After my mandatory one year of disappointing services at a Van Nuys Blvd Dealership where I purchased my car, I was looking for a more trustworthy, fairly priced and meticulously knowledgeable Mechanic that was nearby. The Yelp reviews were on point, and so far I've had very good experiences here; taking my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a variety of maintenance - oil changes, services and repairs. Ralph has been available to take care of any issue when I've just dropped in. I took these pix in my visit today as I needed a cracked plastic seat panel changed out. I was not able to go that week, however the following week I was nearby so figured I would just stop by and see if he could service my vehicle, but let him know I needed my car back by a certain time. He called about an hour before I needed it saying they were wrapping up and shared the final price which ended up being a few dollars less than the original estimate. Car felt great and we will be returning for any future maintenance needs. Great service, fair pricing and great, clear communication.

I requested a brake inspection, which was really quick, turned out I had to get my rear brakes changed. They offered to do it the same day for a very reasonable price and less than 3 hours later, my car was ready. Joe has worked on my car for small items like brakes and oil changes all the way up to getting some check engine light issues fixed. Pricing is always great. Brought my car here for a diagnostic thinking the issue was one thing only to find out "no, you don't need that," and saved me a bunch of money I would have likely spent elsewhere. He didn't push me to fix anything that didn't need fixing and pointed out a few things that were old that I might want replaced so I just took all his suggestions because it's a very old car and it needed some extra care. I went in for transmission fluid change earlier in February in my Toyota Camry 2018. I bought OEM Toyota transmission fluid and asked Joe to help do drain and fill.The drain and fill was completed. After that there was a rough driving issues started. I went back to show my car to joe and he drove the car he told me he don't see any issues. I wanted him to check transmission fluid port on if there is low transmission fluid he didn't agree and told me I might be overthinking. I went to different mechanic in April and he checked. I paid $100 to reopen the port for transmission fluid and what we saw was no fluid came out from the primary port. He added 0.5 quarters left. The issues I have had for rough idle and need to have higher RPM on slope went away completely.According to him you have to keep the car running when you drain the fluid and you need to have it at the right temperature he said the drain and fill wasn't done correctly that's why there was still room for fluid. The viscosity of the fluid makes a difference in how much you can fill and drain. He double checked for leakage and there were no leaks either. When I went to joe and asked about don't you have to keep car warm to see if temperature is right? He said you only do it when there is a leak. I don't think Joe knew enough about mechanics of New car. I wasn't overthinking when I went to ask Joe for help and asked to recheck the transmission fluid. I paid $260 for labor only( $160 to Joe and $100 to another mechanic) for same job. It's really absurd. Overall this could have damaged my transmission. I think for future the customer advise should be taken seriously. I know my car well so I know when it's not acting good. I have been driving it from 10 years.

I know at some point it'll run its course but the price of new cars is too much. So I'll have to keep fixing my car. In February 2023 I heard this throttle or cranking when I brake. Took to a repair shop and guy can figure out what's wrong. One shop even told me it could be the transmission. I called Victory and spoke with Greg (owner) made an appointment to drive the car to Van Nuys. He drove my car as I waited at his office and when he came he said I need new brakes. He went to his computer and then he gave the estimate and I agreed for him to do the job. December 2024 I hear a grinding sound on the right side of my car. I called Greg and I drove to his shop. He drove my car and came back and said it's the wheel bearing. He gave me an estimate and I had him do the job. Feb 6 2026 my car will not start after a few tries of trying to crank it, my husband said it wasn't a battery issue. I called Greg and he said to have the car towed to his shop and it'll take about 2-3 hours to see what's wrong with it (he works on a lot cars on a daily basis). I called AAA and had my car towed to Victory. I called Greg around 3 pm and he said there's nothing wrong with my car he drove it around and every time he stops the car and the car starts again. We drove to pick up the car and this is simply astonishing Greg did not let me pay for any diagnostic to check my car. It's rare any business gives free service these days. Greg is simply reliable and honest mechanic/ auto shop I've been to even driving from SCV to make sure that my car is take care of!!
