Just got my new roof paid for with Solar and the Hero Program! My old roof was 34 years old and every year that went by I was concerned about a leak. I had checked into solar previously but I was going to have to pay out of pocket for the entire solar system and I had to buy a new roof first so I didn't do anything for several years while time kept going along. Then Arthur knocked on my door after signing up one of my neighbors. He showed me how I could get a new roof and solar system for no money out of my pocket and with a payment that was less than my current electric bill. He did a very good job giving me all the information, answered all my questions, gave me a price that was half of what I was quoted by the other solar company and it all made sense so I signed up! After I signed up I spent a lot of time doing a lot of research online, I talked with my neighbors who have had solar on their home for years, and consulted my brother in law who recently had solar installed at his house and I confirmed that I got a great a deal and made a great decision. I was really happy that the roof was installed right on time and then the solar system followed. I was impressed with how my project was managed and how seamless everything was. I've spent a lot of time and money making my house look beautiful and it was really important to me to have the solar system not show on the front of my house. Arthur told me they could install it on the back of my home and I'm pleased to say that they delivered! I was fearful of the process at first because I had been putting it off for so long but I was really happy with how the whole thing went and how my new roof and solar system turned out! Everybody did their job perfectly and they handled everything for me. Basically, the whole thing just flowed very smoothly. There's one more thing I'd like to add, if it wasn't for Arthur, I probably wouldn't have signed up for solar and I would still need a new roof. He spent a lot of time with me, saved me a lot of time and money, called and texted me back whenever I needed him, and he just did a really great job, I'm very happy with my new roof and solar system and I'll be referring him and this company to anyone that needs a new roof or has a high electric bill! We had such a good experience with Sunlife on our roofing and solar project. Everyone from our solar rep Arthur to our project manager Shienna, our roofer Jay, our solar installation team and everyone else that made our project possible -everything worked out great. I kept waiting for the home improvement nightmare to begin and it never came! Everything from start to finish was handled professionally and it was nice to have everything done together and have it all done for us. Our roof and solar system look great and we're extremely happy. When we signed up we had questions about the tax credit and our solar rep used his resources and connected us to a CPA on the spot and answered all of our questions. We felt very comfortable with everything and decided to go ahead with things. After we signed up we confirmed we got a great deal after we compared pricing with friends of ours. The customer service updates were amazing. When we signed up we were told that we were going to get updates during our project and when you sign up for stuff sometimes you get told things that don't happen but we were really impressed with the way the project was managed. Shienna was amazing. We felt really good knowing what was going on and having accessibility to our solar rep and project manager whenever we wanted. I was also extremely impressed with the attention to fine detail on the aesthetics of the way everything looked on the roof and solar system. They basically took care of us the way I would want us to get taken care of and I didn't expect that because that never happens. Arthur Alexander (owner) ripped me off for $85,000. This company did not give me a scope of work because as Arthur said: "you don't have to worry about that we are friends". The price ballooned up from $64,000 to over $84,000 and he talked me into getting a HERO loan which he had directly paid to himself. Leaving me with no leverage to finish the job or fix all the stuff his subs broke while working there. He said: " don't worry we will fix everything" and fixed nothing. Installed solar panel on the wrong side of the roof, facing away from the sun. Genius Then I received a notice of lien from the roofing supply company for over $7,300 because he didn't pay for the materials. One of his subs showed up to my house when Arthur was there and was demanding Arthur to pay him for his work. I guess collecting the maximum amount from your costumes and not paying anyone makes for bigger profits, that was used to take a 1-2 week vacation to Mexico in December 2018 AVOID THIS GUY HE IS A LOW LIFE CROOK!! Just turned on my new solar system and I love it! I was interested in saving money on my electric bill and was considering solar for the last year. I met with 6 solar companies to compare interest rates, pricing, product, and professionalism and after comparing all my options, Sunlife had the best rates, pricing, product, and basically everything. Arthur was very helpful, professional, and really took care of us. Whenever we had any questions or needed anything we very accessible and we felt really comfortable with him. One of my concerns initially before signing up was not having street facing panels and every other company wanted to put them on the front of my home but Arthur took the extra time to design a non-street facing solar system and I'm really happy about that because it looks great. I was updated every week on the status of my project by my project manager and I liked that they did that because it kept me up to date about what was going on and how things were going. I surprised that the installation was pretty quick, it took a little less than 6 weeks! My installers were great. They finished my solar installation in 1 day and that was on the hottest day of the year! They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. Arthur came back to inspect the installation and make sure things were perfect and we're just really impressed with everything. I've already told my neighbor about them and she's already signed up. When California Edison informed me that due to my high level of use, I would be bumped up to a higher tier for electricity use and my bill increase exponentially. I currently own a 5 bedroom 3200 square foot home in Tustin, that was built in 1971. The Edison notice was my main motivation to explore and investigate solar energy. After doing some research, I found out that the roof line was perfect for solar panels. I've spent two years interviewing several solar companies, all offering both lease and purchase options. I decided to go with Sunlife for several reasons, and I'm extremely glad I did! After meeting with Arthur at my home with my Wife, we both decided that the LG Panels would be the best choice for my energy needs. Nothing but problems My solar panels were installed in August. They must not work because my electric bill went up. Sunlife Solar is a nightmare. They have came out 2-3 times in August to add this part and that part, still not working but they say it is. I get a bill for $548 from my electric company (last year at the same tome it was only around $300). I call Customer Service Shienna and after talking to 3 different people & being on hold for 2 hours, she tells me she's located in the Phillipines. I got on line & the lady shows me where my panels are not working & haven''t been working... The part of the electric bill where my salesman said I would see a savings, actually went way up. Any to top it all off, the contract is for 20 years! And if I try to sell my house, the new owners MUST continue the contract. Read that fine print people before you sign anything! I would have been really embarrassed it any of my friends and family would have gone with Sunlife Solar. They would be in the same situation... nothing but a headache. read more

I felt I was treated as a valued customer and my satisfaction was of utmost importance to them. The entire process from saies pitch to installation was easy and problem free. I received regular phone calls to keep me up to date with each step of the way, so I never felt uninfomed or out of the loop. The agent with whom I spoke was very personable and polite. The installation was quick and efficient, and I am quite happy with the results. I have already seen a huge drop in my electric bill. Sunlife just installed our solar system and we couldn't be happier. After considering switching to solar for the past 18 months and meeting with other companies and actually backing out of a solar lease with another company I was referred to Sunlife by a friend that had signed up with them at about the same time. This review is way past due but, better late than never! I had my roof and solar installed in November by these guys and 6 months later everything is still going great. My roof looks amazing and my electric bill is always less than a few dollars. My neighbors were really happy with this company and recommended them and I'm glad they did. I had an old original wood shake roof and we wanted to go solar for the longest time but needed to do my roof first. This company offered to do my roof and my solar for zero money out of pocket and a solar payment that was a little less than my electric bill so it made sense. Arthur was amazing. I was surprised how EASY this process was. Signing up was very simple, clear, and direct. Going solar with this company was a very streamline and easy thing to do. My understanding of solar and going solar changed after meeting one time with the owner, Arthur. The installation process was completed in a very timely manner and we're very happy with the installation. I was really impressed with the post installation care. There were some issues with a few of the panels not being level (due to my older roof being a little bumpy in places) but Arthur addressed during our post installation walk through and they were taken care of immediately. My husband Vince and I have lived in our home since 1963 and we were in need of having our original wood shake roof replaced. They offered us a solution to get a new roof installed with the purchase of a solar system for no money out of pocket and a payment for it that was equal to the electric bill we were replacing by going solar. We've had other solar companies come to our house but we felt very comfortable talking to the representative from Sunlife Solar and getting answers about making the switch. Everything looked good and we made the decision that day to move forward. The owner, the sales people, the project manager, and the installers were all very professional. Clean, neat, and completed the project in a timely manner. As an interior designer for a number of years I've found that there are a limited number of contractors that are professional and take there time to do a great job. Sunlife Solar is one of those and lived up to what they promised. Communication with the project manager and the installers was amazing. I was concerned about curb appeal and the solar panels being placed on the front of our home because our home is facing South and every other solar company we talked to told us they would need to go on the front, but Sunlife Solar offered us a solution to install the panels on the back of our house and install them in a way where they're reversed and tilted to face South. I was very impressed with what Sunlife could do for us as far as improving our home and decreasing our electric expenditure. The installation crews were very clean, honest, and a pleasure to deal with. They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves everyday, and did a top notch job on my house.
