I went to this nail saloon a couple of times before and I hate to complain but I kept telling the lady please be careful with the shape of my nails. This time i waited on the line for 20 minutes and then I ended up being late for work so I just let her do her job. This is how my nails ended up. The shape is horrible. Refused to soak them because "it took too long" & they were closing WHICH IS FINE but if this was the case you should of denied me at the door, not rush the service because you're trying to make a quick buck. Through the years I have come back here due to the convenience and reasonable pricing. If I am getting my nails done, I always request either Sophie or Nancy. They are fast and do a good job. I have mostly been only getting massages and eyebrow waxes here since the start of the pandemic, and doing my own nails. My mom and I were coming here for years even before they were hear we went to wendy when she was still at magic nails. Since, we have stopped coming. Not only do they do a really bad job, my mother got fungus under every single nail on her hand (she had acrylic). How is that even possible!? Her nails are ruined permanently! They also always do a horrible job, rush, very dirty and not sanitary, the talk smack about you in their language annnnndddd wendy is very RUDE! Also, she washes the towels in the dirty foot baths! That is beyond disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She also goes into the garbage and takes out the "disposable" flip flops and reuses them. Like many of these negative comments, they were great at first but over the the years became worse. My biggest complaint is when they speak their language every time you make a comment when they hurt you or when they're asked to fix something. I feel like they hurt my fingers on purpose when they made a mistake and you call them out on it. Also, extremely unapologetic when it comes to making your fingers bleed. read more

Just got a pedicure done and it was quick, efficient, and perfect. I know there's a better price if you do both mani/pedi but I have an infant. I'm pissed that I went to this place to get my eyelashes done. I've gotten the Ardell temporary lashes done before and it was never this bad. They basically torture you by making you hold your eyelids open the whole time. She couldn't tell me how long I'd have to stay like that. She also didn't warn me that I would have to do this before she started. She put one or two on the corner. My lower lash line is stuck to the top in the corner now. she only THEN had me hold my eye open and I was like wait a minute. This is not how you apply lash extensions. I'm absolutely mortified they're also not even on both sides. Never. Again. By the way I'm home now 30 min later and they still aren't completely dry. Nightmare. read more

I understand some of them doesn't speak very much English. So when I asked some questions. She had asked coworker to explain. That's all acceptable. By the way. When I told her that I didn't like how they make my index nail longer than my thumb, she start talking in her language with her coworker which I find completely rude & disrespectful. I got a fantastic pedicure here - to the point where I won't go anywhere else. It's only $12! The 2 ladies who run the place are very friendly and even though they try to upsell every service ($1 extra for quick dry... and they ask you if you want a foot massage with your pedicure) the results are beautiful and long-lasting. read more

I recently moved and tried a new place near my new apartment. My nails were TERRIBLE! Wendy fixed them the next day, and they were beautiful. I really wanted to like this place because it did have a friendly atmosphere and glancing at my nails, they did look nice at first. But, they do not do SNS properly and as a result, they scratch, crack and pop up quickly. Instead of soaking off in acetone, my old manicure was cut and cracked off *ouch*. She did not use any of the SNS base or setting powders or polish, just Essie clear coat repeated and gelous color. It seems that this place is best for regular mani/pedis and draws a regular crowd base, just not the best for this particular application read more

I was recommend here by a friend. I'm 50/50 on it. The good part is they don't rush and the staff are very friendly. It's also very clean and all bottles (cuticle oil, acetone, etc.) are clearly labeled. The down side is the place is VERY small (4 manicure stations and 3 pedicure chairs) so when it's busy it's a long wait. It gets frustrating when you've been waiting for 20 minutes and when a woman walks in after you the staff says she was here and came back so technically is ahead of you. Not cool. Please tell me that when I walk in and ask how long the wait is. Bottom line-go before 5 pm weekdays and never on weekends and you'll be fine. read more

I really didn't want to write this review, but I have tried to like this place for many years. Their work is inconsistent. Sometimes you have a great experience with a beautiful outcome and then sometimes not. In the summer of 2016 I promised my self not to go back because at this time I had acrylic nails. The woman said I needed to redo them because they were getting too thick. I never had them before so when she took off the acrylic by sliding a metro card between my nail and the acrylic I didn't know what to think. She never soaked them, and my finger tips were in pain for a week. Silly me, since they are so convenient I tried them again. This time having been using SNS for a while I went to have my nails done. The previous place I had been doing them did a great job, and they lasted 4-5 weeks (if you don't mind seeing the growth at the nail bed). Not wanted to travel all the way to 34th ave. I figured I would give Amenda Nail another go. Well big mistake, within the week one finger chipped. Then at the one week mark two nails cracked. I am so angry because as she was doing my nails I could tell the clear glue that they use was very old and she kept digging in the bottle to get some out. Obviously it was old and didn't do the trick. That will be the final time I ever do my nails there. read more
