The advisor asked me if I was sure that's what I wanted, due to the otherwise good condition of the tires. I truly appreciated that but, did opt for new ones. This place really borders on deceptive business practices. My 81 year old mother took her 17,000 mi. newer SUV in for a tire rotation and they tell her the vehicle needs a new set of tires. The salesman puts the hocus pocus tread depth gauge over each tire and claims they are too worn to rotate. I inspected the tires two days prior, and saw they had about 40% tread depth left on them. It angers me that they tried to take advantage of an elderly person, but fortunately I had warned her not to fall for any new tire sales pitch. It is super quick and easy to stop here to get air put in your tires, but that is just about all I would do here. They recently patched one of my tires where I had gotten a nail and thought everything was fixed and good to go. On a later trip to firestone, I had another spot that needed to be patched on the same tire. They showed me the patch work that America's Tire did, and it was absolutely horrible. It was extremely messy, and looked very thin and like it could wear down instantly. Seems to me like they do this service for free so that they look as though they are trying to help you out & make you think about get your future tires from them. BUT they did such a meh job so that your tire ends up needing replacement quicker...? just sad honestly. read more

Loyal customer of the Discount/Americas Tire for YEARS, bought multiple sets of tires for multiple vehicles including family and referred many friends. That sentiment went out the window the last trip to this Camarillo business. My first trip there wasn't horrible, the wait was extreme tho. Specific problem I had: nail in tire. I have expensive low profile tires that within 1 year, easily the tread depth is reduced. Plus the tires are prone to damage. So I had to half way through the life of the set was replace 2 tires out of state. No problem. This time I was told by the laziest guy in the world that ALL MY TIRES were at 2/32 and legally bald and refused any service other than me purchase 4 new tires. Ridiculous. Took my business elsewhere, too bad I just recently also purchased All terrains for my truck, I'll pay someone rather than rotate them there. read more

I just had my tires replaced here and it was super easy and smooth. I first shopped on their website and found the tires I wanted, then found a lower price at Walmart, when I submitted the lower price to their price match department, I quickly got a response that they'd give me the lower price. I just moved from Japan and I brought my car with me to the US. I just found out recently that my car doesn't have a spare tire. A few weeks ago I was looking for a spare for my car but things came up and I didn't have time to really look into it. A week ago I got a flat. My insurance company sent someone out to take my car to the repair shop. I chose America's Tire because of the good reviews on Yelp. The tow truck driver off-loaded my car in the parking area about 30 feet from the repair bays. My primary concern was moving the car into the bay without damaging the wheels. They instructed me that they would handle the situation however I wanted. I couldn't really devise a viable option to mitigate the damage so the tech decided to keep the car were it was and extend the air compression hose for the air gun. Great plan! They replaced both rear tires in the parking lot before driving it into the bay for the final inspection. If the wait time was shorter this would be a five-star review. I will return with any tire issues in the future. read more

Our car was finished with in the states amount of time, which to me is a great example of customer service! Have to say, I love this store! I've dealt mostly with the Camarillo store, but the few times I've been to other locations, they have all been very friendly and helpful. I've been to the Camarillo store many times just for a check of tire pressure! It's an free service, you just drive up where the sign says. Check Tire pressure" I had a a very slow leak that that they fixed for free, even though the tires were on the car when we bought it ! No hassles, fixed it right on the spot for free! Since the COVID, I knew it would be best to call to see if I could get a slow leaking tire fixed, glad I did. it was suggested that I come to fill the tire, would have to come to my appointment 4 hours later. I was happy to do so since it meant they would have time to fix it that day. Once I arrived at my appointment they were prompt in checking me in. During the time I was waiting they let me know the status of the repair, how much time it would be. Once the tire was fixed, let me know where my car would be parked. This great service was all free of charge! This is the reason I have bought my replacement tires here. Customer service goes a long way. read more

We love America's Tire. They can get extremely busy at times. It's best to make an appointment but they still do a great job getting us in and out as quickly as possible even as a walk-in. Love the price matching and the tire insurance. My car feels safer and my MPG goes up (a little) after their free rotation and balance services. If you are looking for a poorly run tire store, America's Tire is for you. I brought my classic car in there today to have my tires replaced. I walked into the shop where there were at least 10 employees, none of which had the presence of mind to say, "Can I help you!" We had confirmed in writing with Mitch, store manager, that the balancing counterweights would be installed on the inside of the rim, which I further confirmed with Duane when I arrived to drop off the car in the morning. When I arrived back to pick up the car, of course, the counterweights were mounted on the outside of the rim instead of the inside of the rim. It was also recommended that all the tires be changed out due to the age of the car , something I had been planning to do in the near future anyway . Now this is officially our tire shop! My husband purchased tires for his car from this place first, but I was the one who took his car in. I didn't really want to because I knew I don't usually get good service at auto kind of shops. I was wrong. Employees were very polite and friendly. Importantly they don't over promise. I was told that it would take about one hour, but it was done in 45 min. My second visit was when my minivan's tire check light turned on. Even though I purchased my tires from another shop, it didn't matter they checked air pressure for free. A gentleman who helped me was very kind. After two good experience, I had to come back to this place when my tires on minivan went bad. As always, they were super nice. How refreshing! Employees are nice to customers. I had a blow-out on the freeway in Camarillo this morning and knew I needed all new tires and also had been noticing this store on my commute each day so the timing was great. I haven't seen customer service like this in decades (I'm old and know from decades ) The doors opened at 8 am sharp and everyone was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff. And an adequate staff! I believe Joshua is the name of the young man who assisted me. He was professional, efficient, and courteous. He was also patient and helped me to make a good decision even though I had lost my voice and was not feeling my sharpest. David checked and fixed my air pressure faster than any other America's Tire visit I've ever had. Usually anything in a Northern CA facility takes at LEAST an hour if not 2+hrs, but this facility has it figured out! Pull up outside, have one person handling all the air checks. Done. Efficient! I highly recommend the American tires in Camarillo. You do not have to make and I was seen and serviced within 45 minutes. In other places you have to wait longer than that and you definitely have to make an appointment. The service was amazing and the staff members are caring. I appreciate the knowledge and excellent customer service that I receive consistently whenever I rotate or purchase tires. I made an appointment for a tire rotation and left with two new tires. They informed me that my tire treads were dangerously worn - I'm so embarrassed I went that long (8k or more miles) and could've been in serious danger with the rain. I arrived at 1pm and left in less than 30 min. The pricing is reasonable and they helped me find comparable tires that were within my price range and driving needs.
