After the permits were approved, the project itself went very smoothly and was completed in a timely manner. I was impressed with several members of your team: *Jason Anderson* was my original salesperson and he was outstanding. Jason gave me hours of his time and patiently answered what felt like a hundred questions before I committed to the project, and even after. He also helped me procure the 30% federal tax credit for the solar products. That guidance alone was invaluable. *Carol in Customer Service* also went above and beyond. She spent a lot of time helping me understand the Powerwall and how the app works. Her explanations were clear and she made sure I was comfortable with the system before signing off. *Ivan, the Project Manager*, kept everything organized and on schedule. I appreciated his communication and oversight. *Christian*, who was part of the inspection team, was thorough, professional, and courteous. The actual installers did a great job with the technical work and were respectful while here. I do want to mention one area for improvement: when the crew left, both of my gates were left wide open and there was some trash/debris from the installation in the yard. A final walkthrough to secure the property and haul away materials would make a big difference. Overall I'm very pleased with Ameco and grateful for the team's expertise. I've been an Ameco customer for 6 years and they've installed two different residential systems for me. In each case they were among 3 or more contractors bidding and both times they were low bidder. Their work was completed on schedule and without any extra charges even though in both cases I requested panel and wiring lay-out changes during installation. My first system (6 kW) was installed in 2005 and it has performed as promised. Same for a 7 kW system installed in 2007. Both systems required roof penetrations and no leaks have since been encountered. The only issues I've had are related to repairs required to my inverters. In both of these cases, Ameco quickly repaired them under warranty and without charge. They have also returned to each of my systems to perform recall related upgrades on three of my four inverters. These upgrades were performed without interruption or inconvenience. In my experience, Ameco's staff are exceptional. They are extremely knowledgeable and considerate. They are genuinely interested in customer satisfaction and the long-term success of the systems they install. My advice: don't install a solar system without consulting them first; you'll be glad you did. read more

I selected Ameco from among other solar energy providers based on the recommendation of a friend of mine who had Ameco install his solar energy system a few years ago--and his recommendation was spot-on! From my first phone inquiry through the completion of the project, Ameco surpassed my expectations. Everything was handled in a professional, efficient and effective manner. Todd clearly explained our options, the pros and cons of various panels and systems, the timeline for the delivery of the materials and their installation, the warrantees provided by the manufactures and the option of renting equipment versus buying equipment. We just installed Solar Panels to heat our new in ground swimming pool, we decided on AMECO for many reasons. They have been in business for over 40 years, they stand behind their products and the process was fast and seamless. We met with John he came to our home on time and brought a folder full of information on the company and references along with a sample of the solar panels they suggest. John even got on the roof and took measurements to make sure the panels would fit properly for maximum sun exposure, before making a recommendation, unlike the two other companies that provided us a bid they never bothered to get on the roof. Installation was done in one day by Edgar, Jim and Eric they were very professional and friendly. We have had our panels for only a week and our pool is already heating up nicely. read more

We have a very good experience with Ameco from beginning to end. The proposal came in at a competitive price that was significantly less than what some other companies offered. The design and planning process went smoothly.Our project was unusually complex because we were addiing on to an existing system and it had to be done in such a way that it would not jeopardize the NEM 1 status of our original system which saves us many hundreds of $ every year. in fact, we had cancelled the solar project we started last year with another company last year because they could demonstrate that they could handle that properly. Ameco has now installed two solar electric systems for our family on two different houses. The first went in in 2008 and has run without problems for 10 years. We have not had an electric bill in all that time. We like that! We just completed installation of our 2nd Ameco solar electric system, and fired it up. Todd, the engineer we have worked with on both projects, is a great guy who works to understand what you want from solar, and is really careful about design, esthetics, and getting you the best equipment for the job. I wondered what to with some spare cash back in late 2008. I chose to go with Ameco and was hooked into SCE's grid in January 21, 2009. Today my reading is 53,040 Kwh and 90,169 lbs of CO2 saved. I got the California Rebate and the Fed's tax credit which cut my initial investment in half !! I have gotten a couple of net metering cash back and most of the time my electric bill was ONLY $24 a year, until SCE hit me with transmisson charges all over the place under $10.00 a month. My SCE bill told me the Net metering program has ended. I don't know what the new program will be this year. By the way, I have had NO PROBLEMS or any reason to phone Ameco about the system, except for a possible addition to my system. James T. read more

Ameco Solar was one of the choices I had with Pick My Solar that came up with the SoCal Edison website. I'm glad chose them. Working with Yazmina was a pleasure to get everything done. Workers were here on time, did a great job, cleaned up after, etc. Solar is working great, just got my first bill from Edison after the install...YIPPEE! We did run into a few problems with a roof leak and both Yazmina and Idan were very helpful in getting things fixed. We all know that "stuff happens" that you can't foresee, right?
