either way, it was broccoli that was on my pizza in the first place. She put me on hold and then gave the phone to a guy who sounded extremely rushed and asked how he could help me. I explained the situation. He said they're remaking it and it'll be done in about 15 minutes. So I went back to pick it up. The girl apologize for the inconvenience. I could've jogged home and baked a pizza from scratch after waiting almost a full hour for our order to come up, but thought maybe there's some redeeming quality here. There wasn't. No redeeming qualities. Zero accountability. Must be Halloween season after all because we were practically treated like ghosts, but the only spooky thing about the whole experience was the underwhelming dine-in order we received after waiting a full hour for 2 small thin crust so-called "pizzas". I remember thinking to myself at the 30 min mark, "maybe they have to let the dough rise" but it took long enough for me to think they're curing the meats in house--tasted store bought though so that definitely wasn't the case. At around 45 min, I heard a woman yelling "...sitting there for 10 hours" from the kitchen. Not sure if this was in regards to us and them realizing how badly they'd messed up but literally NO ONE acknowledged how unbelievably long we had been waiting for 2 pieces of glorified toast as we watched all the waiters pace back and forth past us, like we weren't even there. I think our waiter was trying to apologize or appease us somehow with the half pint offering of ranch he brought out. Would've likely avoided getting this review if they just addressed the elephant in the room as opposed to ignoring the very obvious problem glaring them in the face. It became very clear to me why the place was so deserted. It is a little concerning to ingest food from a kitchen that won't acknowledge their mess and more alarmingly still, our bill after waiting that long and being treated that poorly came out to a whopping $57, for I kid you not, something that was the equivalent to those flatbreads you can get at a Starbucks drive through. Unprofessional staff and trash, criminally-overpriced food. It legitimately feels like I just wasted a night of my life by subjecting myself to this place and I can only imagine the condition the kitchen must be in if this is how they're currently running it. Uncle Tony's was a nice surprise. It is two in one. It was a a pizza place with a hook-a bar. We just went in for the pizza. It's nice dark and romantic. It took a minute to get service and after the host sat us down we didn't really know what to expect. Finally, our server came out. That part of waiting and no one telling us our waiter was coming was strange because there were two people in the room. We ordered two pizzas. A veggie combo and my honey ordered a Hawaiian style pizza. We were served and asked for ranch, buffalo and jalapeños. The pizzas were amazingly good. I ordered the meat lovers and spicy Hawaiian. Pizza was better than average. Solid B. Prices displayed online were $15 cheaper than in store. Online (yelp) shows $18.50 (XL/Family) & $15.75 (large). I was charged $33 for Uncle Tony's XL which is really a Large anywhere else is quite pricey. Their large which is a medium anywhere else turned out to be $28. The prices in store were covered up, so you could not see any pizza prices and allows them to charge whatever they want for whoever they want. To my surprise, the bill for a true Large and a medium was $66.80. Veryyy pricey for a B pizza rating and any two pizzas in general....for takeout. Not a great experience for pick up. The cashier was not very nice and did not make eye contact 1 time. Many other pizza options in LA. Will not be coming back. read more

Update! The manager called me personally and apologized for the bad experience. We will give them another try to prove themselves. This was a spur of the moment dinner night at our friends. We ordered quite a few items not knowing what to get because this was our first time ordering. We ordered 2 pizzas, cheese bread, a salad, and chicken wings. Let's start with our delivery order. Our food arrived after it was scheduled to. It took over an hour when it said 45 - 55 minutes...not too bad for a Saturday night. The food was warm to be on the nice side. But ok...its delivery. We ordered garlic cheese bread but they require you add a topping when you order on yelp, which we didnt want. I wrote in special instructions. "I want just garlic cheese bread with no extra toppings" even though they charge you an extra $.75...I got no cheese but just bread with seasoning. We then ordered the following: -cheese pizza with thick crust...cant really get that wrong. It was ok. - an original combo pizza with thin crust...looked just the same as the cheese pizza thick crust...not the right crust but was still good after we put the pizzas in the oven to heat them up, toppings were plentiful. - the wings were ok, but a little cold but the flavor was still good -the Cesar salad was pretty good. Cant go wrong with that! I liked that they put the dressing on the side so it didnt get soggy and included two dressings. Here in lies the problem...I contacted the restaurant to let them know that i did not get what I paid for...meaning the garlic cheese bread did not have cheese on it. They told me that there was no manager available and I needed to call back in an hour or call grub hub. I then called grub hub and explained that my order arrived incorrect and cold and I wanted a refund for the incorrect items. They told me that they had to contact the restaurant. I waited on hold and finally the nice guy from grub hub came back on the line and said they would approve my refund even if the restaurant wouldn't. read more

Bf ordered a meat calzone which he said was really good. It was really big. Like stuck out of the edges of the box and it was sticky cheesy gooey-ness. 5/5 on that. I can't say I've tried their entire menu, but so far what I've ordered has been good to me. I have ordered their combo pizza. Basically has everything on it.crispy crust. They also have personal sized pizzas which is great for the little ones. Customer service has never been bad at all. They have a great promo on Yelp. You check in on Yelp you get a free garlic cheese bread and it's really good. It's like the size of a personal pizza. If you're in the mood for pizza give them a try.
