I placed a DoorDash order for American Deli. It's such a shame that I paid attention to the reviews AFTER I made mine. Many reviews are the same. Chicken was completely OVERCOOKED and the seasoning could choke you. Very unacceptable. The chicken was so disgusting. No more spending money at American Deli. My suggestion would be to read reviews before placing orders because these restaurants do not care about good service anymore. read more

I ordered through DoorDash and part of my order was missing. When I called the female answering the phone said it wasn't their fault and to call DoorDash. When I asked for the manager she said to call back in 20 minutes because he left. I asked for his name and she refused to give it, not even a first name. She claimed she'd been instructed to NEVER give out his name. If this is true it seems very shady. I've done customer service for more than 20+ yrs and first names are required. DO NOT ORDER HERE. The order missing was for my child who's birthday we were celebrating 2020 style. I'm quite angry with the way I was treated and the fact responsibility was not accepted by the restaurant for quality customer service. This was the FIRST and LAST time I order here. The restaurant allows online orders. When ordering you can add special instructions. I added 'All Flats' for each selection. When I arrived I asked was it 'All Flats'. I was told it would cost $.50 extra per order. I told the young girl if it's not all flats like I put on the ticket please take it back and make it all flats and I'll pay the difference ($1.00). She took the order to correct it. The lady (the mother?/owner) then tells me next time I need to come in the store to order because they didn't see it on the ticket. She tells me the order has already been prepared and that next time I need to come in, again. I then let her know this is my first time ever ordering from their restaurant. Then she pulls the ticket and she sees that it's written all over it 'all flats'. Then she tells me they can't make all flats. I ask, do they ever make all flats? She says yes but sometimes we don't have it to make. Then I ask her to open the order so I can see it since they "can't" make it all flats. She shows me the ticket again and she says 'not you, but sometimes other customers don't write it in and then we don't make it'. But clearly that wasn't the case.. Then the daughter comes over and tells me something different with attitude. I let her know she didn't just say what her mom said. Then with attitude she says 'we said the same thing' but she wasn't in the conversation so how does she know? I remind them that I am a first time customer and ask them 'Is this what they wanna show me? Is this what they want me to experience this attitude'? I don't have an attitude with you so you shouldn't have an attitude with me. Then the mother jumps on the bandwagon and goes 'excuse me'. I think that should have been my line. I then remind them that my order is paid for and I don't have to have a debate with them put it in the bag and that's it, I'll take it and leave. I will not be returning. If my husband had not been waiting on those wings to enjoy while he was watching the game, I would have requested a refund and gone somewhere else. We must stop patronizing businesses that don't want our business. When I look around all I see are brown brothers and sisters waiting to order. They don't appreciate your money. Ordered the chicken gyro w/ wings combo. The Gyro was excellent!! Perfection! But I couldn't give five stars because the wings.... Not so much. I ordered the garlic parm wings. And while they were fried perfectly... crispy like I love them, the sauce was horrible. I'm already not a fan of wet garlic parm wings (I prefer the dry rub) but some are actually pretty decent. Not these! I didn't taste garlic or Parmesan at all. And...They should not be sweet! Honestly the sauce tasted like vomit. I couldn't even finish them. Brand new spot where "Wing it On" used to be, in the same shopping center as the Cherry Rd Publix. Good prices, fresh food, best Philly Cheesesteak I've had outside of Philly, wings are great as well. All sauces are wet. Definitely recommend! read more

I'm new to the area so I'm always looking for some food to remind me of back home so I tasted some of my son's food yesterday and I loved it, but tonight I placed an order that was over 30 dollars to get home started eating and discover it was all wrong. I asked for lemon pepper mixed with mild Buffalo sauce and another order with just garlic parm my rating could have been much higher but I consider that as a expensive mistake that I can't get my money back from or replacement food for. read more

I was excited to hear that American Deli has come to Rock Hill. I had it in Georgia and it was amazing. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and my husband had the Reuben. Both sandwiches were hot, fresh and the fries were yummy. The service was great too. My only issue was the t.v. commercials showing a rapper using the F bomb, while we were eating. The two stars are for the clean store and the friendliness of the woman behind the counter. Went for the first time the other day. I had the gyro. It was basically lettuce, tomato, way too much sauce, and one very thin piece of meat. I have been eating gyros my whole life and never had one with so little meat. Great place! My family went to this place when it first opened up and I must say that this place is GREAT!! The employees there are very nice and they took their time and explained the menu to me. I have a little one! We ordered the wing and cheesesteak combo, cheeseburger combo, and the wing combo. Everything tasted amazing! Since then, we have been back 2 or 3 times.
