Clearly a fraudulent, scam business. The washer dryer combo (all in one) unit that they sold to me, did NOT turn on at all. I tried all possible means to reach out, give them video, etc. Till date they haven't cared to even provide me their phone number to talk - and all my calls go to a voice mail that is never returned back. Horrible even the other location on rte 1&9 is worse they almost got me too paid cash for a fridge that didn't work had their alledged tech fix...it completely stopped after try to give another that didn't work and after I had to bring it back and almost knock Carlos dafuq out I got my money back!...Lesson learned..I give minus stars if I could!!! read more

I thought everything would be great with these people. Got a good fridge at a decent price. Paid extra for 3rd floor delivery. Met with the boss who scheduled delivery and PROMISED me haul away of my old fridge. Delivery day came, 11/6, the delivery guys brought up my fridge no problems. But, when I told them about the haul away they insisted they don't haul away from the third floor. If delivery is to the 3rd floor, isn't it safe to expect haul away from the 3rd floor too??? Called the store, spoke with Michael, who said he'd call the delivery guys and insist on the haul away as he saw it on the order. He called the guys, but, they continued to attempt to leave my home without my old fridge. I called Michael back, he requested I give the delivery guys my phone. I ran outside to do so, he speaks with them telling them to haul it away, they still left my property without the old fridge! I call Michael again to explain he then tells me he will speak to the boss and have her send the guys back tomorrow to haul away the old fridge. He said he would have her call me to get this issue rectified. She never called me. Everyday I'd call, Michael would give me a story, she's not there, she'll be there later, she was supposed to come in but didn't make it. Day after day of excuses. My old fridge still sitting in my kitchen. Today, I showed up there. And wow, the boss was there! What a surprise! First, she pretended like she had no idea who I was. Trying to completely ignore her condescending, arrogant, and disrespectful attitude I refreshed her memory. She tells me she didn't know the delivery was on the 3rd floor (MY RECEIPT CLEARLY STATES 3RD FLOOR DELIVERY). She then proceeds to say she didn't know the haul away was on the 3rd floor??????? IF YOU USE YOUR BRAIN, if the delivery for a new fridge is on the 3rd floor, you have to disconnect the current fridge on the 3rd floor to install the new fridge on the 3rd floor wouldn't the haul away of the old fridge also be on the 3RD FLOOR???????? And tells me she didn't know the delivery guys don't haul away from the 3rd floor. How do you offer services and then say "I didn't know they don't do that". You're the boss, are you not? Isn't that something you should be the one to know?!?! And then to top it all off, she recommended I post my old fridge online and find someone to haul it away for me. She also proceeded to tell me "and you got a beautiful fridge for a great price" kind of like shut the fuck up and be happy. Like they did me some sort of favor. I had plans on buying a few other things here I will NEVER return. I hope and pray nothing happens to this refrigerator. I paid for an extended 2 year warranty and hope I never have to use it. After reading the other reviews I'm more than certain it'll be a horrendous experience getting them to service my fridge if needed. Wish I could give ZERO stars. read more

DON'T BUY THERE! 'Never seen so unprofessional. They'll sell you something that doesn't work - replace for something else that also doesn't work - promise they'll send technicians that never come - promise they'll call you back with answers to your questions and never do!! Too much Drama!!! If you want a refund, they will charge you a 30% "re-stocking fee", as if they ran a Lowe's or Sear's store. Yuck! Customer service nightmare! Washer wasn't functioning properly. Called on a Wednesday: "No speak English". Left my number, no call back. Called on Thursday: "No speak English" left my number again, no call back. Called on Friday: "OK, we'll definitely have someone out there on Monday" Called on Monday "No, we don't have a repair guy on Monday. We never have a repair guy on Monday, no one told you that. We can come on Wednesday between 10-2" Wednesday morning 9:40 am: "I'm here early, but I can't wait for you" And so on. They appeared to be dishonest on several occasions, whenever it was convenient in the moment. Very crafty at spinning lies, like they had lots of practice. The owner and several employees are just rude people at the core, I guess they just weren't raised properly. They finally changed the machine for another of lesser value, 3 weeks later. The delivery guy refused to wait for 5 minutes, to confirm that the spin cycle worked properly. Thinking about buying from American Appliances? Bring cash, lowball. Get a receipt. Expect the delivery to be late by a few days. Don't expect it to work, and expect it to be filthy. Expect dishonesty and a lot of games. Good luck! read more

I bought a refrigerator and a stove here. The ref broke down after less than a month. They say they have a 90 day warranty, but good luck dealing with customer service. I've called them 6 times in a span of two days. They keep on saying they'll call you back, they're waiting for the dispatcher/repair guy/whoever. But they never call back. Basically, if you buy here, you roll the dice. If it works, great, otherwise, it'll cost you more for repairs. Based on my experience, I'd recommend you look elsewhere. read more

I completely agree with the other negative reviews. I wish I had read them before buying anything from American Appliance. This is without a doubt the worst business I have ever dealt with. The customer service is absolutely horrible and the repair mechanics are terrible. After six (!) attempts, including two other times I took off work and they did not show up for appointments, their mechanics still cannot fix a refrigerator ice maker. Their solution was for me to purchase another warranty or pay more for another fridge, as well as an additional delivery fee. Stay away from this business. Dealing with them has been a horrible experience. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more
