Complete waste of time. They are trying to find someone in desperate need to completely rip off. Wanted to charge me upwards of $3,000 for simple washer/dryer hookup when other LICENSED plumbers quoted me $500 with parts/labor I guarantee you that you will get ripped off if you don't have the slightest clue about prices. I have an upstairs dual sink vanity with side by side sinks that would not drain. I had another plumbing company come out and try but they could not clear the drain. After several weeks, apparently, both a water leak in my front yard and a gas leak at my water heater, I am finally sealed up and leak-free! I am a big DIY person and don't generally like hiring professionals for simple to medium jobs. However, in this instance, my best chance for a bill adjustment from LADWP is to produce receipts from a professional repair. Once I was able to finally schedule with Phil, Mike came out and assessed the job. We talked about the two options and he gave me a rough quote for one of them. I had the best experience with this company! I called them to get a quote for a leaky faucet, they responded immediately and I had two people inspecting my leaky faucet for an estimate the next day. They came back a week later for installation and we had a huge huge problem ... on installation an old rusty pipe shattered and needed to be replaced. That required a wall to be opened!!! APM offers quick response to Yelp! inquiries. I had a moderately urgent need for fixing a toilet that was a little above my beginner expertise (it involved taking apart the tank). APM were quick to confirm an early opening in their schedule to inspect the situation. APM sent Mike to take a look. He gave a fair quote and did a standard repair on my toilet issue in less than an hour. He also noted some related toilet issues to be aware of in the future. A few days later, I had trouble with the same toilet again. I did not know whether the issue was related to the previous repair, but I did not want to mess with it in fear that I might make things worse. APM arranged an appointment the next day. Mike and another guy arrived and took a look. They told me it was an average clog that I could do myself. So saving myself money, I did. When we called today at 11am, he told us the earliest he could probably make it would be around 3 to 4 PM, but he actually showed up at 1 PM and was able to fix our sink and install the new garbage disposal we had purchased. He is friendly, respectful and most of all honest. He gave us an estimate before he started and that is what we paid. He cleaned up everything when he was finished. Mike is not only polite, professional and concsciencious, but extremely dedicated to doing the best job. My slab leak became more of a job than was expected, even while working with a leak detection company, but he never gave up. What should have been a 2 hour job became about an 8 hour job. They were the third company I called because I wanted to go with a more local business, but the first two on my list were 1- booked until the following week, and 2- voicemail. This company's website sounded great even though they weren't close by, but Mike answered my call immediately and came that day to check out the jobs I had. It turned out that the pressure regulator my neighbor had warned me about months ago also needed to be checked but I'd forgotten. It was one of the first and necessary things Mike needed to check and sure enough, it needed to be replaced so 3 jobs turned into 4.
