This review is for this specific America's Tire Co location. My tires were bought at another America's Tire Co. and were due for a rotation so I brought them to this location because it was on my way home. The guy there came out to measure my tires with "his finger" and proceeds to tell me they can't be rotated, are badly worn and that I in fact need new tires (I had measured my treads at home and they were fine). This is "after" I had told him I was getting rid of the car and not looking to do anything with it. He proceeds to try and sell me used tires even though I had told him again I was not looking to put anymore $ into the car. Bottom line, they wouldn't rotate my tires and the only service they would give me would be if I bought tires from them, so I left. I take my car to a place I trust and low and behold---I am told I definitely do NOT need new tires and will not need new tires for a while and that there is nothing dangerous about my current ones. Basically the guy at America's Tire Co. was trying to make a quick buck and figured as a female I would buy into all that. I am assuming since it was busy that day they didn't want to deal with my "free tire rotation" because it isn't beneficial to them. Save yourself some time, if you have tires from this company, take it to a different location. The one in Huntington Beach on Warner has far better service AND they are honest. read more

The Store Manager at this place is a CON ARTIST. I've been going to this place for years and recently decided to get a new set of wheels, 2 of my wheels still had about 50% thread. Big O tires had the same set cheaper. I asked for the price match, normally they also provide trade in value if the wheels are decent. i check in this morning at american tires in avalon blvd carson for slow leak on my tire and for tire rotatio. the guy started to check the depth of the tread. he suggested for me to buy new tire instead of get the tire fix. i told him all i need is get the tire fix and rotation. he will not do it. i ended up going to small shop (rey tires) at torrance blvd corner normandie. job well done for $40 tire fix and rotation. read more

I bought the drag 31 rims, but because they were on national back order they gave me the option to choose a different rim I liked the drag 34s and they price matched the drag 31s. Went in at around 2:00pm on a saturday, the place was busy, stood in line for at least 25 minutes but when i was next up i was like oooh yea!.. anyway, Alex came up to me, greeted me, shook my hand (we both had dirty ones so it was cool) and asked how he could help, i showed him my tire i had walked up to the shop from my breakdown about a lil over a mile back and pointed out my valve strm had blew up, i was like can this be fixed without buying a new tire. He was like "maaan, i hook u up, ima pop this one off n put a new one on man youll be good to go" i was like.. I'm not a frequent review writer, so when I do, it's because of exceptional service! I came in with a flat that needed to be replaced. Since my car was less than 3 months old, I was suggested to get the exact same tire instead of a comparable one (which makes sense). But this location didn't have my tires in stock. That's where Neil comes in! He was awesome, calling other stores and the tire distributor to work out a fast solution for me. Since they wouldn't be able to get the tire until late the next day, Neil offered to put a good, used tire on so I could at least get home safely. He didn't even care if I didn't come back. So now I have peace of mind driving and can get my tire replaced at my convenience. Now that's what I call service! read more

mrs. D. I had always purchased tires from costco. There was a problem with one and my husband took it to your shop since it is in the neighborhood. The tire was fixed with no charge. When it was time to purchase tires again we compared prices and service and choose you. I had a slow leak in my front tire arrived at 6:20 pm(closed at 6 pm) the young man said not to worry they would take care of it. They removed the tire put the spare on and made an appointment for the following day. Today my son had a flat AAA called could not remove lug nuts. Had flat bed tow to your shop we arrived at 6:05 pm. AAA said he would take me to another tire shop. A young man came from the work area to see what the problem was. He said just give me a minute and we will take care of you. Jesus wrote it up moved the vehicle into the bay area and had another young man put the spare on. This is the best tire company I have ever had service my tires. I hit a huge pothole traveling EB on Sepulveda just past the Carson refineries B4 the 103 in Long Beach. It was almost midnight with no traffic so I slowly drove my 2011 Honda Fit Sport two miles to home. A friend & I installed my never used donut tire the next day. America's Tire was the only place that had my tires in stock. The lines for walk-ins, appts, & pick-up were clearly marked & moved quickly. The friendly man at the intake desk came out with us to inspect my car & obviously knew his tires. He suggested two new rear tires & rotating the 6 y/o "still OK" tire & 2 y/o "good" tires to the front. We went out to eat & they called to say car was ready just as we finished dinner. We were out of there in under 10 minutes. They re-set the TPMS, balanced & rotated the tires, cleaned the wheels (rims were undamaged), inflated to the correct air pressure, & even popped the body seams back into place. I was very impressed. I see why they stay busy. The envelope containing the receipt provides details of all you need to know about tire maintenance. I will be back for a free inspection when indicated & for all my tire needs. Sorry, Walmart & that other place up the road. I love the large glass jars full of a huge variety of nails extracted from tires labeled with the time span collected. Nice decorative touch. Nice waiting area with protective covers on the many magazines. Only negative was mainly auto industry magazines & no Cosmo or Ladies Home Journal. Very well run operation. read more

We showed up and he walked us through the entire process without being pushy. After telling him our budget, he found the perfect tires that fit our car. Shawn at this store was amazing (sorry if I spelled the name wrong). My wife was in CA for a wedding at got a huge nail in her tire. This was at 3:00 pm the day before Easter. No one had the correct tire and the three shops she visited were slammed and couldnt even look at a possible repair for hours - which would have made her miss the wedding. I called this shop in a final act of desperation and Shawn said "ya, no problem. We dont have the exact tire but we have a tire that will work". That was totally acceptable. I just didnt want my wife and daughter to have to stay in CA for Easter and not get home until Monday. She didnt make it to this shop until 4:20 pm (and they close at 5:00) but between Shawn and Eric they got the tired replaced and even though they had to stay open a bit past 5:00 they hooked us up. Awesome guys! I use Discount Tire here in Vegas and this is the same chain - they have always been wonderful to work with and this was no exception. This is my second time going to Americas tire co. And both times have been a pretty good experience. My only complaint would be today's wait time when I first got there I was quoted a wait time of an hour I decided to go through with it but when the guy who was doing the inspection came out he told me it would be a two hour wait .... Being the impatient person that I am I called the Torrance location took my car there and the had me out in 45 mins :) I had an okay customer service experience with the Torrance location and they got me back up and rolling . I will continue to come here to get my tires fixed and I highly recommend you do the same . They saved me money that I didn't have :) read more

So I went late last night, and first there was only one sales man working, with a line of folks waiting. Next, and I understand I was on a short time schedule for receiving tires but I would think they could of tried a bit higher to meet my needs. After we finally got helped, and decided on the tire we were gonna try and get, I was really thrown around the bush to try and get an estimated time frame, and the salesman really didn't want to call and see if it is do able, but told me he would call me first thing in the morning, and I believed him, he said by 0830. Next morning came, no call, I had to call. When I did I was told my tires would be there between 12-2pm and that I would receive a call by 2:30 to help me with an appointment. I believed that too, 3:30 came and no call, and then I call and was told my tires wouldn't be there til late next week, a no go obviously cause of the time frame, so on top of that they were terribly rude on the phone. read more

Horrible service!!!!!Do not come here ever!!!! Guy named Neil purposely punctured a hole in an already blown out tire so that he could make some money on an warranty claim. When confronted about it Neils behavior changed because he knew he had been caught..when asked to speak with store manager Erik Johnson he was unavailable because he was checking inventory. In December 2011, I got 2 new Goodyear Fortera 305 40R22 for my 2006 Navigator to replace 2 of the same Fortera tires which went 58K miles in the hot San Fernando Valley - pretty amazing. 1 tire had somehow gotten a gash on the sidewall which wasn't able to be repaired and we got a second Fortera so the car would be balanced with the 2 new tires on the rear of the car. Our intention was to replace the 2 remaining tires (now on the front) as soon as we had the funds. Well, this morning I brought the car into my mechanic for a service and somehow as they were backing the car out of the bay, some sharp part of some tool slashed one of the old front tires, which again, was unable to be repaired because it was on the outer wall. My mechanic was of course going to pay for the tire but since we always go to him and trust him plus he gives us xlnt prices and terrific service, we said "no. Just put on the spare so I can drive." (Naturally, they were thrilled that we were going to eat the cost of the one tire so they didn't charge me for the 60k service on the car!) My plan was to try to find 2 tires today although when I got the other two 6 weeks ago, they had to come from Oklahoma City because they were not available anywhere close to L.A. What I discovered this morning was that now these tires in this size are completely out of stock from Goodyear and NATIONWIDE BACK ORDERED with no delivery for the next 2-4 months! It was going to be a chore to find 2 tires but I tried. Decided to get 2 again because who knows the availability in the near future. Nothing in the Valley, nothing anywhere in L.A., nothing in the Southbay and every place I called told me they were backordered. Duh. Not one to give up that easily, I sat down at the computer and figured I'd try an America's Tire store in Las Vegas and they could ship them if they had them. Nothing there either but the guy checked the computer and saw that there were 2 in Carson, a few in Phoenix and a few in Albuquerque. So it being just a measly 50 miles away, I tried Carson and sure enough they had a few of these hard-to-get tires which are unavailable anywhere! It was a miracle. Adrian (assistant manager) was so helpful. He made sure they were actually in stock and put them aside for me, made me an appointment, and I drove out there through yucky 405 traffic. I didn't care - they had two tires and I was going to get them TODAY! Great price, installed and everything in 45 minutes and the guys were so helpful and courteous. I would make them my all the time place if it was closer! YAY Adrian and the Carson store. You saved the day. Also, kudos to Las Vegas because you cared enough to help me find these tires at all. never again, a friend of my daughters in high school was driving around with metal showing from her tires, i know this is very dangerous but the little girl didnt have the money to get tires, i was out of state and i called added my brother to my american tire account, told him go pick up a set of basic simple safe tires , take them to her and try to help her get them put on as there is a used tire shop literally a hal a block away, my brother goes with my account information and they pulled up account an refused to sale them , he got me on the phone and i spoke to manager , the manager said the store policy is to not allow payment except cash or debit unless the tires are being installed by them at the location, i said to him i want to know where i can find a copy of that policy i explained we were trying to help someone out , i have a 2500.00 credit limit and i think if i was trying to do any type of fraud as he called it i would be trying to charge alot more than 243,00 it would not matter if he was installing it himself i would be trying to buy rims and all we are simply trying to use my account in which you pulled up by my brother typing in his ssn and has shown you his state issued id and other forms of id , the manager said he only has one state id i need 2. i said and that would be illegal, he said well the account is to new but you can got to a american tire where you are pay it and have it forwarded to me, are you serious? i am sorry i ever opened this account and will be closing it read more
