Very hardy, traditional American breakfast menu. Service was friendly but a little erratic. We had a large table - 10 people - and the first people to get served were nearly done with their meal before the last ones got served. The inside was clean and simple - exactly what you'd expect a "Waffle House" to look like. However the food was delicious, the waffles were light, the eggs cooked perfectly, and we all left with full bellies and a smile on our faces.

Great place to go. Very old school vibe with classic fare. Waffles were fresh and tasted great. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. Well worth the drive and I will definitely be going back.

Delicious #3: waffle with bacon and eggs over easy.

My wife, a new immigrant, was even more taken with my this place than I. The music and the decor take you back to your childhood, whether you grew up in the 50's, 60's or 70's. Just the items on the table; such a simple touch; make this American Waffle House a special place to have a nicely-cooked diner breakfast. The service is very good and you can enjoy breakfast anytime; as well as lunch or dinner. The waffles, naturally, are a great option, but everything they make is tasty fresh and served rapidly.

If you want a monster sized breakfast for your monster sized appetite, the waffles and pancakes here are calling your name. Not to be confused with the Waffle House chain known throughout the South, this is the American Waffle House! ::wave the red, white & blue:: If the giant US flag doesn't fill you in, then park your keister in a red diner booth to experience a real American breakfast. There's on-street parking in front and plenty of spaces in the fully reconstructed municipal lot in the back makes driving here super convenient. Grab a red vinyl booth along the walls or the tables in the middle can be parked together to handle large groups of 10-16. The menu is a 3 section gatefold with full pages for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's even a children and seniors section if you want more reasonably sized, economical eats. But AWH is famous for their BIG Breakfasts. You can order the Hungry Man's Special, where you'll get a pancake stacked on top of a Belgian waffle and the sides are 2 eggs (cooked your way), bacon, sausage and hash brown patty. If that's not enough for you, then get an order of their exclusive Funky Hash Browns, grill top chopped-up concoction of hash browns, ham & cheese. Or get a side of corned beef hash, which you can get extra crispy well done. There are also smaller breakfast combos if you're not ravenously hangry. The Chicken & Waffles are a local favorite also. You get 4pcs of a crispy fried 1/2 chicken and a whole Belgian Waffle. The waffle was freshly made, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My chicken last time was dry and seemed freezer burned, though. When the bones are black, you know that it's been in the freezer for a while. I really want to come back next time and try out their burgers. Our server both times was Bridget and she is a gem!

Generous portions!!! We ordered 5 silver pancakes and received a few more pancakes! Thank you! We ordered 2 eggs with hash brown and toast and received extra toast! Thank you so much! The chicken and waffles are absolutely delicious! Flavorful chicken and good textured waffles, just cooked perfectly! Add butter and you're in food heaven! We loved our lunch dine-in! The baby girl cannot wait to go back for another great lunch experience!

Sat us right down for a party of 6. Very cute vibe inside, retro diner! Menu had a lot of options for all. Especially breakfast. There is no avocados unfortunately. The kitchen messed up our omelette orders forgetting to put bacon in and forgot to provide hash browns with my BLT order. They corrected it. The waffle was very good too.

We dined in for breakfast for the first time today and we were greeted and seated quickly. Upon walking in you could feel the hometown vibe of this restaurant. The inside is decorated with classic American paintings, red booths and a big American flag over the front door. I had the French toast with bananas and Nutella, which was absolutely delicious. I've only ever had dry French toast at diners but this was anything but dry. It was perfect. Our table also ordered a waffle with bacon and eggs. The eggs were cooked just right and the bacon was crispy. Overall, this breakfast spot was a hit not only for the good food and Americana decor, but the service was just above and beyond. Our server was great and kept offering coffee when we got low, we were really taken care of. I would recommend this for breakfast but also saw they have a huge menu for lunch/dinner too, plus they are open late!

A nostalgic style diner, I just breakfast they have lunch and dinner too, they're open early and late for seven days, plenty of free parking in the rear of the building, inside, set up like a traditional 50's style diner, Big comfortable booths, Great staff service was very good, the food is outstanding, fresh, very tasty, good quality and fair prices, I enjoyed the hungry man, special, monte Cristo sandwich was delicious, very diverse menu, something on there for everybody

I'm the kind of person who gets jealous when I see the owner of a diner chatting it up with the regulars. What do they have that I don't? Consistency, I guess. My husband has been coming here from years and had been dying to go back since we moved to Seaford. We finally went and I was super impressed with the cleanliness and commitment to social distancing during the Covid era. The waitress was a pleasure and the food was omg delish! Like, SO delish. Cut to- I spy the owner hamming it up with some guests. Everyone was laughing at his jokes and genuinely having a great time. Cue my jealousy. But then... just as we're about to leave... the owner notices us and strikes up a conversation (I don't even remember now what it was about. I was just on such a high from finally being recognized). It dawned on me that the patrons he was previously chatting with were probably not even "regulars". The owner is just so welcoming and nice to everyone that he makes you feel like you belong. Great food, quintessential diner ambiance, and a strong focus on genuine hospitality is what makes this place amazing. If you haven't gone, go! We will be back.

Simplified quintessential American dining experience with no frills. It feels like going back to the 90s and it's wonderful to have a place with no electronic distractions.

First time trying this place this weekend. Interior is on the small side, dark, and tables fill up…read morevery fast, so make a reservation to be safe. This place is described as tapas-style, so some dishes are on the smaller size, but the more expensive dishes are full portion: the burger, chicken, pasta w/crab, etc. Seems they also change their menu very regularly, as I saw some fantastic looking things in the pictures here, none of which were on the menu. On the more expensive side price wise, and there is a full bar and bourbon selection to punch it higher. Tried a few things, some I'd skip if I came back, but also a few things I'd like to try that I didn't get to. Skippables include the Gouda Gruyères: onion soubise and the cacio e pepe, both underwhelming and more expensive than it should have been. I also tried the gem salad, chicken wings, the rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe, and the flan for dessert. Flavors were good, the wings were very heavy on the salt but had good flavor, and everything else was covered in tons of cheese, from the salad to the pasta, it was a lot. Service was quick, waitress friendly. People in the area seem to absolutely love this place and overhearing people talk, there's nothing bad on the menu, and the corn agnolotti was delicious (I was sad to have changed my order, this is what I was originally going to get). Interested in seeing a fall menu for this place!
