Carrolls tire on Rosedale Hwy, I have been buying all my family's tires here for over 25 years. The other day I was in to get balanced and rotated which I paid for at the time of the purchased approximately 1600.00. When the big weightlifter guy had an attitude and said he hates working for free, I assured him I PAID for this service when I bought the tires. Now it's time to buy a new set for my other truck and I not so sure I will be doing business with Carrolls any longer. A neighbor recommended this place to me and I am so grateful. I had just spent a small fortune on a new windshield and as you all know, they are always costly visits at the dealership. So, same week, I had a screw in my pricy run flat tires. Wanted to steer clear of the dealership. I went in one weekday, of course they were busy and told me to return at 4pm, same day and they would help me out. And they did. Service was fine, Leo my technician was a quiet, seemingly nice guy and not too long later, I was out of there only $20 poorer. Great deal. 2 things but nothing to dock stars over... I would have liked the see the screw for some reason as you cannot exactly see what they are doing with your car in their car bays. Don't ask me why I wanted to see it but needed to see the cause of my mini aggravation, I guess! Also, it was sweltering hot and I had no idea there was a little seating area at the back to relax in. The shop has A/C but at first glance, all encased by tires, you see bathrooms but not the waiting area. I would go back if I had to and also would recommend this no nonsense, no frills tire place! would give zero if could, sold me tires that went bald in 13,000 miles. caused me slid and hit the side of the mountain. came back and they wanted to charge me for all new tires, after 5 months on the ones they sold me for 915 dollars. they finally decided to replace 2 and went flat the same day. we went in to have them check it 2 days later, that said it was a cracked rim although they didn't tell us that till it went flat. they told us to get our tire and get out of their store. unbelievabl, put your trust into a company and they treat you like dirt. would not recommend to anyone, even my enemies. worst place ever! will be contacting an attorney. Fast forward to 40% life on my oil. Oil is leaking! I took it to the dealer (Jeep), had an oil change, they said the oil filter was loose!! I'll stick with the dealer. My husband took his truck here. When we went to pick it up we noticed a huge dent on the front bumper. Of course when we asked to see the camera footage they said the cameras didn't work. Since we couldn't prove the dent happened there they only paid for half of the damages we are left paying for the repairs out of pocket. I sent here by Costco they recommended Carroll's to replace my lug nut stud that was Striped. Went in they said they needed at least 1 1/2 hour to do job to please bring it back. Also no appointments it's first come. By the way I live in Shafter so it's a drive. So headed back in and showed up at 11ish was told they couldn't accommodate me. He tried to tell me that we were told to be there 1st thing in the morning. That was not what he said. He said "the job needed at least 1 1/2 hour". Was not very nice I even said I could leave it and pick it up later that evening. Was shot down. The store does not have very good customer service was so disappointed and with gas prices these days I can't believe that they were not very accommodating. will not do any business with this store again. Went to Lee Schwab's was very accommodating very nice got me right in said they would call me when everything was done. I have been frequenting Carrolls Tires for several years now after getting a recommendation from a friend who's been buying his tires there, and recommending it to family and friends, for much longer. I dealt with the former manager, Lorenzo, and he always took good care of me - always sold me a quality product at a good price, with never an upsell attempt. Recently, after an inopportune flat (4:30 am just North of the Grapevine) I had another opportunity to return. Lorenzo is gone (alas) but his replacement was fabulous. He got me a great deal and had the new tires on the car, associated services performed, and had me out of there in less than half the time he quoted (WELL under an hour). Was in at 1:40pm and home by 3:15 which I felt was good timing considering they changed all four tires and did an alignment. I do wish the waiting areas was a bit cleaner but it's a tire shop I shouldn't expect much from their waiting areas. The waiting area has about 8 chairs, a soda machine, candy machines and a TV with satellite cable. They leave the control in the seating area for the customers to change the channels, which can either be good or bad. While I was waiting a lady was very into a ghost whisperer type show which no one else had interest in. Once she left another customer just changed it to the news... Fox news?!? Thankfully I had my phone to entertain me. I suggest calling this place and asking for Mike. Definitely worth comparing their prices and tire selection to other shops in town. The prices are beyond reasonable which is why I decided to go with this place. They had the lowest prices for the tires I wanted for my Mercedes. Left a satisfied customer. :) read more

We went to the Rosedale Hwy location. They are very courteous and accurate with their projections of time needed to serve (that same day, in our case). They repaired a damaged tire, and didn't try to sell us 4 new ones. They did recommend rotor repair, which didn't seem outlandish for that auto. I'm pleased with the service. read more

I've purchased two sets of Michelin high performance tires from Carroll's - the last set was purchased nine months ago. Recently, I damaged a side-wall on a front tire, requiring Michelin to evaluate the tires for a warranty adjustment on the replacement tires (I had to replace both front tires). I discovered that Carroll's is no longer a Michelin authorized outlet - given the cost of these tires, lack of support is a big deal. Fortunately, I opened a case with Michelin on their website and America's Tire Co. (Clovis) was able to apply the adjustment. A lesson learned: low profile tires are prone to sidewall impact damage - I hit a freeway sinkhole at 70mph. Road hazard insurance is a worthwhile investment. But be careful, read the contract to make certain that the coverage includes complete replacement or substantial pro-rating. read more

Rosedale location in Bakersfield: Customer service is great until you have a question no matter how straight forward, simple, and polite you are. You will be rushed to make a decision with out any given details to make an informed decision. The impatience (I'm talking about seconds after "discussing" a matter)of the front desk staff is merely a joke and one member in particular will unnecessarily talk back to you (which happened on my last visit). I used to come here for very basic car services as the prices were pretty good. They lost me as a customer recently thanks to one of the servicemen back (talking who I mentioned in an official complaint to corporate) and their incompetence in not being able to complete the work needed. Big Brand was able to simply fix the issue with out any problems, great customer service, and way under the estimated time needed (they were very busy too). * I have approx 20 years of customer service/relations experience and have never treated anyone as badly as I was treated here.
