This Legion is quaint and nice. The people here are friendly and outrageous courteous. The fish fry is outstanding and I will be back

When you are looking for high quality fish and sides at a value price, the Creve Coeur American Legion is the place to go. I have been a fan of this place for almost 30 years. They have consistently had a great product with a very friendly and accomodating staff. No, it's not a fancy place with a fancy menu like Bristols across the parking lot, but if you are looking for a great place for some good fish, especially on Fridays during lent, add this place to your list. Plus, you can feel good that some of what you spend is going to help our service members who go through our USO...in fact, put a little extra in the bucket on the counter if you can.

    I could only eat half!

Nice fish fry. Would have been better if the food was actually hot. Hush puppies are a must.

We each ordered 3 street tacos and beverages. Great flavors in the lamb taco and chicken tacos. You walk in someone greets you and ask you if you've been there before. Essentially you then order your drinks and food up at the counter, take a table number and sit down. They bring it to you. Even though the kitchen was low behind, they still let us sit down which was really awesome. We were able to get our drinks and then they came out with a free sweet potato taco with all their salsa. It was really nice cause you got to taste the salsa before your meal came out. Our meal came out in really good timing. Just wish that the appetizer came out before the food, but it was still really enjoyable. I got a chicken taco and the other person in my party got three different tacos. The crunchy taco is like a rolled taco that's crunchy. And he said it was the best taco all over them. He got. My chicken taco was OK. The salsa definitely helped otherwise it was too dry. We decided to get the dessert of the churros to go. I didn't get a picture of them, but they were really small. And for the price, I don't remember what it was. I think it was like five dollars. I thought it would be a little bit bigger. I don't know if I would get it again because there was also a sweet heat about them and I just was not expecting that. Other than that, the staff really leave you alone other than to bring out your meal, or take your plates.

RST is owned by an amazing couple who care about their guests and their products. The food is fun and tasty; drinks are fantastic. First off: there's a small parking lot on the east side of the building plus plenty of street parking. Inside you'll be graciously welcomed by the bartender if you slide onto a barstool-- or you can be seated at a table in the dining room or outside. They're usually a few decent beers on tap, and more available in cans. The bar manager does excellent work with a specialty cocktail menu and house-made shrubs and syrups. The house margarita is affordable and very drinkable. While you wait, enjoy complimentary popcorn topped with Rock Star Dust-- their own special blend of seasonings that is also included in several other menu items. Scan the QR code to see the menu of rockstar-named dishes like the glass onion rings, Amy Swinehouse (pork taco) and such. It's all good! (Your server will take your order & bring the food out.) Tamales are especially excellent, made with the owner's mother's authentic recipe. There are a few vegetarian options, rotating specials, and sweet treats as well. You can get in and out pretty quickly if you've got somewhere else to be, or hang for a while and enjoy the cool atmosphere & wonderful people!

We tried Eye of the Tiger, Mac & Diane, and Down on the Korner. All were tasty. If anything, I love the menu for clever names. Be sure to get there before they close the doors and grab a bottle of Rock Star Dust, too.
