Multiple times I have flown American Airlines and have had pleasant experiences. Today was not that, departure was for 7:00am and the. Notification popped up 7:20. We have been sitting here with no notification from staff why we are now delayed. Did not get a welcoming when I boarded or when I arrived in cabin. Maybe because I was wearing Michigan Gear???? Now 7:12 and people are still boarding. They told us that there was a scratch on the wing of the plane that was looked at and taken care of. Either these people got lucky or they waited for them and lied to the passengers. 7:30 and we still are at gate with cabin door still open. I have a connecting flight from Orlando I cannot miss. Now they say the plane was off balance and they had to throw balances in the plane. What other reasons for our delay will they say. Finally at 8:15 we are finally leaving the gate. Asked the flight attendant if I'll make my connecting flight and was given a 50%. Wow what customer. I hope they make it up in the air.

I always enjoy flying AA and from my home base of Jax airport. I hadn't realized it had been so long since my last flight, almost 6mos, and so much has changed. The old USO is the military lounge and run by the airport, USO dumped it without notice. They moved it to a much better location since my last visit, it's now upstairs before checking in. The volunteers are always so nice and they added a flight screen! TSA Precheck is always hit or miss. They made it easier to know which line to get in but didn't fix the problem of slow bins or no bins for flyers to put their luggage and having only 3 people at a time is not cool. Once I entered the area to find my flight I was fiening for coffee but refuse to pay Starbucks prices(I'm cheap like that). I had time and walked around to actually see what was offered and found the food court and found good coffee! Coffee bought, now I sit and wait on my AA flight. All airports don't have charging stations at the seats so I've come to appreciate that Jax does. Boarding soon so .

American Airlines gets a lot of hate sometimes. I don't really know why well, they have their moments like everybody else especially since Covid. Coming out of Jacksonville this is a small airport, the service is always pretty good. The people at the desk when you check in at the Priority , check in are always pleasant. And the line is never very long. If you want to you can use the self check in machines and those are quite efficient. You can just drop your bag then and it's all good. do you walk to the gates is not too bad and American Airlines is great about upgrading status members if they have room. I've had American Airlines status for 25 years and I think I'm going to keep it.

I am finally at gate 6. My flight on American has been delayed. I am trying to figure out why? The bad weather is coming to Florida this afternoon. My first time fling America. I am a United gut but United does not fly to Miami. Pricing to Miami is reasonable if you book in advance. I had to book for a funeral. It would have bee better to book a day before. So far not good. I will probably fly American again to go south of Jacksonville dice I will not drive past Port carnaveral. I'm just saying. Alright American do what you do best. Fly me over the friendly skies before lightning strikes north, south, east and west in Florida.

**ZERO SOCIAL DISTANCING IN THE AIRPLANE** They'll make a big deal about the type of mask you wear (at least they'll provide you with theirs) but cram the airplane LOL!!!!! Seems this ability to threaten people to muzzle up is really the highlight of their day. It's your job, I get it, but know not all people are comfortable with this encumbrance. Be kind to EVERYONE

I was able to get a ticket on Sat for the following Wed from Jax to Pittsburgh; I was very happy! The procedure to buy, use and get on the plane all went well! People on plane kept mask on, quick flight (way better then driving)!

Security, gates, and baggage claim are easy to navigate. Staff are helpful and approachable. Dining is solid for a smaller airport, There's variety you can have a sit down meal or just something quick. Big plus for disabled veterans: free parking for vehicles with DV plates. You just need to park in the designated area (posted before entering the garage and pulling a ticket). When you're checking out, go to the cashier with your parking ticket. If no one is there, press the assistance button and they'll walk you through the process.

Everything is very clear, with open space for big crowds and the restrooms are very clean. Also, they've recently changed their scanning machines at TSA which makes the process smoothers. However, once you pass TSA and enter the terminals, that's where it gets very crowded and there's not enough space for the amount of people waiting for their flight which can be very chaotic. Also, the food options are very limited, so I would recommend just grabbing something to eat before getting to the airport. Also, the bathrooms near the gates are very dirty and would avoid them at all costs. Frankly it feels like a whole different airport once you cross TSA, and not in a good way. However, the main reason why I am giving them three stars is their rental car area, which is insanely confusing. You first check-in with your rental car company across from the baggage claim area, and they will give you a parking spot number to pick-up the car. If you are carrying a lot of luggage with you, this can be extremely annoying because it is a long walk and the signs are not very clear. If you are traveling with kids and a lot of luggage, I suggest having one person pick up the rental, while the other stays put by the pick-up area outside of baggage claim.

Once I made it to the counter it was a painless process of showing my id and weighing my bag- I was moving on within minutes. Once at the gate our boarding was delayed for reasons unknown. I didn't sit in my seat until our scheduled take off time- even though everything kept saying "on time"~ that being said- the pilot got us on the ground just 10 minutes past our scheduled time- not bad! I did like our flight attendant Cory- he was friendly and patient~ all of the attendants seemed very nice and didn't fluster at the customers who were slow to follow directions. My patience was up with the guy in my aisle while Cory did an excellent job keeping his nice smile on~ put the phone down and pay attention! lol This airline can be extremely cheap to fly- but can also nickle and dime you for everything- carry on bags, checked bags (weight limit is 40lbs- not the standard 50!!!), printing tickets at the airport, seat selection, snacks in flight~ you name it- you'll pay for it! BUT~ if you hit it right, you can fly for half the price of other airlines! Read the guidelines- install the app on your phone for easier ticketing and be patient! You'll do just fine flying Allegiant.

When we arrived early for our return flight we waited at an empty baggage check counter for 30 minutes for staff to arrive, then when we were called up we were told we had to wait another hour because we were not allowed to check our bag until it was on their appropriate time not ours. Front desk staff were extremely rude when explaining this too. Next time I'll spend the $100 I saved and fly Southwest or Delta

Terrible decision taking the Amtrak. There's no direct flights to Tampa from Jax but there is…read moreAmtrak. It was scheduled to leave at 7am and didn't arrive until 9:45am and left at 10am. I wasn't even notified the delay until I got there. I didn't get into Tampa until 3:30pm when it was rush hour traffic. The building was filthy. Bathrooms were not the dirtiest but not clean either. It was manageable. The bathrooms on the train was disgusting though. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the prices. It only cost me $19 to get a coach seat. Also beware: wifi didn't work at all on the ride.

My mom was confined to her room for two days becasue she could not get upstairs to the dining car. She could not get ustairs to the observation car. She had to sit in her room the entire time. Meals were the next issue. We were supposed to have three course meals. I never got one. The first meal I was not in the mood for chicken. There was no steak. I can't eat red sauce and I do not like fish so there was only the chicken. I asked for a hot dog off the kids menu. They had no kids menu items which was nuts because there were a bunch of children on board. So I ended up going to the snack car and paid 9 dollars for a microwaved burger. The next mornign there were no quesadillas which of course is what I wanted. Then it started going downhill. Lunch was pizza no choice. Pepperoni or cheese pizza no other choices even though we wre supposed to have a full menu. Again not being able to eat tomato sauces I was back at the snack bar paying for microwaved food when meals were supposed to be included. Dinner was the same situation beef stew or nothing. No choices again. So the food was lousy, the accessibility for anyone with a mobility issue was nonexistent.

First time JetBlue flyer! Took a short, non-stop flight from JAX to FLL and although my departure…read moreflight was delayed 30 minutes from boarding, I had a great experience. Never have I ever been on a flight that was delayed where the pilot came out and spoke in detail about the reason for the delay, what was done by the maintenance team, and what will happen next. Not only that but he detailed his years of flight experience, including maintenance experience, and time in the AirForce to express his confidence in flying the aircraft based on the results of the maintenance teams work. Lastly, Capt Mark Mitchell (Flight 17) spoke on the importance of us getting to our friends family and shared that to JetBlue all passengers are family. This was such a kind gesture. Once we were ready to take off, we had a longer delay waiting for FAA clearance. At this point, I would have arrived sooner if I had driven but it is what it is. For such a short flight, an economy ticket was sufficient. Surprisingly the seats were comfortable and spacious!! I'm 5'0" on a good day but these seat would be comfortable for a much taller person to stretch out their legs. The flight attendants were friendly and the cabin was clean and new. My return flight could easily cause this review to go from a 5 to a 2... the crew is not the issue. The planes are the issue!! We departed from the gate for an on time departure. We taxied down the runway then the Captain comes on board and says "we must return to the gate because the computers stopped working so maintenance needs to take a look at the issue." The flight was delayed an hour. We arrived in Jax safe and sound. I did witness flight attendants personally go to passengers with certain flights and layovers that may be impacted by the delay or the weather to provide options. Many decided to deplane for later flights. Again, this shows that JetBlue does care about their passengers.

Not a care in the world for any of us .. they didn't offer food , water or try to get us out after 7 hours ! After midnight the pilot used excuses and told us we are stuck and will have to see when s flight leaves the following day.... Well after 22 hours and no updates , we jumped on a greyhound after booking a hotel on our own expense to get home ! JetBlue ticketing , customer service agents and flight crew all deserve to be fired and passengers reimbursed !
