After going to Firestone and finding out that one of my tires had a slow leak that they said couldn't be repaired, I decided to stop by America's Tires since they carry brands that Firestone doesn't and that I prefer. Firestone recommended a couple of tires I had already researched and didn't meet my preference for a replacement. I told America that one of my rear tires had a slow leak and had them check to see if they could repair it or I needed to buy a replacement. I made an online appointment but decided to go early just in case I could get it done earlier. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, one of their salespeople took my information and had the mechanic begin checking the tire condition. After about 45 minutes, the car was done and they told me the tire was fixed. I was rather surprised since Firestone said the puncture was too close to the shoulder of the tire where it couldn't be patched. Hmmm. Anyway, I did ask about replacement tires since mine are about 7 years older and even if there is a lot of tread left, the rubber begins degrading starting around 6 years and becomes dangerous if you wait until they are 10 years old. When I asked about some Falkens and Yokohama's I had studied, he shared some of the differences in the compound used in manufacturing and which would be a better choice if I was driving highways to destinations like Las Vegas or San Diego. I'll probably buy a new set in about a year unless something happens before then. They didn't charge anything so I appreciate their honesty and consideration. My issue was a tire leak in my front passenger side tire so Jamal looked at the tire, got my info, and let me know the estimated wait time. I had a text letting me know my tire was repaired within 40 minutes. Amazing service from America's Tire. They know how to foster loyalty from a customer service standpoint. Quality: My SUV passenger side tire is not leaking any more air and I did not have to get a new front set of tires. Massive five stars for Quality. Value: My tire was repaired and I did not get charged for the repair. If they do you this massive great favor it means two things to decent humans out there in the world: 1. Tip the person that repaired your tire heavily (I recommend $50+) and 2. Do not go to another tire place when it is time to change your tires. Support the business that just supported you. If you do those two things in a tire patch situation you just succeeded in passing the "I'm a good person" test. read more

Our mechanic highly recommended coming through here for tire replacements. Big Bro took the lead on it (being a mechanic himself) and came through for Mom's ride. They were incredibly busy and asked him to return around 5:15. I was skeptical at first - they close at 6pm and wondered if they'd finish in time. But we dropped the car off as told, ran an errand after, came back 45 minutes later and... still not done. But we didn't mind - they sent us text updates letting us know where the car was so there are no surprises. However, car was already on a lift upon our return so it wasn't long before they were done. I had to go and look for it. Car had been serviced and no one let me know. Communications amongst the person that checks you in and the peple bringing you car and working on the car is poor. I'm at the point where I'm reconsidering buying tires from here, it is not worth the hassle and to be treated with zero regards. If the AI and Robots are coming, I hope it starts here. Been coming here for years. I try to get the earliest appointment. When they recently replaced all 4 of my tires and on another day, my wife's tires, they were finished luckily split, and I was done after a walk around Old Torrance, in under an hour. Because I bought the warranty, my tire was repaired for free when I was losing air in one tire because of a large bolt, 6 months after buying all 4 new tires. I've been following America's Tire aka Discount Tire since my Florida days in the 2000s! They've always provided excellent service and well-priced tires, initially recommended to me by my favourite mechanic in Orlando. My loyalty for all these years has not been misplaced! My most recent visit to this location was my first! I came for a routine tire rotation, and a nail was found in one of my tires. Before I even knew it, the service was done and the tire was repaired! Great service, guys! They could use some updated seating in the waiting area, or at least more comfortable seats. Also, this parking lot is really small, so drive safely! The last thing I would mention about this particular location is that you should check your tire pressure after your visit. I hesitated to write this because I like American tires, I usually frequent the one on Hawthorne, but after much thought I felt I needed to. My husband and I made an appointment to get a flat tire fixed on Friday, Feb 13th, the customer service rep and my husband went out to check the tires, after the guy used his little machine to measure my tire tread he informed my husband that the tread read at a 5 and my tires should be replaced soon. This immediately raised a red flag with my husband. My husband told him our car is 10 months old and just shy of 10,000 miles, my tires do not need replacing. He said well that's what the machine is reading, see., just trying to upsell us. My husband said I don't care what it says. He then tells my husband ok well it's gonna be about 3-3 1/2 hr wait! My husband said for an appointment? He was like oh yeah, ok it's gonna be 1-1 1/2. As we waited in the lobby we witnessed customer after customer was given the same speech, "Your tires are reading a 5 and need replacing soon". Now, fast forward to Mon Feb 16, we had a regular maintenance scheduled at the dealership, they checked the tires and results came back tires were fine reading 6+, picture below. My wife and I had plans to leave Saturday evening, but wouldn't you know it--nail in the tire, right in the non-repairable zone. Okay, no problem...new tire needed, under warranty. Absolutely the last time I go to this location. They have consistently gotten worse since the pandemic--they used to be consistent and produce quality work prior to this. On my most recent visit, I brought in my new vehicle and very clearly asked them to NOT damage the wheel rim. I took pictures of it before they started their work and we examined the pristine condition together. Then, after they completed their work, lo and behold, half of the rim is damaged with paint chipped!! Mind you, this is a brand new car with brand new wheels. When I bring this to the attention of the worker that performed the work, all he could reply with is, "I don't know how that happened." This place needs to stop hiring kids that don't understand the value of good, careful work. A nail was found on my tire and the dealership I get my car serviced at did not have it in stock. It was a very busy Saturday with the holidays coming up but chanced coming to this location to get a new tire. I did phone ahead and was warned that it was going to be about a 5 hour wait which was fine by me. There are limited parking spots so I had no choice but to park a block down from the store. The associate that assisted me was very nice and brought my car up for me so I didn't have to go back and get it. Luckily the tire just needed a patch job and I wasn't charged for the service. Though the store closes at 5:30 on Saturday's, I came by at almost 6 to pick up my car and there were still workers out there working on cars. I've given America's Tires more than enough chances, but the experience never improves. The wait times are excessive, even for something as simple as a single tire replacement. The staff is often rude and unhelpful, and the manager in particular has shown unprofessional behavior with concerning undertones in how different customers are treated. On top of that, their warranty promises don't mean much here -- they avoid honoring them whenever possible. It's extremely disappointing, and I can't recommend this location to anyone looking for fair, respectful, or efficient service. read more

During a storm in Jan '26 we were traveling in LA. I hit a massive pot hole in Venice and blew both right tires out. I have 4 vehicles with tires bought at AT in Redwood City with the full service/warranty coverage. I had to have my car AAA flatbeded for over to this AT Torrance on a stormy Sunday night. On Monday morning I called to share the situation, the. drove over when AT opened. It was really busy, but the staff got me in.
