After going to Firestone and finding out that one of my tires had a slow leak that they said couldn't be repaired, I decided to stop by America's Tires since they carry brands that Firestone doesn't and that I prefer. Firestone recommended a couple of tires I had already researched and didn't meet my preference for a replacement. I told America that one of my rear tires had a slow leak and had them check to see if they could repair it or I needed to buy a replacement. I made an online appointment but decided to go early just in case I could get it done earlier. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, one of their salespeople took my information and had the mechanic begin checking the tire condition. After about 45 minutes, the car was done and they told me the tire was fixed. I was rather surprised since Firestone said the puncture was too close to the shoulder of the tire where it couldn't be patched. Hmmm. Anyway, I did ask about replacement tires since mine are about 7 years older and even if there is a lot of tread left, the rubber begins degrading starting around 6 years and becomes dangerous if you wait until they are 10 years old. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked about some Falkens and Yokohama's I had studied, he shared some of the differences in the compound used in manufacturing and which would be a better choice if I was driving highways to destinations like Las Vegas or San Diego.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll probably buy a new set in about a year unless something happens before then. Our mechanic highly recommended coming through here for tire replacements. Big Bro took the lead on it (being a mechanic himself) and came through for Mom's ride. They were incredibly busy and asked him to return around 5:15. I was skeptical at first - they close at 6pm and wondered if they'd finish in time. But we dropped the car off as told, ran an errand after, came back 45 minutes later and... still not done. But we didn't mind - they sent us text updates letting us know where the car was so there are no surprises. However, car was already on a lift upon our return so it wasn't long before they were done. A grand and change for four tires. Not bad for something that'll last years. Good first run. Will keep 'em on my radar for future tire needs. read more

I've been following America's Tire aka Discount Tire since my Florida days in the 2000s! They've always provided excellent service and well-priced tires, initially recommended to me by my favourite mechanic in Orlando. My loyalty for all these years has not been misplaced! My most recent visit to this location was my first! I came for a routine tire rotation, and a nail was found in one of my tires. Before I even knew it, the service was done and the tire was repaired! Great service, guys! They could use some updated seating in the waiting area, or at least more comfortable seats. Also, this parking lot is really small, so drive safely! The last thing I would mention about this particular location is that you should check your tire pressure after your visit. My wife and I had plans to leave Saturday evening, but wouldn't you know it--nail in the tire, right in the non-repairable zone. Okay, no problem...new tire needed, under warranty. How fast can this be done? Abel didn't miss a beat: "First thing in the morning." AWESOME. I was planning to call him at 10:00 AM, but instead Abel calls me at 9:30 AM! Absolutely the last time I go to this location. They have consistently gotten worse since the pandemic--they used to be consistent and produce quality work prior to this. On my most recent visit, I brought in my new vehicle and very clearly asked them to NOT damage the wheel rim. I took pictures of it before they started their work and we examined the pristine condition together. Then, after they completed their work, lo and behold, half of the rim is damaged with paint chipped!! Mind you, this is a brand new car with brand new wheels. When I bring this to the attention of the worker that performed the work, all he could reply with is, "I don't know how that happened." This place needs to stop hiring kids that don't understand the value of good, careful work. I hesitated to write this because I like American tires, I usually frequent the one on Hawthorne, but after much thought I felt I needed to. My husband and I made an appointment to get a flat tire fixed on Friday, Feb 13th, the customer service rep and my husband went out to check the tires, after the guy used his little machine to measure my tire tread he informed my husband that the tread read at a 5 and my tires should be replaced soon. This immediately raised a red flag with my husband. My husband told him our car is 10 months old and just shy of 10,000 miles, my tires do not need replacing. He said well that's what the machine is reading, see., just trying to upsell us. My husband said I don't care what it says. He then tells my husband ok well it's gonna be about 3-3 1/2 hr wait! My husband said for an appointment? He was like oh yeah, ok it's gonna be 1-1 1/2. As we waited in the lobby we witnessed customer after customer was given the same speech, "Your tires are reading a 5 and need replacing soon". Now, fast forward to Mon Feb 16, we had a regular maintenance scheduled at the dealership, they checked the tires and results came back tires were fine reading 6+, picture below. A nail was found on my tire and the dealership I get my car serviced at did not have it in stock. It was a very busy Saturday with the holidays coming up but chanced coming to this location to get a new tire. I did phone ahead and was warned that it was going to be about a 5 hour wait which was fine by me. There are limited parking spots so I had no choice but to park a block down from the store. The associate that assisted me was very nice and brought my car up for me so I didn't have to go back and get it. Luckily the tire just needed a patch job and I wasn't charged for the service. Though the store closes at 5:30 on Saturday's, I came by at almost 6 to pick up my car and there were still workers out there working on cars. I've given America's Tires more than enough chances, but the experience never improves. The wait times are excessive, even for something as simple as a single tire replacement. The staff is often rude and unhelpful, and the manager in particular has shown unprofessional behavior with concerning undertones in how different customers are treated. On top of that, their warranty promises don't mean much here -- they avoid honoring them whenever possible. Honestly, one of the best customer service experiences. I had an issue with the Toyota dealership's services. (Don't go..) I had gotten the alignment done and all 4 tires swapped out that Saturday. I stayed at home on Sunday until I decided to take the car around 7pm. I hardly drove to the stop sign when I heard a loud "POP." Luckily, my neighbor's auto repair shop was open. He checked the whole tire and even put water on it to see what happened. For a while, we couldn't find out if it was a shard or nail that caused the immediate flat. Then, he found that the stem valve had air coming out of it and it was damaged. He recommended me to visit any of the tire shops to get my tires checked, since he didn't specialize in repairing stem valves. Before that though, I wanted to check with the dealership first to see what happened because literally this happened right after I got it changed up. I went during my lunch break, hoping I'd get a clear diagnosis but the lady said it would take about 2 hours just to get the diagnosis. I asked her if I'll be charged for the diagnosis...even though I know it's not my fault. She said she'll let me know after they check it, which I don't have time. So I went straight to America's Tire after I got my work laptop. Right away, Nathan greeted me and asked what the issue was. He inspected the tires and immediately noticed the issue from several glances. Not only one stem valve was missing a rubber, another one also had it missing and three tires were screwed on the wrong way. I could have gotten into an accident if I drove fast or something. The price to repair Toyota's mishap wasn't terrible. ($66 to fix up compared to their overpriced $160 labor fees) Nathan told me that they have deals on tires, alignment services and could patch up holes for free. He gave me a run down of tires life expectancy (give or take about 6 years) depending on how rough the roads are. He also noticed that the windshield wipers were getting dry and recommended a swap but left it up to me to decide. I chose to do it anyways. Honestly, I wished I came here earlier. Nathan was very thorough, attentive and polite. ((I'm getting a refund from Toyota btw)) So it all turned out fine. Everyone spoke highly of America's Tire and I see why.
