This is a landmark here in Kingwood, and it goes to show that they run a great restaurant since they have been here so many years. Our club meets once a month for lunch at a local restaurant and we all enjoyed our meals here. The variety of Italian options is quite large and they do some with a special twist on the traditional recipes. Several dishes are from family recipes. And it was so nice that they were able to accommodate our fairly large group. I especially enjoyed the light and healthy menu selections and had the Molto Fresco which had chicken, shrimp, grape tomatoes, and sauteed garlic on a bed of Ancient Grains with olive oil and a balsamic vinegar glaze. This restaurant has some history, first established 39 years ago! Though a bit out of the way, it's definitely worth a visit. I had first taken note of it while searching for some nearby Italian restaurants. I knew I was in for a treat when I found out this establishment was part of the Raffa family. I had been to the restaurant Raffa many times and enjoyed the lake view. We split an appetizer of the fried oysters and grilled brie. Both were excellent! I opted for the creamy tomato bisque next, and it was perfectly bright and creamy. For my mains, I ordered the veal osso bucca after asking the waitress what the specials were for the day. My dining partner ordered the chicken piccata, which was an off menu item. My osso bucca was pretty tender and tasty, but the bed risotto it was nestled in, outshined the meaty goodness! It was so dang tasty! The service was a bit slow at times. Dinner seemed to drag on. By the time we ordered dessert, the restaurant was practically empty. Given their older clientele, this was not a big surprise. The complimentary birthday dessert was a half order of their Zuppa Inglese, a traditional Italian cake. It was light and perfect. Definitely worth another visit! I am so happy to find a great Italian place on this side of town. read more

This place was absolutely amazing. Let me start by saying that the service was 5 star! The Godfather and the old fashioned cocktails were a bit strong, but I got over that really quickly! lol. The spinach gnocchi was absolutely amazing and that fresh toasted Italian loaf was perfect pairing. They didn't have bolognese on the menu, but we asked for it and the chef made it from scratch. Food was served separately from appetizers to the soups / salads and then to the entrees. Each were served with garlic bread and everything seemed fresh. All of the food was very pleasant and came in hot. The service was good but it was a Monday so it seemed to be not that busy. The waitress was attentive and filled our glasses when near empty. She also boxed up our food to go and labeled each entree with the name and date albeit she had switched two of them around likely accidentally but it's the thought that counts. The atmosphere was very relaxed with the restaurant being very dimly lit and felt very old school. The establishment was very clean despite how much garlic bread crumbs we had gotten on the table. Only overt downside during our visit was the poor connection in the area and it did not seem like there was WiFi. Otherwise food was pretty good and service was as well. read more

If you've never tried Amedeo's in Kingwood, you are missing out! The food is over the top! I've never had a bad meal here. They win for best marinara you will ever eat! It's such a great place for a date night, celebration, or really anytime. Last night we celebrated my friends 50th birthday and they were so accommodating! We were a party of 13 and they took such great care of us. We had a perfect evening!! Everyone LOVED their food, and the service was impeccable. The ONLY reason I won't give 5 stars is their outdated decor. It's past time for an update. And they probably feel like they don't have to because the food is so good. (Seriously it's just that good) However, if they did, you couldn't get in the door of this place. With that being said, it still has a relaxing vibe that is very nice. My husband and I ate here on a weeknight recently for the first time and were both quite impressed. It was a relief to see a menu that wasn't all about barbecue, Tex-mex, and cajun food! In the Kingwood area, we have somewhat limited choices and this was one of the best meals we've had since moving here in 2022. The service was very helpful and every item we ordered was delicious. I ordered the Veal Marsala with the special salad for the day, and was very impressed by the quality and the generous sides that came with it. My husband ordered the Chicken Cappretto and was delighted. I ordered a glass of white wine which was also another pleasant surprise. Our 5th grade banquet was scheduled for Raffa's. There was a scheduling conflict and Raffa's quickly stepped up and closed Amedeo's for our banquet. Their kitchen was not prepared to serve 125 people at the last minute. They did an outstanding job! The food was great and none of the students even realized there were any issues. I commend the owners, managers, wait staff and kitchen for all of their hard work today! The restaurant is smaller than Raffa's, but that almost made the event better. It was more intimate and people were able to talk more. Please visit Amedeo's for an excellent Italian meal. Thank you so much! read more

We almost turned around seeing the location, but we had Italian food on the brain. We wanted something special for our anniversary and found a gem. We started with the baked meatballs that came out hot and delicious, and for myself, a makers 46 old fashioned. Our entrees were chicken Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and the special osso bucco. If you hear it on the menu, get it. It was spoon tender, and even I couldn't finish it all. Chocolate cheesecake for dessert, I need to come 7 more times to try the whole dessert tray. read more

I really liked this place. I live nearby and I usually forget about it. It is worth fighting the construction... and hopefully that is finished soon anyway. The food was delicious and well prepared. The service was solid and the place was really clean. I do have a problem with them offering a yelp check-in free dessert and then refusing to honor it because it wasn't printed. It was a timed coupon that never mentioned that it should be printed. I just think that's not a great look and it kind of tainted my view of the whole experience. read more

Dinner food is great! They need help with their desserts though. We've tried all of them at this point & the only good one is the flourless chocolate cake. Customer service isn't always the greatest, as we usually have to wait a little bit before the waiter or waitress comes to the table. We'll be back though because we love their food. read more

An establishment never has to earn a 5 star from me..they have to maintain it. Most places lose a star from me upon entry.. Amedeo's however, maintained a fl5 star rating from beginning to end. Greeting, seating, hospitality, it was all great. Our waiter was awesome. And this was all before the food came... NOW the food. It was nothing short of amazing. The artichoke dip is the best I've had. Salads (Greek and Cesar) were delicious. I had the Chicken Capretto.. an amazing array of complimentary flavors over 2 pieces of perfectly fried chicken breast atop fettuccine noodles with perfectly steamed veggies. My wife had the Seafood Amedeo.. Muscles, scallops and shrimp in a spicy marinara sauce atop fettuccine noodles. After recently being diagnosed with a gluten allergy and switching to a gluten-free lifestyle, I was thrilled when I called Amedeo's and found they can absolutely cater to the GF community. Our waiter informed us that almost any item can be made GF, and they will note it in the kitchen. I had the chicken Alfredo, and my husband had the salmon with ancient grains. Our food arrived hot and fresh, and our salads were tasty (I had the ranch dressing; he had red wine). Their GF pasta had a really good flavor to it as well. Since it was our anniversary, they brought us a dessert with lemon and chocolate mousse layered between slices of cake. It was incredible. This was one of the most humiliating experiences as a customer I've ever had. Despite an almost empty restaurant, the service (if we can call it that) we were provided was terrible. There was a clear difference between how white people were treated and how my husband and I were treated. We were respectful, patient and kind. But after seeing everyone else be served, waiting 15 minutes with no drink, and being treated as if we didn't exist, we decided to leave- but not before being offered to take our dinner to go. I supposed the restaurant is not interested in customers who aren't a certain skin color. I left crying that day- and I regret it- because people who can't see past people's skin do not deserve to have my tears or my business. read more

With weekly specials like the beef tips on cheese ravioli that I had on this trip and my wife's blackened Salomon. It is a perfect place to relax in a quiet atmosphere. This place is a staple in the Kingwood community! This is authentic Italian cuisine. This was my first time trying this restaurant, even though it isn't my first time trying to stay within the community to have Italian.. if you catch my drift. The place was clean, but for some reason it was cold. They didn't have the temperature regulated. The staff was really sweet and trying to get it under control. When I was there myself and my friend order from the daily special which was a salmon dish. This dish was absolutely delicious, it was so good we completely cleaned our plates. Only down side is that something weird was going on with the soda machines, EVERYTHING was flat! The service was so nice and attentive that, I didn't want to keep sending back cokes.
