    Bug found on floor

I'm not even going to talk about the food because that's irrelevant. While sitting in the dining area waiting for food I spotted not one but two bugs turned over writhing on the floor. Looked like roaches. Definitely will never come back here again.

I was hyped when I last ate at the ABW on Nine Mile Road. So when I saw this ABW on Finlay Street, I was eager to try it. I ordered, to go: * Garlic Bread * Fettuccine Alfredo * 4 piece Chicken Tenders * Philly Cheesesteak At home, I started with one slice of Garlic Bread. Somewhat stale & crusty. Garlic flavor is scant. And not made with butter. Cardinal Sin. Over the next 12-18 hours I ate the remaining pieces, but I would not order it again. Next were the Chicken Tenders. They were rather large, so I only ate two. Very unimaginative. Rather vapid, I also ate the remaining CT over the next 12-18 hours, Again, I would not order it again. Similar story for the Fettuccine Alfredo. Bland and unimaginative. I ate half then and half the next day. I'm really striking out here. Perhaps the Philly Cheesesteak. By this time, it had cooled somewhat, so with a bit of nuking, I ate half. That was the best part of the whole meal. Not a terrific PCS, but good enough such that I enjoyed half then, and half the next day. It stood up overnight quite well. ABW has a rather extensive menu. I'd like to give them a chance to redeem themselves. The other ABW had good Fried Mushrooms, so I'll try that when I return. And I'll give their Cheese Burger a try. The store was very clean. The one gentleman I interacted with were quite pleasant, although I had a bit of difficulty understanding his ESL. Parking was easy in the shared lot. I intend to return.

The best wings in Richmond hands down! I come at least once a week my favorite flavor of wings is honey garlic but I also love their grilled shrimp skewers and dirty rice. The customer service is always good which is always a plus for me. They have over 30 flavors of wings

This place just opened up not to long ago. I was looking forward to checking them out because wings stop kept screwing up. Prices are average for a wing place and the menu is "yuge". I ordered the 10wing combo with fries and a drink and was pleasantly surprised! The wings were big and crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Everything you'd want in a wing! The fries are crinkle cut and begging for cheese sauce which I will happily get the next time. Total wait time was 10 min and the service was great. He even let me try a few of the sauces I wasn't sure about. If you're in the area and craving wings come here! Leave that other place alone.

I'm very fortunate to have found this place in my travels through Richmond. I'm unsure if this is in Hampton Roads area but during my stay in Richmond seeing a local place with America's Best Wings and decided to give it a try. I don't know if I can give them the title of America's Best Wings but they sure were good , great texture great sauce friendly staff cook fresh and was very Speedy with my order didn't take too long. I will be back to try more on the menu I will say the menu was very wide from fish dinners to shrimp so I will be back to taste more

No sauce needed! Another standout was the cucumber & tomato salad which had just the right amount of vinegar. The green beans and the cabbage were tasty, but just a tad too salty for me. I can't fault them, as I rarely use salt, it's likely my palette that is off. The pulled pork was excellent, but needed sauce. Alas I cannot have sweet sauces. I then got the idea to combine the pork with the cabbage and found it similar to the experience of eating luau pork with poi. Better together! I added the leftover vinegar dressing from the C&T salad to the green beans and found that also was a hit. The desserts were very tempting, but I opted instead to order enough brisket and pulled pork for the weekend. It's proven to be very filling!! I also can't say enough about the staff. So genuinely welcoming, helpful, friendly, and clearly proud of their product (as they should be!). Put a smile on my face and will look forward to returning on future trips to Richmond!

The Mac and cheese.. the cheese was so hard I threw the whole thing away. The baked beans was canned no seasoning and my cabbage had more of the root then leaves. I'm so pissed!

It can get a little pricy, especially when you want to try all of the things, but the portions were plentiful and tasted delicious. We started with the cheese stick roulette, where they apparently prep a bunch of different cheeses for cheese sticks earlier in the week, and then just randomly grab six to deep fry when you order it. You have no idea what it is, they have no idea what it is. Pretty fun and delicious and we love cheese, so total win. We ended up cutting them in half just to check what they were before eating because the kids do not like anything remotely spicy and pepper jack is one of the cheeses, so we just had to verify it wasn't that so they could eat it and hubs and I ate those ones instead. I thought the tomato coulis it was served with was stellar, and the fruity jam was also amazing. I could not decide which one was better for dipping the cheesesticks in, and I ended up keeping both condiments when the cheesesticks were gone so I could dip my fries in them. A fantastic choice, they were both great with the fries. Which I might add, are AWESOME! They are scoopable fries. So... like a cross between potato skins and potato wedges. They were both crispy and soft and very unique and so worth the trip. They also use the cheese dip instead of just shredded cheese, so it stays creamy and gooey. All of the burgers sounded awesome and it took us a very long time to decide what we wanted (I had been looking at the menu days in advance to make sure I could decide) and we opted for the Southern Gentleman (pimento cheese, hot honey and fried chicken) and the PBJ and I can't decide which one I liked more. They were both completely different and completely delicious. If I had to make a recommendation... I'd say bring a friend, order one of each and split them like hubs and I did. Choices are for suckers. Kiddos opted for the cheese fries that he came for (which come with bacon, btw) and the kiddos cheeseburger meal, and they both loved them. The service was great too, even when this place was pretty darn crowded on a weekday lunch hour. Also, don't be fooled by the storefront driving by, this restaurant is waaaaaaaay bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. There was plenty of seating. The music was a touch too loud, but they also had some yummy sounding specialty drinks, as well as a bunch of local beers. My kids have been asking to come back pretty much since we left the restaurant.

It was a weekday after work. I went to my homegirl's house because I missed her birthday I offered to take her out someplace nice. She said no way man and immediately said we were going to this sandwich shop. This was the only thing she wanted. So we were gonna veg out on her couch. Have a couple cocktails and whatever else and watch something on TV. And her new couch is the bees knees. For me, the sandwich was perfect. The bread was beautiful and crusty. I was afraid it was going to be toasted and too crusty, and I'd be fighting to bite it and my sandwich guts spilling out while cutting up my gums and the roof of my mouth like it's Captain crunch or something.. BUT NO! It was PERFECT to bite through. They load you up with the meat they're not stingy. And the sauces... BABY! The aïoli was fantastic. My only beef is that horseradish aioli needed a little bit more of a kick, but that's a personal problem. My friend got the chicken Caesar and I see why it's popular. It is so garlicky and delicious. I already have plans on what I'm gonna get next time I go and I don't live close so it's gonna take a special trip and I intend to make it.

But every once in a while, you have to throw the diet out the window and let the sandwich win. And this sandwich won. I'd post a picture, but apparently my wife and I decided photography was less important than eating it. We absolutely demolished it before either of us thought, "Hey, we should take a picture." Even better, one sandwich was plenty for both of us. Generous portion, incredible flavor, and every bite was worth whatever guilt I was supposed to feel afterward. Next visit, I'm going after the steak sandwich. If it's even half as good as this one, I may have just found my new favorite sandwich spot. 10/10 -- would happily skip the diet again.

Earlier in the month, I was finally able to check them out for the first time. I had my eye on their Italian hoagie, which is listed under the Cold section, but I know better at this point in time of living in the South and the many Italian hoagies that I have had to refrigerate. So I ordered it without the tomato or peppers and served cold. I ordered it through the bartender, who told me that they do serve them cold and that they were out of peppers that day. Turns out they were not out of peppers and they did not serve it cold. I can't eat peppers due to food sensitivities, so I sent it back and asked for it to be re-made. This was the bartender's mistake, from the receipt I could see that he didn't send those notes to Fat Kid, to be clear. The second rendition was made correctly, and it was definitely tasty, but they are overpriced. It's pretty obvious from my picture that this wasn't some hefty, super stuffed and loaded with meats/cheese hoagie. It looks like a normal 6" hoagie. Not worth $11 for it, in my opinion. I'd rather spend $16 at Stanley's or $10 for a full-size at Mr. Submarine.
