The problem with having almost no neck is finding dress shirts off the rack that don't look like a f*cking cotton garbage sack. I am literally swimming in these pre-made joints because someone with such a girth-y throat should be built like King King Bundy. Bespoke is the way to go if that's an issue for you, playboy! Now I've had shirts made in HK previously for around $50 a pop which is the wild good deals but I don't make it back to my mom's hometown as much as I'd like no more (pro-tip: don't ever buy a house, own a car, have pets, or kids of you wanna just dip out and travel whenever you want) so what am I gonna do now? I've slimmed down a wee bit since I last had shirts made and let's face it, these shirts ain't built to last forever. Sigh. Well, what have we here? A tailor shop with bespoke shirts right next to my uncle's restaurant! Woot woot. I had some time one night before dinner as I was waiting for the rest of Team Asshole to join me for some sushi bar action so I peeked my big head in here. The boss man was OD friendly and walked me through a myriad of options. I decided to swoop on a black shirt with the entry level cloth. I'm not familiar enough with the different textiles but I know that Egyptian cotton feels like goddam silk on the skin and cost like it feel - fabulous. I also know my pockets are feeling tighter than spanx on Kim Kardashian's *ss, juhuurd! It took about 15 minutes or so to get me measured up. This is a one time deal (unless I lose more weight) so I won't have to go through this each time I want a new shirt. About 10 days later, I'm back to try on my new custom made joint and I FRICKIN' love it! Fit better than my old bespoke HK shirts even! I don't ever need to go to any type of department store for dress shirts ever again, I've found my new spot! Customer service was fantastic. Boss man spends time with you and very attentive. American Bespoke Tailor made my fiancé's 4-piece wedding suit. We had a bad experience, and are posting a full review for transparency before you decide to purchase with them. TLDR; Spent $4K+ on a custom suit. The store made a mistake and created the suit in the wrong material, and tried to pass the issue off financially to us. We felt duped at nearly every appointment. Why 2-stars instead of 1-star? At the end of the day we walked away with a fixed beautiful suit that fit well, plus the appropriate refund, in time for our wedding. They are good people who aren't intentionally causing headaches, but they did not handle our situation appropriately. Initial consultations: We wanted a 3-piece teal suit (jacket, vest, pant). For us, the most important part of the suit was to nail a vibrant teal colored fabric. We narrowed it down to 2 teal options: (1) an expensive premium fabric, and (2) a budget friendly fabric that was close in color. We selected American Bespoke over other shops because Kane promised that the premium teal fabric was already in stock at his facility, so he could complete the suit within just a few weeks. We committed to the premium fabric, also bought a shirt, and spent $4K+ total for all 4 pieces. First fitting: The suit needed more tailoring, but we were impressed with how nice it was for an initial fitting. The problem... the color of the suit was off. Instead of teal it was navy blue. We asked Kane to see the swatch of teal fabric to compare (at this point we were second guessing our eyes). Kane said he sent the swatch to the factory for color matching and hence did not have the swatch anymore. Huh?? But he told us before that the fabric was in stock at his facility. He told us he'd get the swatch back for our next appointment. Second fitting: Kane had our swatch ready to compare against the built suit. Confirmed, the suit was made in the wrong color. Attaching photo of navy vs teal. Kane explained to us that it was impossible to make the suit in the teal fabric we selected because the material was discontinued. What?? At this point, we've run out of time to go to another tailor shop for a custom suit as it's about a month away from the wedding. Kane gave us 2 options: (1) start over with a new fabric, or (2) keep the navy suit as it's custom made and already fit my fiancé so well. We did not want the navy suit, so started over with our "plan B" teal, which was the cheaper material we originally considered in the consultation. Here's where it really went south. We had to figure out how to financially deal with the transaction as we were no longer getting the premium fabric, and it was a cost difference of $1K+. Kane wanted to keep the full amount we paid earlier, and give us 2 suits (the navy and teal). We only wanted the teal suit. Kane agreed that he would refund us the cost difference between the 2 fabrics and we walk away with just the teal suit. He requested us to pay another $3K+ to start the new suit in the correct fabric that day, and he'd handle the $4K+ refund at our next appointment a few weeks away. We asked why we couldn't just handle the refund transaction that day. He said because he was going to give us store credit at the end. What?? A refund does NOT equal store credit. After some back and forth, Kane agreed on a refund instead of store credit. We initiated the new suit order that day without paying additional money. Third fitting: The tailor made the corrected teal suit within ~2 weeks. It fit pretty great. Some details were not correct but overall it was nearly complete. We agreed to a final round of adjustments. This was supposed to be the day we correct the credit card charges. Kane informs us of another solution. He says the original navy suit they made was very expensive, it's a shame we didn't want it, so he'd like to settle on an amount for us to purchase that navy suit and we are getting a good deal. Um, what?? We already had this conversation before, already agreed on refunding the cost difference between the 2 fabrics, and already made it clear we don't want the navy suit. Kane then says it's not possible to refund us directly. He says we need to coordinate a claim with our bank to receive the partial refund of $1K+. The bank explained this is not the proper procedure for a refund. The bank can either: (1) cancel the entire $4K+ purchase, or (2) do nothing. Kane finally processes our refund in less than 10 minutes. We're not sure why he refused to do this in the first place considering how fast it was. Final fitting/pickup: Fiancé and I pick up the suit. Looks great. There's a stain on the shirt's crisp white sleeve that the tailor couldn't remove. At this point we call it done, take the suit home, and handle the stain ourselves. read more

I came in with a picture of the kind of look I was going for, and Kane was able to match it with the right color, pattern and fabric. I ordered a suit, vest, shirt and pants, and everything was ready in 2 weeks to try on. It only took him one try, and the suit was a perfect fit. There is even free parking at the back. At the wedding, I've received compliments from multiple family members and friends. The photos wouldn't have been the same without the custom suit that Kane made. Hands Down best tailor in town. I was visiting from California until I came across this shop in Bellevue and I was fascinated by their suits, shirts and accessories. I purchased two shirts and they ended up being the best custom dress shirts I have ever worn. For example, Macy's and other department stores don't go into detail like Karan (tailor) and made sure I was 100% comfortable. Within two weeks, Karan shipped my order to my residence in California and even followed up with me. I love these shirts customized and I continue to wear them over and over again. I appreciated that he walked me through the details and took time to consider my physique. He was accommodating to my specific details but also knew when to push back. He made some recommendations that I didn't initially agree with. He seemed confident so I deferred to his expertise. I'm glad I did, especially after seeing the wedding photos back. Second, after the wedding, I came back to have a set of button down shirts done. He accommodated my specific requests like contrast collar, etc. Again, delivered quality, well fitting shirts. My sister and I brought in two maid of honor outfits (two different styles) that needed a lot of help. We had previously been to Nordstrom for alterations and had been turned away after feeling on the verge of humiliation. Who wants to be told "there's too much work to do on this" while you're wearing a MOH outfit you can't return! When we showed up at American Bespoke Tailor, we were greeted by Kane (the owner) who immediately revived our hopes with his can-do attitude and his resourcefulness - quickly evaluating our garments and assuring us he could fix them by taking up hems, adding an inner lining, tapering the pants legs etc. He basically did a full-scale redesign to ensure that the outfits would not only just fit, but become flattering for our unique figures - not to mention finishing in 2 1/2 weeks.
